I was a Volley from 1986 (16 yrs old) until 2021 (51 yrs old) and I started reading Chief Dunn at the age of 16. I would read his articles during the day in high school.

I had the opportunity to speak with Chief Dunn at a seminar, a very approachable person.
He inspired me to become a chief officer
    True gentleman.

Cleveland Ohio used Vincent Dunn books for promotional test. Ch Dunn’s books were not just educational but his books were a entertaining read. Well written and helped me get promoted to Captain. God Bless to all.

Gotta love Chief Dunn!! Thanks for this podcast guys! Chief Dunn has been one of my greatest and favorite mentors in my fire service career through his articles, books, videos, and lectures. I've had the privilege of meeting him and even sharing dinner with him when he came to St Louis to teach on fighting high rise fires. I could listen to him for hours. I can't wait to read his memoir! God bless you Chief!

First of all, I missed watching this podcast live. Bad on me because I really wanted to but I read Chief Dunn’s articles in Firehouse magazine and Fire engineering magazine in the 80’s and 90’s. He left an indelible impression on me because I sensed his passion for firefighting. Of course I had no idea why he was so passionate about building construction and building collapses until much ltr. I have had few mentors in my firefighting career and Chief Dunn is definitely one of them. Unfortunately, I have never met him in person but I hope to one day. Thank you sir and I enjoyed this episode immensely.
