“you can tell by his voice that he’s privileged” you can tell by the fact she has enough money to afford a streaming set up, a v tuber model and the time to stream and the fact she seems to have no understanding that her actions have consequences that she’s very privileged
The most privilege is not a race or gender. It is those who are wealthy and lack a understanding of hard work and the understanding of money. Some people look at others doing ok or well and make assumptions to feel better. I only say it this way because there are wealthy people who earned money through actual hard work and luck, then there are others who borrowed it, inherited it or earned it easily. You can usually tell by their attitude but not always.
@@staticbuilds7613 Preach. That whole privilege bs is insanity and it's only purpose is divide people while the actually privileged ones profit and laugh in the background.
@@staticbuilds7613 The only two privileges in life in my opinion is wealth and health, if you have both anywhere in the world you are free to do what you please. You can break law, you never run out of food and you can order people around. Those streamers who have insane setups, can start a twitch career for a long time before being profitable ARE privileged in lots of ways. Most people white black asians no matter where, can't do this, even in their native countries. But like you said, there are also people who are rich by working their asses off every day for years and don't have free time, they just work all day every day.
uhm but it IS the truth? for example nowdays youths language is way more "rude" than it was before. you can use it with each other and it's fine. but use it on elderly and they say you are insulting rude and they won't talk to you. same here. nowadays you are not allowed to say anything or get mad or socials will cancel you and the funniest thing is all the people who interfere and think THEY re nice and can judge are often way worse.
tbh, if u think about the french expression for that, it doesnt have any reacist bias but if u want to use it in english, it does, its one of those situation where if u dont know perfectly english, u can end up saying things like that without actually knowing what it means in english to other english speakers

I like how the apologies nowadays starts with a "I've been sick for the past few days", "my dog passed away", "someone close to me unalived themselves" to garner sympathy points first like im sorry if its real but the internet made it sound like its a sarcastic opening sentence now

I still find it absolutely wild that they’re calling him privileged meanwhile their literal job is to play games and talk to their chat, they need to get a grip lmfao

The “English isn’t my first language” excuse gets me everytime, cause you clearly have a strong grasp on the English language with what you had said and are now typing
As someone with english as their second language, I never understood that excuse. You are speaking it fluently and seem confident enough to make content solely in english, you dont get to have that excuse. Its not a lack of understanding of the language, but the ignorance of it.
@@_Worthless_ Same here. I'd like to think that you automatically lose access to that excuse when your second language is native-level fluent and there's no struggle to understand subtle cultural nuances.
I'm french, this was clearly discrimination. Even if the term "blondinet" alone isn't pejorative itself, the context and the way she said it was 100% discrimination based on appearance
As a French myself, I do a lot of mocking. This right there? That was unprovoked, unwarranted bullying. Well, not totally unwarranted, she was just being a sore loser. And then the gumption to hide behind her own ethnicity and language? No ma'am, just... Non 🤨
I’m not French but I’m French Canadian and I don’t even understand how that French expression even relates to what she said in English. She was definitely using the fact that a lot of people do not speak French as well as using her culture to try and get sympathy.
Even though I'm a right-populist guy, I enjoy seeing Community Notes contradict bad info and takes, and that includes those on my side. If it keeps people honest and well informed I'm all for it, but of course I enjoy seeing mainstream Reddit-approved media being blown up as well, but the fact it punches all directions to knock down bad info is something I truly appreciate.
Friendly reminder that these 2 did not admit they were in the wrong UNTIL the situation was brought to mainstream media. The first 5-6 days after the incident they were extremely defensive, lying about/downplaying what they did and doubling down on their position. Then SpookNJukes make his video on the situation getting the attention of lots of people. Then within 48 hours of that video going live they both issued their apology statements. They’re not sorry at all. Their statements were just damage control.
some chicks think that using a cute anime avatar and talking in a cutesy fake voice makes them completely invulnerable and lonely guys will defend them
but nearly no one defended them? It's pretty clear in the video if you're talking about AFTER apology (for example here, in this comments) I do agree with defenders, at least for the green one because her apology seems decent enough and at least she didn't say anything as bad as her friend (white man thing)
Her entire thing is built on narcissism: Narcissists' prayer: That didn't happen. And if it did, it wasn't that bad. And if it was, that's not a big deal. And if it is, that's not my fault. And if it was, I didn't mean it. And if I did, you deserved it.
One thing these apology videos have taught me is how to differentiate between a genuine person who wants to apologize, and a manipulator who is only 'apologizing' because they had no choice. thank you Mujin
Pewdiepie's apology, he's changed. And ngl, I believe he didn't really mean the n word at heart. No racist would even 'adopt' a female fictional character like Clementine in their edgy years.
"Two partnered streamers is too much for him" seriously these two are so entitled. They think so highly of themselves for being partners, so disgraceful.
I don't even get their point. Two people with privilege and power is enough to do a lot of damage and if clips hadn't gotten out about their actions they could have 100% started a harassment campaign against him and likely destroyed his life. They legit had power over him in that situation. It's also pretty hard to deal with things if you are getting piled on which is a factor in it all too
I was part of bub's community back when she had less than 10k follows back in 2021, I was banned from her discord because I would call her out on her behavior with some other members with each other in DMs and just completed ignored that she existed up to now and would you look at that, she's been exposed for who she really is
With this attitude of hers she'll just continue streaming as if nothing happens, not unless her viewers/chat would continuously call her out until she just leaves
i started watching her streams and she had these weird outbursts were she would mock me for trying to help her with something in a game. Really disrespectful behavior, basically went full bully in front of everyone in chat laughing and shaming me for trying to be nice so i just stopped watching her. Then she blames the reason her viewcount dropping on some Genshin creator and not her behavior.
@@SoulOfUnderworldUwU don't forget they also use the "i'm a cute & beautiful girl" & "it's just a joke bro" card to use as a scapegoat for their actions. Is it that hard to admit you're in the wrong and apologize? Not only it would have settled everything down but also you'll gain others respect. As admitting you were wrong takes courage and is a sign of maturity.
Honestly? This doesn't clear the top 50 of Bad behavior from content creators, IF they had just apologized and owned it to start with, They wouldn't be in so much hot water. Instead, She decided to Lie, TWICE, about something that was streamed from multiple perspectives, That so dumb, Literally caught on camera. Instead of just admitting "I fucked up, This wasn't right, I'm sorry" She proceeded to Lie, Deflect and only put out a boiler plate non-apologue once the backlash showed actual consequences.
Pride doesn't allow people to take accountability. Narcissism is also a reason. That's sad but unless you have the awareness to understand that you can make mistakes and grow from them, this will always happen
I dislike SunnyV2 for a lot of reasons, but one of the truest things he's ever stated is that apologising, no, even REACTING to drama is a decision that can kill a channel. Even if the allegations get bad enough, apologising is still an extremely dangerous move because there is almost no case where an apology permanently got creators out of troubles. Yes, most of their apologies are shit, but at the same time, there is few that are ever successful or that can be deemed "good" especially in the vtubing space (and twitter) riddled with toxicity and petty hatred. That said, lying about it, then DOUBLING DOWN, is one of the stupidest decisions you could do as a content creator.
I had ~8000 hours in dbd when I stopped playing. The "humping" as anyone who played killer even once should know is when you're trying to find the survivor on the floor or get the prompt to pick them up. All of this started because the killer was trying to pick up their victim that they knocked down. Man that dead by daylight community is full of weirdos
I know nothing about dead by daylight and from his POV it's pretty obvious he was just trying to pick them up. They got salty they were getting steamrolled lol
To me the crazy thing is them attacking this man because of how he looks but they hide behind their vtuber avatars. Like that’s coward shit right there
Its cause a lot of vtuber fans are loli sympathizers. Why do you think majority of the popular vtubers use children models? Its cause they're 20+year old women and cant emulate the look of a child IRL. Of course not all vtuber fans like Lolicon but its too big of an elephant to not acknowledge it.
Just a quick reminder: racist people will not see themselves as being racist. They will find means to justify their actions & words to make it seem okay to be racist. That, and bullies have that same mindset, too.
Racists always carry this nebulous perceived irony anytime they get called out they say “It’s just memeing bro what are you so mad about I’m saying it ironically.” And then try to turn it around on you and project. It’s insanely pathetic but works for them I guess 🤷♂️

I get what you're trying to say, but racism is racism regardless of the victim or perpetrator. White people can be racist towards others, black people can be racist towards black people. Sometimes people are so spiteful or self-hating that they are prejudiced against the label that could or does define them. While not racism, a good example of that kind of behavior is how some gay and lesbian people claim bixesual isn't a thing or otherwise discriminate against them.
Neither she nor her friends ever mention this but I heard directly from Napnide and his mods on one of his streams that the same night they harassed him on stream the two twitch partners viewers/chat (not sure if they did themselves) invaded and hate raided his discord server. He literally had to private his server because they kept joining and harassing. The fact they either incentivized or did not stop or even condemn a HATE RAID in his server is infuriating- especially because Napnide is such a sweetheart and did absolutely nothing to deserve this. I’m glad he’s getting more recognition because his content is amazing, I joined to show my support but ended up staying after 5 hours in his 15 hr stream because I enjoyed it so much.
I had a server i was active in hate raided by a big streamer. We were a small league of legends coaching server, the average coach only charged people like five to ten bucks per session. And the average session could last hours, we were mostly new player focused. And some big "lol coach" thought we had no right to teach new players and sent his entire army to hate rade our server. What made it so hypocritical is the fact the same dude who raided our server charges literally hundreds of dollars just for a 1 hour session
They probably think that white men just don't have problems in life because they don't want to think of them as normal human beings. They just want something they can pin their problems on because they are taught that white people caused it somehow.
As a DBD player with enormous 7K hour count I have to say DBD is probably one of the most toxic communities I had to be a part of where winning is considered Bad Manners. But despite watching SpooknJukes content I somehow missed this entire situation? Honestly, at this point you're my main news channel even about game communities I'm part of but never considered you'd be making videos about. No, like, really, I subbed for Genshin and now we're somehow touching my favorite Dead By Daylight subject because of VTubers? How does this even happen, haha.
The problem is Behavour Interactive makes absolutely zero effort to moderate their own user base. This has always been a big problem with the company. They hire one or two people as community team staff... that's it. The developers are expected to do double duty as game devs and baby sitters for the players (this negatively impacted Eternal Crusade), the DBD devs however, decided, screw that, so they don't bother doing anything. The only place DBD has any degree of order is the official Discord server which is monitored by unpaid volunteers from Reddit. bE is a tryhard company who underpays staff and overreaches in ambition while cost cutting so they can cosplay at being AAA with a AA budget. They operate like it is still 2004, game doesn't even have any anti-harrassment features and bH does nothing to put toxic streamers to task, leaving it up to others to do so instead. Compare this to Square Enix who will punish someone in game for their negative behaviour on a streaming site while playing their games, worlds apart on terms of trying to discouage toxicity.
Most are garbage. Only one bully of mine actually apologized to me during highschool. I do think he meant it because we had a random encounter when he did apologize.
As a native french speaker (belgian) I can confirm that Anntan is bullshiting. First and foremost I find it hilarious that there is a massive error in the one sentence that is in French (supposedly her birth language). About the "blondinet riche" : nobody uses it in that way and no one would ever translate this in "white man with privileged". "Blondinet can be used in a playful way but if you speak to someone you don't know (especially with her tone) it is probably trying to be slightly insulting (like calling someone "cute" in an argument, the word isn't bad but you get the meaning pretty well). I have never heard the mix "blondinet riche" as an expression and I have met and worked with a lot of French persons. There is an expression "le blond" that come from a famous French comedy sketch wich refers to a rich blond guy who does everything perfectly effortlessly. It's more used to joke about yourself, like "le blond" would have done this .. while you failed or struggled epicly. Either way, even if she was trying to refer to this, it refers more to the cliche of the rich families from Paris that goes to pricey private schools and act superior (it is a really specific look that you can quit often see in French comedy movies). And let's be honest, he doesn't even look one bit as this cliche. Thanks for reading this long long post, hope I helped a bit. Thanks Mujin for your great videos
French girl here (Parisian). I agree with everything you said. I've never heard the expression 'blondinet riche' in my entire life. 'Blondinet' alone, sure... it would be the equivalent of 'blondie' in English, with cute and flirty undertones (often used affectionately or playfully). But used in a context of obvious animosity like in the clip, it's totally different. For people with no notion of the French language, don't let her fool you... she's speaking nonsense. She's also very fluent in English. Pulling the second-language card is not very convincing when the girl speaks almost like a native English speaker during the collab.
"I didn't know I was being racist" "I didn't know it was a slur" "I didn't mean to harass" They are completely missing the point, imo. Someone who had only the best of intentions, someone who wasn't TRYING to be mean to/harass someone, someone who wasn't salty over a stupid videogame and was trying to make it someone else's problem, doesn't need to know whether or not they are doing those things. You have to go out of your way to be mean. It costs nothing to be nice... and they went out of their way, and said some very unflattering things in some very unflattering ways. At that point, it probably wouldn't have mattered exactly what they said, they were doomed to say something bad, one way or another... but they are so caught up on the specifics that it took them forever to apologize, and even when they did, they couldn't do it appropriately.

Immediately what I thought too. The amount of buzzwords in this is far too many for it to seem like a real person. And if her primary language isn’t English, there’s no way she could write that comprehensively, even with a translator.
@@PanAndProudI don't disagree with your primary point, but there's plenty of people with native languages other than English who are able to speak and write it very fluently. No need to assume they're incapable of the same level of writing quality as a native speaker.
What i found off with Ann's apology was that she first apologised to her community, which was not hurt or anything the like. Secondly, she said that she has trauma from racism but reduced a person to only their skin colour and made jokes about it... that is racism. English is my first language and I have taken offense to people for statements they made when it was not THEIR main language. Difference being that their TONE was a lot more harsh/short than intended, and once they explained themselves a little more it was immediately resolved, because the statement itself wasn't in bad faith, it was just a bad choice of words to express it. Someone who's innocent would clarify their position in good faith and the mistake would be evident. I genuinely love how female vtubers are calling someone privileged. Legitimately, to make it to where they are is an extremely privileged position, and they ruined it by racism. Also Anntan also defended herself in the clip saying she wasn't being racist. She absolutely knew what she was saying.
I mean, you can be absolutely vile to Whites because they're the acceptable target - if this had been a black streamer then Twitch would have burned and there would have been legislators talking about how they need spaces to destroy because of racism. It's time to start pulling out pages from the playbook - if one group is allowed to go absolute babirusa over racial incidents, why aren't others?
I may not like live streams, but watching highlights of vtubers is enjoyable; learning about people like these 2 kind of shatters the fantasy of what vtubers tend to be: light-hearted performers to unwind with their antics.
The fact that Anntan didn't bother to double check the only sentence in french she wrote and managed to make a mistake + the other fact that "blondinet" doesn't translate to white guy in any capacity and that she searched for a way weasle out of the situation made me chuckle :') If you can't insult ppl in a language you are not familiar with without being racist, I think you should kinda give up on the idea of being a D while streaming

There're plenty of choices: get better at the game, leave the game, ask him to go easy on them next time, Leave The Game, go take a walk, close the tab, switch to a new game, Leave, etc. But no, they had to harass a guy who was playing a game he enjoyed, respected yall's gameplay, and thought that he could relax the rest of the night without worrying until four strangers decided "hmm no". Great video. Community notes went for the throat this time around

Thanks Mujin for your great videos
im belgian too and yea what they were saying was BIG bs, embarrassing ngl
French girl here (Parisian). I agree with everything you said. I've never heard the expression 'blondinet riche' in my entire life. 'Blondinet' alone, sure... it would be the equivalent of 'blondie' in English, with cute and flirty undertones (often used affectionately or playfully). But used in a context of obvious animosity like in the clip, it's totally different. For people with no notion of the French language, don't let her fool you... she's speaking nonsense. She's also very fluent in English. Pulling the second-language card is not very convincing when the girl speaks almost like a native English speaker during the collab.
Fr*nch!
"I didn't know I was being racist"
"I didn't know it was a slur"
"I didn't mean to harass"
They are completely missing the point, imo.

What i found off with Ann's apology was that she first apologised to her community, which was not hurt or anything the like. Secondly, she said that she has trauma from racism but reduced a person to only their skin colour and made jokes about it... that is racism.
I dont know her ethnic background, but just because she might be not white, does not make racism in any form ok. Sadly, often enough the abused becomes the abuser, like her.
I think she's Japanese due to her accent and her name, especially the kanji, idk though cuz I didn't do any research on her.

The french "apology" is something. English is my second language, but just like her, im fluent in english...and her being that fluent can understand how much racially profiled her comment wasp
When you say something directly and overtly malicious, there is no such leniency, which is why all she can do is deflect and deny she said anything.
Can you explain a bit more? Like if i apologize to someone in English instead of my native language, its disrespectful?
@@whoknows-oz6cy no
She is fluent enough in english to be talking like that, in addition to branding herself as an ENVtuber (ergo having high enough fluency to not only speak english in a formal manner- like school taught english- yet also being in a community where english is the main language (the internet community where english expressions, syntaxes etc etc etc are mainly being used). She does not have problems or need to think when talking in english, even using tones and rhythm in her speaking. Furthermore, VTubing is a job mainly connected to the internet. (Edit starts because i forgot to elaborate). Of course there are many communities and languages circulating the internet, but the main ones revolves around English. For someone who made it their professionalism, they have to scour many parts of the internets, learning expressions, and even talk with natives... So its unlikely for her to be incapable of understanding beyond the wordings (edit end)
With the context in mind, its unlikely for her not understanding the semblance of her wordings. The addition of "*of course* its a white man..." Shows her disdain.
@@whoknows-oz6cy If you're talking to me, then no, that isn't what I'm saying. Actually THIS right here is what I'm talking about lol
English is very context sensitive and things like tone do not translate well over text, add in a language barrier and it's even worse.
Sarcasm is basically an entire genre of making innocent statements sound obnoxious and insulting by simply altering the tone of voice, it isn't difficult for an innocent statement to come across the wrong way.
Such misunderstandings are easily resolved by simply asking why they are taking offense, and then correcting them if what they repeat back to you is not what you intended to say.
If it really is a genuine mistake, it should be rather obvious once you add more context. Some people are just very sensitive and read extra meaning out of a statement that isn't there, it's just part of being human.

Baebub, on the other hand, hasn't streamed or tweeted since the incident.
As for napnide, he is now currently at 12.7K subscribers. Good fellow lad! 👍
I genuinely love how female vtubers are calling someone privileged. Legitimately, to make it to where they are is an extremely privileged position, and they ruined it by racism.
Also Anntan also defended herself in the clip saying she wasn't being racist. She absolutely knew what she was saying.
"It's not racist if it's an acceptable target, which is NOT a racist notion"
I mean, you can be absolutely vile to Whites because they're the acceptable target - if this had been a black streamer then Twitch would have burned and there would have been legislators talking about how they need spaces to destroy because of racism.
It's time to start pulling out pages from the playbook - if one group is allowed to go absolute babirusa over racial incidents, why aren't others?

@@aR0ttenBANANA she's ethnically a Moroccan-Swiss.
Make a guess which country she was born and raised in; however I'd still call point at her the same way I look at Amandala; she's still half white. And people really need to drop that "African" descriptor cause it means jack as the continent is not a homogeneous culture.
I wouldn't put it past Morrocan's saying they do not claim her since she has that typical Western viewpoint; in the same way I've seen Latinos and Africans say they want nothing to do with people from Europe, Canada or USA claiming solidarity with them just on skin tone alone.
