If I remember correctly Evelyn, Steve Perry was named as having the "Golden Voice of Rock and Roll", back in the day. After growing up in the 1980's and often revisiting several of my favorite (at the time of course) Journey songs over the decades, I really must agree with you. Steve Perry definitely had the best, most unique, and most musical voice, as the lead singer of Journey. I just wish that the band members could have gotten along better with each other. I understand the infighting that happened amongst Journey's band members most likely prevented the band from releasing a lot more awesome music/songs over the years. Regardless, I am 100% grateful for what Journey did release and their performances, at the end of the day were great as well. Fred

This IS one of Journey’s finest songs, ever! This song is relevant to anytime any place in America (because of certain phrases) but everyone can relate! The groove is killin’. The instrumentation and performance is outrageously excellent with melodies and a strong chorus that begs for your sing along!
