    Boston had more hits on their debut album than most bands have in 4 albums. Hands down best debut Rock album of any rock band period !

      I wish i could go to a Boston concert. I grew up to my grandparents listening to them and it just amaze me the talent is amazing. Brad Delp was my fave. He’s got the most beautiful pristine tone without even trying.

      Dude, Tom Sholz played every instrument recorded on this entire album besides the vocals and some drum parts. He triple tracked guitars, keyboards, bass, plus invented the overdrive unit used for the "Boston" sound. He is an M.I. T. grad. A damn genius. I am not in any way trying to be a prick, I am just blown away everytime I hear this .

      seen them 13 times from 79-88 lived in Madison Wi. if they came within 300 miles i was there. whats amazing is my lack of appreciation for the opening bands. We would listen to 1 or 2 songs and go back to the drinking area.

      I remember that concert. I didn't go but some friends of mine went and told me about it. I was going to college down there at that time. I saw a few concerts at the Sportatorium.

      Saw them a few times. Once in Expo @ Sacramento, "Smokin" hot day, Fire dept was spraying the crowd for cooling. I dont remember all the line up but I do recall George Thorogood, maybe J Giles? My date passed out from heat and brownies.
      What a show !!!

    The bass line pulse and drumming is wonderfully dynamic! It's a crime that Boston isn't in the R&R Hall of Fame! At 2:40 the synthesizer sounds like all-encompassing cathedral sounding dirges. No group even comes close to Boston.

      Cant believe they never made it in? Thier sound was so innovative, album is all hits. Raw deal for them..watched a documentary on Toms ride of life super interesting person. Smart as a whip.

    16 in 1976 from Boston, huge rock fan, these guys had some great songs, they scheduled a concert at Boston garden that sold out quickly, so they added a 2nd show, same thing, they ended up playing 4 shows in a row and there were still people trying to get tickets.

    Hammond B3 through a Leslie double rotating speaker. I had that setup and dragged it to every school dance and VFW club between Bismarck ND and Anoka MN from 1974 to 1980. It had under lit keys!! 300+ pounds of gear. Awesome times.

      I've now got my first bmw x3. If I had this car/ suv then ...oh wow. My first was a 76 Chevy monza 2+2 262 v8. Still no slouch lowered 2 inches. It straightened corners. On dunlop gt qualifier tires. White letters too😁

    I still have a pair of Realistic Mach 2 speakers from 1982 and the sound incredible on the open hardwood floors with music like this.

      I've got some US-made Technics SB-CR33's from the 90's (hand-me-down from one of my uncles) with 10-inch drivers, and yeah... barking mad amazing, these. Especially when paired with the 100 watts per channel JVC receiver that powers 'em.

      I have a vintage pair of Leak sandwich speakers that are so old they were sold as singles. Consecutive serial numbers. God this still sounds amaising. :-)

    I attended a Boston indoor concert in Biloxi, MS. in 1980, as I was in the Air Force, Killed it, Brad Delp was amazing as was the whole band. Been 44 years, Still loving this band as they will go down as one of the greatest of all times! $9, not like today, $5000 for any concert, Miss the good days!

      I know. Concert tickets are insane. Aerosmith tickets were $200 for 2. Me and my mother wanted to see them but they just retired. We would’ve seen them in January

    Was put onto Boston while at a record store in Manhattan. Am I ever glad that happened! Some really rockin' Rock and Roll for sure.

    Tom Scholz is a genius and a perfect guitarist. 🎸Brad Delp was the perfect voice for Boston. The whole band was.

      I wish i could go to a Boston concert. I grew up to my grandparents listening to them and it just amaze me the talent is amazing. Brad Delp was my fave. He’s got the most beautiful pristine tone without even trying.

    Back in the 70's in Ottawa Canada, me and some friends had tickets to see Jeff Beck. He had to cancel and some band named Boston, who had just released their debut vinyl, took his place. I'm sure it was a great show. 😎😎

    I just listened to Rock and Roll Band and this is the next song on the album, so had to hear this. I had a copy of the LP when it was out at the end of 1976. (Yes I'm old, 61 to be exact, :)

    Saw them in 77 in Greensboro when I was 19. They were so loud I couldn't tell one song from another. Just happy to have been there though. Spent those summer days listening to Boston and tokin' up while cruising. Great times!
