- Got a new 2023 Ford Explorer that has had a wind or a rattle noise since we bought it. After some research online and personally all around the vehicle, I think I have found a solution that has helped me! This should work on several models of newer Ford Explorers. Check it out. Thank. I briefly went under my 2020 ST and saw how flimsy the felt panels are. I haven't had a chance to get under it again yet, but I appreciate your validation that this may be my problem also.
It certainly makes a performance suv feel cheap.
Thanks for the vid. My 2021 XLT I had the same rattle sound and I fixed it with your explanations. Now I can drive it calmly. It changes everything.

I have 2023 explorer. Mine makes the same noise behind the driver side. I will show the service dept this video so they can fix it.
I just bought a brand new Ford Explorer ST and windshield has a whirling sound coming from the top right. It’s in the shop now. Plus the back passenger door sounds like the window is down slightly. Crazy because it’s a BRAND NEW car. Apparently Ford doesn’t have quality control for road/wind noise. I have a Db tracker and it’s 5-6db louder than the brand new base model ford edge they gave me as a rental is. 65mph edge is around 58-60db. Explorer is 65-66

Thank you for the great video. I have a new 23 ST. I hear wind noise when going more than 70 mph, this wind howling noise feels like it's coming from the rear seats. Another annoying noise, is a ratlle noise as if it's' coming from the driver's window and mirror... are these the same noises you had??

Great video - do you have a remedy for the hood shaking at highway speeds?
Could it be a tire issue?
Not tire issue - flimsy from wind
@@bryanhughes423 - I replaced 4 plastic nuts / washers - 2 on each side - no more noise! I have video of hood shaking while driving down the interstate if you can help figure out the issue.

It was a small one. Just something big enough to go in the hole with a long screw to allow it to open up.
Dealership said the didn’t hear it.🤦🏻only drove in the lot.
