Getting that free shelter early when you start a new character is key, even if you have the ability to have multiple camp slots available. You can fill that shelter up with work benches and a vendor that is ready to be available immediately when you place down a new camp and are in a hurry to join another public event or don't have enough resources to build up a new immersive camp build. Since you don't have to rebuild the shelters at every camp slot helps a lot.
You should buy your collectrons from the atom shop. They are able to be shared with your other characters rather than just being locked to one character profile.
I’m going to start doing that, and nah don’t feel bad. I’m new but I drop stuff like that around those places and I’ll drop legendaries I can scrip or fit in my stash for the next day in front of the scrip machine. Usually deliberate as junk only drops after death

Great video 🫡 as for stimpaks I sell them for 3 caps only and the majority of the plans for 1 cap. If you go to Pricketts Fort, you can at least find 7 to 8 stimpaks lying around. And just below it, the Philippi Battlefield Cemetery, you can find 4 or 5 stimpaks lying around in the house.
I also farm the hell out of Morgantown airport, it’s right across the way from a train station, plenty of health items, and scorched to drop weapons for selling.
I throw items for default in my vending machine. I used to half the price but they didn't sell any quicker. I have no visitors to my camp unless it's a big event going on then I'll have some visitors.
My favortie use of a vault hatch is my portable camp (tent isnt always enough) and boom no need to rebuilt anything. Just pop into vault and boom all done
I use the work benches at the Whitesprings Mall all the time. Only place you can travel to when overcumbered when doing Expeditions. Didn’t know about the free shelter. I am definitely going to do this. Thanks for the info.
I also bought the company tea machine along with the cryo freezer. The company tea machine makes up to 5 of them. I store the tea, cranberry relish, and my brain bombs in it. The food and drink never perishes. Awesome thing
I have been looking for the sacred mothman tome for awhile now. Since the activity is no longer available I have been going to every player vendor but with no luck. That’s awesome you have it.
A good tip for people that don't want to farm for Veg starch or dont have the turbo granades is make a camp near those floater enemies. They drop Excess adhesive fairly often and tend to spawn back quickly so I farm them ever time I go back to my camp
Shelters are nice too because they're the same internals if you place it at multiple camps that you have. I built my decontamination shower in one because its protected in my shelter and I didn't have to craft one at each camp then, which saves a lot of the flux it required to build.
Something that would be really handy is the possibility to fast travel to the shelter of your active C.A.M.P. And they really should fix the fact that the vending machine doesn't need to be powered to be active. It's annoying to store them when you're at max caps which can happen very often once you get a grip on how to sell a lot.
@@LudovicLorant I used to have the vendors in a small room and when I got max caps I just put a wall to block the room off. Also had them behind windows and I just switched the wall to a full wall. Having them behind a powered door just feels more immersive. I enter the code, the power turns on, the door opens, the lights and the open sign turns on and the shop is ready to do business.
The people who take the in game economy way to seriously give me a chuckle. Except when they come in and buy everything up like give the new people a chance to get this stuff. It’s on them for taking up stash space, and I’ll find someone else like me selling for cheap there’s plenty of people selling suit cases for 2,000 caps lol
I run out and blow my caps on items to keep from maxing out and losing caps. If I had more camp space I would consider making a enclosed shop that I can power down and lock off access too.
Man, I server hopped for 2 hrs tonight trying to get that brahmin plan. If i wasn't at a bigger event, I was server hopping. I guessing the plan just wasn't available today. I'll give it a try tomorrow

I love having my benches and buff machines in my camp but put them in a vault to maximize budget. Thanks for the tips, especially about the company tea!
The chicken coop will also create fertilizer automatically. I think I got it for gold bullion at Foundation from Sam. Forget what level of friendliness you need to be at.
Great work. Keep them going. I appreciate you explaining things in detail because sometimes I feel like a little lost puppy when trying to get back on from a long hiatues. F76 has the best players in any mmo I've ever played
14:14 also if you are in need of the fruits and vegetables such as corn and such go to somebody's camp name may or may not have all what of the plant you need
So this is definitely a video on what he thinks is useful. I don't care for most of the things he says. But I am a higher level, I'm at the stage where I really don't care to level up. Your camp will be different to the next person, you'll find stuff you like and what you call need. I don't have most of my work benches up because I don't need it. My companion, I don't talk to her anymore, she's just there for the sake of it. Even eating and drinking I don't care for unless it's a challenge. My camp is full of plushies, the toys is what I can essential, flowers and plants, animals and loads of musicals instruments that everyone can enjoy. But that's just me, everyone is different. I know a guy who made a box and pushed his stuff against the wall, but I guess that's what he likes! So just go with what you like.
Weird thing is, some of these items were already unlocked for my second character once my first character had already unlocked them. For example, the shelter/vault was available once I started the second character at lvl 20, as well as the Company Tea machine, popcorn machine, etc.
I like the idea of shelters, but I just hate hate hate loading screens. Not being able to place an ally or any sort of resources inside is also a big turn-off for me.
Yep, I got the space woman for the lovers embrace perk. I want to try other allys but don't want to rip her console out of my camp as it's part of a larger mainframe I built for my work shop.
Not sure why you seem opposed to workbenches in a camp (not the bunker) i know when im travelling and I see a random camp, im hoping like heck they have workbenches available for me
And some items like the ammo converter can't be placed in a shelter as it's stupidly listed as a resource item. I tried to put mine there as I have no camp budget for it.
The big problem with growing plants and foods at your camp, is that Bethesda limited A LOT of what you can and can't grow. For some stupid reason, players can't grow herbs, flowers, mushrooms etc etc - only a very limited amount, compared to what we can pick in nature. I mean... WTF can't i grow Fire Caps in my basement for example... or Starlight Berries.
Same here I'd love to be able to grow ever pickable items in game but they give us barely anything. Hell you can find plots growing items like the beans that you can't grow yourself.
Tip: if you have multiple camps, you need to put a freezer in each one. If you swap camps to one that doesn't have a freezer, the game will store all those items in your stash box and it will all spoil.
You are telling me......I aint gotta light the fecker up for people to buy from the vendor........Which means I don't need the damn small gen in my house now........Happy day
There are so many layers to this game it seems. I'm 80 hours in, lv 74 and just learned about mutations a bit ago and am now just learning that I can build a shelter? So much to do!
I don't have a vendor so I switch to my shelter build on public servers. My main/production camp is on a private world. Just bliss with nobody else around.
I searched for a week in player shops for a mothman tome i found someone finally selling one but i was short 1 k caps i asked if there was anything theyd be willing to trade for it and they just dropped it on the ground for me i almost cried
The issue with Bullion items is you need not only to Ally with a faction, AND finish Wastelanders finished which is pretty boring, plus the amount of distractions there are with server events and getting more junk, it could take a long time. Infact Mortimor wont even appear untill you finish Wastelanders
My notes... 1. Shelters will also help if your camp is about to be bombed and you didn't make a spare camp. That once happened to me. Or if you log in to a blast zone. Which has happened to me a couple of times. That's another reason why having seperate workbenches and vendor down there is helpful. Which, by the way, if you put a vendor down in your shelter, it shares sale inventory with your vendor outside. So you can organize your magazine or bobblehead collection or something and put the extras up for sale without disturbing your customers. 2. No comment. 3. There's also a disease you need to get for a challenge, the way you get it is by sleeping on a dirty mattress but your clothing can massively reduce the odds of getting it. So before you lie down, strip down to your underwear. Then have your character lie down on the dirty mattress and it shouldn't take more than a few minutes. 4. Allies will also join the fight if you're attacked. I got a laugh out of watching Grandma Junko chase after supermutants and scorched beasts with a rolling pin!! Don't press her to reveal her past by the way, instant shame there pushing her. The reason she's slightly batty is because of trauma, and yelling at her pushes her to reveal that trauma before she's ready. If we had karma in this game you'd probably lose it by pushing her. If we had affinity in this game ditto. There's also some interesting dialog oversights as far as what Steven Scarberry has for responses. I camped right in the event zone for the Mothman Equinox and my camp was attacked by two vengeful mothmen in the final segment of the event. Scarberry had ZERO reaction. He just gets annoyed if you get the wise mothman buff because the cultists running the ritual event are from a sect that's enemies with his. He gives no response to being attacked by the vengeful mothman, doens't even recognize it. He also has no response to interpreter Clarence's voice echoing through the area (presumably telepathy or something like that) and no response to the weather changing. I thought this was pretty disappointing. As a final note, Sophia Deguerre and Beckett are both romancable allies. To my knowledge the only two. The Wanderer, the Punk, and the Forager are all also able to be gotten in the world rather than bought with bullion. I don't know what the other two do, but the Punk will periodically give you a quest to fight a cryptid. So if you're in the mood for big game hunting, be sure to put his radio up at your camp. 5. You can get any collectron to collect another collectron's lineup at your camp via the terminal on the booth, BUT you can't do that at workshops. And yes, you can build your collectron at a workshop and have an active one at your camp. Only way to have more than one. During Fasnacht and Holiday Scorched, you can get the Fasnacht and Santatron collectrons in the atomic shop for free. The fasnacht one will only collect sausage and donuts when fasnacht is in the game but otherwise will collect sweets and booze. So for a two week period. The Santatron collectron is similar but will periodically produce gifts during the holiday scorched event. The Santatron will produce toys and prewar sweets normally, as well as fertilizer and coal for those who are naughty. There are also some lineup differences between the Nuka Cola and Nuka Quantum collectrons as far as what they'll collect. Most notably the Nuka Cola collectron has a chance to collect nuka cranberry, which is really rare and boosts exp gain. It does not produce Nuka Quantum. The Nuka Quantum collectron will not collect cranberry, but it will collect nuka quantum. Both will produce nukacola bottles. But only the quantum collectron will produce nuclear waste and ultracite scrap. In addition the collectron terminal and collection bin can be locked seperately using the locksmith perk. So make sure you align the curser in the building menu properly. 6. Turbo fert is fantastic. I describe it as being like bonemeal in minecraft. I've also let them off to make it look like I or another person has farted. And they tend to freak newbies out. I'll be casually chatting with someone and go to farm crops with turbo fert and they run out of the way. Relax, these do no damage. 7. Razorgrain is another crop I find important. But having a little of every crop is useful too. I suggest getting the brewing bench and fermenter asap, since alcohol increases carryweight. That means you need twice as much corn and some razorgrain plants if you do. In addition a daily quest at hemlock holes will ask for carrots. Cranberry relish asks for gourds. And melon juice restores HP and is made cheaply with melon and boiling water. The simplicity of its creation is the reason why I reccomend it to newbies and why I'll periodically put some up at my shop if I'm in a newbie heavy area. If you want starter crops go to the Aronholt homestead. Only guarded by bugs and mongrels. There's a junk pile and a spawn point for power armor frames. Better, there's cranberries and pumpkins out in the field there. 8. There's a water fountain in the pavillion on the grounds of the Whitespring that does the same thing and is free. If you're REALLY badly diseased it will wipe all of them out instantly. 9. The boost Steven Scarberry gives you as his buff is identical to the mothman tome. You don't need both at once. Also I always put mine up in my camp. So if you see me floating around, make sure to give it a whirl!!! 10. No comment Bonus 1 - If your camp location is too cramped buying the chicken coop from Samuel is a better choice. It holds more and doesn't need as much room. However the brahmin in the brahmin pen can be milked. In addition workshops allow you to build 3 brahmin pens. Bonus 2 - Vending machines can also be cash registers, so if you can't find the vending machine, start looking for fancy looking cash registers. I've had loads of folks not know this and ask me where the vendor is or leave without buying anything because they can't find the register. The registers are an item from the atomic shop.
I’m still trying to get the Mothman sacred tome drop for me, but no luck. I will keep doing the event but I’m not building my hopes up. (Edit) I’m happy tonight, I’ve just got the Mothman Sacred Tome plan.

I also have two enclave turrets on the second story roof on the back of my home. I really wish they would give us craftable wall turrets would look so much better for thoses of us building more prewar like homes.
I wish we could actually store things at our camp. Imagine you hang a gun on the wall. Instead of it just holding up stash space... it's actually in the gun display.
@@brain.xpiredyeah OP is saying what if we could have displays that you can put items in and it doesn’t take up stash space. When you assign something to the store, display, or on an ally it’s still taking up stash space.

@Lionheart-mg7qf I find that lack of workbench to scrap is currently my downfall. But when I don't keep 1st it's an easy way to scrap and stuff
You can also make fertilizer at a chem station from any spoiled food.
Lmao. I also have that turbo fertilizer. 😂😂😂 I mainly use it for my gourds.
My Main camp is always for players to shop my vendor. I use my shelter for prep (sleep/games/buffs) and crafting.
Iv never used my shelter, i didnt realise it had a seperate budget! Bonus!
Yep since they haven't increased camp budget I slowly move older items from my camp to my shelter to ensure I can use the newest items I get.
Shelters are nice too because they're the same internals if you place it at multiple camps that you have. I built my decontamination shower in one because its protected in my shelter and I didn't have to craft one at each camp then, which saves a lot of the flux it required to build.
Nice to know the part with the camp allies 👍🏻 didn't know and still need some rep points for foundation 😅
Something that would be really handy is the possibility to fast travel to the shelter of your active C.A.M.P. And they really should fix the fact that the vending machine doesn't need to be powered to be active. It's annoying to store them when you're at max caps which can happen very often once you get a grip on how to sell a lot.
I have my vendors behind a code lock powered door so I just close it if my caps are maxed.
@@cortezartz I'll remember that thanks :)
As a new player, this was extremely helpful! Thanks!
I always wanted that shelter for that very same reason. Thought it was something you can buy only. Very helpful video.
Man, I server hopped for 2 hrs tonight trying to get that brahmin plan. If i wasn't at a bigger event, I was server hopping. I guessing the plan just wasn't available today. I'll give it a try tomorrow
Ehh if you're on Xbox I have a couple extra, I could give you one

Let me know if you do, I have a spare plan you can have! I'm on PlayStation
I add videos to a playlist and watch them while I'm driving or working, so I always have to check when I see your videos because you and mr WestTek sound so much alike lol 😂
This was a great list. Thank you for the really helpful list and desciption for each item. Keep up the great work
Thankfully i started playing this year during the mothman equinox and got the tome
That's one thing about the Brahma that you didn't mention you can milk the Brahma the milk is good too fill up your thirst and hunger meter
Thank you for the kind words, generous donation, AND for becoming a member to the channel! Happy to know this video was helpful.
I work from home and have been watching this in my down time and what a great video thanks legend! been watching the likes go up on the video too haha
Just whatever you do DON'T fire up F076 while working, it's a slippery slope brother lol
Thank you so much 🎉! I am a newer player and excited for this journey 💜✨️!
14:14 also if you are in need of the fruits and vegetables such as corn and such go to somebody's camp name may or may not have all what of the plant you need
Make a video about all the camp items that make resoures. ie Spoiled Fruit Tree, Mirelurk Steamer, Nuka-Candy machines etc.
Thank you for your help! I'm a new player ( started today ) lol. Very insightful
Great information. I've never thought of this
So this is definitely a video on what he thinks is useful.
My man! Always watching you even if i dont always comment. Nothinh like getting off if work late and watching Rifle & playing 76
Excellent in-depth video man! Liked and Followed
Someone might have said it here already but it would be great if you could fast travel straight into your vault and not camp first and then vault.
Similar option to fast travelling to Whitespring, Crater or Foundation - exterior or interior?
Weird thing is, some of these items were already unlocked for my second character once my first character had already unlocked them. For example, the shelter/vault was available once I started the second character at lvl 20, as well as the Company Tea machine, popcorn machine, etc.
I bought the symptomatic for 2500 caps from a player vendor and i got the fision generator from the enclave bunker
I like the idea of shelters, but I just hate hate hate loading screens. Not being able to place an ally or any sort of resources inside is also a big turn-off for me.
I just wished that they shared objects but not storage limit. If I store a weapons workbench in my normal camp, I can’t build it in a shelter.
Yep, I got the space woman for the lovers embrace perk. I want to try other allys but don't want to rip her console out of my camp as it's part of a larger mainframe I built for my work shop.
Not sure why you seem opposed to workbenches in a camp (not the bunker) i know when im travelling and I see a random camp, im hoping like heck they have workbenches available for me
Big fan rifle gaming been watching ur vids for 2years or so now youv always been super helpful i appreciate you
Thanks so much, David! I appreciate your generosity, and I'm glad to know my content has been helpful, sir!
Finally someone made a vid about this
Just a tip about shelters, you cannot build resource generators inside the shelter so they'll have to be placed at your actual camp.
And some items like the ammo converter can't be placed in a shelter as it's stupidly listed as a resource item. I tried to put mine there as I have no camp budget for it.
I would use a shelter if I could fast travel to the interior but its way too tedious to go through multiple load screens to access stuff.
The big problem with growing plants and foods at your camp, is that Bethesda limited A LOT of what you can and can't grow.
For some stupid reason, players can't grow herbs, flowers, mushrooms etc etc - only a very limited amount, compared to what
we can pick in nature. I mean... WTF can't i grow Fire Caps in my basement for example... or Starlight Berries.
Same here I'd love to be able to grow ever pickable items in game but they give us barely anything. Hell you can find plots growing items like the beans that you can't grow yourself.
Use to watch your Destiny content, now I’m watching your 76 content.
Good look homie!!
Great video rifle thanks for the info
Good video mate!
-- The Military Chryo Freezer. Probably the most useful ever :)
Tip: if you have multiple camps, you need to put a freezer in each one. If you swap camps to one that doesn't have a freezer, the game will store all those items in your stash box and it will all spoil.
@@cynforgiven1221 -- Great tip. I defaulted to putting a freezer in all 4 of my CAMPS so I accidentally avoided that problem.
Great video I didn’t know this was a thing…thanks man!
Awesome guide thank you
You are telling me......I aint gotta light the fecker up for people to buy from the vendor........Which means I don't need the damn small gen in my house now........Happy day
There are so many layers to this game it seems. I'm 80 hours in, lv 74 and just learned about mutations a bit ago and am now just learning that I can build a shelter? So much to do!
I don't have a vendor so I switch to my shelter build on public servers. My main/production camp is on a private world. Just bliss with nobody else around.
fun tip: melon tea gives health regeneration, which i find fun!
I searched for a week in player shops for a mothman tome i found someone finally selling one but i was short 1 k caps i asked if there was anything theyd be willing to trade for it and they just dropped it on the ground for me i almost cried
Chad at Camden Park sometimes sells the Fusion Generator plan
The issue with Bullion items is you need not only to Ally with a faction, AND finish Wastelanders finished which is pretty boring, plus the amount of distractions there are with server events and getting more junk, it could take a long time.
Infact Mortimor wont even appear untill you finish Wastelanders
New player tip for fertilizer if u pick plants and let them expire u can use spoiled food to craft fertilizer (no plans needed)
My notes...
10. No comment
Bonus 1 - If your camp location is too cramped buying the chicken coop from Samuel is a better choice.
Excellent info, thanks!
Hey everybody did you know this...if you didnt know. Fallout 76 is very huge and there is so much to get and do. Have fun and be patient
I miss the old rifle gaming Intro "WHATS PAPALOPPIN RUclips, RIFLE GAMING HERE" 👌
I’m still trying to get the Mothman sacred tome drop for me, but no luck. I will keep doing the event but I’m not building my hopes up. (Edit) I’m happy tonight, I’ve just got the Mothman Sacred Tome plan.
I have a camp at the monument flying spaceship in a trailer park.
In the blue trailer, i have many items you can use everything and behind the blue trailer is a mothman statue. Use it for a 5% xp boost. Also, if it's unlocked, take it. Everything in my camp is usable :)
It seems like the settlers sell better stuff for your camp like the ally’s and electrons does the raider faction not sell those?
One camp item above all others for me not mentioned is an atom shop item, but worth it, is COFFEE!

I like that everyone I know calls it Mute-Fruit but it is spelled and pronounced Mut-Fruit. Mutt like the dog that is mixed breed. Just interesting lol.
It's supposed to be pronounced as "Mute-Fruit" because it's a shortening of "mutated fruit".

Yep, they will be what I ended up doing is where I had my plants at behind my home I built an attached green house with soil floors and plant them inside so they are protected from wild life attack. I also have two enclave turrets on the second story roof on the back of my home.
I really wish they would give us craftable wall turrets would look so much better for thoses of us building more prewar like homes.
@@Milner62 you mean celing turrets?
I wish we could actually store things at our camp. Imagine you hang a gun on the wall. Instead of it just holding up stash space... it's actually in the gun display.
we do its gun display if you want to display it's like vendor machines you have to assign them there are 2 variants: regular and heavy weapon
@@brain.xpiredyeah OP is saying what if we could have displays that you can put items in and it doesn’t take up stash space.
When you assign something to the store, display, or on an ally it’s still taking up stash space.
the f.e.t.c.h collectron has several different choices to choose between what you want it to collect
Just thought I’d share a major F up I did. Worst thing is almost made the mistake weeks earlier for probably half the caps. I was at 30k in caps, it was like 4 am and I saw a Mothman throne for 24k at a player vendor. Being half asleep and having the caps I bought it. Only realizing too late that it wasn’t the book I wanted and was functionally useless. Then I remembered almost doing it a week ago, I know it had to be less than 15k because that’s all I had at the time.
If ur on ps5 i have an extra
