Gonna drop this here as a 76 veteran, if you equip the Chem fiends perk and max it. Your chems last longer and this even includes healing over time items like Stims. I usually carry 1,000+ dilute Stims since because of this. It basically makes dilutes the equivalent of regular Stims.
I'm going to be expanding my perk card selection very soon because I just leveled up enough to max out the Gunsmith perk card (think I'm saying the right one). It's the one that makes it so your guns break 50% slower (once perk card is maxed) and max level mods (once discovered). That one was/is important to me but now I can branch out a bit. Not sure what to go for first..kinda want to make food/drink (including lowering radiation intake) the best it can be. Great vid.
You don't need to spend money on repair kits there's daily stuff for a reason you get atomics from them etc meaning you can get the repair kits for free.

what about when in a fight and your main weapon breaks, Gatling Plasma in my case with the slowed gun durability loss perk equipped. I've had this happen enough in scorch beasts fights with 2 or more. To use the weapons terminal if one is near by you cannot be in PA, so you to hope 1/ you are carrying enough junk to repair 2/ plus stay alive in normal armour when you exit your PA to repair it when a quick weapon inspect and use of a atom repair case and back into the fight
If you are a gun user and and often find that your weapon breaks easily than have no fear, the forceful stock modification is just right for you. For some ungodly reason that thing makes your gun break 10 times slower. I have no idea what it is made of but ill take it if it means i don't have to go as often to the repair bench. Maybe this tip will help some people.
one thing people keep forgeting to mention, when you want to fast travel there is a few locations that allows you to do it with no caps (for free) cost like Vault 76, Whitespring, The Crater, etc. Then from there you can fast travel to somewhere nearby you want to go. That way you save a few caps. Takes more of your time and more loading, true but if want to save the money thats a nice trick to use.
In WHAT world does Dirty Water + Campfire = Purified Water? I'd have restarted the entire recording session with that mistake. : / That gets you Boiled Water which CANNOT be used to make diluted stimpacks... : / You need WATER FILTERS to process Dirty Water into Purified Water, and Water Filters require a Plan my dude...
For the quests tracked on the right side of the screen, since you can see all of them on the world map, you can click any that you want to do and a menu opens and you can choose "Make Only This Active" and it will clean up for you :)
I've played Fallout for a long time now. Didn't like 76 when I played it a few months after launch. Just started a few days ago and I'm hooked once again lol.
Yeah bro. It just got shit on when the game launched(the game did kinda suck) but looking at what they were trying to do(an open world multiplayer fallout experience) I think they’ve redeemed themselves quite nice. I played at launch for a month then stopped. Picked it up again 2 days ago, I’m almost lvl 50 and have been loving the grind

@@JB-xm1csyeah just try to get one hit on every enemy. Grenades and molotovs are helpful for tossing into groups of enemies to tag them. Radiation rumble is another outstanding event for tagging and XP. Eviction Notice is another. If you see any of those 3 events pop up, make sure to go to them.
I agree, I would pay real money for more storage weight…. As a self confessed hoarder, 1,200 weight is not even close enough… The problem is if they allow you to buy more storage space, everyone would call the game “pay to win” since when does storage space make you win and make you more powerful??
Just hit level 50 around 30 hours in and I'm trying so hard to like this game but it's a real struggle. Maybe I'm missing something but it seems the endgame really only consists of minmaxing and I don't understand how that's so fun for people when the game itself is just a constant struggle with seemingly no meaningful reward or reprieve (repairing weapons and armor, worrying about carry weight, lack of resources in normal gameplay, running out of ammo constantly, bullet sponge enemies, game-crashing bugs, etc). Was only playing to get to level 50 for the Hellcat power armor (super cool move to give me higher-level loot I can't use for completing a main quest, Bethesda!) only to realize it seems unfeasible to use power armor unless I want to spend dozens of hours farming fusion cores and repair materials. Even then, I have a limited amount of space since I don't pay for fallout 1st. I love the Fallout series probably more than any other and I really want to like this game but it feels like the game itself doesn't want me to like it... unless I spend money, of course. I'm missing something here, right? Can any vets give me advice or insight to why they enjoy it and what I'm doing wrong?
But you cant make purified water at a cooking station, well you can with a water purifier but heck if anyone knows where to get those. Its still very easy to get purified water though.
If play on Xbox my camp is far right upper corner, RapidRope452814 you can get pure watter, dirty watter which can craft into boil watter and I have Junk and vegetables anyone can harvest and use to cook 🙂 and refrigerator you can store it in so last longer. This just my way of helping. I may be low level but I did buy lots of stuff from atom shop like 20k worth because I not play in just kept my subscription 😁
Don’t overlook mutations, depending on what weapons you like some can be very good. Twisted muscles gives you extra damage for melee weapons, eagle eyes gives extra perception and crit damage, adrenal reaction gives bonuses at low health, and healing factor pretty much removes the need for stims if you play right. If you do end up playing with mutations, the perks you NEED are starched genes and class freak. A helpful one if you like teams is strange in numbers, which gives every mutated team mate a boost to their mutations. Mutations are super helpful and I recommend you do some research and get mutations that would benefit you.

I definitely run the pharmacy perk card in strength as well. 90 percent Chem weight reduction is no joke. Went from 300 pounds down to 165. It was also then i realized i carry way too many stims and radaway. Like 20 at a time is all you need lol
@@mystery785if you cancel your Fallout 1st subscription, you’ll keep the scrap box for as long as you have stuff inside it. You just won’t be able to store anything else in it. Same goes for the ammo box.
You can buy it “like a one time purchase.” Sub for a month, load it up as much as you can and then drop the sub. You keep the box even without the sub. Can’t put anything in it, however, you can use whatever you have in it when needed. It’s what I used to do. Sub for a month, run around, fill it up, then I was good for a month or two because I didn’t play often or heavily and need the scrap in it.

wow I cant believe that I wasted so many atoms on repair kits. nearly three months of playing and I've just noticed the workbench repair feature. all the videos I have watched and you are the first person to explain this properly.
When the game first came out, my friend and I who have been playing Fallout since the top-down days hated it. No NPCs random troll players just crap. I decided to revisit it here in 2024 and I am just blown away at how much has changed. One major thing is if your camp can't load due to a conflict with another player already having the spot you get a free placement. I just quit, reload in and that solves it but that at launch was a sh*tshow. Bravo Bethesda
I would say for new players that don't have fallout 1st save your atoms for the season pass , I did this on a new account. You can make way enough atoms through in game atom challenges
by the time you get mid game, YOU WILL be throwing away the 100s of stimpaks cause you will have so many, and rad away. and you will also have tons of repair kits you never paid for.
i second the bench repair, esp playin with a friend. its fun to explore and find what you need, feels really immersive in the wqorld that youre having to scav for parts
F3 New Vegas and F4 veteran hell even the Fallout London mod. Got 20+ hours in the game and my endgame is avoiding BSG monetization despite their best efforts along with load management. Daily freebies and learn the free teleport sites. Not sure how the legendary crafting system is going to affect the game but as a destiny vet when crafting came in, the grind fell away and so did the player numbers. I enjoy my couple of hours a week on the game and it would be more but I spend too much time inventory management and dealing with resources over actual missions and events. And not they aren't getting a monthly fee just to stash junk and ammo separately and a few atoms as a bribe.
Does anybody know where I can go to trade for legacy guns? I played years ago when 76 dropped and had so many like the Two Shot Exp handmade. I have a TSE Guass Rifle but it don’t hit the same unfortunately

I'm level 500+ I get repair kits for free fighting scotch beast queen event. N I only yous them wen ever n a boss fight n weapon n armer breaks. Only time repair kits shood be used.
I really appreciate the callout to vets and how different 76 feels. I just got back in to it and I can really feel the differences. Where it's similar to the others, I can do really well. But then some enemy changes or the perk system catch me so much off guard that my progress hits a dead stop. Edit: I actually dont really fast travel because I usually do survival in fo4 and also not too keen on the cost of fast travel early game. But I *do* treat my camp like a nomadic stash box while I loot, scrap and craft *anything* i can get my hands on. My caps still build up quite nicely when I use it to load off some particularly heavy loads. Feels like this game favors loot goblins

You said you can boil water to get pure water. This is not true. This gives you 'boiled water' which is used to craft food. You need to either construct a water filter or a water purifier to get pure water that can be used in chems.

as a vet who quit shortly after legendary perks came out, i hate to admit i just found out about scrapping your perk cards yesterday. i had 80+ packs jist waiting to be opened ( was like that because i was an old school player and had points set aside to build classes ) you know like back before we could move perk points around freely and it would cost us a level up point
How about new players who have never played a Fallout game start with something like 4 so they have a basic understanding of how the game works, then move on to 76. Those of us who have been playing 76 long enough know how hard of a learning curve it was even after playing other Fallout games, and we could benefit from a lot less noobs who have no idea what they're doing not showing up for events and not participating and keeping us from having enough veterans on the servers to make events worthwhile. It is a real drag that there was a high influx of new players with the show coming out. I soloed the aliens a few times because no one showed up. Still beat it. Sounds like you need a better weapon or more confidence in your character. I never expected I would beat it but I didn't give up either.
I couldn't help myself giving this game a go after watching the tv series. I really should of give it a chance earlier, but i was put off by the bad reviews on release. I haven't got very far because im a sucker for looting items and then scrapping them for building materials for later in the game.
Level 1200+ player here do NOT hike up your Charisma cards. You can switch Hard Bargain in and out as and when you need it (or make a trading and crafting build). The higher your intelligence, the more XP you'll get and the faster you'll level up Max out Life Giver in Endurance. it's far more important than Rejuvanated or Goulish (the only good card you have there is Fireprrof and you need to max it out)

I personally don't do it, I just play the game, but you can find lots of videos for the best way to run it and get max XP on RUclips A quick way of clearing the vendor every day is to sell what you pick up after events, rather than scrap it. You'll easily get your 1400 caps a day doing that. Also set up a vendor in your own camp even if you're just selling the ammo you don't use. .308, .45 and 5mm always sell for a cap a bullet and you can sell thousands at a time But don't feel the need to rush it, believe me, you'll soon get to the point where you have loads of caps and gold. Play around with different builds, ways of playing, heavy guns/rifles/shotguns/melee... there are so many ways of playing the game. Just this week I decided to make it harder on myself by only playing with pipe rifles haha I play on a PS5, so if you see me, feel free to say hi, I'm sure I can drop some guns and armour for you and take you through some events
@@paulschultz330to get caps, collect the items near a vendor and sell it back to them. Another way to get caps is sell the weapons from events that you can scrap to the vendor. West-tec is a place you can get some good exp. Radiation rumble gives both the exp plus a bunch of items you can sell. The more intelligence your character has the more exp you will get, use buffs to increase intelligence. Join a public casual team, that increases intelligence. Mostly just go fighting, cook all the foods even if you do not use or want it, it is exp. I'm on ps4 and strive to level up every day, but at 820 it is more like every other day now. Do not be concerned about dieing you lose nothing except the junk you are carrying, scrap it often.
I agree, but I would recommend new players to wait for that. I didn't my first time playing when my friend said bloodied build was OP (I got 1 tapped so much and hated it)

I'm not new to the game, but I recently got my boyfriend into it after we watched the show and I forget that a lot of stuff that is obvious to me might not be clear to new players, so these videos are a nice memory refresher (actually I'm even learning a new thing here and there) so I can help him get around as he has never really played any Fallout before 🙏
Avoid the repair kits and the utility tab in general. You can get plenty from drops from boss events and such. I will say however if you dont have fallout 1st a scrap kit or two on a long hike away from your base is handy. Great video bud, informative for the new folks 😊
Selling all items for 1 cap each has helped me get the serum recipes, in turn, using chemist and super duper to possibly get extra serums. Also, when in-game, you can create a team and get mutation benefits without having another dweller on the team. The perk cards will be specific on whether a teammate is needed for that specific effect.
Claim one workshop and you can build a small water purifier (the one you don't have to place in water) at your camp. Hook it up to one small and one medium generator and you get 2 purified water fairly quickly. Just keep checking and grabbing your water every time you return to camp.

One thing you got wrong, you said that all you have to do to get purified water is get dirty water and cook it at your cooking station…. That gives you BOILED water, not purified water.
please DO NOT buy repair kits, scrap kits or really anything from that tab of the ATOM shop... feel free to ask higher level players for items like healing items or ammo, there are so many people who just have too much stuff and would be willing to help out.
I stopped playing 76 for over a year but still checked the atom shop every day for free stuff, I have 300 lunch boxes, 150 repair kits, 20 advanced repair kits and about 50 scout banners along with a ridiculous amount of carry boosts and bubblegum. I never eat never have less that 10 buffs and never repair anything from resources
I played on launch which means I haven't played in years. But I recently broke lvl 50. The clutter on your screen tip needs some help. If you open your map and find the quest you want to do, click on it and select "make this only active quest" which is helpful. There is also a setting in the game settings that allows you to stop new quests from immediately being active.
You do need the repair kits fighting the scorch beast queen. I have had to repair my weapons up to three time in that event and you don't have time to go back to camp to do the repair.

to pick a lock, use your mouse key to pick an angle for your bobby pin. Can be any angle from 0-180 degrees. Hit the A or D key to turn the lock. If you have the wrong angle, the bobby pin will start to shake or flat out break. Keep adjusting the angle of the bobby pin while hitting A or D until the lock opens.
For xbox you hold right bumper and to kneel click right joy stick down and also there a flash light hold down b button😁 my pick lock tip is go slow, usally on 3 lock bobby pin be all way right or left and then on 2 it be like right or left corner and for hacking just back out once down to 1 and reenter your chance be refresh 🙂
Join a casual team for more xp. You do not have to play with the team to get the benefits. There are food and drinks that can boost different things (xp, carry wt, intelligence, bargaining, etc). Learn which food or drink you need for the occasion.

To get the armor you need to unlock Vault 79. You unlock Vault 79 by completing these missions: Trade secrets Invicible ties Duty calls Cheating death Fun and games The Ol Western Shuffle All that glitters/buried treasures You will also need gold to purchase the plans from one of the NPC's in Vault 79. You get gold By exchanging Treasury Notes at Gold Press Machines up to a daily limit. Treasury Notes can be earned from Wastelanders daily quests and by completing Public Events. Hope this helped.

One thing my old friend taught me was hoard your stim packs. Heal with food,cola or cannibal perk. Only use stims if you get crippled.

Some would argue you could technically manufacture a near infinite suppy of rescources for unlimited ammo.

I use speed demon, healing factor, and marsupial on my shotgun build, with a vampire explosive shotgun, every shot heals me to full health if it hits.
@@aaronball4700I got Marsupial as well. I use it mainly for traversal and to get up to hard to reach places so I can use my sniper rifle

I definitely run the pharmacy perk card in strength as well. 90 percent Chem weight reduction is no joke.
Went from 300 pounds down to 165.

@@mystery785if you cancel your Fallout 1st subscription, you’ll keep the scrap box for as long as you have stuff inside it. You just won’t be able to store anything else in it.
Same goes for the ammo box.
You can buy it “like a one time purchase.” Sub for a month, load it up as much as you can and then drop the sub. You keep the box even without the sub. Can’t put anything in it, however, you can use whatever you have in it when needed. It’s what I used to do. Sub for a month, run around, fill it up, then I was good for a month or two because I didn’t play often or heavily and need the scrap in it.

When the game first came out, my friend and I who have been playing Fallout since the top-down days hated it. No NPCs random troll players just crap. I decided to revisit it here in 2024 and I am just blown away at how much has changed. One major thing is if your camp can't load due to a conflict with another player already having the spot you get a free placement. I just quit, reload in and that solves it but that at launch was a sh*tshow. Bravo Bethesda

I would say for new players that don't have fallout 1st save your atoms for the season pass , I did this on a new account. You can make way enough atoms through in game atom challenges
by the time you get mid game, YOU WILL be throwing away the 100s of stimpaks cause you will have so many, and rad away. and you will also have tons of repair kits you never paid for.
I go to the wayward and drop some there. I drop stims and rad away. I place them in containers so they do not despawn.
Dont store junk...store the materials from the junk

i second the bench repair, esp playin with a friend. its fun to explore and find what you need, feels really immersive in the wqorld that youre having to scav for parts
F3 New Vegas and F4 veteran hell even the Fallout London mod. Got 20+ hours in the game and my endgame is avoiding BSG monetization despite their best efforts along with load management. Daily freebies and learn the free teleport sites.
Not sure how the legendary crafting system is going to affect the game but as a destiny vet when crafting came in, the grind fell away and so did the player numbers. I enjoy my couple of hours a week on the game and it would be more but I spend too much time inventory management and dealing with resources over actual missions and events. And not they aren't getting a monthly fee just to stash junk and ammo separately and a few atoms as a bribe.
Does anybody know where I can go to trade for legacy guns? I played years ago when 76 dropped and had so many like the Two Shot Exp handmade. I have a TSE Guass Rifle but it don’t hit the same unfortunately
I have 1 of my 2 camps as a mobile camp to make it easier and I can put more in my mobile camp than a fallout 1st survival tent

I'm level 500+ I get repair kits for free fighting scotch beast queen event. N I only yous them wen ever n a boss fight n weapon n armer breaks. Only time repair kits shood be used.
I really appreciate the callout to vets and how different 76 feels. I just got back in to it and I can really feel the differences.
Where it's similar to the others, I can do really well. But then some enemy changes or the perk system catch me so much off guard that my progress hits a dead stop.
Edit: I actually dont really fast travel because I usually do survival in fo4 and also not too keen on the cost of fast travel early game. But I *do* treat my camp like a nomadic stash box while I loot, scrap and craft *anything* i can get my hands on. My caps still build up quite nicely when I use it to load off some particularly heavy loads. Feels like this game favors loot goblins

You said you can boil water to get pure water. This is not true. This gives you 'boiled water' which is used to craft food. You need to either construct a water filter or a water purifier to get pure water that can be used in chems.
I've dropped thousands of repair kits from doing the queen. No need to buy them. Also it's easier to go to the map and select show only this quest.
Purified water is not boiled water. Boiled water will not make diluted meds. Do your research before you give bad advice Termx

As a seasoned veteran of this game the most important thing to know DO NOT SCRAP ALL YOUR PERK CARDS, ONLY DUPLICATES AFTER MAX LEVEL
as a vet who quit shortly after legendary perks came out, i hate to admit i just found out about scrapping your perk cards yesterday. i had 80+ packs jist waiting to be opened ( was like that because i was an old school player and had points set aside to build classes ) you know like back before we could move perk points around freely and it would cost us a level up point

Never liked fast traveling, too cheap and immersion breaking.
How about new players who have never played a Fallout game start with something like 4 so they have a basic understanding of how the game works, then move on to 76. Those of us who have been playing 76 long enough know how hard of a learning curve it was even after playing other Fallout games, and we could benefit from a lot less noobs who have no idea what they're doing not showing up for events and not participating and keeping us from having enough veterans on the servers to make events worthwhile. Thanks.

I couldn't help myself giving this game a go after watching the tv series. I really should of give it a chance earlier, but i was put off by the bad reviews on release. I haven't got very far because im a sucker for looting items and then scrapping them for building materials for later in the game.

Level 1200+ player here do NOT hike up your Charisma cards. You can switch Hard Bargain in and out as and when you need it (or make a trading and crafting build). The higher your intelligence, the more XP you'll get and the faster you'll level up
Max out Life Giver in Endurance. it's far more important than Rejuvanated or Goulish (the only good card you have there is Fireprrof and you need to max it out)

@@paulschultz330the fastest way to get XP is to run WestTek. I personally don't do it, I just play the game, but you can find lots of videos for the best way to run it and get max XP on RUclips
A quick way of clearing the vendor every day is to sell what you pick up after events, rather than scrap it. You'll easily get your 1400 caps a day doing that. Also set up a vendor in your own camp even if you're just selling the ammo you don't use. .308, .45 and 5mm always sell for a cap a bullet and you can sell thousands at a time
But don't feel the need to rush it, believe me, you'll soon get to the point where you have loads of caps and gold. Play around with different builds, ways of playing, heavy guns/rifles/shotguns/melee... there are so many ways of playing the game. Just this week I decided to make it harder on myself by only playing with pipe rifles haha

@@paulschultz330to get caps, collect the items near a vendor and sell it back to them. Another way to get caps is sell the weapons from events that you can scrap to the vendor.
West-tec is a place you can get some good exp. Radiation rumble gives both the exp plus a bunch of items you can sell.
The more intelligence your character has the more exp you will get, use buffs to increase intelligence. Join a public casual team, that increases intelligence. Mostly just go fighting, cook all the foods even if you do not use or want it, it is exp.
I'm on ps4 and strive to level up every day, but at 820 it is more like every other day now.
Do not be concerned about dieing you lose nothing except the junk you are carrying, scrap it often.
Mutations are the best part of the game, and if you're playing at full health and no rads, are you even playing?

I'm not new to the game, but I recently got my boyfriend into it after we watched the show and I forget that a lot of stuff that is obvious to me might not be clear to new players, so these videos are a nice memory refresher (actually I'm even learning a new thing here and there) so I can help him get around as he has never really played any Fallout before 🙏

Avoid the repair kits and the utility tab in general. You can get plenty from drops from boss events and such. I will say however if you dont have fallout 1st a scrap kit or two on a long hike away from your base is handy. Great video bud, informative for the new folks 😊

Selling all items for 1 cap each has helped me get the serum recipes, in turn, using chemist and super duper to possibly get extra serums.
Also, when in-game, you can create a team and get mutation benefits without having another dweller on the team.
The perk cards will be specific on whether a teammate is needed for that specific effect.

Use a water filter with dirty water
It's a crafting item
Claim one workshop and you can build a small water purifier (the one you don't have to place in water) at your camp. Hook it up to one small and one medium generator and you get 2 purified water fairly quickly. Just keep checking and grabbing your water every time you return to camp.

One thing you got wrong, you said that all you have to do to get purified water is get dirty water and cook it at your cooking station…. That gives you BOILED water, not purified water.
please DO NOT buy repair kits, scrap kits or really anything from that tab of the ATOM shop... feel free to ask higher level players for items like healing items or ammo, there are so many people who just have too much stuff and would be willing to help out.
I stopped playing 76 for over a year but still checked the atom shop every day for free stuff, I have 300 lunch boxes, 150 repair kits, 20 advanced repair kits and about 50 scout banners along with a ridiculous amount of carry boosts and bubblegum. I never eat never have less that 10 buffs and never repair anything from resources

You can earn repair kits by doing events. The ones you get from the queen repair for 150% as opposed to the atom shop ones only at 100%.

I played on launch which means I haven't played in years. But I recently broke lvl 50. The clutter on your screen tip needs some help.
If you open your map and find the quest you want to do, click on it and select "make this only active quest" which is helpful. There is also a setting in the game settings that allows you to stop new quests from immediately being active.
You do need the repair kits fighting the scorch beast queen. I have had to repair my weapons up to three time in that event and you don't have time to go back to camp to do the repair.

Lockpicks you need bobby pins, to throw nades and stuff, click on them in your pip boy and they will hotkey until you run out (PC is G or V I think)
@@ItzTermx On PC, the default for grenades/molotovs is left alt key
to pick a lock, use your mouse key to pick an angle for your bobby pin. Can be any angle from 0-180 degrees. Hit the A or D key to turn the lock. If you have the wrong angle, the bobby pin will start to shake or flat out break. Keep adjusting the angle of the bobby pin while hitting A or D until the lock opens.

For xbox you hold right bumper and to kneel click right joy stick down and also there a flash light hold down b button😁 my pick lock tip is go slow, usally on 3 lock bobby pin be all way right or left and then on 2 it be like right or left corner and for hacking just back out once down to 1 and reenter your chance be refresh 🙂
Join a casual team for more xp. You do not have to play with the team to get the benefits. There are food and drinks that can boost different things (xp, carry wt, intelligence, bargaining, etc). Learn which food or drink you need for the occasion.
What lvl do I need to be to get secret service armor, and can I use a jetpack with that armor? Really great and useful video .

To get the armor you need to unlock Vault 79. You unlock Vault 79 by completing these missions:
Trade secrets
Invicible ties
Duty calls
Cheating death
Fun and games
The Ol Western Shuffle
All that glitters/buried treasures
You will also need gold to purchase the plans from one of the NPC's in Vault 79. You get gold By exchanging Treasury Notes at Gold Press Machines up to a daily limit. Treasury Notes can be earned from Wastelanders daily quests and by completing Public Events.
