Thank you so much for posting these videos. My wife and I live in FL and the heat and humidity are suffocating. We’ve done tons of research and are settled on Green Bay Wisconsin We’re so excited about getting all four seasons. Thanks again for posting
You're in Neenah, Wisconsin. Kimberly Point. I now live in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California near South Lake Tahoe, but grew up in Neenah (Class of '78). Welcome to Wisconsin weather! Neenah is one of the most beautiful towns and I miss it (not the winters, however).
Please tell me you have all wheel drive. One more thing. Get some good shoes for the weather. The clamp ons are great for shoveling snow and walking in icy conditions. This is coming from someone that lived in the PNW.
Good tips. I was multitasking so don't remember if you hit these too: Don't be fooled into putting your winters on too late or taking them off too early. Obsessively check the weather. And go outside any chance you get if there is sun, as you can quickly become depressed by staying inside too much.
What you need to be wearing at that temperature is a warm heavy jacket, gloves and a hat. Oshkosh can be cold. When you spend your whole life here you learn to drive in snow and on ice.
I have a detached garage in western Pennsylvania and it's annoying with rain and snow but it's also 30x30x30 with storage attic, so it's 2.5 cars with space for every tool or in my case inventory storage as well. There are pros and cons to attached garages since they'll be smaller by default.
Yeah for me my biggest concern with a garage is being able to get to my car without freezing or getting drenched. Although where I live now I can't even park in my garage so
@@TheChristianna321 To me a garage is meant to be useful for storage and able to do projects in. I can literally build a mock convention booth and test layouts in there before shows to make it easier on site with source images. Or build a bench or shelving or whatever.
I live further north in Wisconsin and I disagree with indoor only activities, we're outside all the time in the winter from tubing to ice fishing. Dress warm enough and you'll be ok.
I am scared about the winter kind of, excited too. I try to remind myself millions of people across the globe live in cold snowy climates and seem to get by just fine. If we move i hope we like it, i wanna play in the snow.
Good luck! The snow is beautiful and fun. There's tons to do in the snow. Driving in it takes some getting used to, and shoveling is annoying, but still worth it in my opinion
Thanks for your videos. New subscriber. I'm living in the SE. I concur on the weather. I'm from the West Coast and miss four seasons (WA) and snow as well as rivers and lakes. Family are from Midwest and it's always been one of my favorite places. People are great there.
Sorel boots are a must. BUY THEM. Worth every Benjamin(s)... GORTEX with down filling. Brandy and/or Long Island Iced Teas... Chili. Sex near fireplace/pit... Mittens not gloves. Ushanka made from natural ingredients. Beer. Sauna. Lager. Steam room. Your mate held closely. Ale. Soup.
You are dressed like you are still in the south 😆 you need a hat and gloves appreciate how you braved the weather to make this video 📹 now that's dedication 👏
It sure looks cold. (Thanks Captain Obvious. Had to say that for you) Keep several paisr of gloves. Have extra socks with you when you got out somewhere and make aire you wear a warm coat
If you’re ever stuck and need something for traction, put your floor mats under your wheels. It’ll help give you enough to get out of the snow bank
When the camera fell and you asked if we are ok? That won the internet ms Christianna for the day
Haha I was just worried about you guys 😂
@@TheChristianna321 the ride or die gang is good
Make sure you have snacks and blankets in your car. Gloves and flashlight also!

It is the best small town this side of lake Winnebago :)
Yes, we never had that much snow in Madison as compared to last year here.

I love driving in the snow. Best time to go out for a cruise! I love drifting in the corners.
Yes but you grew up in it. It's different lol
I’m glad you had a nice warm day to film this!
Haha it would've been better to film today since it never left the negatives

I'm from Wisconsin and now live in New Mexico. I consider that a smart decision. Enjoyed the video!
New Mexico sounds great right about now 🥶
Thank you!
I’m from WI and moved to Texas year and a half ago. After almost 40 years of winter, I’m now looking forward to my 2nd southern, SUPER easy winter. ☀️
To start you need a winter coat. I live in Madison, I have dealt with the cold for 79 years. You have not experienced sub zero temps yet.
Haha thanks. I do have a good winter coat, but I forget to grab it a lot

Haha thank you! I didn't realize how cold it was until I got out there
the winter in us is amazing + difficult in same time 😍😍🇺🇸
Put a hat on, much of your heat is lost through the noggin. Winter caps with pom poms on top are overpowered but not as much as the ear flaps caps. 😆
Good advice
Young lady where are your mittens, hat, scarf and uh coat!?
Also yes, frozen hair does break off.
Haha it wasn't supposed to be that cold! Oh good, now I don't have to do the experiment myself lol
This is just awesome. Check out Laura Vitale’s Amazon storefront. She has some nice looking fleece lined leggings listed.
Thank you! There are so many out there, and it's hard to know where to start
@@TheChristianna321 Not only does it freeze but if frozen hard it will snap off when touched.

You need a jacket 😂
You're just living a backwards life. You see northerners move south, southerners don't move north. It's this way for good reasons 😂🤣
I'd much prefer a little snow if it means I can get away from southerners lol
@@TheChristianna321 I guess mid-westerners are better. Are you guys mid west? Where is the line. I assume so. Lol
I think Wisconsin is considered Midwest, at least according to the memes
