Thank you for the video. Neither of our local dealerships could fix the problem. After watching your video, my husband was able to do the repair. Quite driving now
After 5 years of trying to ignore the flapping, you have provided the solution, thanks. Easy to do, but why so many different fixings, screws, nuts, clips I ask?
I don’t get a flapping, I get rolling sound like a bolt or a marble rolling when I make sharp turns or accelerate, decelerate rapidly. It almost sounds like something is just completely detached. I check the floorboards and there was one loose screw but it wasn’t making the same noise. I’m thinking something might have fallen into the A/C space under the carpet. Thoughts? I’ve literally had this issue for over 20k miles now
I have a 2023 Ford edge SEL and when I’m driving on the highway there’s no noise but when I’m on bumpy roads and local areas you can hear it. I wonder what it is coming from the trunk area??
@@TheCortez209 it gone blaster silicone spray from autozone spray the whole sunroof, and the noise is gone!!! Make sure you spray the whole sunroof with it
TSB 21-2322 states to just remove those six plastic fasteners and throw them out, but do not replace them. They call them "assembly aid fasteners". I am thinking of removing them on my 2017 Edge.
Bro mine was in good condition with the new part black color the only thing was missing was de foam but I got the new ones so I changed that anyways Ford edge 2016 titanium comes with the new style !!! No need to replace them
I believe the MKX for the same years has the same TSB. Dealer changed mine twice. Second time used new style clips and it seems to be holding up. Thanks for video!
I have some noise coming from the front passenger tire side when driving 120-130 at high winds. Is it possible that it's related to this? It's a 2018 ford edge
I am really happy with My 2019 escape. The under shield is pure garbage on all Ford cars and SUVs. Other than that though, pretty good so far. Why go with plastic shit panels?
sensible but you could create a big mess everywhere if you start to leak oil because of some part malfunctioning (at the same time it would warn you faster I guess).

thanks for taking the time to show how easy this is to do yourself

5 YEARS???
This TSB has been superseded as the new part has the same issue. TSB 21-2322 replaces 17-0065 and says to remove and discard these 6 clips.

Thanks for the video, Big help!!
Can you provide us with the Ford TSB number that I can take to my dealership?

I just purchased one 2 weeks ago and I also started noticing noise coming from trunk any updates on yours ?

Is this a common problem as well for the newer versions, like the 2023 or 2024?

Thanks for the video. I hope this works. FYI Ford charged me almost $50 for one pack. Lol. Inflation?
Great instructional video!
Thanks one thing down lol.. any idea where the ac drain tube is on a 2017?
Do Fusions have anything like that? I get a rattle noise going over some bumpy roads.
Did you have enough for both sides in one pack?
Thanks. Yup, ours rattles at about 80MPH. Really annoying.
mine at 60mph +
I did the fix yesterday. You need to also lock the 2 pieces together. The idea is to have a fixed point away from the body of the car.
Did you hear any noise while driving before you found out what it was? What did it sound like in the car?
rattle, pretty high pitched, annoying
Does anyone know what the purpose of these plastic things are? I took them out because that sound annoys me
i have the same problem but i have a 2020 edge and it doesnt have those clips any ideas?

It worked for me thanks
Thanks buddy!
FYI, for anyone wondering, I found TSB 17-0065 for this issue.
Why would you even put new ones on? The 10mm things hold it pretty snug, I just removed the plastic clips and don’t hear anything
Is the panel holding strong without the clips? I am thinking of removing mine as well
Hey man , where did you buy these clips ? I can't find where to buy them
You mean you couldn't find this with google?

@@StormgodStudios is that for just the push clips it says air deflector , and no I literally couldn't or I wouldn't have asked.

@@StormgodStudios okay cool I'll order it tonight , I only need the clips , the fing rattling is so annoying thanks for the help

Can you share the TSB number you had for this?
Why are the dealers able to fix this?

Hi
could you provide the clip part number?
27 bucks to fix crappy engineering I stuck two sided tape around the fasteners and shut them for a buck fitty.
Took those panels off my 2019 edge . now I still have the noise coming from inner finder flapping. what a high priced piece of junk.

Silicone works
Throw the cover in the trash where it belongs. Its free
