Agree. From start to finish IDK if any band/album other than Fleetwood Mac - Rumours had a more stacked album. These 2 albums are like a "best of" album. Boston - Boston doesnt have one song that doesnt hold its own.
Absolutely Blown Away by this album when it came out!!!!...played it like a million times...still love every song!!!! Still crank it up every time I play it!!!!!

The more the years pass, and the more the "auto-tuned", tapioca style junk that gets blasted out into the world... the more people should appreciate the years between 1967-1983... for the everlasting great music that was created in that era.
Thank you Tom Scholz.... For having the vision... and for pouring years and years of your heart and soul and imagination and talent into these songs. You can't live forever... but music like this most definitely will. As long as there is a thing called rock and roll in this universe there will be Boston songs playing somewhere... until the end of time.
@@lonewarrior1549 we had a place called 40 acres we had weekend keg parties hanging out listening to music with high school friends were the best times👍
And no freaking cell phones. People actually talked to each other. 1979 high school graduate. The 70s were the greatest era of rock music and it isn't even close.
This album came out the year I started engineering school. My dorm neighbors started playing it and I was hooked. Who knew that 46 years later this song and this music would still be so damn good! With the advent of RUclips documentaries, I have a profound appreciation for the creative wizardry of Tom Scholz.
Because its a TRUE LOVE SONG WITH REAL FEELINGS AND TOLICS IN THE LYRICS.....EVERYONE CAN RELATE TO IT ! IT'S REAL.....SOMETIMES THE TRUTH , THE REALITY HURTS !
My very first cassette tape was of this album. I played it and re-played it so much the audio became a garbled mess. As many have said… this is one of the best songs on the album. An album that has no bad songs. Saw them live in 2002 and it was a dream come true for a kid born 30 years too late to have seen them in their prime.
However, most the Boston band members had left by 2002 and if you saw them in 2002, which was when they released their corporate America album, it was most likely just Brad delp and scholz. Still really cool that you got to see Boston live. Unfortunately, I never will be able to.
I'm a lifelong musician and have heard this song 9 million times (once for each track), but I just heard something I never heard before in the 2nd chorus. Such an awesome recording.
It's 2024. I began listening to this album in 1983 during a summer job in a campground in Cape May New Jersey. I still love it. I consider it one of the great soundtracks of my life.
This song had once described what I once conveyed to a girl I loved years ago.... I loved this song since I first heard it, back in 1976, and I still love it to this very day. The entire album is nothing short of fantastic! Same with the second album. I had seen them for their 1979 tour live! It was awesome 😎👍🏻. RIP Brad Delp, and Sib Sheehan.... Both amazing musicians!
Why doesn’t this tune get more love? I know it still gets played on classic rock stations…but it deserves to be considered one of the greats. This MIGHT be in the top 10 pop rock tunes from the 70s and that’s a deeeeeeep bench.
I remember being at parties when this came out. Somebody would ask " what album do you want to play now "? Someone would say "Boston". "Which side "? "Side 2 then 1".
I play this for my fiancee. ROBERTA but she doesn't understand the meaning. She's a Mexican- American. English speaking but thinks its just noise. I plan on marrying her. I am 72 and never get tired of them either
I was 16 in 1976. I was cranking this album on 8 track tape. Driving around town in my 1971 elcamino SS black and gold.
I am 63, and I just love the sound..
61 n yes
I’m 64 years old and I listen to Boston at least once a day.
There are many different types of rock music, then there's Boston. Boston was/is truly one of a kind.

How about ELO Out of the Blue? Or Rush? They had some stacked albums. Foreigner 4 pretty well stacked. Chicago as well. Journey a few stacked albums.
Damn,you're right.
ABSOLUTELY AGREE
and this one surpassed them all IMO. 47 years and still not tired of this except MTF anyway@@glennfromel5711
Music of my youth!! That first Boston Album is Glorious!! Why are they not in the Rock in Roll Hall of Fame!!
Boston is a very underrated band and it amazes me they aren't in the Rock n Role Hall of Fame.
The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame is gay. I don't care who is or isn't there.

ABSOLUTELY WITHOUT A DOUBT. EARLY BOSTON WAS JUST SO GOOD NO MATTER WHAT SONG IT WAS.
When I was younger, I thought I could stand on my own
It wasn't easy, I stood like a man made of stone, yeah, yeah
But there was something about you (I really want you to know)
Brought a change over me (girl, it's starting to show)
I've got this feeling inside
Got to have you, have you
Ain't no good to hide
It isn't easy to show
What I'm feeling inside, girl
It isn't easy, I know
When you believe in a man like me
When I get angry, I say things I don't wanna say
I really mean it, I don't wanna leave you this way, yeah, yeah
I couldn't help my reaction (I couldn't want you to know)
I lose control over you (I don't want you to know)
I've got this feeling inside
Got to have you, have you
Ain't no good to hide
It isn't easy to show
What I'm feeling inside, girl
It isn't easy, I know
When you believe in a man like me
Hey, hey
But there was something about you
It brought a change over me
I've got this feeling inside
Got to have you, have you
Ain't no good to hide
It isn't easy to show
What I'm feeling inside, girl
It isn't easy, I know (to believe in a man like me)
Like me
Can't you see
I've gotta, gotta have you
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah
But there was something about you
Yeah, there was something about you, ooh

This whole album and their second album are classics. Not a single bad song on either album
Boston was my dad's favorite band. Extremely grateful he raised me on this music.

I think Brad is criminally underated as a vocalists! He's a perfect tenor range for a wide variety of song styles. I'm obviously jealous 🙄

The Taming of the Shrew... Shakespeare
By 1977, all of the album’s other tracks had been played to death, so this one became my last “favorite song” on the record.
The beginning of the song wow , just beautiful
Classic opening, riff.
Can this song be any more "In-tune"? Perfection.
