I’ve been following your channel for a while trying to build up the courage to body work and paint my 1993 Nissan Sentra SE-R myself and you just make my freaking day!!! I am Jamaican and seeing you crush that patty and coco bread made my night!! Even had the authentic Jamaican D&G soda!!! Keep doing what you do brotha!
You can do it man. I painted my '93 MR2 after learning from RUclips videos. If you make a mistake, that's what sandpaper is for! It's been three years and I couldn't be happier with my results. People compliment the paint at car meets and I'm like yeah, I did that myself in my driveway for $400!
Been using this gun lately and pretty happy with it. Over on another channel, I seen one fail due to a bad needle. No problems with mine so far. At the price I got it, worth every penny and then some.
Machine. Love the eg in that color. I'm spraying b56m-3 Saxony blue metallic on my old 89 ef civic. I like the paint suit. I made sure to get me one so I'd be safe lol. I also got a couple of r500's the aero pro a610 and the drizzle like in the video. I had the yt160 but gifted it to a friend. Man that paint looks good. Hopefully I can make mine look decent from 10feet away 😂
That last gun is intended for oil base , rubber undercoating traps moisture and rusts underneath. Not that you have to worry about any of that in florida lol
Personal recommendation: Do not use rubberized undercoatings in harsh environments, as they can harden, crack etc. and moisture can creep under them, speeding up rusting, without you being able to see it. For harsh (cold) conditions purely wax based products protect better. There’s actually a product which was developed for ski lifts, which works best and is used by European alpine region car shops. Great video as always! Best wishes
Up here in Canada undercoating is a must, the gun looks great but rubberized undercoating is not recommended as it has shown to trap moisture and rust underneath. You make painting look so easy great job.
@@mikem5475 - Why don't hit them? Why use them? Why are they great? The couplers and fittings when used together flow about 250% what an "M" style (the one that will come with most tools) does. But IF you don't need the flow, you can still stick an "M" fitting into a "V" coupler (so you simply don't have to replace them all) for convenience.
Drizzle D1 / Aeropro 610 / R500 is a solid gun. I'm starting to see some internal wear after using mine for a year.... so I think a new needle kit would be good for longevity after a year
So i had this gun and the R500 aeropro side by side and the fan is smaller on the D1/610 model so i sent it back. Also the trigger throw was short and stuck open. May have been a dud, but either way back to amazon it went to add a 2nd R500 to the arsenal instead 😅
Some very high quality ones do not crack at least for a long time. But you are right I wouldn't risk it either, my old vw golf mk2 has cavity wax in those areas under the fender and inside cavities as well.
@ lol I am looking into Integra GS-R in Aztec green so keeping my Civic Paradise Blue green would be a nice companion. green color used to be so popular but you can’t find a green car today new.
@HiFiInsider keeping the original color is always best my '14 Fit is blue raspberry, it's kinda green, reminds me of these early 90s civic colors. There are so many good green pearls!!
I see conflicting arguments about the cfm rating of the D1 drizzle (7+CFM). Some say its ok for a small compressor some say its to air hungry. I've been debating between this gun and the ANI compact for a small compressor friendly gun to spray a whole car with. Time isn't an issue so the ani being a mini isnt a problem for me. What do you think the correct choice would be?
You can checkout Chris at GarageNoise I believe he has alot of the same guns... r500,yt160,drizzle etc I believe he's had good success with them with a 27 gallon harborfreight compressor
I also think it's like 9cfm between 29 to 43 psi... on the drizzle... I like the eastwood lt100... it's like 3 or 4 cfm at 30psi I believe... round same price
My Integra GSR is a similar color, BG-33P Paradise Blue Pearl used in 94-95 only. Wish you could respray it, it needs it badly. I’ll probably end up trying to learn to do it myself at some point, when I have more garage space.
Do your leg hairs feel sticky in the wind? I know when I do a respray on the finish line and I’m not wearing a long sleeve I can feel the clear on every hair.
Great video as always bro💯💪 what would be your recommended settings for the Vevor R500 lvlp spray gun as to fan, fluid and psi?? ...im about to spray a single stage white paint on my Toyota...i was thinking full fan, full fluid and about 26 psi
Ummm, no. the colour is called Paradise Green Blue Pearl. Unless he chose this " aztec cringe " for his honda but that's not the original OEM colour that the car was originally sprayed with.
In that area cavity wax works best. I love lanoilin based coating but they do wash off fairly easy and need regular application, although in that area it wont be washed off but still cavity wax is perfect for that area as my classic vw golf mk2 from factory is coated with wax in that area.

Its a great company. If you have any failure they would back the product.

Those civics and colors are a blast from the past. Nice job as always with an inexpensive gun. Enjoy your evening my friend.
Sure are! Really makes you feel good and older at the same time to paint them
The old Hondas and Bodevision is how I found the channel. I always wanted a civic in this color. Man that car is perfect.

Just bought your lab coat. Thanks for all the teaching you are giving us
Ty so much for the support of the channel. You will love it !
I got the paint suit and love it. The lab coat looks awesome too though.
Glad to see you're using the Milton "V" coupling (purple)! They're awesome, and all I use.
I stopped using the devilbiss. Too pricey. Bought those for cheap n they are great. Good catch
@@PaintSociety - with those aluminum fittings, just don't let 'em hit anything hard as they dent easily. That's about the only thing with them.
Why

@@DrFiero for a spray gun, the m coupler is all you need. It flows plenty. No need to reinvent the wheel
Patty and cocoa bread WITH the kola champagne bro??????? Unbeaten combo!!!! Make em put some cheese in the patty next time.
The cocoa bread hit the spot. Its been a while. This was my gift for doing a free blend for the gentleman in the video and it was worth it

Wouldn't use rubberized coatings. When they dry out and start to crack, mousture traps under it and you would see the rust when its to late.

it is good a when we spray a "new" color tired of silvers , white and black ..
Great tips I really enjoy your video tips😊
Glad you like them!
Still using the Innocraft gun I see..I love mine.
Its a top DIY Gun !
Brian! I need my 95 Civic painted in paradise blue green pearl.
Do it in this color !

Do you get upolb raptor truck body paint in us.? Think you need to look at bilthammer or lamp guard cavity wax

Those older colors back in the 90s hit differently man. Good luck with the project!
Just picked up Tahitian Green Pearl variant of this car. Any tips for spraying that or pretty much same as aztec green?

I recall paint whole car for less than 60. In
Early 70 s for earl scheib paints in california
Can you imagine that!
What do you think of this gun vs the masterpro ?
What size compressor is needed for the drizzle?
Good question, whats the profesional way to paint a chrome bumper to another color ( black) other than chrome?
80 grit the hell put of it. Epoxy primer it. Scuff epoxy 320. 2k primer. Sand primer n paint

Honestly it'll depend on the viscosity of the single stage, I generally run it at 29-34psi
With the rustproofing gun, you would be using cavity wax which is thinner anyway.
8:07 but how did you get your booth door to close so easy?
Thats a slam. That door doesnt close easy. Watch my other videos hahah😅
When is the next Honda Show? I have a Honda Acty K truck I’d like to bring out.
I ment upol raptor paint and lanoguard cavity wax.
Is that an oem wing?
Good job my friend I like it 👌
Thank you
Why did Snoop get the D1? For Drizzle!
That spray gun looks very similar to the aeropro a610
What’s the color code
Maybe if Pontiac Aztec was in this color it wouldn't be so hideous 😂.
Serious question: How do you have any brains left after breathing all those VOCs? For real. Am I freaking out too much about the fumes?
The respirators we use work well but there are better ones out there for full face coverage
Only way to eat jamaican beef patty coconut bread 😊😊😊 perfect
The best!
Honda meet whaaaat.
Dumb question... does anyone ever tint their clearcoats or is that a bad/pointless idea??
What would be the reason for tiniting the clear? To give a candy effect?
