It feels surreal to see all these new F76 guides and tutorials in 2024. I’m so happy that the TV series reminded the world that Fallout existed lol
i gave up on 76 a few years ago but the tv series has really got me addicted to it again and im glad
Tv show sparked Inerest
@@KXNEKII same
Havent watched the show but got back into playing fallout games
Gotta factor in that anyone who's got any experience of Bathesda knows to give their stuff a few years to get fixed lol. I waited 2+ years before getting FO4 and it took 6 years and a TV to get me to try fo76.
For stuff to put in the garden I'd HIGHLY recommend Corn, Mutfruit, and Tato because those three along with purified water can be made into vegetable starch which scraps int adhesive.
And razor grain
Best advice.
woah, what?? Thank you! I'm level 338 and had no idea.
Adhesive is everywhere though, I pretty much never run out of it.
@@nicholausstevens1262I believe this comment’s for new players, who’d probably struggle to get steel.
For newer players let me tell you some…dont be afraid or shy to ask for anything, the fallout community is really generous and will help you in any way
@@lastking4979 also be careful there are some assholes as well as
Please keep making guides for fallout 76! I just started this game back in February and use your guides as a reference for my play through.
I very much plan to! Thanks for watching :)
@@MrWestTek Thank you!

I want to point out that you can get the chemestry workbench plan for free at some of the train stations, the plans for it are often lying on the floor next to the chemestry workbenches lol
Exactly, Morgan Town Train yard nect to the Airport. Its always next to the bench on a Cart board.
There is also free plans, I think tinker workbench, at lakeside cabins next to the bench on the Cliffside porch behind one of the cabins.
@@scottkendrix6231 yep I found it there too
I got three chemistry plans and somehow no tinker yet.
I always found a chemistry plan at the VOX mission in the basement on the chemistry bench.
I really gave fallout a chance for the first 2 years and when not much really changed I stopped playing, having come back now I’m so overwhelmed with content it makes me happy, it actually feels like a fallout game now
For chem station and tinker workbench plans, go to Lakeside Cabins workshop. You will find a plan for each at their respective bench. No need to do a quest or take the workshop. Just have to get to that location.
You didnt mention 2 things that can help out a player with these items. 1) water purifiers always generate the almost same amount of water for the time waited. For example 1 industrial purifier will produce 5 purified water roughly every 5minutes. 3 of them produce 2 every 5minutes for a total of 6. You only really need 2 and they will produce 3 per 5min.
2) besides selling weapons you pick up purified water as well as tatos are a great way to make money while semi afk. Purified water sells at 5 caps ( with hard bargain) per water and tatos sell at 2 caps. The prices dont seem high but with stacks of these items you can drain a vendor of its cash and relativly easy
you can get the fusion generator for free if you do powering up - "X" events. any of the 3 power plants. It may take 3 attempts to unlock the plan but its one of the 3 rewards that come from doing the event
That's how I got mine! I didn't know I could have just bought it, but I felt like I accomplished something by earning it 😄
Yeah, I came looking through the comments purely to see if anyone pointed this out. I wasn't aware there were even plans to purchase generators anywhere as when I first started plans in vendors were completely random each session and had a limited capacity (and also only 200 caps limit with their caps unshared by other vendors).
The events can be done at any level and rewards you with a generator plan each time and, from my experience, takes account with what generators you already know so, three clears of the event and you're gonna have the fusion generator without spending a single cap.
Nice I didnt even know the cryo-freezer has a 100% spoilage rate reduction
Takes a bit of grinding, but it's 100% the best freezer/fridge ;)
Stuff does spoil in the cryo. But spoilage rate is so slow you may not notice. I use it to store my Crannberry Cobbler, and during events like the Equinox (where I forget to use the cobbler) i can see the slight spoilage.
Regardless, it takes a looooooong time for anything to spoil.
I just started playing FO76 and didn't even know food can spoil
the sugar bombs freezer is USELESS! i have better with salt stuff lasts for DAYS in game.
@@beastabuelos6421No he’s right. Food decayed in mine too. I’ve got freezers in my 3 camps and food was still in freezer inventory with the freeze logo ❄️.
Keep on mind to not waste (especially now) rare atoms for things you can buy for gold or optain in some other way in game for ingame currencies
And with camp building assist trough team, I think only you cant build in teammate camps is atom shop items and item variants, but all ingame things should be available
Yeah nothing atom shop or special reward related can be built in someone else's CAMP, but most other things can. Also, important to note, it has to be a private team, not public. Public team mates cannot do anything to other folks' CAMPs.
For new players the ammo convertor is HIGHLY recommended it will change your experience
Yeah it makes a difference particularly at early levels. I also found the Armco Ammo machine a must have item as well. Admittedly your character eventually levels up and diminishes the need for the ammo machine but making railway spikes for ammo points from excess steel never gets old
Items we noobs can actually unlock awesome! Most long-time players forget that most of these aren't available for us.
I'm at a state where I only drink canned coffee and throw away purified water lmao
Yep same lol
Right
Same, but what does this have to do with the game?
@@lackofsleipnir3801 Your Kidneys hated that. 🤣
Sounds like real life 😂
Thanks for the tips! I’ve been free balling it in the game and haven’t really put any love into my camp. i’m going to use this video to change that.
If your new to 76 PLEASE 8:50 when you get to level 25 go get the excavator power armor! Its amazing for early game.
I still roll in full excavator after two years and 400 levels. It’s just super good.
So much for this quick essential little video I've been struggling with finding the power generator which I desperately needed
When you’re in build mode in your camp make sure you lock your resources like extractors and water purifiers. It’s LT on Xbox not sure about other platforms
You can get the fusion generator at any level, for free. You just need to complete any of the "power up (poseidon|mononga)" missions two or three times. I think during my last playthrough I did posiedon at level 10 or so. IIRC each time you complete one you get the next higher size generator (up to fusion).
Mirelurk Steamer is must have for carnivore character! 1 piece gives you +60lb of carry weight, another +50 action points and jerky gives resistance. With this steamer you will never need to farm animals for meat (i farmed brahmin before steamer to get carry weight). Unyielding build with +10 carry weight for armor gives you around 590-610 carry weight with mutation and in a team, also 440 action points with softshell meat piece from steamer, it should be available in following daily atomic shop update for 250 atoms
I always used the symptomatic for going underground, but you can just use the terminal that you get for free right away.
Ive been looking for all kinds of camp builds thisnis definitely the heat straight to the point and great stuff ill be watching your others as well
Don't know of it's been mentioned in the comments but you can also do any of the 'powering up' events at any of the power plants to get the fusion generator plans for free. I did it twice & got the water wheel and windmill generators. I think the rewards are random out of the generators but sure I heard you'll definitely have it by the 3rd event ☮️❤️✌️
I am awash with joy returning to Appalachia, having started at launch though life pulling me away in a few weeks or so and the game dropping off radar until the excellent TV series ^^ The sardonic humour feels NECESSARY in these existential times, and gameplay is so satisfying, with no surprise being a Bethesda title~
Idk if Mr Westek has done a video on this yet, but I would like to see episodes done on unspoken FO 76 rules and guidelines. Example- Don't start an event at 4 minutes on the timer. If you don't need it please don't take it. If there are multiple plans, etc, in the donation boxes, please leave some for the new players that are coming in behind you.
Thank you for your videos. I find them informative as well as enjoyable. 😃
You can find the chemistry workbench and tinkers workbench plans at the Lakeside Cabins. They’re usually just sat on the workbenches themselves.
For newcomers: If ‘Miner’s Miracle’ doesn’t activate, make sure to eliminate any Excavator Power Armor parts that a higher-level player might have given you, as this can prevent the quest from triggering properly. Simply remove them from your stash and inventory. This happened to me.
Thank you so much! I just hit level 30 the other day and I'm getting that fusion generator next time I log in.
You get water purifiers from the Overseer mission too.
I always used every box with potential loot left by players, and sometimes I asked higher level players directly if they had any plans they would like to give back :)
I regularly leave excess items at the spawn of crypt 76 or whitesprings
Just a heads up - the Miner poster is broken - just head into the building, access the receptionist computer and then search your missions to activate the mission for the marker to activate
Did not know about the private team being able to build stuff at your camp,, THANKS for that info
Helpful overview. Thanks brother!
Very happy to help :)
Excavator: there is also a sign at rusty pick to start the quest. Questline takes like 20 minutes to do. Just prepare to have enough screws like 80 or so.
Thanks for the info I'm level 5 though so I'm probably not ready for that lmao
You can also buy the symptomatic from minerva
I am a new player and every question I have had I searched on RUclips and it seems like you made a video for it recently lol! You're on the ball
Glad I could help!
Thanks for the guide i just started playing one week ago and your videos really help me alot and make the game much more enjoyable this way ❤
i played on launch and didn’t like 76 gonna give it another chance finally and use this for my camp👍
You can power up and repair one of the power plants to get the generator for free straight out the vault
I seem to remember getting all the generator plans, fusion included, for free, from doing the power plant events. I am however coming back after not playing since early 2020 so things may have changed.
Tatos, corn and mutfruit. Cook them at a fire to make vegetable starch which breaks down to adhesive which everything needs
This video is so clutch for a new player like myself. I appreciate you!
A lot of higher level players sell plans cheap to help new players.
I’m only level 21 and I’ve had the fusion generator plans for a couple levels. I did powering up Poseidon about 4 times so I think I got it from that.
All the powering up quests award random generator plans that you don't have (other than the salvaged solar panel) until you have them all :) So that is indeed where you scored it.
Awesome tips on this video. I started in March. A lot of the videos I saw when I started were outdated. This is good info here.
I've been looking into Power Armor builds and saw yours to use as a base for my level 150+ experience. I'm using a lot of INT utility perks and don't have any Legendary Perks fully upgraded yet, but I'm on the right track thanks to you and the other creators.
dont forget that when your stash fills up you can sell bulk materials to make a good amount of money and free up space
I'd say the most important premium camp station would be the Fusion Core recharging station. ITS A MUST HAVE for people who use PA or run the Gatling Laser. Since I've gotten it I have gotten a dozen cores that were at 20%< power left, now charged to 100%. I just carry 2 cores around and that lasts me all day, and I'll have more Fusion Cores fully charged waiting for me.
Fusion Core Recharger is a MUST HAVE. More so than the ammo converter.
Agreed , its kinda nice not having to buy cores or save scumming it running overencumbered ( im using an exca PA )
Just wanted to update this, the Electric Absorption perk almost completely nullifies needing a recharging station. Its infinite ammo for the Gatling Laser as long as you swap nearly empty cores into your PA.
Coming back after many moths of difficult life, you and Turtle are my go to guys for 76 thank you for the videos I'm off to finally get a fusion generator!
I think it's lakeside cabins, where there's both the tinker's workbench and chemistry station plans.
For the Water Purifiers ability it seems you can claim any claimable production location to get it, not just the one at Tyler County Dirt Track. I got it on my first character a few days ago and rerolled a fresh character with what i learned as a newbie and couldnt figure out how i had unlocked the water purifiers until this vid, lol.
The fusion generator plan can be obtained at one of the 3 power plants too after claiming them also there’s a fusion core maker there to make a fusion core every 7(im new so I’m just stating what I’ve found out so far)
Unless you have Fallout first you can't build the ammo stash and the junk stash those stash boxes are linked to having Fallout first
I’d personally skip the ammo converter and companions just because you need to pay for them. They’re very nice to have and they are extremely convenient, but it’s easy to craft ammo, and most companion boosts are pretty small. If you do want to spend money though they are a great investment.
Good with salt is a must if you carry a lot of food and then you don’t need a freezer.
The ammo converter is such a rip-off item, I would never suggest that to anybody
Why? Make only railway ammo which is basically free… then convert to whatever you’re using. It’s menu could use an overhaul tho.
Or convert cannon balls to other ammo types either way it works put pretty well even helps when you over craft ammo
If you have atoms to burn, it’s definitely worth getting. You can’t sell or scrap excess ammo, so might as well have the converter.
Like I had 3000+ .308 rounds (gifted from a high level) but those are only semi-auto capable, so I never would have got through them. Converted a bunch to .45’s for that all day full auto fun.
To each his own, but it def comes in handy
The mg 42 uses 308 if I last remember rightly
@@depressedfedora4125 it does use .308, I keep running out
Other players in a private party can put down the water coolers from holiday scorched that don't take power
I got the fusion generator from the Poseidon energy quest and workshop
Recently got into 76 since watching show and followed few of your videos so thanks for the help!
Generally enjoying the game but man are they greedy locking even basic stuff behind all the micro transactions
Thank you Mrwesttek, I can’t wait to see the number of new players explode in Appalachia!
It's happening :)
@@MrWestTek I think it’s amazing!!! Thanks for all you do!!!
Another tip is get the level three perk card can do and check trash cans and dumpsters and you will never have to worry about food I’ve found 30+ cans of just dog food in a hour
Pre-war food rarely gives buffs. Food you cook always does.
I’m a State BBQ Grand Chanpion and Jr. Pitmaster Grand Chamion, even this Brisket gots my mouth watering looks good man!!! I see no smoke ring so I’m guessing you’re up north, you got to try some south Texas brisket someday! Love sharing with the family keep it up!👍🏽
I had to look up how to build at another player’s camp, I met a new player at 2 events in the forest, and he was running around in an incomplete set of power armor. So I wanted to build him the rest at his camp, and he didn’t have a fusion generator or a power armor station. Now I can’t craft most of Raider or T-45 as i apparently didn’t learn the plans, so I’m working on those plans now.
Didn't know about the Private team & building at another person's CAMP. Thanks!
Well done. Clear and concise and very informative. Thank you...
Glad it was helpful!
I sell items in my shop for 1 cap each when I don’t need it or have too much of an item…I sell all plans at 10 caps and each star item is 50 caps per star…i sell boo legends and magazines for 150 each…I made 10k caps in one day just selling excessive ammo, guns, heals, and anything else I can’t sell after the 1400 store limit and the legendary converter is at max for the day…it works out pretty well for me and I’m happy to bless my fellow outlanders…if you ever see me my camp name is fire sale with a 4 leaf clover outside of white springs in the golf course…stay blessed and don’t go afk in event areas or there will be a nuke on your head 😅
The fusion generator can be acquired for free by doing the powering up poseiden public event, it is a random drop but it should drop by 3rd try
water purifier, mutfruit corn and tatos , you can make glue ! fusion core re charger is great, the armco amunition construction appliance is usefull as hell
How do you get the recharger and the ammo converter other than buying it with atoms ?
@@LouisKing995 i think you can buy the converter for bullion at crater, the fusion core recharger is atom shop only so far as i know
thank you man, I'm a new player and these are indeed useful information
Fun fact: The General's Steakhouse also has a plan for the marine tatctical helmet
For New Players, please let it be known. Any workshop/place you can take over will give you the blueprint if you dont already have it. You just need to take over your first one.
I'm one of those that bought the game in 2018, saw how everybody hated it, and then got my money back. 6 year later I didn't think I would be playing this game, but It's really good now. Other than the combat, that has always been one thing to complain about in the Fallout series.
Been playing for a week and honestly it’s pretty fun
Fusion core recharger is handy if you use power armor a lot.
I'm new player here, bought it for $8 is probably why. Much better than i had anticipated. I played Fallout 4 bought a couple years ago when it was pretty cheep. My computer if for sht as is my Internet, so i get dumped off sometimes at the worst time.
I remember when they put in the first few camp buff items and made food buffs worth it.
But I got so sick of chasing buffs and hunting squirrels and punching weights at c.a.m.p that it became so boring and monotonous.
Stealth armor and killer sniper rifle. Only weakness is it takes a while to defeat bosses
NEEDING fallout first to have the scrap box is so unfortunate, would be a different story if you could eventually get a plan for a non fallout first one, or just having to have it once to have access to it forever would have been so much better.
i wish they could put up 2 or more camps near each other so that we can make a castle like base, bcuz im just doing solo in private world, and building is one my faves in survival games
Essential, water cooler. Though rare its good for caps also, unfortunately its rare so people who have it kinda dont need it
Couple questions; if you start a private team, does that mean the friend uses materials from your account to make the sympto-matic and the power armor station for example? You didnt really mention what a Sympto-Matic does...is it a curing machine or something?
Also, refrigerators arent currently available in the atomic shop, can you buy plans for them at all outside of the raider camp?
Thanks for the video, I was able to get a lot of this before seeing it but its still very informative.
U can get a tinker work bench from the free trail fallout first
Btw u can buy the PA station from white spring you don't have to do the quest
MrWestTek be the content king fr fr
Every single time I claim a workbench, the next time I sign in, it's gone. Not claimed by someone else because I'm playing privately but just gone. Everything I installed all of the materials that I use to install those things, gone. I've just started playing. Best I've got is there some sort of difference between playing private and public but that doesn't make any sense. You pay money to be able to play privately but you don't get to set up any work benches? Doesn't make sense. Not sure what's wrong.
Veteran player here, I did not know about the private team building thing. Thanks for the vid
Just gonna make a call out that the stash box is broken in a sense, anything that says it weighs less in the box does not right now
Love your vids. Played all the fallout games a long time ago and finally decided to get back into Fallout 76
Happy to have you here man :)
Tbh the only thing that's needed is a stash box and work benches perks can realistically take care of the rest of your needs
like with ammo converter just put on ammo Smith and super duper from luck and that's all you need when you make ammo and theirs a legendary perk that gives you more ammo when you make it
Everything else really is just convenient not necessary
Brand New Player Glad I Came Across this 👏
Glad you checked out the video as well :)
Literally just started building my first base before servers went down. Was building in the spot with junk pile and lumber and i gotta say it has a LOT of debris any tips for that or did i make it harder on myself?😂
New player also, but im pretty sure if you put down a blanket or rug where the tree or bushes or junk is itll remove them, ive done it for trees and bushes
Theres a free ally in the atomic shop. He buffs your armor, power armor, and weapon reapair to %130!!!!! Its super cracked especially for me since im level 5
Holy crap so even if you havent unlocked it base game stuff can be placed by other players? That is good to know.
The way this video words it, the cryofreezer is available in the atom shop. However, I'm unable to find it. What category should I look in?
Sadly he misspoke. I believe it originally was a scoreboard reward and now can be bought with gold
Just had a question @Mrwesttek I just discovered vault 63 today and it is sealed do you know if Bethesda is going to do anything with it?
Apparently the skyline valley update will give us access to it finally
Don't quote me tho
So that explains where my plan for water purifier went, I bought it at train station, and cant see it anywhere to learn it. Seems it is level-locked too.
This has been so helpful. You have e yourself a new sub. Thanks.
I have a tip it’s prolly not for everyone but I sell all my 3 stars for 500 caps 2 stars for 250 and 1 stars for 150 I consistently sell and do missions to get more guns I’ve made 23k so far idk why people think they need to make all their money on 1 gun sale
I never got plans for a power armor station from that quest I had to go to white spring mall and buy it for like 1000 caps
I am new to 76 and struggling to say the least. I had no idea the generator plan was there but I have SO many quest to do and I am 38 already. I have SO many questions
Can you benefit from multiple water purifiers? I had a bunch down at one point and although they make 24 an hour none of them ever had more than two if they had any at all.
Make sure you LOCK your purifiers or random players can take your purified water. Most purifiers max out at 5 waters and will stop producing until you take the water out.
Whats up with the fusion generator in this game? i used to farm energy plant events to get the schematics and now they are sold at cranberry train station for 200 caps?😂
They are whaaa
When I got my fusion generator I went through the powering up events cause I didn't know that you could buy the plan.
