    Nobodys saying it but that fucking crew chief was a BADASS MF. To be able to have the presence of mind to pull a man back into the helo, then return fire AND pump the small bit of fluid into the hydraulic system to give the pilot 45-50secs of control oback over the craft is INSANE!!! I remember Neil Roberts on deployment with us back in the mid-90s on the USS Shreveport amphibious assault ship. We had Seal Team four on board for 6 month deployment with us even though he was on Seal Team two. He must have been augmented for deployment with team four. He would always be on the flight deck when we weren't in Flight quarters practicing with nunchucks and martial art movements by himself. I remember him plain as day. He was a real quiet guy who kept to himself.

    In the 2010 video game “Medal Of Honor”,, one of the tier 1 operators you play is a character call sign “Rabbit” who was based on the both SEAL Neil Roberts and CCT John Chapman in the battle of Taka Ghar. Although not 100% accurate, that games campaign was all based around the 2002 Operation Anaconda in the Shah-i-Kot bowl of Afghanistan.

    Where's the "exposure", where's the "truths"? This is a sensitive topic in the communities and the click-bait title is poor taste. You're going to lose respect from people in the know on that one. Hope it was worth it. David is fully aware of all the controversy around ST6/DEV's Britt Slabinsky's MOH. I'm a ''casual" fan of the community, this guy interviews and lives/breathes this stuff so when he pretends to not know if CCT Chapman got the MOH....it is completely disenguine. ALMOST as fake as the click-bait title as there were ZERO "truths exposed" discovered here in the opposing narratives that surround the MOH awards. The fact he used "truths" implies he's fully aware of the controversy. I've forwarded this link to a bunch of people who aren't going to be much a fan anymore.

      @@JJ-fu4by basically NSW refused to, and still doesn’t acknowledge chapman’s MoH. They say it wasn’t chapman on drone footage fighting hand to hand with the insurgents but actually two Chechen rebels in an argument. NSW only agreed to chapman getting the MoH if seal team j look wafer britt slabinski got one too, but slabinski is an actual war criminal who was discharged for admitting killing civilians. Even that is a whole other story. Basically the entire mission in Takur gah was fucked up because the seals wanted be the big swinging dicks ignoring rangers pleas that the mountain (which they had under surveillance for ages) was just crawling with insurgents and that any attempt at taking it would be a huge failure. The seals onboard ‘forgot’ that they had chapman with them and it was only after the rsngers said hey where’s your cct? That they went back for him. The whole thing was a cover up cluster fuck.

    First off let me say thank you to this guy and all of his Bros over at the 160th store. These guys were our primary mode of transportation through Iraq and Afghanistan and you just knew they were going to get you there as safely as they could and they were always going to come get you out. They are probably the most professional and best Special Operations group that we have in the military. That's how good these guys are I feel confident in saying that and I've worked with every Special Operations team in our military from Delta guys to seals to Oda Green Berets MARSOC Marines you know coming from the 75th Ranger regiment 3rd Battalion we get to work with everybody period of which pretty much everybody does across Special Operations. But anyway these guys are phenomenal . But if you are into reading good books the 160th night stalkers book is probably one of the best books I've read on Special Operations groups it goes into amazing detail about how they were put together and all of the missions that they were on and involved in. Anyway Rules of Engagement. To be honest with you the United States is probably the only damn country in the world that abides by any sort of Rules of Engagement. It actually becomes pretty stupid at times when he says you had to be shot at to return fire it doesn't mean just them shooting in the air it had to be effective fire. Meaning round for coming really close to your ass. RLTW 3/75

    Getting so tired of seeing these "exposed" videos about Robert's ridge. The information is all out there. Slab has come clean about his examination of Chapman before the retreat. The drone footage has been available for a long time. The cag guys on the opposing summit have their take well documented. The build up to the mission has been completely broken down and all that went wrong with it. Just feels disrespectful to the guys we lost to keep making videos with these titles. I've read macks book too. Lot of respect for him as a pilot.

    • @wadestipp1833
      @wadestipp1833 3 месяца назад

      There were plenty of tethers, but 1) this happened when they were getting getting ready to egress from the chopper so they might have untethered and 2) in the book "Roberts Ridge" one of the pilots or crew members mentioned that SEALS often did not tether during any phase of flight. He also said they sometimes broke out the rear windows for better visibility, but it was too cold that night.

      @@innaminute523 While we never should have been in Iraq we accomplished the mission. We got Saddam and toppled his military. The civil war BS and all the insurgency we dealt with never shouldve happened because we shouldve just left instead of worrying about rebuilding, establising a transition gov't, etc. Same in Afg. We took out the Taliban in a few months and eventually got Bin Laden but then had to sit there and coddle the shit trained trops of the new democratic gov't when that aint our problem or job. Notice we got worse when we started worrying about "hearts and minds" instead of search and destroy. Vietnam was going well until '67 when we started getting worried about public perception back home since that was the first war where video was airing in almost real time or short order and its been that way ever since.
      And had Trump not all but disregarded the Doha agreement his own state dept worked out for complete US withdrawl by may 2021 we would have been able to exit Afg properly and smoothly but despite the Taliban warning that if we werent gone by then they would resume attacking US personnel (hence the bombing during the evac) Trump and his hubris didnt take them serious (or figured if they did he would just restart active fighting) and just pissed away the 15 months he had to evacuate everyone so Biden was stuck having to try to get thousands US personnel and over 13k Afghans out in just a few months
