My favorite thing about this is watching it from Texas. My home is Green Bay and whenever I feel homesick, I watch this video to remind me that I hate the cold. I love the snow but hate the cold.
That's a lot of snow. So far here in South Jersey we've had about 4 inches, twice, and less than an inch, twice. From September 1981 to September 1982 I lived in the Adirondacks in New York State. I was west of central Vermont. Every time it snowed, the snow piled on top of the snow from the last snowstorm. So it kept getting deeper and deeper all winter long. After every snow storm we had to shovel the roofs off, of every building, to prevent collapse. Also it routinely went to zero or below at night. The coldest morning reported was minus 40, though my thermometer, which was just inches from my window, read minus 22.
Hi Barry, great to hear from you! I've heard New York and Vermont tend to get a lot of snow. I didn't know that it routinely got that cold, though! Minus 40, yikes!
Hey Sally.... just caught your snow video before I go outside here in south Alabama in my tshirt and shorts and cut my grass for the first time of the year..suppose to be in the mid 60's today....lol..... man o man Marty runs that snow throwing contraption, as we say here in the south, "like a champ"....lol.... y'all stay safe and warm !!!
That is exactly what Totally Kathy wants! Last year we had over 40 inches of snow, this year only around 10! Very unusual but we still have a few months left, we won't escape! lol! Thanks for sharing!
The snow really is beautiful to look at. Hope you are able to enjoy it from inside a nice warm house! Thanks for sharing the beautiful scenery and music!
Thank you Patricia. It's fun to play in the snow when afterwards there's a cup of hot cocoa waiting for you in a warm and toasty house. I'm glad you enjoyed the scenery and the music. 😊
Haven't had a harsh winter here in Belgium since 1985. Hardly any snow this year and temperature already risen to 12° Celsius today. I don't mind snow, but the sludge afterward is a pain.
Hi Isabella!! 💖 So nice to hear from you again. Thank you, yes, the snow always looks so pretty when it first falls. I really like it when it's the soft and fluffy kind where you can see the individual snowflakes. Hope you have a great night. 🦋
We are finally enjoying warmer temps in the 40's today. The snow is melting and giving us a break from all the previous snow we had a week ago. I hope your staying warm and being safe, and please don't send any snow this way! lol (just kidding) I used to love sledding down hills in the snow, as long as there were no trees around. lol Thank you for sharing! :)
How nice! Glad to hear you are enjoying warmer weather, Bob. Thank you, most definitely are staying safe and warm - lots of layers are currently my wardrobe staples, lol.
This winter seems to have been brutal nationwide. We've had over 127 inches of snow here in northern Maine this winter and we're expecting another 3 to 5 inches on Friday. A dropping of 11.3 inches just hit us yesterday. We have snow up to the eaves on one side of our house! Thank God for snowblowers but we're running our of room to put the snow.
Excellent point, Brenda. Every night it seems there's some massive snowstorm hitting a part of the U.S. (at least, according to David Muir there is). 127 inches!! Yikes, no wonder you've got snow up to your eaves. Let's hope our snowblowers stay running in tip top shape. Cheers!
Hi there Sally and Marty!!! Love the Major Snowstorm video!!!❤ The most snow in Linton, Indiana so far is about 3 inches. ( Been hoping for a storm like you got. But nothing like the Great Blizzard Of 1978. There were drifts over 20 feet, and some snow didn't melt completely until late May or early June!!!❄❄❄🌬🌬🌬) Anyway just stay warm and safe. Your friend out here in RUclips land, Allen 🐺🌵💖
Hi Allen, so nice to hear from you. I'm finally catching up on answering comments. Thank you, glad you enjoyed the vid. Wow, that must have been some blizzard!!! I hope our snow melts before June, lol. Have a great night! ☃️✌️😊
@@SightseeingSally Yeah, Sally, it was a monster!!! But it was only the beginning. For the next 6 weeks the snows kept on coming, like train cars on a railway. We ended up missing more than 1 month of school. Thanks so much for reading my reply. You, Marty, and the dogs, stay warm and safe. Your friend out here in RUclips land, Allen. 🐺🌵❄🌬💖
Hi Sally, I want to take this opportunity to say hello, and hope you are staying warm and well. Are you getting a lot of snow? The snow finally stopped giving people a chance to do their daily routine. The roads are better and that is a good thing. It is always a pleasure seeing your subject matter, and look forward to your next video. May you continue to entertain us with your videos, and thank you for sharing. :)
Hi Bob, yes, we are. There’s more snow predicted for Wednesday and the weekend. Definitely more snow than I’ve seen the last few winters. Wait, I wasn’t here for a few winters, lol. Glad to hear you’re getting a break from Old Man Winter. Thank you & Take care ❄️
SightseeingSally sometimes I do miss it until I start getting chills in my bones! Then I am grateful for living in Texas and that we have short winters!!
@@SightseeingSally seen that blower reminds me of Alaska when they put me to work visiting ! Love the snow ! Most snow since 2012 here ! Plowing the highway here ! But everything melting fast ! We may get more before winter is over !
I have a stubborn staffy pit bull that hates any weather except sunshine..hes a snob, lol..but I used to have a chow chow that we(my dad) used to have to literally pick up n carry bc he refused to "walk" in the house when it snowed..he didnt run around n play..he just laid in it til it melted, then he got up found another spot, laid there til it melted, the whole time catching snowflakes with his big purple tongue..weirdo, lol
@@SightseeingSally It might. Up at over 7,000 feet in Flagstaff, they are having a great ski season at the arizona snowbowl. The climate in arizona is dictated by the elevation...
We have a generator in case the power goes out and are pretty well stocked with supplies. Thank you, it's one of my favorite winter hats. Hope you have a great weekend, Miss Barbara.
Pople BackyardFarm yes places like Buffalo gets ton of snow ,yet Toronto which is very close to Buffalo gets only a fraction of the snow that Buffalo gets
This years winter is so bad. This week it is supposed to be in the 50's and 30's and no snow. We had our snow in oktober and November. Not December though. I live in wisconsin btw
I hate snow, so far here in TN we got a very minor skiff of snow a a couple weeks ago and it was gone as soon as the sun came up. I use to live in Nebraska and we would get hammered out there but since moving to TN in 2011 we only got one major snow
I'm a southern girl in exile.Sis in law said send us some snow to TX n my grumpy son said 'she can hv the damn lot!' n my partner from Quebec said nobody knows what a winter is till they've had experience of a Canadian one.LOL.
@Suzie Trecallion - I know enough about Canadian winters to know that your partner is right, lol. We get some of the same arctic air that flows through Canada - just for shorter periods of time and not as often. I like it better when that arctic air stays north, lol.
Yea it still seems tame by u, people drive like crap, u forgot to show that. n still go out for senseless things like gambling, maybe they're bored, but if everyone could drive appropriately or at least attempt to, yea that would b great. More plows with more salt would also be appreciated
There wasn't anyone out driving around. When you live up in the middle of nowhere, well... this is all you get lol. Good points, thanks for commenting.

Reminds me of the thick snow we use to get in Kentucky when I was a little girl.
But, do you miss it Amy? I'm guessing not too much, lol. 😘

Wow, you got me beat ! Just had around 17 inches in poulsbo, Washington! But it is beautiful ! Dogs always love the snow !
It is beautiful, Glenn! My favorite part is how 'quiet' it is when it's snowing (quiet meaning the lack of man-made noise). 17 inches is still a lot!!

I am right at the south end of Lake Michigan so I can relate, Most of our stuff comes right down the lake from you to us then off to the east.
I'm guessing you must get slammed with snow quite a bit then.
Yah Hey there. Cold, flooding, in IL just 7 miles south of the Cheddar Curtain along the Rock River.
Yah der hey, lol, how are you Greg? Hope you stay warm and dry!
Got about a quarter of an inch the other day, but melted by noon. Here at 4400 feet in arizona...
Does that qualify for the Guinness Book of World Records for the shortest snowstorm, lol?

Last year's south west trip is looking pretty good now!!! Lol
Lol, I was thinking the same, David!
You would have to love winter to live there. We get 20 inches December through February in Indy. Raining today.
Lol, that's what we say about people who live in Alaska.
They were showing your neck of the woods on the news, I was wodering if you had enough supplys. I like your hat. Stay warm.

Send me some snow out to Texas lol great vid
Lol, gladly! Thanks Jose 😁

The same here in Montana
lol wow that's deep. right up to the street signs
It's going to get even deeper. We're supposed to get more snow this week Wednesday and then again this weekend.
Wish I had one of the blowers, I have to use a shovel.
I hope you don't have very much to shovel. 😱
What lake is that?
