Right there with you. On a slightly different genre, iron maiden had a similar sound with their guitars in the years following this, even though that was a heavier style of music. But they probably got some influences here.
The songcraft here is just flawless. Using the harmonies sparingly in the first chorus allows the second chorus to blow you away with full harmony all the way through.

Happy Heavenly birthday today, Brad Delp. I hope you found your peace of mind. Your death was the saddest day in music for my generation. Rest in peace of mind.
I'm still devasted. I almost killed myself the exact same way Brad did o. That very day. 03-09-2007. Rest In Peace Bradley Edward Delp! 06-12-51 03-09-07
❤
I have to thank GTA V for introducing this song to me. I love a lot of classic rock, but the arrangement and especially the guitar solo easily makes this my favorite classic rock song above so many other legendary classics.
That's awesome. The power of video games-exposing us to art we don't know about.
Every song on Los Santos Rock Radio is great. Whoever picks the songs for the radio stations sure knows some good tunes.
Can u name me the other legendary songs, please? Because I'm new into Rock'n Roll...
@@resadkarabudak1676 I listened to a lot through video games so a good bulk of what I listened to is from the following:
Kdst from GTA San Andreas
The Mix from Saints Row 2
Los Santos Rock Radio from GTA V
Guitar Hero 2/3
Need for Speed Underground 2 (for a couple)
Tony Hawk Underground
@@resadkarabudak1676 Here’s some to get you started Gimme Shelter by Rolling Stones, Run through the Jungle and Fortunate Son by Creedence Clearwater Revival, Paranoid by Black Sabbath.
This is the theme of my life. Worked, raised kids, cared for my elderly mother. Lost everything but GOD
--yes---GOD gave the band BOSTON a very, very lot of talent---Do you believe too-that GOD gave some USA guitarists a heavenly spark ?,appreciated suerongey --
That's beautiful. You're a good person
You are not alone.
This is probably the best song I've ever heard , no joke .
Yee
You have good taste, my friend, very good taste.
Shirley you'd be joking.
xcellent taste in music you have...let it continue.
There is just something so ethereal about those harmonizing guitars at the end.
I completely space out when I listen to that last 1 minute fade out, it’s like I transcend to another dimension, nothing else does that to me. That part and the entire song in general is the best piece of music I have ever listened to.
@@Journxy27 100% agree. So underrated
Listen to the rendition of Lexington lab band to hear their guitarists give this song some dynamite sound. Absolutely stunning. Their ladies harmony is really class
Right there with you. On a slightly different genre, iron maiden had a similar sound with their guitars in the years following this, even though that was a heavier style of music. But they probably got some influences here.
One of the greatest songs of all time well done Boston
it really is.
Seen them in Atlanta, Nashville and Boston. 71 yo but my all time favorite band. Been rocking with them since the first album. RIP Brad.
What year did you see them in Atlanta? I'm a local boy and a huge Boston fan so I love hearing about stuff like that. 😊
When I listen to Boston, even God can hear it!!
I just realized the spaceship is a guitar
Same.
holy shit lol
@@nicholasbooker5660 bass... guitar... a bass... guitar... bass guitar
BRO, you telling me this is about to give me a brain aneurism
Shit, you’re right.
My kid knows good music 🥂
While everyone plays More Than a Feeling...I always bump Peace of Mind.
The songcraft here is just flawless. Using the harmonies sparingly in the first chorus allows the second chorus to blow you away with full harmony all the way through.
Happy Birthday Brad! One of the greatest singers to ever live. Suicide gets the best of us. Stay strong brother. May you rest in peace.
Hell yes you said that wonderfully r.i.p brad always wanted too see em concert awesome
One of the best - recorded albums of all time! Superb engineering.
Not only Boston's best, but one of the greatest songs ever recorded. Instrumentally, vocally, arrangement, message -- superb in every conceivable way.
Favorite Boston song. Loved this band ever since my Dad introduced me to them as a kid, now I'm almost 33 and still rocking out to Brad Delp and the boys. RIP LEGENDS NEVER DIE.
the song ur dad showed u when u were a lil kiddo in his truck on a summer day (edit: my dad is dead) love to all my fatherless homies
Too bad i didnt have a dad.
OMFG YES!!!!!!! My dad and I headbang to Boston to this day. I'm now 26.
Yep
Golem Golden here’s a 🍪
I was 14 when my dad tried to teach me how to drive. I was in drivers seat and him next to me headbanging to Boston. I couldnt appreciate it at that moment but man i appreciate the memory now that im 27!!
Unregrettably one of the greatest albums of all time
I like the bass on this song 😊😊😊
Heard my dad playing this on the electric guitar and was like “DAD IM PROUD OF YOU”

It's should be the other way around he probably been listening to this before you were born.
One of those albums you can play end-to-end, over and over, and not get tired of it.
True dat for 47 yrs.
And I do.....regularly
In my humble opinion this could be the best song of all time
I believe it!
Agree 100%. This song is the reason I became a musician!
My Dad got a LOT of albums from the '70s from a friend or something.... when we moved into our new house in '80-81, our great room was filled with everything from Dire Straights, to Eagles, Steely Dan, Fleetwood Mac and this album....oh my the memories ❤❤❤
I was just listening to money for nothing before this
Peace of mind
One of the most beautiful songs
I love this song, it gives me motivation to keep going
Keep on truckin brother
I was DONE,a few minutes ago and told myself to play this song.I knew it would "keep me going".Damn!
This is real music, this is magic.
gonz lo awesome stuff
gonz lo awesome stuff nothing like today's junk
gonz lo awesome
So fucking true man
2:09 - 2:54 Pure Uninterrupted Instrumental Magic!
My God what a song, what voice, what a band...what a moment in Rock n Roll when Boston invaded the airwaves.❤
They,or I should say he was good too.Alot of people aren't aware that the self titled Boston album was created by one man in his basement. The album was so successful that they realized they had to tour and only then did they put a band together, and the band Boston was born 😤👍
Rest in peace tell me DiCarlo 😔🙏🌹
This is my all-time, 100%, most favorite song from Boston! The guitar solos, vocals, just everything about this record is the epitome of classic rock n’ roll!
I am so thankful my dad raised me to appreciate classic rock like this. I knew what real music sounded like, and now I still listen to it.
I hear that :-)
Same here, i grew up on this stuff. I love Boston!
natasha walters my parents lisned to all that old rock stuff and passed it down to me
SAME. Now I'm 26 with glorious music taste!!!!!!
@@timlegg6181 if that were true, you wouldn't have just called it "old rock stuff". Wtf is wrong with you?
Hey rock and roll hall of fame get your heads outta your rears and put BOSTON in the rock and roll hall.of fame asap ❤🎉😊
They can keep their Hall of Fame.
One of the best guitar "solo" of rock music often unfairly forgotten, but here is this video to claim its place among the best ones.
This song is an ultimate masterpiece!
The riff alone is great!!!
“All I want is to have my piece of mind”❤️
They let you keep the piece they cut out
The vocal harmonies on this track have always blown me away. I remember hearing this as a 4-5 year old on my parents radio and its ALWAYS stuck with me. This song and a couple others. Amazing how the brain works
On the landscape of Rock and Roll, this song stands like a Grecian temple; glamour, perfection, symmetry.
I’ve said this to every track on this album: seriously!! Has there been a bad song on this amazing/ timeless/ and iconic/ band. My answer is a resounding: no. This music will I’m sure outlive us all. Brilliant!!👏👏👏🙏👍
And the amazing vocals were done WITHOUT AUTO TUNE!!
It's true. My mind goes into peace mode, whenever i listen to Boston..
Marquette U....dorm rock out! Miss those days!
oh yea
I was born in 1972. Perhaps my sensitivity to rock music has dulled.
However, every time I listen to their music, I feel inspired.
❤BEST
One of the best debut albums of all time.
To this day, I still can't believe a recording this ambitious and this perfectly-executed was from a debut album - even when it was a band as talented as Boston. I don't believe there's such a thing as *the* perfect track but Peace of Mind is *a* perfect track. One of those precious few tracks that genuinely blew my mind the first time I heard it.
@@Pineappolis Yes, great, great track, and I love the track Foreplay / Long Time too, with the intro. and that build up ... gives you goose bumps. and more than a feeling, rock n roll band, smokin, I mean this album is AMAZING
Whose rockin’ this out in 2022!?
Jesus I think I'm transitioning to rock n roll from hip-hop and country. Did you hear that guitar solo? That's the most inconceivable thing I've ever heard. I have to investigate more of this genre.
You don't have to leave hip-hop and country. There's beauty in all forms of music if you know how to listen.
I’m only 19 years old and this is one of my favorite songs
The harmonizing gets me every time
"People livin' in competition
All I want is to have my peace of mind"
That's what we all need right now
To think how many times I held this cover and looked at it while my mind flew on Brad's voice into the vastness of rock and roll space! I guess I passed by the ships too quickly to notice that they were guitars! Still loving Brad's voice after all these years! 67 years old and still flying! ❤
I was playing gta 5
This song was playing on radio
I really liked it
I’m surprised I still remember the name

Boston still lives on!
This song was like a best friend I never had back in high school... complete lyrics was exactly what I was thinking when I started looking ahead on life.
I just want to be free and be a good man for the rest of my life...God Bless You all Boston people, what a band WHAT A SONG!!

I challenge anyone to put in your earbuds and listen to this entire album. Tom Sholtz mastermind as a lead guitarist and engineering made ordinary music eternal.
