The Rockville Punisher series of subwoofers were built from the ground up to survive brutal amounts of abuse and heat.
This subwoofer is huge and beefy and is in the heavy-weight division weighing in at 45.20 lbs.
The magnet is a 246 Oz (15.38 lbs). This sub has our best cooling technology which means even if you are entering competitions and playing 1 minute test tones it will handle it all day! We added a thick aluminum ring near the t-yoke that absorbs and dissipates a ton of heat. We also used a much thicker T-Yoke and washers which also absorb heat. The voice coil we use is 3” and is rated to handle heat up to 250 Degrees Celsius.

I have been severely beating my k6s for a year an a half still going strong but I might try these out
I've got 2 10k6d2v2's that I've had for a few months, I've not been able to put good power to them with out smelling them
It Looks like a new k9 v3 or even an upgraded replacement. The punisher is almost Identical looking to the k9. It's not like comparing two different companies using the same basket. Rockville audio makes both k9 and punisher. The punisher is most likely what the k9 should've been, to begin with. Thanks for making audio related videos!
They still have the k9 series , the punisher is definitely a step up , fills the gap between the k9 and destroyer

yea , he made a follow up video trying to explain to people that his dustcap video was not about destroyer power handling , sadly people dont watch it as much as they do the other video and they still seem to think its about the destroyer instead of the purpose of the video , which is Dustcap cooling effect . he even says in the video he is purposely playing a tone to make it hot faster .

I’m interested to see if the stronger motor pairs well with the moving mass. On paper it seems pretty heavy. But it could all end up working very well together. I’m Tuned in man! Excited to see a sub like this come out!
It works out , especially after a good proper break in time . I can pound the hell out of it now with the 5k and it dont get stinky or smokey anymore . Even new I had to push it far beyond any normal play to get it smokey n stinky. People say break in dont matter but it 💯 % does ! Non prebaked coil need to get hot and cool multiple times to set the coil glue . Also with stiff suspension it dont move as easy or as much so it can't cool as well as it can when broke in .

Only thing that matters is it the same voice coils and glue as the k9 series?
And what RMS clamped it says it can handle vs what it can actually handle RMS on clamped power.
I never bought the k9's but I'm not against Rockville . I was not happy with the way they handled the situation. I'll keep my eyes on these to see what they do.
ya, they didn't handle the whole k9 situation the best. It's usually safer to wait and see with Rockville subs.
@@bassmaster7277 ive had good luck with their components and install gear, I even like their amps. Its just the way they handled it that I think gave them a bad image.

Im pretty impressed with them got a dbcomp5 (serial #71) and a pair of the punisher 15d1s ran 1 of them in a dd box at .5ohm on the dbcomp5 and it took it no problem only smelt the coil 1 time now that i have the box built 18.5ft3 4 15s tuned to 30hzt i will be getting 2 more punishers and 1 more comp5 b4 i get a soundstream 18000.1
Speakers sound great I had been on a audiopipe BdC4 kick here for awhile. I have 2 10 inch of these on a tarramps 5000 ( I know I already blew one of the 10 inch audiopipe speakers I got at first I did by three of those for the truck but did not like the 10-inch version I just got these a few days ago and honestly I only have 2 but I've already ordered 2 more restored my faith in 10s. I'm not a Rockville fanboy but these kick ass only thing is is the speakers are bigger than the speaker wholesale be ready to cut out some more the motor is amazing on the 10 in
Not a bad looking sub, but for being a brand new sub , the fact that at if you pause the video at 3.36, it looks like one of the screws holding the basket to the motor wasnt even tightened down at the build house. That would tell me that that companies quality control is doo doo.
Never mind. It was a trick of the camera. Could see the screwhead clear as day, but not that it has a lock washer or something under it. I'll be watching for a test video.

You seem very dedicated to this brand but I'm going to have to see you test it before I can say anything about it. I know those new Rockville amps are good. Everyone watch the amp dyno "Facekicker" can't believe $350 for the 3500 db comp 5 dynos at 4000 continues rms watts!! Now I think you need to buy one of those amps and test some Rockville subwoofers on that amp. About the publisher hope its better than the k9 cause that sub was a rip off.
i love budget brands , yes the k9 10 , 12 and 15 were a fail but the other subs were not fails . i feel people went way overkiller on the brand hate over 1 line of subs . and not the whole line , cuz the 6.5'' and 8'' k9 are great .

My pick would be the destroyer. Just From looking at the spider sizes and coil length it looks like destroyer has a bigger spider and longer coil.

I have 2 10s and I freaking love em. I had to audiopipe BdC4 and they sounded amazing butmy 5000 watt amp toasted one and I put two of these in there it's the first time I've decided that I can stick with 10d

How many oz magnet size is the punisher
250oz magnet, Y35 double stacked magnets ... 1 way 29mm Xmax, 2 way 58mm Xmax. Hmm 🤔🤔 same price as the BAMF-152 (V2) not bad. Have to buy this and see wht the MD3k does to it!
Its just a k9 version 3 that the beefed up a little. They just changed the name to get away from the k9's shit reputation.
Why cuz it has the same basket ? Nothing else is the same .... they also still sell and make the k9 lol .

@@mazda2284 I don't think they are fine they ruined it for me when they tried making other companies look bad but it was their own fault for cranking up the gain like that. Also that 5000w it claims is bullshit it's most likely only a 1000w. They just need to go out of business because everything they own is false.
@@BenaresDarkness rockville isnt the only brand doing it but they get the most hate because they are actually a threat to other brands . there are brands rating way way worse and they make more money in a year than you or i will make in a lifetime. there is no reason a good brand like rockville should be gone , and if they were gone guess what ....someone else will do the same thing ~! i think if you are stuck on the brands that have their nose in the air you should stay in ur lane and go watch them videos instead because you are doing nothing positive with your hate here.your comment is basically like '' you fucked up on one thing so now you should be dead" who the fuck thinks like that ?
@@mazda2284 Yeah other brands are like that but at least those can take rms power way longer than Rockville, say a pyle power 12 1600 watt max 800 rms and it will take that 800 longer than Rockville.
Rockvilles mistake was trying to make companies that are much larger and way more know and reliable look bad that's why I don't like rockville.

I just got two of these I got to agree you were not pressing them very strong.Sometimes when you can't admit mistakes people take it as further and think that you lie about more I'm pressing on my right now they are notsuper super stiff I think they are perfect they do have a little bit of flex but the speaker sound amazing
