If were being entirely honest, it makes literally 0 sense why Puerto ricans are considered US citizens. Its not a US state its just a controlled territory, they even have their own constitution and they cant vote on the US president. It makes literally no sense.
To be fair even majority of Vtuber fans also don't know about her until this drama. She was pretty much "Small fame, big ego" that's pretty common around in twitterspace.
like if the economy is so bad in vietnam then how does she think it'd be easy to make money, especially with international shipping and potentially ordering supplies from outside vietnam
Well, i hate to say it, but she kind of have a point. Currency in poor countries typically underpriced compared to dollar (i.e. you can buy for 1$ more in Vietnam than in USA). Kind of one of the reasons these countries are poor. So, people in, for example, Vietnam, could sell stuff to people in USA for prices, affordable by USA standards but absolutely impossible for Vietnam people. I.e. essentially getting salary of USA worker, while living with Vietnam prices. This is why there's so much people from SE Asia/Latin America, who live on commissions from West countries, it's profitable.
@@КрасныйОрёл-л9хYou only forgot about the part where an artist takes a long time to create something, they're not a factory mass producing things. It may be enough to allow these artists to live off of their passion, but it's not enough to make them "rich" unless they reach "big influencer status". So, no, I don't think the vtuber actually has a point. It's still hard and honest work for something completely custom made, something that's a commodity and not a necessity and in Kusa's case I assure you that shipping is expensive as hell. Besides, inflation is a thing that happens in every country and almost every poor country is directly affected by US related bs. So the more expensive the US dollar is in comparison to those currencies, the more expensive it becomes to buy things, even groceries.
@@coldspicyThey can drastically speed the process up if they properly set up layers, prefabs and such. To the point it can allow one to make 2-3 pieces per day. Depending on the commission fee, this can be fairly lucrative. And artists who only use one style, it's much faster as they can even prefab eye shapes, hair shapes and so on making the process much faster. And the less shading needed, the quicker a product can be made. I know many people I could commission a piece from and recieve it within 24h. Because they extensively use prefabs to minimize the load but still take time to manually color blend etc. Most anime styles don't even need that much effort as they heavily use flat colors, with lines doing the bulk of the detailing. Also one doesn't ship digital art 90% of the time. Few people commission non digital these days because digital is convenient and can then be used to put on canvas later for display.
Quoted from Kusa's comment on a Vietnamese video about this, Kusa intended to use the profit he got from the plushy to fund gumpai on Throne as he has also followed her for a while, but now due the this beef, he has decided not to. Also, poor guy who bought the plushy just to find out how dumb his oshi is, now I wonder what he's gonna do with the plushy.
what actually made me laugh was that she was crying over the fact that she didnt get a sample.... like girl if u wanted the plushie order it yourself 😭😭😭😭😭
"That didn't happen. And if it did, it wasn't that bad. And if it was, that's not a big deal. And if it is, that's not my fault. And if it was, I didn't mean it. And if I did, you deserved it." - The Narcissist's Prayer by Dayna Craig
Honestly, I legitimately believe fame to be more of a terrible thing to have than it could ever be a blessing. So many strangers constantly watching you all at once? Spam that would make most sane souls lose their mind? Being the target of someone else's bad mood? To me, it always sounded like madness. I appreciate the internet, but I never was the kind of person to NOT try to "punch back" at a bully, if given the chance... At the same time, I'm glad I never had a bully in my childhood.
@@trumediamix1 let's be real, fame doesn't change a person it only makes you more yourself. Plus it can't be argued she even had "fame" to begin with, so real this entitlement is something she's always had, fame had nothing to do with it.
What I hate the most is that there is a person that commissioned that original plushie that now may regret it after how she acted from all of this. Basically wasted there money.
It totally possible dude. I mean i was liking Enna as a fan until Selen thing and black screen happen. I feel terrible 120/10. Might not regret commisioned kusa but regret why commisioning gumpai plushies
Its weird ive seen some of Gumpais content and she always seemed really sweet, what happened? EDIT: okay so initially i don't think what she did was that bad, getting angry someone made a product in your likeness isnt that bad, but since then it just goes downwards. I still dont think she deserves to have her entire career destroyed, but maybe she needs a reality check.
All she could have done was dm the artist and just go, “hey I don’t like people profiting off my character, could you not do it again?” Or even make a collab with them, both making profit and giving her fans a cool plush to own. Good god it’s really not that fucking insane.
LITERALLY, like just argue copyright and she'd probably even have people supporting her. This random racism and hatred is just so weird and unecessary.
@@Poifectionable the fucking diddnt because they publicly shat on them the moment they found out, was publicly racist, and has been making an ass of themselves the whole time, both sides are represented, perfectly. gumpai is a pos.

I do not condone this guaranteed alcohol poisoning challenge- but even if I were to change that to water, people would still harm themselves through water intoxication.

@@Poifectionable Stop being parasocial, Gumpai is a goddamn adult and they could’ve had a civilized conversation about this instead of sending a hate mob to someone who was just a fan.
Ngl I was on her side at first. until she started with the vietnam ignorance, making fun of him… If she is not comfy with someone commissioning artists of her character, I truly think that was/is her choice. But her attitude was so nasty. especially when vtubers in general are in awe of fan-art / art commissioned by fans. Glad I watched this video. Unfollowing her. Yikes .
How can you be on her side in the first place anyways? I fucking hate vtubers and i know that its well known in the community that people are free to make merch of other vtubers. Shes just a dogshit person.
I mean to be fair if someone came into my server after using my likeness for profits without my consent or knowledge only to tell people to buy the thing using my likeness I would be rather upset, especially when instead of sending her them after she got upset so she can also make profits from her character she got turned against and pushed out of the community? Seems kinda wild to me I’m glad I’m not in this community 😂
@@whywouldeye I think it was moreso her really bad attitude and very ignorant claims about Vietnam . That’s what pushed *me* away. I was on her side until then ^^
All the content i saw of her she seamed really nice, what happened? Its strange to me. EDIT: Initial stuff was not that bad, subsequent stuff was not so good. She needs a reality check.
Couldn't be further from the truth tbh, she's worked very hard and is really thankful towards her community. I've actually never seen a creator that cares this much. She's reached out to previous buyers of the plushie and asked to refund them as she viewed the product as poorly representative of herself.
@@ploppledoodledoo17 literally having a conversation in the discord about wanting to refund the people who paid for shitty quality fan merch as you typed that out lol
That echo chamber is exactly why she's comfortable acting the way she is. The fans are enablers. If she stops getting free shit and money from the fans, then she'll start thinking twice about her behaviour. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to happen soon
@@yaqinmalul6467 for most communities that wouldn't be true. But in GUMPAI'S, it's 100% true. If you've seen her community, and you rated parasociality from 1-10, hers would be like a 15
True fan or not, as long as the money (and the free stuff) keeps coming in, she wouldn't notice a thing. Twitter and RUclips can screech all they want and she still eating good. She'd learn nothing
Man as an artist who's No.1 nightmare is someone taking my designs and selling them I was about to be on her side because she was framing it like this person was making BANK off her character, but holy shit it was just a one off fan commission? Like unless she has said before to never commission anything of her character because they're super personal to her I could maybe understand the reaction. But it seems she's sold merch of them herself so like? Idk man, when you become a big creator, people making/commissioning custom one offs of your stuff kind of just comes with the territory, "small" creators live and die by how engaged their fandoms are as well.
I mean that's especially bad, if there is only one source offering her stuff and it isn't her, she is entirely in her rights to defend that right. Gura can afford not to care about knockoffs, she can't.
I could literally cry to how nice kusa was even when gumpai was being such a brat and unthankful towards him when he put HIS time and effort into making those plushies and not wanting them to go to waste
yeah imagine shitting on the nicest lad... then when u get big vtubers against you. and double down with: fuck taiwan... -.- absolute regard. and then her cucks buy her stuff? even more regarded lol.
@glasperle77 If you actually watched the vid you would see that fans selling handmade vtuber merch is normal and encouraged by the vtuber themselves even if the vtuber doesn't profit from it. You also would see how entitled and racist gumpai is, even when kusa made a clear apology.
If a music band wanted to make T-shirt merchandise, but theres people already selling merchandise about your band. it would be hard for the band to make an official merchandise store because there would be a ton of fakes everywhere. The guy only sold 3 plushies but he would still need to ask for permission. I can totally see where she is coming from as a business perspective. its called the right of publicitiy and it applies to individuals and not just companies.
@@Chainereight Gumpai already has merchandise, Since she's complaining that the plushies kusa made are not up to her standards then she should make her own. Then, people wouldn't need to commission someone to make a plushie of her. Gumpai also could've said she doesn't want fanmade merch of her to be sold, but instead tried getting people to hate kusa because the plushie he made "looks bad".
Mujin’s content went from laughing at genshin interactive maps to now laughing at people destroying their career’s single-handedly and making a video about it 🔥
Asking people to buy you chips followed by asking people to buy you a vacuum cleaner tells its own short story. She'll eventually reach level of laziness where she won't even buy lightbulbs when one goes out instead opting to wait in the darkness until her fans send her one on Throne.
As a South East Asian, I think I can understand why she wants chips. Notice that those chips have unique taste. Because that kind of brand or taste not available in Vietnam. I mean, I miss Vanilla Coke. They used to stock Vanilla Coke in the mid 00s in my country. Then they think that no one like it so they stop having it. My country only have two variants: Coca Cola Classic and Zero Sugar. RC Cola also stopped selling their soda here.
Yeah, ketchup chips are specifically a Canadian thing (though they're pretty prevalent here), if she lives in the US or basically anywhere other than Canada I could see sourcing them through Throne being reasonable
@@Hagfish-WS Admittedly no, watched a lot of others but not this one. However, I'm responding to this comment specifically, which has nothing to do with Gumpai's attitude or anything else. I think the title and thumbnail explains which stance Mujin is in, no need to delve further. Though I just hovered and watched a bit from 2:40 and I see that Mujin is joining in on the bandwagon of treating consent like nothing. He even showed Hololive's guideliens at 2:51, meaning that Hololive allows it, but for that guideline to even exist implies that it would otherwise require explicit permission.
@@knifekisser Alright, I'm less defending Gumpai (who while rude, likely has the legal high ground even after the meltdown) but more about this irrational standard in the Vtubing community. How people can just use your content without consent and you're just expected to be grateful. People were already dunking on her before the meltdown, siding with Kusa over his works over the actual dispute. Even in this video, at 3:02, Mujin seems to be implying that because some parties allow 3rd party merch, all parties should.
I can’t imagine having a crashout over a fan making a plushie. Like if I were an independent vtuber, and a fan made anything of me, I’d be so hype and grateful. Hell I’d even pin that post in my discord like “hey guys get em while they’re hot!”
Man, using the word "rape" to describe unsolicited, unlicensed merchandise being made of your VTuber persona is some top-tier trashiness. I hope gumpai eventually gains some perspective from all of this.

Feel bad for whoever commissioned the plushie. They just wanted a nice piece of merch about a person they used to think was nice, and then she goes mask-off and turns out to be an asshole. The plush can go right into the trash now.
Okay, I'll be the hot take. If Gumpai had backed up after finding out it was a SINGLE custom order, they could've saved this because she is right, someone else selling her brand for profit is absolutely not okay. BUT it sounds like he received a custom order for 1 total plushie hand made. Assuming this commissioner doesn't take bulk orders on things like this, or make a lot of them in general, it's pretty much fine. Seems like they realized they misinterpreted what was happening, but felt that if they backed down they would be shamed, so the doubled down instead. Wild.
Yeah I was thinking that just cause other people are okay with off-brand merch doesn't mean she has to be. She is being weird about it though. I also suspect a portion of her reaction is rage bait and trolling too.
She could have just asked him to not sell plushies of her model instead of trying of trying to send her community after the guy. He was in her discord she had the ability to talk to him but instead she chose to publicly try to ruin his business.
That ain’t a hot take at all, she got stolen from no matter how many they produced it was still without gumpais consent. It being a single commission doesn’t change anything because if said commission was a larger order the plushie creator likely would’ve taken it and either way, the creator went into her discord to sell more instead of directly contacting gumpai (who for all we know could have immense financial struggles) and making some sort of deal. This community is clearly not above the age of 18 or they would understand why what the person did to gumpai would illicit such a reaction.
@@whywouldeye A person over the age of 18 would have went to contact the seller to ask them to stop selling plushie of them before going to twitter to complain.

For some extra context to who gumpai is. She's a dramatuber who is an absolute tourist in vtubing. She offers a legitimate schizophrenic GFE because she is Schizo and delivers. Her discord will ban you if you are found out to be anything other than a man or straight. She goes to sleep while on Discord VC, so fans think they are sleeping with her. What I find even more funny is that now her twitter page is full of throne posts, and then she talks about how you have to be a LONER in the Vtuber industry, when in any kind of streaming platform you need to be in touch with other content creators so that your audience doesn´t leave (At least i think like that, correct me if im wrong).
Of course she would say that after burning any chance she has at making it big in the industry. Because you can go solo but it is going to be difficult and that's without having a bad reputation (She will be remembered as being a racist grifter most likely now).
In general, collabs pull the biggest audiences. It also is an easy way to promote growth, mixing audiences of two streamers who don't know about the other person. Not to mention people are more entertaining bouncing off another person, see every D&D podcast ever, or even just in VTubing FWMC
Tbf, I've never heard of the whole encouraging fans to make merch thing. It sounds awesome from your video explanation, but I can easily see someone not understanding that's a thing and thinking it's a scam. Then again, I feel like a Vtuber should know about this stuff beforehand.
14:14 "This guy does not give a shit about me". Kusa in a comment section in a video about this same drama said he was going to use the money he makes from these plushies to buy something for her on Throne. The AUDACITY!!
Thing is the first incident to an outsider like myself makes sense someone is coming on to your stream to sell plushies they made of your character, you aren't affiliated with them and they're trying to use your fans to make money. That being said the idea that the agencies and vtubers themselves barring massive production actually encourages fans to promote their own custom merch without wanting a cut of the profits is kind of amazing and almost unbelievable.

I'm pretty sure lets play content would technically fall under copyright infringement as well but most video game companies see the value in letting them exist. Also to take something like this to court you would have to prove damages which she couldn't do. The point is that although she's technically in the legal right the value artists provide to the growth and sustainability any online community is so large that it doesn't make sense to get upset over the art they create.
@Modedell Fanart is one thing; making something of the character and selling it is another. And let's plays are actually vastly different as it involves changing the content and adding into it. In art groups theft is a huge issue, and this is just another part of that issue

To be fair only characters under corporations like HoloLive are allowed to be made fan creations of. Any personal characters are under Copyright of that person, Kusa profiting off of others characters without permission is scummy. Gumbai 100% has a case to sue, I don't understand how you can't see that, look up the rules around copyright, you're not allowed to profit on any copyrighted content without permission, which is clearly not given by Gumbai in this situation and neither by a big corporation as she's not in one.
Dude, I caught the start of this on Twitter then kept seeing her pop up over and over. My though was 'oh this seems to be boiling over, I wonder how long till Mujin makes a video.' And boys... here we are.
That thing with the sticker costing 28€ reminds of when Dokibird started her shop, saw how fucking insane the shipping was for stickers, and said "Nope. Shut it down! Fix it!" That is how you give to your fans.
She does have a point in that someone is using her design to make money/sell a product without talking to her first. But it is basically a fanart commission and very small scale, and it's not competing with any similar products she sells herself. All the other statements about Vietnam or the looks of the plushies are completely uncalled for of course.
As a custom nendoroid artist that have made commissions for fans of different vtubers (indies and corpos) I never got any bad experiences with the vtubers themselves. She seems like a grifter given all the free stuff she's asking for and saw this as someone "Muscling in on her terf" despite the plushie maker seemingly giving them away? O_O
That is the smart business perspective. Such reaction is probably caused by the fact that her intellectual property was being used without asking her permission.
@@RedOneMit wouldn't spiral this hard had she focused on the intellectual property part, but the comments made after were... unprofessional, to say the least. How do people even come up with such sentences and then post it on the internet? She should also make rules against selling fan-made merch without her permission, because like it or not this is just how it usually is in the vtuber community.
I’ve just kinda felt neutral on this whole situation. I understand that maybe some people don’t want others profiting from their character but at the same time it was such a small amount and such an overreaction. Literally just dm em and ask em to not sell the plushies and it’s sorted.

To play the devil's avocado, I can see where gumpai is coming from in the first instance; not initially being aware of the culture around fan-made merch, I was a bit surprised that 3rd parties are allowed to and even encouraged to make and sell items based off an individual or company's IP (but it's pretty cool that everyone is so accepting of it!). From the perspective of a small indie vtuber that's just starting out, trying to build your brand and identity, it's not unreasonable to be concerned when you see someone else profiting from your IP without contacting you, especially if you didn't know that this kind of thing was the norm for fans and creators in the vtuber community. The initial complaint of people selling items based on her model is valid. They should at least ask the creator that the merch is based off of first. The following crash out, not so much, though.
my favorite part of a mujin video (besides everything) is how he describes things. there is nobody else that refers to someone saying “her ridiculous astronomical level of entitlement” is something only mujin accomplishes 🙏🙏
I have no real affiliation with the VTuber space so this is basically just from what I saw in the video. She obviously didn't handle the plushie thing very well as I'm going to assume she didn't just contact him and say, "Hey please don't do this," but I obvoiously don't know that since this is a video and that's not addressed. So, I won't defend that in any way. However...... If she wasn't the one to commission them in the first place, I don't see why people gave her such a hard time with her initial reaction. Someone else made, and sold, something in her character's likeness without her permission. If someone had done this to me when I was streaming, I'd be massively upset too. I guess, like Mujin said, this is a Vtuber thing that I just won't agree with. Fanart is one thing, but making money off something you didn't get permission to make is a very common no-no in every other space. Just something I'll agree to disagree on.
Ain't no way this actually happened, how delusional can a person be man, this lack of self-awareness has to be some sort of rare disease or something LOL

like if the economy is so bad in vietnam then how does she think it'd be easy to make money, especially with international shipping and potentially ordering supplies from outside vietnam

Edit: also about the UwU Market part she wasnt listed YET, but sources BTS confirmed that she's permanently blacklisted from working with the company, so she'll never even get the official plushie collaberation for a long time 🤷♀️
Damn sounds like we need a mujin deep dive video on her
So in short, she's already insane to begin with...
This comment needs more attention. I knew she was unhinged, but this is WILD.
i mean she streams on kick it all checks out
@Berry1704 i dont count that against her cause she was a Twitch streamer prior and Twitch just pretends to not be toxic
Honestly, i personaly can get why she would be upset that her character was used since she's a small creator but the way she handled it...
There was a small Theory going around on Twitter that the main reason she attacked this plushie maker is because they make a ton of stuff for the Phase girls and she absolutely hates every single one of them for taking one of her tweets and making it into a harmless copypasta, this timestamp all but confirms that 13:45
What I find even more funny is that now her twitter page is full of throne posts, and then she talks about how you have to be a LONER in the Vtuber industry, when in any kind of streaming platform you need to be in touch with other content creators so that your audience doesn´t leave (At least i think like that, correct me if im wrong).
Of course she would say that after burning any chance she has at making it big in the industry. Because you can go solo but it is going to be difficult and that's without having a bad reputation (She will be remembered as being a racist grifter most likely now).
she aint even doubling down, she's tripling down - at this point, she can only stay on that boat lol
Kusa is too kind, fr
0:17 i thought you were gonna pull a switcheroo and say that people would disagree that ketchup with bananas is the worst invention by humans.
*Filipinos with banana ketchup* actually quite good hahahah
Yeah, tastes really great. Goes pretty nicely with fried crispy foods imo
Someone should gift Mujin with banana ketchup
Thing is the first incident to an outsider like myself makes sense someone is coming on to your stream to sell plushies they made of your character, you aren't affiliated with them and they're trying to use your fans to make money. I would be offended too. That being said the idea that the agencies and vtubers themselves barring massive production actually encourages fans to promote their own custom merch without wanting a cut of the profits is kind of amazing and almost unbelievable.
5:22 that just guts me so hard, cause HE IS HAND-SEWING THEM. *HAND-SEWN* . That shit takes forever, he’s just making fan pieces!
Right? Hand-sewing toys and plushies is an art all of its own!
@@GoodOleDFTEXACTLY! And it’s like… it’s so disappointing that he was put on blast for wanting to share some of his hard work TO THE COMMUNITY WHO WOULD HAVE MOST LIKELY WANTED IT because the subject of the piece felt entitled to getting one for free, and threw a hissy fit. I sew by hand, and it takes me a while to sew on a patch, I can’t imagine how long it would take hand-stitch a whole toy!
theres worse rabbit holes with her, like how she is "dating" her community and actively encourages them to be parasocial
What
sounds like some stupid shit she would do
So is it true tht she also do a sleeping stream(?) where she sets her mic on to assure her simps that she's not sleeping with someone? I saw someone said that.
@ that I’m not sure about, honestly tho wouldn’t be surprised
I wish it was the first instance of this kind of buffoonery but the fact that it is not is enough to be concerning.
Woah 13secs in & my eyes are violated by a clearly cursed meal😂. Subscribed! Ok,OK, me watch the video
When I saw that she only streams on KICK, my main reaction to everything shown prior was: "...yup, that checks out."
funding things through throne that actually help you create better content, a new mic? new model/outfit? a better tracking system/webcam?
i can understand supporting that
BUT CHIPS? like how greedy can people get 😂
great video, keep it up man
BRO WAS ORDERING 275 GALLONS OF SEX LUBE
Sounds like Gumpai just wanted a sugar daddy... or sugar mommy.
And a vacuum cleaner to suck up the bits that fall onto the floor xD
Ykw chips can be like, satire, but WTH A VACUUM CLEANER
Don't fund your oshi chips, you know you're just funding them to be fat IRL. Fund them kale salad or something.
I was legitimately ready to back up her decision to not wanting anyone to promote stuff on her discord, that's fair imho.
Nobody has to adhere to what the vtubing community at large does if you specifically don't like it.
But she had to keep going...
Imagine your someone who ordered her plushie because you really like her then suddenly she acts like this.
She was still getting hundreds of likes for her gaslighting and insults directed at Kusa. There will always be simps no matter how terrible a person is.
*Twitter was always bad, and it got worse after the GREAT TUMBLR MIGRATION.*
*I was a kid and I still remember when that happened.*
no one will believe us that twitter was at least funny back then...
yeah hopefully all the tumblrinas fuck off to bluesky now
@@exmagnae2350 My parents banned me from it, because they didn’t want me looking at the political posts. Americans can be very unhinged with their politics. My mom saw one random angry tweet on the feed and said no more. I’m glad she did. Just in time, cause that’s when Tumblr was moving right in.
To this day the porn ban still haunts Tumblr. Except now it's twitter and soon Bluesky from the looks of it
Nothing wrong with twitter. Only problem is the stupid people.
I looked at her account after watching this and she has just tweeted the n-word, alongside making jokes about anorexia and her "skinny boyfriend" viewers wtf is this person
As someone who used to watch Gumpai infrequently, I'm actually really disappointed in her because she seemed like a chill person when I first saw her stream.
Same, caught a handful of her chill streams, got to catch the more orthadox debut and had alot of fun both in the stream chat and later when I joined the discord...
But then she strayed slowly away from chill content and focused more on parasocial and exhibitionist side content until she set her discord to “donators only” mode around the time of the drama.
Oh well, theres more chill and actually genuine vtubers for lads to enjoy then.
@@GymBossAniki I think it's pretty clear that the parasocial and exhibitionist is her natural self.
@@GymBossAniki Probably saw how hard she could milk it (I mean look at the free stuff she was squeezing out of people).
@@GymBossAniki "donators only"? for fucking real? o_O
Would recommend SmugAlana then if you haven’t discovered her. Tripped over her channel when it was just starting last year at 2-3k subscribers and now she’s skyrocketed up to 200k in around a year. She’s a fun time
istg so many vtuber dramas boil down to people refusing to act civilized and instead just throwing temper tantrums like literal children. like how doessomebody lack such amounts of shame and self-awareness
bad parenting thats it
A number of these vtubers never had a proper life-check before. I highly doubt they even did part time jobs before because I'm sure reality would teach them lessons by then
@@YukiRhestia agains all these boil doing whit bad parents. bcs usally a good parent would give you advice or certain guidence to how to act in certain scenarios, but if your parents never talk to you and just gave you everythin whit out explaning things well you can se the end results. but is good that this type of people are starting to get wreckted for being shitty
I honestly fail to see how not wanting some stranger on the internet to make merch based on your character and then profiting of it and not even bothering to reach out to you specifically to ask you if you're cool with it is a bad thing. To me it doesn't really matter if the plushies were made by just person or a massive company or if they were all hand crafted or not. If i wasn't even asked for my consent on something like this is also would not be happy. The doubling down was just a massive L. Ngl.
0:06 as a Filipino, I find this part hilarious because we literally have a ketchup where the main ingredient is banana instead of traditional tomato lmao
"Instead" of tomato? How is that even a ketchup? Ain't that just banana sauce?
I mean, I'm not knocking it, just confused...
@@NGMK So a few months ago I saw a video on RUclips about how to make white ketchup that existed before red ketchup and my brother decided to look it up. Turns out ketchup existed for around one hundred years before tomato's even got added to it. Ketchup was basically a blanket term for sauce before tomato's made it what it is today.
Jollibee banana ketchup #1
@@Krocxigor
Aight' I guess I'll go check history of ketchup
@@NGMKfrom what I read on the internet, it was invented by a food technician during ww2 to minimize the need for imports. Among other things, the inventor saved a lot of people in the war with her inventions. And yeah it seems it's marketed as a sauce outside the Philippines (i guess it's also used as sauce for a sweet style spaghetti?) but is also widely treated as ketchup in usage. If you want sweetness in your meals, banana ketchup is a viable add-on.
Mujin rating the community notes experience in the middle of the video got me 😭🙏
Let’s be real, what kusa did was illegal and the vtuber had every right to be annoyed or upset
Now what they did was immature, but they had every right to be annoyed or upset because what kusa did IS illegal
It depends if she went to a court and claimed the design as her own cause if not he has every right
its illegal the same way selling fan art is technically illegal, its such a nothing burger you deserve the criticism for merely be annoyed by it
@rosestorms5396 Actually copyright is made at the time the character or art is done! So it's get IP
She could have just contacted the person making the plushies to find out more. Guess that requires being a reasonable person first though.
Also those plushies look pretty good
I'd be more than flattered and happy if someone likes my character's design so much that someone commissions a plushie of it, especially as someone who's starting as a PNGtuber 🤷♂️
Good for you, it's called consent.
@@BlueBrawler0what are you talking about consent lmao, its just a fucking plushie
@@BlueBrawler0 Exactly.
people like bao legit said: hey this is neat... wanna make more for my community? and they both profit.
in comes this twat and accuses bao pipin etc for RAPE.... absolutely idiot.
Again she is a public figure she has no right to it if they make a plushie and isnt selling it its not illegal. I can take a photo of someone out in public and make a bodypillow to give away its not illegal so your "consent" doesnt matter go cry in your own corner and simp for her harder @BlueBrawler0

Fix it!"
That is how you give to your fans.
All the times they love the figure and were happy for the fan that got a unique figurine. Sincerely I cannot undertand Gumpal's reaction. Also as a vtuber myself I would love to see people make merch of my vtuber model, not insult them :(
She seems like a grifter given all the free stuff she's asking for and saw this as someone "Muscling in on her terf" despite the plushie maker seemingly giving them away? O_O
That is the smart business perspective. Such reaction is probably caused by the fact that her intellectual property was being used without asking her permission.
@@RedOneMit wouldn't spiral this hard had she focused on the intellectual property part, but the comments made after were... unprofessional, to say the least.
If she wants to talk business, then talk professionally, reach out to the person who violated her rights, privately, and if they don't repond THEN call them out, instead of saying that the vtuber community "r*ped" her. How do people even come up with such sentences and then post it on the internet?
She should also make rules against selling fan-made merch without her permission, because like it or not this is just how it usually is in the vtuber community.
this video plagued my recommended all day, and i finally watched it and i can say it was definitely worth the watch. like and subbed.
wait already was subbed.
I’ve just kinda felt neutral on this whole situation. I understand that maybe some people don’t want others profiting from their character but at the same time it was such a small amount and such an overreaction. Literally just dm em and ask em to not sell the plushies and it’s sorted.
I always wondered why this Gumpai person seems so unhinged, only to find out she's a Kik streamer. It makes so much sense now.
She’s literally a lewd baiter that shadow bans anyone that might disrupt her. For example all women found in her discord are instantly removed
Also if you're a guy and mention your girlfriend.
I also haven’t seen anyone talk about her alt account on Twitter, where she posts bikini pics and some deranged tweets….
A lewd baiter.... With a loli avatar... Her and her discord need to be on a list and in a jail
I will say I can understand not liking someone taking you or your character's likeness and then making a profit off of it within your own discord without permission. Regardless of how other Vtubers handle it, someone is bound to have a different opinion on the matter.
HOWEVER, how she handled this situation was so overdramatic and unnecessary. God forbid you listen to what your peers are telling you and try to settle the situation amicably, especially considering it really wasn't that big of a deal. Also the whole "but I want it for free!!" (paraphrasing) just came off as really pathetic

The way she reacted to the situation, however, is balls-to-the-wall crazy and completely inexcusable.

Great video Mugin😎
The initial complaint of people selling items based on her model is valid. They should at least ask the creator that the merch is based off of first. The following crash out, not so much, though.
my favorite part of a mujin video (besides everything) is how he describes things. there is nobody else that refers to someone saying “her ridiculous astronomical level of entitlement” is something only mujin accomplishes 🙏🙏
real
Fun fact: Banana ketchup is a thing in the Philippines. Look it up.
Philipines and their apetite for sweet food are unmatched😂 but i guess im fit with their foods more than mine country
Note to future vtubers:
If you wanna make it in this community, learn the culture, and have common sense ❤
Vtubers dont have common sense. That's the point
imo, 99.9% of that was common sense.
