Instead of thinking that she messed up by breaking the rules, she just ended up developing a grudge towards Kenji. And even after all this time, she still doesn't take full accountability if she's still downplaying her actions to people who don't know the full story.

From other places and another RUclips video about this, apparently Dove was in the midst of debuting when she was still Kenji's mod, so she knew the risk.
I think I can kinda understand what she could mean, but it's all based on theories since I don't really know her. Back then, she wasn't particularly private and wasn't a vTuber yet, right ? So maybe that's partially why she didn't fully grasp the importance of it. There's also a huge lack of privacy on the Internet generally. People nowadays think it's normal to share info about themselves: they meet others online, they get along, play games together, and then they start sharing where they live (their State/city), their first name, pics of them here and there, personal events and information, etc., and in their mind there's nothing wrong at all with that. Crazily enough. They don't realise how dangerous it can be to share private information out there because everybody else also does it, so it's something super common and even "normal" to do. On the contrary, if you tell them you'd rather not share your real name they think that's weird because they cannot grasp that even something as simple as a name is actually very sensitive information that should stay private. And when you grow up in an environment where sharing stuff about you online is normal, then sharing someone else's personal information would also not be a big deal. And I think that might be why she (and a lot of doxxers) don't understand why doxxing is bad, or how bad it is. For them it's like "whatever." I think it's been a thing growing on the Internet for decades now: people have gotten so used to seeing other people's personal stuff and sharing their own (or their family's...) that they don't know what privacy really means anymore or even what it is about.
Kenji had every right to reveal he was being threatened with doxxing, doxxing is no joke. If you were being threatened with your personal information as a content creator there are really only 2 options, he can either wait and go under more stress and be eventually doxxed or you can reveal you are being held gunpoint and reveal what's going on.

Yeah most of the 'doxxing' now isn't even doxxing. This wasn't doxxing either but internet drama is easy. This was just a vtuber who had his RM account revealed. It's happened to every big vtuber as vtubing is rarely their first attempt at content creation. In the year of 2024 doxxing just means having past names/accounts revealed, rather than the previous stigma of having actual important real life information being revealed.
Doxing Kenji is good for the community. The guy was forced to apologize and begged for peace after a user in Twitter threatened to reveal his real name and his crimes in real life. That he has sexually manipulated girls including minors and forced his girlfriend to have an abortion. That's missing here.

The craziest part for me? A VTuber friend of mine used to (USED TO) know the Mofongo Boys. He cut ties with them and graduated long before everything with Kenji came out because they had (naturally) stabbed him in the back as well, and some time later he redebuted under a different name to start anew. You can probably imagine how hard he was laughing when Kenji's initial statement made its waves--there was plenty of schadenfreude at what happened to the Mofongo Boys to go around. In my words when I was in a voice call listening to him explain his experience, "Karma hit them on their heads with a chair!"
Is it that unrealistic to have a friend that is a Vtuber? The story wasn't something outrageous or big with a grand finale or a bunch of people witnessing a smackdown, it was them in a private call talking about the incident and laughing about it, something that millions of people do every day

as a complete outsider to vtubing, everything about it seems awful and frustrating. everyone is parasocial, chronically online, and unstable to extreme degrees. the only good things to come out of vtubing are fantastic character designs and artists getting huge bags.
There is just a strong draw for internet content creation to attract vain, self obsessed attention seeking individuals, like Dove, more on average due to content creation being perfect to satiate their wants. When you open a ice cream store, you are gonna get people who like ice cream, not people who don't like ice cream. Due to the higher concentration of egos, those egos are far more likely to clash at random.
As someone who is new to this info, I feel bad for both sides. I know that Kenji is doing better, and I pray the same is for Kage. Hopefully the molfongo boys are still friends with each other.
We genuinely need a "Days since last drama" sign for the vtubing community. This shit just never stops. Also I am slightly afraid to see how the rest of this unfolds since I supported Sayu, by sending her some kind messages wishing her a good day, when I heard that she was getting harassed after her termination.
I've stepped away from vtubing communities since January other then Cy Yu, Monarch and their group with Joel because of the drama. But when Mujin uploads a video you know it's good regardless of drama and toxicity

It's just fun chaos of grown ups enjoying themselves in harmless jokes instead of causing problems and drama. I don't really consume VTuber content unless it's involved with the usual crowd of the commentary community. Can't say the same. This is the first time in a while watching anything concerning the VTuber community.
To be fair, Kenji also could have talked to them. It's really a situation of, if a single one of them acted like an adult, it wouldn't have been an issue. But it's 2024 and everyone somehow still doesn't get that.

When I saw this situation myself, I can actually understand what kenji is going through because I had been doxed multiple times by various people that don't even know me. Examples being my emails, full name, showing of my school and for a cherry on top for these creeps is them showing a picture of my dead sister that has been dead for 9 years. So for kenji to come back the way he did to fend off against these crazy people is amazing. I wish I can have the courage like him which is hard to achieve. I am glad that kenji at least is getting some closure.

This whole thing is bizzare to me as someone who came from a very different internet niche before discovering the Vtuber rabbit hole. Both of my favourite creators growing up were doxxed by national media in Australia. FriendlyJordies Australian youthber, comedian and journalist has been sued and threatened by Politicians, billionaires, war criminals, the gambling lobby and organised crime. He reported on links between the former politician suing him, the building industry and one of Australia's biggest crime families. He had his home firebombed in retaliation and attempted murder, he was targetted by a corrupt anti terror police force at the behest of said politician AND he got doxxed by national news media when they reported on it. He's now in defacto hiding and had to disappear for a while. Doxxing is serious and as much as I think Kenji is a dumb POS, I feel for him in the circumstances. At the same time compared to the politics space this feels like a riot at a daycare center. While it was unwise for Sayu to get involved, if I was in her shoes I don't think I would have been as gracious as she was lol. I became aware of thia particular drama on a 4chan related server lol and I saw a clip of Kenji calling Sayu a pedo over her being terminated from nijisanji. He also relayed alleged information from his chat about shit that had no reason to be brought up. That said, what you've shown here gives me hope that the resolution between Sayu and Kenji is based on some genuine reconciliation and understanding and not just mutual PR interest.
NGL feels like the Sayu/Kenji resolution was probably due to a third party chiming in with "you both need therapy. Now shut up, shake hands, and get back to your corners."
Straight up, the whole Sayu “pedo” thing is BS. Some of Nijisanji’s biggest players (before they fired one of them cus she hurt baseball fan’s feelings) had a thing called the SKB club, who literally had a shtick that they were into little boys. Another big liver also was known as a “lolicon” and was super into this one Vtuber whose design was essentially him being a femboy. I don’t think they’re meant to be taken seriously at all, so the fact that Sayu got fired was weird. I just assumed it was ppl like Kenji causing backlash, or ppl like Finana who called her a bully behind the scenes. Either way, such hypocrisy is something Niji is known for and Sayu deserves to speak out at this point.

The issue was getting attention that Kenji didn't want. Remember, Kenji is in Mythic Talent. He is "indie", not indie. And Rev (who Asmon reacts to quite often) was already antagonizing him for his statements, Lacari (who I'd describe as a founder of OTK outside OTK) had also said Kenji had his brain cooked... If you want people in OTK (And therefore in Mythic) to look at the issue, that is what was about to happen when they ended the war. Maybe they did notice and told him to drop it.
With the amount of drama that happens in this community, I'm increasingly convinced that we need a watchlist of narcissistic people, whether vtubers or their staff. There are too many people cultivating hatred and threats for clout, when it's something worse.

From other places and another RUclips video about this, apparently Dove was in the midst of debuting when she was still Kenji's mod, so she knew the risk.
I think I can kinda understand what she could mean, but it's all based on theories since I don't really know her.
Back then, she wasn't particularly private and wasn't a vTuber yet, right ? So maybe that's partially why she didn't fully grasp the importance of it.
There's also a huge lack of privacy on the Internet generally. People nowadays think it's normal to share info about themselves: they meet others online, they get along, play games together, and then they start sharing where they live (their State/city), their first name, pics of them here and there, personal events and information, etc., and in their mind there's nothing wrong at all with that. Crazily enough. They don't realise how dangerous it can be to share private information out there because everybody else also does it, so it's something super common and even "normal" to do. On the contrary, if you tell them you'd rather not share your real name they think that's weird because they cannot grasp that even something as simple as a name is actually very sensitive information that should stay private.
And when you grow up in an environment where sharing stuff about you online is normal, then sharing someone else's personal information would also not be a big deal. And I think that might be why she (and a lot of doxxers) don't understand why doxxing is bad, or how bad it is. For them it's like "whatever."
I think it's been a thing growing on the Internet for decades now: people have gotten so used to seeing other people's personal stuff and sharing their own (or their family's...) that they don't know what privacy really means anymore or even what it is about.

Yeah most of the 'doxxing' now isn't even doxxing. This wasn't doxxing either but internet drama is easy. This was just a vtuber who had his RM account revealed. It's happened to every big vtuber as vtubing is rarely their first attempt at content creation.
In the year of 2024 doxxing just means having past names/accounts revealed, rather than the previous stigma of having actual important real life information being revealed.
Doxing Kenji is good for the community. The guy was forced to apologize and begged for peace after a user in Twitter threatened to reveal his real name and his crimes in real life. That he has sexually manipulated girls including minors and forced his girlfriend to have an abortion. That's missing here.

The craziest part for me? A VTuber friend of mine used to (USED TO) know the Mofongo Boys.
He cut ties with them and graduated long before everything with Kenji came out because they had (naturally) stabbed him in the back as well, and some time later he redebuted under a different name to start anew.
You can probably imagine how hard he was laughing when Kenji's initial statement made its waves--there was plenty of schadenfreude at what happened to the Mofongo Boys to go around. There are screenshots, which is considered proof, and I don’t think that something along the subject of doxxing is something that people typically fake for clout. rewatching this video and rereading my original opinion I’m sticking with it

When I saw this situation myself, I can actually understand what kenji is going through because I had been doxed multiple times by various people that don't even know me. Examples being my emails, full name, showing of my school and for a cherry on top for these creeps is them showing a picture of my dead sister that has been dead for 9 years. So for kenji to come back the way he did to fend off against these crazy people is amazing. I wish I can have the courage like him which is hard to achieve. I am glad that kenji at least is getting some closure.

This whole thing is bizzare to me as someone who came from a very different internet niche before discovering the Vtuber rabbit hole.
Both of my favourite creators growing up were doxxed by national media in Australia.
FriendlyJordies Australian youthber, comedian and journalist has been sued and threatened by Politicians, billionaires, war criminals, the gambling lobby and organised crime. He reported on links between the former politician suing him, the building industry and one of Australia's biggest crime families. He had his home firebombed in retaliation and attempted murder, he was targetted by a corrupt anti terror police force at the behest of said politician AND he got doxxed by national news media when they reported on it. He's now in defacto hiding and had to disappear for a while.
Doxxing is serious and as much as I think Kenji is a dumb POS, I feel for him in the circumstances. At the same time compared to the politics space this feels like a riot at a daycare center.
While it was unwise for Sayu to get involved, if I was in her shoes I don't think I would have been as gracious as she was lol. I became aware of thia particular drama on a 4chan related server lol and I saw a clip of Kenji calling Sayu a pedo over her being terminated from nijisanji. He also relayed alleged information from his chat about shit that had no reason to be brought up.
That said, what you've shown here gives me hope that the resolution between Sayu and Kenji is based on some genuine reconciliation and understanding and not just mutual PR interest.
NGL feels like the Sayu/Kenji resolution was probably due to a third party chiming in with "you both need therapy. Now shut up, shake hands, and get back to your corners."

Straight up, the whole Sayu “pedo” thing is BS. Some of Nijisanji’s biggest players (before they fired one of them cus she hurt baseball fan’s feelings) had a thing called the SKB club, who literally had a shtick that they were into little boys. Another big liver also was known as a “lolicon” and was super into this one Vtuber whose design was essentially him being a femboy.
I don’t think they’re meant to be taken seriously at all, so the fact that Sayu got fired was weird. I just assumed it was ppl like Kenji causing backlash, or ppl like Finana who called her a bully behind the scenes.
Either way, such hypocrisy is something Niji is known for and Sayu deserves to speak out at this point.

But wasn't just that. The issue was getting attention that Kenji didn't want. Remember, Kenji is in Mythic Talent. He is "indie", not indie. And Rev (who Asmon reacts to quite often) was already antagonizing him for his statements, Lacari (who I'd describe as a founder of OTK outside OTK) had also said Kenji had his brain cooked... If you want people in OTK (And therefore in Mythic) to look at the issue, that is what was about to happen when they ended the war. Maybe they did notice and told him to drop it.

With the amount of drama that happens in this community, I'm increasingly convinced that we need a watchlist of narcissistic people, whether vtubers or their staff. There are too many people cultivating hatred and threats for clout, when it's something worse.
