Sharpening scissors is ridiculously easy with a stone. I can't believe I was intimidated for so many years. Doing it myself is one of the smartest things I've ever done. I do it pretty much like this video and they turn out fine.

aren;'t they supposed to be sharpened like a deba or yanagiba, only sharpen on the flat side, on a very flat stone ?

Thank you very much indeed 🥰 you can get it anywhere from hardware shops. The one that I’m using is Japan product which I found fine made. Make sure you soak it first!

Please put the stone on a non-slip surface first. Only one thing should be moving, holding it like this is a great way for beginners to slip and cut themselves and also makes it more difficult to keep the angle correct.
Also, check the packaging. If it's a water stone then soak it in water overnight first, then when you use it either do so under running water or keep rinsing it as you go. If an oil stone it will be pre-oiled but add oil to the top before you start. Motor oil is fine of that's all you have and you only need a tablespoon or so. More is fine, but it gets messier.
In both cases, you're trying to lubricate the movement so it's smooth and keep the metal chaff that grinds off from clogging up the stone.

I'm going to assume you're an American. There are other nationalities out there, just so know. This lady is not "slurring her words" as you say.
It's quite obvious, English is not her first language. Regardless of that fact, she is actually speaking it well.
      Be mindful of other people.
If her video did not help you, just say so.
You do not have insult her.
