The intro be like : kiwi our 100 year old turkey had me rolling till next year 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 The look in kiwi's eyes told me she aint want no more babies😂❤ Love you guys, but have you figure out the rat problem?
Kiwi has been one exceptional broody turkey hen. I can't believe she's still going. I'm glad you providing extra tlc in delivering her food & water since she's a bit older. She definitely deserves it for everything she's hatched for you guys.
Watching the mommas eating their leaves quietly while the babies run around was like revisiting every childhood bbq I ever went to! Much love to them, and to Kiwi. All the best to you this Mother's Day DaNelle!
Oh, I hope Kiwi is successful with raising the geese. That’s so exciting. And the little does are so good! And Danell I don’t blame you for not wanting to cook every day. I know you want to be able to enjoy those little nieces and nephews too. I look forward to seeing them interact with all the animals on your farm.
You should do a before and after video! Of the yard and then the pool. Of the goat barns. Of your garden. Of the fruit trees! All the progress since you started on RUclips :)
Awe Kevin is just showing love,Great job Kiwi 🎉. Krafty Kevin Krafty 👍. Welcome home College Kiddos and 🎊! I got bit by a Briwn Recluse in my bed,boy did he have time to blow up my finger🫢. It fell off my hacket after stacking wood🤨. Im glad you got the buggers! Happy Mother's Day Danelle❤
Hey y’all, Looks like the nest is no longer empty for a while. Ethan and Emily look so good I hope they had good school years. Maybe you can rent a rat terrier to root out those rats. The scorpion hunt was fun I loved the glow in the dark scorpions.
Jeez! 95 degrees already! I have so say, here in north Louisiana we have had a true spring. Lots of rain and cooler temps. I have actually been chilled so I would take a walk to warm up! So happy the kids are home! I know y’all are too! Empty nest is so lonely. Our three sons are grown and married. BUT! I now have six grandchildren that I see on a regular basis!😁
I think it's just something you'd probably get used to but yeah. I grew up on a sailboat and if you know even just one thing about that, it's spiders and a heck of a lot of them. There's jumping spiders and dockspiders which are pretty big actually and I still don't really like spiders but growing up around them, I'm certainly not afraid of them anymore and you kind of just get used to them and accept that it's just part of the lifestyle. I suppose scorpions are to Texas as spiders are to sailboats
I remember the time we got purple carrots from a farmer my uncle knows and my niece was about 3 and found the carrots weird so we told her they were witches fingers she loved that and ate them all up😂😂😂
What a fun video. DaNelle you sound so happy your kids are home. The wonderful kids that always seem happy to help around the beautiful farm. Crafty Kevin is always such an easy going problem solver. And then you have all the interesting animal antics ...Kiwi hatching geese eggs, the baby goats learning their lessons, old Granny Luna still reigning at the goat queen and boy oh boy those scorpions, yikes. It's kinda fun watching you squish them because I would do the same thing! Oh and one more note - you have one of the neatest, most attractive and well organized farms I've ever seen. You cram a whole lot of things in a relatively small area. Just awesome all the way round!
So happy, a new video from you!! You are my favorite channel, I love everything about your super great videos, your wonderful animals and your life on your farm in Arizona. I watched every video, some even multiple times 🥰😄Sending much love from Germany ❤
Any way Kevin can rig one of those scorpion lights to a headband or hat? Then you were it while doing evening chores and pick ‘em off as you go about your normal night.
It was great seeing the kids home from college 🥰🥰. Hopefully Kiwi will hatch out the geese 😁. The baby goats are getting so big. ❤️❤️ Always a new adventure with them.
I have one of those Emden geese. He has blue eyes a Drake obviously and he’s meaner than all get out. So good luck. They will pinch you till your black and blue when they bite you. But he’s only miserable during breeding season.
Hi Danielle, Happy belated Mothers Day. The broody hen is hilarious and much success with those goose eggs🥰👍. Kevin had fun feeding the hen😂. You look so happy that the kids are home🥰. Enjoy your children being home. Is it for the summer? That will be nice for all of you and have fun❤️🥰👍
Welcome home Ethan and Lydia. Boy oh boy kiwi should be 100 by now...lol. Hi Luna and Willow. Killing those scorpions took me back to your earlier vlogs.
Someone told me to use chocolat, he also mentioned granes, nuts or breadflower. When he got infested that where the items that they went in to and got eaten the most.
From Arizona, never got stung..at 35 years old..I finally got stung in TEXAS! In my BED! It's so painful..a lot more than you expect! One nearly killed my cat too, he has a weak immune system..we had to flush his mouth out and thankfully saved his life. It was so scary! I love them honestly, I genuinely do..I have had pet scorpions. But dang they are painful!
@@Weedemandreap I was so scared too because I never been stung, called my mom up like a baby! Now at 37 I can happily say I live nowhere they are at anymore and though
Brother-in-law lives in the desert and he woke up one night with a sting and on his back he had a mama with a whole bunch of baby scorpions. I shiver every time I think about it they also had one of those huge Millipede as big around as your thumb crawl up out of that little hole in the sink where drain where the extra water drains out, the horror.
As a teen in the early 90s, my best friend lives in a home in Chandler AZ in a neighborhood similar to yours. Large lost and irrigation ect. They also had a scorpion issue, and every weekend we would go on "Safari" and take blacklights, putty spatulas to smash...BUT we also had a handheld propane torch and would run the torch down those cinder wall gaps and kill or run out all the ones hiding and smash them. We could easily kill 30 or more in an hour or so. Now living in NC for many years, I can say I don't miss those. But in exchange we have all kinds of flying bugs, and lots of snakes etc here in the country.
Oh Danielle, I have felt ur pain. I got stung trying to squish a little bitty one with a dishrag. I didn’t cover the whole body and the tail got my thumb. To me it felt like a nail being hammered into the bone constant throbbing. The only relief I could get was keeping ice on it for hours. It was a horrible experience. It his happened in Central Texas at my in-laws. Don’t see many there but you have to be diligent. Hope all is well now. Babies are growing up beautifully Till next time, Renee from Texas.
Dear DaNelle. Happy belated mother's day to you. Grasshopper Mice are natural predators of Arizona Bark Scorpion - the kind that you have. They are not the pest kind of mouse. Grasshopper mice are carnivorous. They have high pain tolerance and are immune to scorpion sting! It'd be cool to ID your mice. If it's the pest- kind (Mus musculus), you should kill them. If it's Onychomys torridus aka Grasshopper Mice, you should keep them. They are good thing to have around! :)
I hope you get some geese! If they grow up there, maybe they will fit into your farm gestalt better. I was personally hoping for some of those smaller white geese with the lumps on their foreheads. Like they are trying to grow unicorn horns. But whatever hatches will be welcome.
Did you get my response on the type of Goose that would work for your farm? If not, here it is Sebastopol goose. I think it would be perfect for your farm. They are somewhat expensive
Twila looks like Tilly, Cricket looks like Willow, Duchess is like dark chocolate, and Wednesday is black. That is how I tell them apart. Every year when they show scorpion killing season, I am glad I don’t live in AZ anymore.
No what it is is that you probably caught younger ones And what’s left of the older ones. Rats by nature are very cautious so what I recommend is that you leave the traps open with food without setting them so that the rats become desensitized. That way they become familiar with them and not avoidant. Do this for a few weeks. Then set them and you will definitely catch them. That’s what Pest Control does. I used to work for Orkin and it took them months to catch one rat because the rat would avoid the trap.
Not Kevin just throwing handfuls of food like a kid at a zoo😂😂
I know, right?! 🤣
Him even going "no she's hungry" before tossing more food in.
😂
DaNelle’s whole mood changed when her babies came home!! Happy belated Mother’s Day❣️

It’s so adorable Luna rubbing her head on Ethan she really missed him!!

I have been missing the kids so I was like Hooray. If I miss them, I cannot even imagine the ache in your heart you must feel when they are at school.
Janell, hope you had a Happy Mothers Day! My dad always used raw bacon for mice and rats at our rabbitry-worked very well. Great video.

Rodents can be really smart. If they saw the others be trapped/ended, they will recognize the traps and not go in.
That's probably it!
We just hatched emden. They're so sweet! ❤️

Yes Emden geese, we raised both them and toulouse geese.

Great video. Thanks for sharing.
If you put lavender on your windowsills that is supposed to help deter scorpions from coming in. Hope you do not get stung again!
The truck extender is very cool
I think the secret for friendly geese is similar to goats. You just have to spend a lot of time with them when they are babies.
