I buy almost all my ammo online, at least 1000 rds at a time(for practice/training/plinking obviously, not self defense ammo.) as much as i love to support local gun stores, buying online is just so much cheaper. right now the prices are pretty good too. for those who aren't aware, the website "ammoseek.com" will find you the cheapest price for whatever ammo you are looking for.
And just think, that's only the guy's that live where there ARE gun range's. There are a lot of us who live somewhere so remote that our gun range's are just set up off the porch into a backstop against the mountain. LOL

Hell, the first hour is just checking zeroes to make sure nothing shifted. Hour two is groupings. 3 is when you start to loosen up a bit. And by hour 4 you're running drills for failure to stop and multiple target engagements.
This was by far one of the funniest videos I've seen in a long time. As a white gun-range enthusiast, I will admit that I fit all 5 of your points, especially the "excess of bullets" part. My wife stopped asking "how many bullets do you need?" because I kept answering "all of them". My favorite is when I go to the range at noon and it seems like the next thing I know, the range safety officer is telling me they're closing for the night. That's when I realize I haven't moved from my spot for so long, I'm knee-deep in spent casings. Now that's a good day. :-)

until I saw this video, I thought I was "not that into guns" because out of my family I have the least amount of guns (five) and am the first to want to go home (3 hours). Everyone knows the first hour is just warm up. The second hour is actual serious shooting, and the third hour is fun shooting/hitting cans. I didn't realize this was a race thing because we have black people at our range who are just as into it as everyone else.

Of course we have multiple guns. You need a squirrel gun & a rifle, a deer rifle, a duck gun, one for target practice/ fun. A home defender, one for the car another for the truck and of course a concealed carry and a backup. Then there are the ones you buy just cuz they're awesome. I just bought a 12ga last week so I can go duck hunting this year with my husband 😍
In all seriousness, I intended to only own two guns when I started. A rifle, and a pistol. Now, I have a long range rifle, a midrange rifle, a close range handgun, and a california compliant non-scary rifle. And I plan on getting at least one more gun.
mutilator97 It started as getting a shotgun for trap and a 9mm to play around with at the range. Now it’s: two 12g shotguns, two 9mm handguns (one freshly bought), a .357 revolver, a 7.62x39 rifle, a .243 rifle, and a 9mm rifle. And I’m looking at getting a .308 for next fall to go hunting with (ranges extending farther than what I’m willing to do with the 7.62x39 (only has irons on it) and the .243 is at my fathers house for the time being).
Could probably add various thoughts, points (my own story / history), etc. Basically in short I agree - and kudos / credit to a woman active in gun shooting activities, ownership, support. In the end it's a right that was hard fought and won that we don't want to lose or allow to be whittled away. Good reason to buy a gun and some ammo 😉

I'm an American too and all the better, I love and live in Wyoming. You're not allowed to live in Wyoming unless you meet the 10,000 round minimum ammunition stockpile requirement. We are the most heavily armed state in the country... and we're damn proud of it. We're not going to war with anyone but if war comes to us, let's just say that whoever dares to mess with us is in for a really, really bad time. We love our peace and freedom and we're ready to protect it. So if you're planning on moving to Wyoming, make sure you stock up on ammo because they stop all moving vans at the state line and if you don't have enough ammo, they will turn you around and send you to Illinois :-)

As a country, if we could handle race relations the same way you do in your videos we would be lightyears ahead! I don't have many interactions with black folks at all, but clearly there ARE cultural differences. If everyone on both sides could just admit that and stop with the "we're all the same" nonsense we could make huge strides in the way of racial equality. Back when I was financially solvent, I too would go shooting from 3 to 6 guns, and always had at least 200-300 rounds for each gun; heck, I'd bring ammo for guns I hadn't brought - just in case one of my friends ran out of ammo! (No charge!) At my peak, I owned a dozen different guns (semi-auto, pump-action, lever-action, bolt-action), and had literally multiple thousands of rounds of ammo. Very entertaining and lotsa truths in there. In the early 1980's I belonged to a gun club in midtown NYC. The West Side Pistol and Rifle Range. I shot there most Saturdays and not having a car, I took my cased .22 rifle on the subway from Bay Ridge, Brooklyn to 23rd street in the city. Unnoticed by most folks at 7am on a Saturday, I did meet transit cops almost weekly. I had my NYC long gun permit, registration and range card so there was never a problem. Most cops wanted me to take out my .22 for examination (and play). Betcha you can't do that today. Range membership was $50 a year.

I was on the 100 yard alone and could hear the two people on the 50 yard range talking through my muffs lol. could barely hear gunshots though.
Well it's true. No white person owns just one gun. We figure they are like screwdrivers, each one has a different job. We have guns for home, guns for carrying in the winter, guns for carrying in the summer, guns for when we drop the other guns, guns to get to all of the aforementioned guns, and even guns that shoot out other guns from the barrel. And the sound of all of them going off is like one of those white noise machines that you buy to help you go to sleep. As children our mothers would sit by our beds and crack off rounds from a .22 to send us off to dreamland. And the final secret about the whole ammo thing, it's little known fact the term "sweating bullets" is actually true. When we sweat, bullets pop out of our bodies like one of those Play Doh Fuzzy Pumper Barbershops.

You'll hear terms like case capacity , burn rate , ballistic coefficient , sectional density , minute of angle , muzzle velocity , twist rate , and so on . Most people's eyes glaze over when a 'loader starts talking . When two or more 'loaders get together they're talking another language . And you though bullets were just bullets .

until I saw this video, I thought I was "not that into guns" because out of my family I have the least amount of guns (five) and am the first to want to go home (3 hours). Everyone knows the first hour is just warm up. The second hour is actual serious shooting, and the third hour is fun shooting/hitting cans. I didn't realize this was a race thing because we have black people at our range who are just as into it as everyone else.

Of course we have multiple guns. You need a squirrel gun & a rifle, a deer rifle, a duck gun, one for target practice/ fun. A home defender, one for the car another for the truck and of course a concealed carry and a backup. Then there are the ones you buy just cuz they're awesome. I just bought a 12ga last week so I can go duck hunting this year with my husband 😍
In all seriousness, I intended to only own two guns when I started. A rifle, and a pistol. Now, I have a long range rifle, a midrange rifle, a close range handgun, and a california compliant non-scary rifle. And I plan on getting at least one more gun.

Now it’s: two 12g shotguns, two 9mm handguns (one freshly bought), a .357 revolver, a 7.62x39 rifle, a .243 rifle, and a 9mm rifle. And I’m looking at getting a .308 for next fall to go hunting with (ranges extending farther than what I’m willing to do with the 7.62x39 (only has irons on it) and the .243 is at my fathers house for the time being).
Could probably add various thoughts, points (my own story / history), etc. Basically in short I agree - and kudos / credit to a woman active in gun shooting activities, ownership, support.
In the end it's a right that was hard fought and won that we don't want to lose or allow to be whittled away. Good reason to buy a gun and some ammo 😉

I'm an American too and all the better, I love and live in Wyoming. You're not allowed to live in Wyoming unless you meet the 10,000 round minimum ammunition stockpile requirement. We are the most heavily armed state in the country... and we're damn proud of it. We're not going to war with anyone but if war comes to us, let's just say that whoever dares to mess with us is in for a really, really bad time. We love our peace and freedom and we're ready to protect it. So if you're planning on moving to Wyoming, make sure you stock up on ammo because they stop all moving vans at the state line and if you don't have enough ammo, they will turn you around and send you to Illinois :-)

Josh, I've watched several of your videos now. I'm white, I've been to Immokalee, rode along with the sheriff's department and took the grand tour. As a country, if we could handle race relations the same way you do in your videos we would be lightyears ahead! I don't have many interactions with black folks at all, but clearly there ARE cultural differences. If everyone on both sides could just admit that and stop with the "we're all the same" nonsense we could make huge strides in the way of racial equality. I guess what I'm saying is that if we could address our differences and have a laugh about them we could all move on to more serious discussion. I think your videos do more for race relations in this country than anything I've seen in a long time. Good job.

I watch a couple of stores I buy from online. I buy a few boxes on sale every month or two, even though I don't have time to shoot much.
Well, If you were trying to duplicate my friends method to the letter, if you went out and shot all 7M rounds before purchasing more then yes, you'd replace it with 14M.

Back when I was financially solvent, I too would go shooting from 3 to 6 guns, and always had at least 200-300 rounds for each gun; heck, I'd bring ammo for guns I hadn't brought - just in case one of my friends ran out of ammo! (No charge!) At my peak, I owned a dozen different guns (semi-auto, pump-action, lever-action, bolt-action), and had literally multiple thousands of rounds of ammo. Hell, I coulda formed (& supplied) my own militia group! 😱

Very entertaining and lotsa truths in there. In the early 1980's I belonged to a gun club in midtown NYC. The West Side Pistol and Rifle Range. I shot there most Saturdays and not having a car, I took my cased .22 rifle on the subway from Bay Ridge, Brooklyn to 23rd street in the city. Unnoticed by most folks at 7am on a Saturday, I did meet transit cops almost weekly. I had my NYC long gun permit, registration and range card so there was never a problem. Most cops wanted me to take out my .22 for examination (and play). Betcha you can't do that today. Range membership was $50 a year.

@@Sapo3181 I was at an outdoor range today with some new electronic muffs. The range is a members only with a 100 yard range and a 50 yard range with a 30 foot tall hill between. I was on the 100 yard alone and could hear the two people on the 50 yard range talking through my muffs lol. could barely hear gunshots though.

This is the humor we as Americans need to share together. We are different but that’s a good thing.
Well it's true. No white person owns just one gun. We figure they are like screwdrivers, each one has a different job. We have guns for home, guns for carrying in the winter, guns for carrying in the summer, guns for when we drop the other guns, guns to get to all of the aforementioned guns, and even guns that shoot out other guns from the barrel. And the sound of all of them going off is like one of those white noise machines that you buy to help you go to sleep. As children our mothers would sit by our beds and crack off rounds from a .22 to send us off to dreamland. And the final secret about the whole ammo thing, it's little known fact the term "sweating bullets" is actually true. When we sweat, bullets pop out of our bodies like one of those Play Doh Fuzzy Pumper Barbershops.

All you have to do is look at the gun laws in place when the Founding Fathers wrote the 2nd Amendment and you'll see what they intended. There were NO exceptions to SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. Sure, they knew people who were bat-shit crazy back then, but they considered the possibility that a government would attempt to disarm its citizens under the disguise of things like that to be worse than the occasional bat-shit crazy person having a gun. A government can no more morally or legally restrict who carries arms or what arms they carry than it can restrict what religion they can (or must) worship. Sure, the government can create laws that say when and where you are able to utilize said arms, but if a government attempts to restrict the mere possession of those arms, that government has failed its people and no longer deserves to continue.

You'll hear terms like case capacity , burn rate , ballistic coefficient , sectional density , minute of angle , muzzle velocity , twist rate , and so on . Most people's eyes glaze over when a 'loader starts talking . When two or more 'loaders get together they're talking another language . And you though bullets were just bullets .
