Clarification: The names I mention as who people think are Red isn't me saying I know they were there. They've never claimed that publicly to my knowledge. It's simply me noting what many have alleged on Reddit and online. Shipley, I believe, had just gotten to ST6 at the time of the raid.

O’Neil drew the short straw. He’s still a hero that was a badass on Seal Team 6 no matter the entire truth. Stumpf, a hero and role model. A man’s whose opinion I trust. Way to go Red and crew!! What happened to the crew of the helicopter that crashed on the raid and what did they do during the raid?

You denied shipleys involvement in the raid but never denied west and rapier and only said they weren’t the shooter 😮. I knew rapier was there! The way he acted when Andy asked about it was very telling. Crazy how he did a decent amount of podcasts but never mentioned it once. Guys legit

They aren't interested in disclosing "who". Keeping the water muddy keeps the bad guys guessing. Not smart to try and push forward on the subject.. Your "get Rob and Bissonett" in a room idea was not a thoughtful suggestion. If they want it to come out 20 - 30 yrs from now when they are old n gray .. That is their choice.

Nope.Thế killer is a Kruger super soldier CIA assassian who has used the name Charlie Sheen while working in Yemen. He has however worked as a stuntman on the Seal Team tv series twice ánd some ỏther stuff including the movie Guardian.Ironically he was an actual rescue diver on Deepwater Horizon.Super soldier security guards once had to hold him back during an altercation with Jeremy Piven on the set of Entourage as Jeremy had no idea he was talking to an actual veteran of the Battle of Mogadishu.Jeremy did however sincerely âpologize afterwards thanking him and expressing what an hỏnor it was to meet him and film Blackhawk Down in which he responded "gotcha, hey you don't have any blow do you?"He also helped locate Saddam Hussein and was the one who actually hưng him.Oh he's also the one who located and shot Muammar Gaddafi.

I’m 60 years old and have no direct knowledge of what happened, and I don’t really care. DEVGRU went in and conducted the mission, they accomplished the mission and they all got out safely. Rob and Matt, they tell different stories and only the 4 that were in that room know as absolute fact. I’m just glad they, along with Delta, are out there and are on America’s side. They are all heroes whether you personally like them or not, it’s easy to judge from afar, but in the heat of battle and the chaos that comes with it, 4 guys saw it from 4 perspectives and they know only what they saw. I thank them all for their valor and their service!

You can't have 4 different perspectives, especially with tier 1 operators who process information in a split second. They all know exactly who killed ubl. The Obama administration put out a narrative that ubl was going for a gun. No he wasn't. I believe Mark Owens account on how it happened. Who killed him he never revealed. I don't really care, but how it happened needed to be told.

When the Rangers went in to rescue Marcus Luttrell, an RRD team had already been there and gone, not only that they killed the insurgents that ambushed his team and set a trap and killed their reinforcements that were coming to their aid, they're like ghosts.
One of the Rangers that was on the team that picked up Luttrell was being interviewed on a channel like this, when he was ask if he knew anything about the RRD team that'd gone in there he said "Who knows about those guy's, they just come and go and you'd have no clue they were even there, I really couldn't tell you anything about that".

As an ex military guy myself, I can tell you that the military covers up shit all the time! There are many reasons they do this. For example, if mistakes are made, they can cover that up. If they want to create a diversion, there will be a cover up. If they want to protect a person, team, or individual, they will cover shit up. Now I must say, before I go further, I am in no way attached or affiliated with an SF groups. Many years ago, I was attached to an SBU unit. I will leave it at that. What I BELIEVE to be happening here is that "red" was protected as he stayed in the teams well after the incident. There is no way he could have his name go public and stay in the teams. Next, Rob got out right after. Rob got out in '12. Next, due to the profile of this, someone had to take credit. The public would not just let it go without having "someone" to hold up high. I do NOT believe it to be stolen valor as some have suggested. Everyone on those teams know EXACTLY what happened. If Rob was actually stealing VALOR, don't you think for a moment that he would be discredited almost immediately???? The government itself gives credit to team 6 and to ROB. Why??? Wouldn't they either discredit Rob or at least say "no comment"??? Guys, in my opinion, this is not about discrediting ROB, it's about covering for someone else ,"red", who does not wish to be identified!

  • @rpjii9771
    @rpjii9771 4 месяца назад +40

DJ Shipley stated in one of his videos that "red" was not even an individual, ANY individual, though a name given to the first man in the stack. He stated that a few times in his discussion. If "red" happened to have had red hair, a red beard, the nickname "Red," etc., according to Shipley, that would have just been a coincidence, as red referred to the #1 stack position, NOT the individual.

Not exactly sure how the seals do this but tactically each person on the team either has a nickname or is given one for the op. IE, I maybe Red on this op but I may have been spanky on the last because I never got a nickname that stuck but this is typically new guys until you get a nickname that everyone agrees to that fits you. Most guys don't get a say in their name, otherwise everyone would choose Reaper or Slayer lol. The reality is Red probably is a sanctified nickname because in a lot of interviews guys have talked about Red as if it is his and has been his nickname. DJ was probably trying to obfuscate the truth of Reds name because he's still active which is what should be done. Tactically it doesn't make sense that any first man in the stack is called Red because point man can change as the evolution of entry room by room changes as the train evolves a new point man throughout this evolution as you the point man engages he follows his shots into a room where the number 4 man may now continue the train and become point man to keep moving. You don't get stopped at one room. This would create confusion on the radio "is red Dan or Mike right now?" No Red is Red, Dano is Dano, Spanky is Tommy the new guy that got caught making shower babies on his first day😂.

I've watched all his interviews, and now he's settled down to one main version of events. But before, every time he gave an interview, there were wide differences between each one. And now, O'Neil has been labeled persona non grata, not allowed to attend reunions and other team events. That says everything you need to know about O'Neil's version of events. When you get shunned and ostracized by your former teammates, that's the most damning evidence against you that can be. It's taking credit for something you didn't do, it's along the same lines but not as bad as the stolen valor douchebag.

I know a guy who was with two guys, who talked to a Reporter and they all more or less agree with some, if not all, but definitely not most of the facts surrounding the initial shooter that killed Osama Bin Laden. Appreciate your efforts to provide clarity. The last person I would take as most informed is a Reporter that was neither there nor experienced with this level of Special Ops. Most important thing is it was “Red, White & Blue!”

As far as I'm aware from stuff out there that's the truth. If you read NO EASY DAY Keith's alias is "Walt". He has a Silver Star like everyone else on the raid and apparently has a back injury from a helicopter crash. He was in the same copter as Bissonnette (Prince 51), which crashed at the compound. Like I said Matt Cubbler is the guy who threw his name in the stack order. Brent Tucker(former SFOD-D) has confirmed the stack order as RED, BISS, KEITH, O'NEILL. What's interesting about this is Keith Walawender was actually a candidate for a while of who RED might be because Keith is particularly short and RED is known to have a "Unique build". So he stood out as an obvious choice. But David's claim it has to do with the Red Beard coupled with details about the stack have completely tossed Walawender out of the running. @@KevinWood44

I really really dislike it that the code for operations like this is that you don’t take credit for anything personally even if your rifle fired the fatal shot. And if any credit is to be given at all to an individual then it is given by that persons team leader. At the very least by another team member.
Humans have a very common characteristic of being arrrogant, prideful, and just full of ourselves in general. We’ve all heard people in our lives who tell us just how great they are and all the great things they have done. And it is all we can do to not turn around and walk away from them. Since the tendency is to talk about ourselves it is really rare to hear someone talk about someone else in a way that gives credit. Especially if not prompted to do so. By a superior of some kind.
So we have the fact that people have worked through situations with their own mind, and they judge themselves based upon their intentions and find favor for themself anywhere they can get it. You subsequently just never put a great degree of weight when someone tells you a story about themself. If you add the fact that a person has an interest in telling this story like financial gain, then you are looking at something that is most usually just untrue and making it much more likely to be untrue.
It is disappointing to hear that a member of Seal Team Six decided to dust his buddies and put out a narrative that he himself pulled the trigger that brought down the most notorious target in the world. It is further much more disappointing that there’s more than one trying to take credit for it.
I listened intently to the first guys story with the idea that it was manufactured and I wasn’t let down. In one part of the story he mentioned that he had taken the shot and it was all done and he sat there almost losing touch with reality for some reason. He claimed he had to ask another guy a question regarding the mission because he just forgot or something. And his buddy made some ridiculous comment about him just killing the #1 most wanted and then some generic phrase like “drive on” or “just another day at the office,” or some crap like that.
I’ve been in combat as an infantryman and spent 27 month in Iraq in active. Combat on the West side of Baghdad. In fact, I was on my second tour of duty at MND-B headquarters when Saddam was executed. Never seen an infantryman lose it in a daydream or whatever like you see in the movies and that was just a regular line unit. This dude claimed he just didn’t remember the mission the moment after he shot Bin Laden.
It’s just so highly unlikely and stupid that Nobody has any business believing him at all. He should know better than to come on the news doing this. Then to not only have none of his team members corroborate his version of events, they actually tell conflicting versions of the same story. O’Neill turns out to just be the first guy of several to break the unwritten rule of taking credit for stuff that was accomplished as a team. It’s actually disgraceful. I have no idea why people have allowed him to go so far down this road. It drags the whole reputation of Seal Team Six through the mud. Might be Delta 6 though I don’t remember. I am commenting as I am watching the video and I haven’t thought of this case in several years now.

This reminds me of the book 22 of the Iliad. “The death of hector” after Achilles slays him by driving his spear through the fleshy part of the neck inside the collarbone. Hector doesn’t immediately die but tries to negotiate with Achilles to send his body home and not let the dogs eat him at the ships of the acheans. Achilles wasn’t having it and when he passed away, all of the acheans came up to hector and gave him a fresh wound, saying “it is much easier to handle hector now than when he was flinging fire on our ships!”

Question: If multiple people shoot a single target, at what point would the target be considered as "dead"? Is there a battlefield-quantifiable measure such as heart beat, breathing, or anything of that nature?
