Incredible show. I was already aware of the commissioner, but hearing his perspective, his incredible intuition and navigating the political aspect of the job was powerful.
Some men are characters. We're familiar with many. Then along comes a man of great character. Commissioner Nigro is one such man. Was incredibly wonderful listening to him.
Great show. The Commissioner’s recollections of 9/11 were riveting and tragic. And Producer Pete putting his eye drops in on camera was slightly lees so.
Haven’t listened to it yet but really interested in hearing his explanation for his actions which led to the firing of firefighters, who worked through the pandemic, for not taking the shot.
Right when you do a good show, you do another show which cleans house on all the other shows total...you did it here....Iam not FDNY but this shows us all the right man for the job too have the intestional fortfitude too make the hard, ugly, smelly discissions in a large organizion tookeep wheels rolling.Ep 91commissioner Nigro. educational ,entertaining.{Ah stand in another mans shoes and walk a round a bit} YEP..ohio.
This was as incredible as I thought it would be. Thank you Kevin, Lou, and Pete for getting Commissioner NIgro on.
Chief: "We've Always Had a Deep Bench"...
That was it for me Lou
Watched this for the millionth time - have to give a few dollars

What a History Lesson on today's show. Thank you to the "Gettin Salty Team".

I appreciate the Commissioners openness to answer the questions. It's not easy being at the top. It's OK to disagree, It's not OK to disrespect!
Just finished the show...excellent job men! Commissioner Nigro was a great guest.
Awesome show, you guys asked some great questions and The Commish was a treasure trove of info.
Listening to answers to some tough questions I thought he did well. Love this show! You guys are awesome!
Another excellent Podcast. Sorry to have missed it live.
Great Segment indeed !!
Fantastic show again. Thanks
Great show gents I may only be a buff from across the pond but to listen to what the comish had to say was very interesting.

Great show!!
Always was happy to see this Chief at the edge of the pit..
Enjoyed you guys as always
It would be so cool if y’all could have Chief Pfeifer on the show!
Another great one.
Pete’s face when Kubes shakes his cubes! 😠😄
I take my hat off to him - I don’t think people realise how political the position is and how much you’re told how you will do your job
How about the city pays its EMTs and paramedics they salary we deserve? That will slow the rate of attrition
Haven’t listened to it yet but really interested in hearing his explanation for his actions which led to the firing of firefighters, who worked through the pandemic, for not taking the shot.
He said it was above him, and he’s correct.
Time will tell.

Too bad his audio was off. Was like Star Trek with Scotty saying, " She's breaking up!".
Have you guys had Chief Pfphier on? Forgive me if my spelling is incorrect
not yet

Something was off with the audio on this one. Anyone else that started talking caused the Chief to cut out for a few seconds.
They mentioned it during the show
@@JohnpaulDejoria666 Haven't watched the entire episode, will finish it later.
Should have been allowed to stay on the job by the new mayor.
On the job in seven decades. A whole 32 days in the decade of the 60s - all of it in the Fire Academy.
Your point is ?
He shouldn't brag about his "seven" decades, especially since he left the job in 2002 and didn't return for almost 12 years.@@Liverpool270
@Kevin Brown which he mentions during the conversation
