Chronos implying that Zagreus blood sacrificing titans blood to his weapons was what brought Him back is rather spine chilling.
Probably not completely his fault but to at least partially probably
The flavor text of almost every Titan's Blood weapon upgrade mentioned that the blood was either restoring the weapon to its ancient form or aging it into a more powerful one. Past and future. They told us from the start that we were using Chronos' blood, but we never gave it a second thought.
Looking back, it was OBVIOUS that we were pouring Chronos' blood onto our Infernal Arms. The flavor text of every Titan's Blood weapon upgrade mentioned that we were either restoring the weapon to its ancient form or aging it into a more advanced one. The devs told us upfront that we were using the power of time, but the ramifications of that fact were lost on us.
Why do people assume its zag instead of whatever the fuck the satyrs kept doing in the styx temple during hades 1
I think more than 1 character would have advised zag that it can revive mr time himself
Naaaah i don't think so, maybe it was a cult or something
The way Orpheus dodged a bullet not coming to work that day
lmao
His voice suddenly distorting when he says ''Oh I haven't eaten them'' still gets me. He's referencing the time when it was predicted that Chronos would be deposed by one of his children so thusly his way to stop that prophecy was to eat them all. He only missed Zeus because Chronos's wife, Rhea, managed to save him. It's implied pretty much any of the children he did eat (in this case Poseidon and Hades) were traumatized by that whole incident.
Chronos knows exactly what hes doing with mentioning that. Not only is he poking at Hades traumatic abuse of him but I am pretty sure hes threatening Hades with the fact that he could eat his family if he doesn't give into his demands. It's a calculated sadistic ploy that shows just how monstrous he is.
“Another titan”
That’s no way to talk about mama Rhea trying to protect at least one of her babies 😂😅
That other Titan was Chronos’s wife, and she was fed up (heh) with Chronos eating his kids. I can only wonder whether we’ll run into her at all in this game.
@@MV96_ Fair, I am not as knowledgeable on the Titans so I forgot which was the mother of the Olympians. I also know that in Hades that they changed things up a little bit. In the Greek myths Chronos ate all of the Olympians barring Zeus. This included Hestia, Hera, and Demeter. In Hades though it appears that he only got Hades and Poseidon while Hestia, Hera, and Demeter's father was Hyperion...who also was described as being really abusive to them.
We might see Rhea appear in-game at some point. We already have Selene being a friendly ally.
What's crazy is apparently he wasn't even the worst titan parent. That award apparently went to Hyperion, who was the father of Demeter, Hera, and Hestia in Hades lore.
Even Hades himself said that they had it worse than he, Posiedon, and Zeus did.
The conversation between Hades and Chronos is genuinely terrifying. The mighty Lord of the Underworld is reduced to a scared, quivering child in front of his abusive father, and Chronos knows EXACTLY how much control he has over his son. He doesn't need to toss around swear words or lash out at him physically; the sound of his voice is more than enough to get the message across.
yeah fr. hes like "i made you boy, know your place. this is my house now"
Considering he did eat him as a child and is supposed to be dead, I'd be terrified too.
Even worse is that Hades is the oldest of Chronos' kids meaning he was the first to get eaten. He was inside Chronos' belly for a LONG time, that trauma stays with him forever.
I know it breaks my fucking heart
@@EmptyMan000 Actually, its Hestia that is the oldest. She was the first to be eaten and last to be disgorged, hence the poets describe her as both the youngest and the oldest child. Kronos vomited up his children in the reverse order in which he had swallowed them - first Poseidon, then Hades, Hera, Demeter and Hestia. Hades is one of the youngest children, but either way, he was in Chronos belly for a long time.
I wish they'd at least update the bedroom art to show Melinoe's crib. That would've been a nice albeit bittersweet touch.
Its still early acces, so they still might do that.
@@Mlurd1 True.
I'm going to go out on a limb and bet that in the full game, after a certain point, every time we defeat Chronos we can rescue one prisoner. So we have to do it at least seven times to get everybody home.
That would be cool. I wonder if you would get to choose the order?
Yes please that would be wonderful
Zagreus being the last and we have to fight him
@@Gooberwares Like Chronos possessing the characters like Cerberus got twisted ?
@@Gooberwares Idk, I feel like Mel would want to save her brother and mother first.
"I have not eATeN tHEm or anything..."
That was bone-chilling.
Imagine Logan Cunningham just having a talk with himself in his booth switching between voice models. Dude got raaaaaaaaange
thats the same va?!?!?!
I think the reason Melinoe can see this vision is because of Hypnos. He’s Sleep, so I think he’s been doing Something behind the scenes since he’s been snoring all this time. Communicating with the trapped Cthonic Gods via dreams? Helping Melinoe in some way? He feels like a wild card held in reserve, this could be His Moment, coming in clutch with a vital piece of information when needed. Otherwise, why keep him around instead of frozen, writing-wise?
She's the goddess of nightmares she often experiences bad dreams cause of it.
@@aolremembers9450| ya know... we havent seen morpheus at all... and considering they're pulling all stops until the big 1.0, i'm really hoping the messenger of dreams (i think?) can make his appearance. that, and iris (the rainbow goddess / another messenger of the gods)
@@daeity1 morphseus is a roman deity.
Kinda looks like zag is cracking the time cage
I don't see it
Looks like Zagreus got a little taller
Looks like he froze Zagreus in mid-attack. :( On a different note: my firsts time seeing Chronos. What a crazy awesome design! And creepy voice acting.
i like the gold streaks on his body which i think reference him being cut apart and spread everywhere
@@gucci42069 I believe its a reference to the Japanese are of Kintsugi, where you repair a broken item by filling the cracks with gold. Shows how, although he was broken once, he has come back better
Damn chronos is cool, his design is awesome
the dialogue and voice acting are amazing. damn
One thing i cant understand is how exactly Cronos was able to overpower Nyx, considering that she is one of the primordial gods and is both older and more powerful than Cronos
It gets worse when you consider that Thanatos, literally the idea of death, is also trapped
I guess no body is dying until hes out
Time cage baby
Nyx is clearly weaker than Uranus yet Chronos overpowered him too, when he was much younger and less experienced. Time magic is imba
@@AtticusKarpenterthe reasoning mythology gave on how Kronos killed Uranus is that Uranus was on the Earth at that time, away from the Sky which was his domain
I hope at the end of the game when we finally free everyone we get a zagreus boss battle. Looks like the old game models are still here so maybe throw in some team fights with thanatos and meg. Or even have him using the gods favor like when he fought theseus.
Damn Hecate has that 6 pack going on
hades 3 NEEDS to have hades be the final playable character
So Hypnos and Orpheus managed to escape?
In Hades 2, Hypnos is in the hub world
Orpheus was probably with Eurydice when it happened
To quote Hecate, she took Hypnos "because he was there," I believe it was
I got Chronos to 1 hit left then died and was so mad I just skipped all the dialogue in this cutscene and regret it and have to watch it here now lmao
I am surprised he could timestop nyx O_O
okay.
time to call in kratos
Whyd he put Dusa in the time cube tho
Dusa is dangerous
She is able to fight lol
The head of Medusa is still Medusa. Who knows what she could do if she put her mind to it.
why does the bed have only 1 pillow?
when we rescue the queen she get her own pillow
Could be staying in the baby's room as some mothers do.
A bold assumption Hades does not give her the pillow and sleeps without one because it builds character or something
@@BartlebyScrivener-oz6mkeither that or persephone makes him sleep on the floor
or persephone started using hades himself as a pillow. look at that chest man, probably serves as a heater too
imagine we get an option to fight chronos as hades
Why did he ask Hades where the Fates are? Are they in the underworld somewhere, and what does he hope to do? They don't predict the future, they create it. It was they who decided he would fall in the Titan war.
He can't do anything to them.
A later conversation reveals he banished the Fates to an unknown corner of spacetime, and the Fated List reveals they're currently trying to contact Mel for help. So he can, in fact, do anything to them.
However he did basically cheat, Chaos reveals Chronos deceived them into revealing their location.
Yes. The fates reside in the underworld. Like Hecate said, time moves quick. Honestly I don't know the scope of fates in this game so...
I mean in GOW you kills fates lol.
According to Zeus' reaction when he heard about Fates he claims that them out of picture makes the future unpredictable
DUSA!
How do you get these?
