    Great video young man! Get yourself one of the small infrared heat lamps to use in these situations. Not only will it be faster it will also be more cost effective by NOT having to crank up the heat in the booth. And infrared lamps cure the paint from the inside out which will help you when trying to correct these types of issues. Infratech has some good ones . If you want one of the big boys check out the ones made by IRT. Cheers , William

    So Brian I’ve been watching since you were in your home made plastic spray both in your mom’s garage and appreciate all of the knowledge you share! I have a question I’m doing my first base clear job and it’s two tone my problem I believe will be getting all the masking done and remasking for the clear in the times I have to work with! Can I come back the following weekend and scuff my base with a 600-800 paper and have good adhesion. What causes the clear to start popping off , I’ve seen a lot of vehicles with this going on and don’t want to be one of them? Thanks for your professional input!

    • @PaintSociety
      @PaintSociety  Год назад +2

      You can scuff it but you need to apply base again because it will distort the base if you scuff it. I would just clear it and then come back and scuff the clear

    Been loving your videos however I have a question I haven't seen asked or answered.... I had a Celica 2002 it was a dark metallic silver (not the standard cheap looking silver). I'm the UK I believe it was called "Thunder Grey". It wasn't a common colour however EVERY celica in this colour has the same issue. The front bumper always looked like it was matching the wings and bonnet (hood) until you viewed it from a certain angle. Then the paint looked more bronze metallic. Why is this? I presumed it was because the bumper was plastic and not metal. How can you ensure the bumper colour matches the body? I've seen similar issues with several other standard non damaged new cars. ❤

    • @PaintSociety
      @PaintSociety  Год назад

      Different materials, and sometimes different angles metallics will reflect themselves differently, giving a different shade or appearance, completely normal.

    that open blen in the seal panel, maximum 3 months and it will become very noticeable for a professional job, it is better to blend the complete quarter panel! But if the client is what they pay, oh the insurance is what they want!! What else can we do

    • @yojoebananas

      You talking about the panel above the door where the clear is blended? I was wondering about that.

    • @edgartafoya
      @edgartafoya Год назад

      Yes, in a few months it will be noticed, where the original clear and the new clear begin, it is advisable to put clear on the entire panel, but the insurance companies or clients do not want to pay extra for the work, the painter does what the estimate says, It does not mean that the painter is doing something wrong, his work is excellent.
