No, but after watching this KO I will 100% be sure to try it out and utilize it because I am a big kicker in Kickboxing and have solid fast and sharp hands too!
I do, but I slow it down to avoid a knockout to the point where it's just two kicks on opposite sides. But the thought is there .

Glad they fixed the leg kick rule. It was needlessly confusing, especially since leg kicks are big in karate styles like kyokushin

I do kickboxing for 2 months. Last saturday my coach made me spar with a more experienced guy. I got beaten up so bad. My coach said me that I can't "fight" at all and called me an idiot. I felt so bad for it. And now I'm thinking of giving up from kickboxing. What's your advice?
When I say that I want to do a light spar, they say that I'm scared.
Go to a new gym and keep training. You don’t need a coach who denigrates you instead of trying to improve you. Stick with it but find somewhere new.

There's no need for the mma gloves. They should use Karate gloves.
They originally had 6 oz gloves. The change to 4 oz was clearly to get more in line with MMA promotions.
@@honigdachs. Yeah, I agree. They seem to of forgotten its called "Karate Combat", I've never seen ground an pound taught in a Karate class before. I don't like it. Full contact Karate is awesome without any of that. Probably hoping UFC will buy it down the line

Hey gabriel yesterday I got dropped from a liver kick in sparring. We were doing light to the head hard to the body sparring. My sparring partner did a left hook followed by a left body kick. I have seen this combo taught by bas rutten on RUclips but I don't know how to defend it. I was wondering if u could do a video on defending this combo.
How did you respond after the hook? If you stepped back, that might've put you in range for the kick. My first thought would be to respond with a clinch or to circle off. Hope you're doing better 💪
@@gentlemandemon it was a long hook i raised my hand to block the hook but it made my liver open. He wasn't kicking very hard with the liver shot so after 10 seconds or so I was able to get up and resume sparring.
@@kennygrace4335 gotcha, it's a good setup. Then crowding him or a cross down the middle are probably the most viable ways of avoiding the hook while keeping yourself out of kicking range. At least those are my high percentage responses, it'll depend on what your preferences are
Gabriel, or any mma fighters in here, in small gloves (or no gloves) do you count a punch to the forehead as a good punch?
If you knew that a puch would land on the forehead, would you throw it, or you don't think it's worth it?
How much does it hurt your hand to punch someone / get punched in the forehead?
Right now, in sparring, I get punched almost exclusively in the forehead and top of the head, above the ear. Should I worry about the punches to the forehead, or not risking getting punched on the chin is better?
That being said, getting punched full stop is bad for you and it does count on points, so it might be good to work on your distance management and head movement if you're getting touched to the forehead a lot
