This is the shortened version lol
Wolfnews 17 by a lot
@@MrYoungangler and they themselves cut video even more...
That's why its called dragon force
"Dragonforce is the Globetrotters of metal" hahaahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahha
Uhh, no. They just play very fast (and the guitarist cant pull it off live), theres much more technical shit out there than shitty Dragonforce.
@@wowno5763 metalheads complaining about music made with computers meanwhile dragonforce is as fake as it gets
Dragonforce is garbage
Ignore the three idiots who just commented, Dragonforce is amazing mostly because the two guitarists who founded the band are just dicking around. That's all this is, this whole band is them showing off, and THIS is what they produced. People without talent mock those that do out of jealousy.
You know, describing Dragonforce as "a lot of a lot" is actually a great way to put it. Every member of the band is incredibly talented and they push themselves and their instruments to the absolute limit in every single song. It sounds amazing for the first couple times and you feel super pumped, but getting through an entire album is a mind melting experience. Still, they're really popular as far as metal bands go, so they definitely do have their audience and I will never diss on their abilities as musicians.
”It’s a lot of a lot.”
Perfect description of all the pausing going on in this video.
How do you react to something you don't let play for more then 5sec... worst reaction I've seen
And skipping half of the song
Yeah I don't thumbs down very many videos but this one got an easy down vote. Like what was already said, they didn't even listen to the song longer than a few seconds at a time. How the hell you going to judge this song without really listening to it or even listening to the whole damn song
just listen to the song if u dont want them to pause it
A lot of people who aren't into rock like that know of them through Guitar Hero 3. The finger destroying song.
Dominic Campbell this is speed metal... Not rock lol
*Devin Notah* Speed metal is a subgenre of Heavy Metal, which is a subgenre of rock. I mostly listen to Hip Hop and RnB/Soul, and even I know that much.
Dominic Campbell well no duh... I didnt say that it wasnt a related to heavy metal... I listen to Metal... Thrash Metal... Nu Metal... I listen to alot of metal... I play guitar and i know the music theory of what i play because its metal... Yea rock is different in a sort but metal... Is just full of that head banging power that makes you move... I studied all the guitar modes and i know what each mode are used for... Im pretty sure i know alot about metal...
For the record, I was using rock in a general sense, as in people who don't typically listen to rock music, or any of its subgenres.
Dominic Campbell alright cool
Cemetery Gates by Pantera in the memory of Vinnie Paul who just died couple days ago.
coyote 5.0 I’ve been asking every day on the videos since VP passed. Keep it going brother!
:S didn't know he'd died. RIP
legendz21 I’m doing my best bro.
Yah I’m hit pretty hard by Vinnie’s passing. It’s been hard.
For the love of God. Enough of the Cemetary Gates requests. That song is all cheese
Dragonforce is Power Metal, which is metal that's fast, hard, melodic, and generally upbeat. So it's less about anger and rage, and more about overcoming trials and being victorious.
A suggestion for you, Falconer--Viddernas Man. Matthias Blad is their singer, and isn't a traditional metal singer. It's also hella catchy.
EDIT:Also, this is the song that got me into Power Metal, but I don't listen to much Dragonforce anymore. I like their melodies, but the drumming, rythm, and guitar always seem like trying to do too much without worrying enough about it all fitting together beautifully. Try instead Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica, Rhapsody of Fire, Hammerfall, or Sabaton. For something a little cheesy (in the best way) but unbelievably melodic, try Twilight Force
And of course Angra, Helloween, Blind Guardian and Edguy (Avantasia)
Kevin Mayfield maybe Clarion Call or some of their more straightforward power metal songs
Literally the same as me, I started liking power metal cause of this song but im not as much of a fan of dragonforce.
Love Stratovarius, Sabaton and Sonata Arctica though.
Also there and back again from twilight force is a masterpiece to me
"It's a lot of a lot."
You just summed up Dragonforce's entire discography in one sentence.
"A lot of a lot", and "Harlem Globetrotters" was a perfect analogy.
DragonForce - "It's a lot of a lot." - George, 2018
I'm not a Dragonforce fan at all. But then power of this song is in its hypnotic ability. Pausing and talking kind of messes that up.
I realize that's the whole point of the channel, but I'd recommend that you give is one more listen and just allow yourselves to zone out while it's playing.
Don't know anything else with em really, but i kinda dig the energy in this song.
@@decay79 If you can get past the cheesiness in the lyrics and the vocals, they just sound good. I have Dragonforce on my once in a blue moon playlist when I just want some seriously fast power metal. Give Operation Ground and Pound a listen. It's a lot like this song, but I like it more because it's less played out in my opinion.
@Jeeses99 Agreed. I wouldn't be as harsh about it, but I never known why they get so much hate.
@Jeeses99 wtf, I love them now!
Lyrics cringey sure, but ZP is not a bad vocalist in my opinion
The vocals are what make this song Power Metal. For years, Iron Maiden has done the same thing with fast complicated music and slow but grand vocals of fantasy and historical lyrics.
Pantera - Cemetery Gates
R.I.P Vinnie
Dragonforce is power metal, which is known for being cheesy and over the top, and they're one of the cheesiest and most over the top. It's part of the appeal, because it is silly and fun. There's other bands in power metal that are more serious and focused on good songwriting and such. If you're interested, I highly recommend Blind Guardian, perhaps Valhalla, Mirror Mirror, or Into the Storm.
Mirror Mirror is probably the best choice
I agree with you guys mostly. The very 1st time I heard the song I remember thinking it wasn't all that as a song, but some badass guitar. However, I can say years later, not only does it have its place, it will grow on you. It's very epic, play this the next time you're at the gym or gaming (assuming you guys game at least somewhat) for that it's fantastic. Not easy listening but should be on the pump it up the playlist in my opinion.
You said everything I feel about this song! Thank you! Metalhead who loves your channel
The problem with this is that you picked the wrong video where a lot of the parts of the song are cut, thats why some transitions sound so bad
bigdeuce66 the original DF song lasts 7:25 or something like that, this one lasts 5. You can see it's not them skipping parts, because there is no cut.
@@mateogomez4997 Yeah, only the reaction dudes were skipping ahead.
@@V-Revan-V They were skipping on this video, but the music video version of the song is quite a bit shorter than the album version.
@@mateogomez4997 but you can watch the timestamps on the video in the video. It jumps from :56 to 1:27 so you can tell for sure, THEY cut it.
@@mateogomez4997 It's actually the official video for the song. They used the radio edit version that lasts 5 mins (I guess because shooting a video is expensive, so if you already have a shorter version of the song recorded, why not pick that one for the video ?
You can find it on the official DF YT channel :)
ruclips.net/video/0jgrCKhxE1s/видео.html
I know that these guys had to cut it for copyright, but they did not manage to get the good timing between the music track, the video and their reaction video/soundtrack when they edited :/
Hardest song on Guitar Hero 3 😂💯
Kameron Owens for real.. you were the coolest kid in your class if you could hammer the whole beginning
omfg lol
🤣🤣🤣
Listening to this is giving me Guitar Hero PTSD
i saw Kamerons comment and remembered that I left my friends house after he forced me to play this song on guitar hero. havent talked to him since
The last question I ever expected to hear from a hip hop head is "who would win in a play off, dragonforce or dream theater?"
Sheer tech DT. Prog>power metal
dragon force is a 9 second 100m
dream theater is is a 10 second 100m, hurdle, while juggling... knifes
Iced Earth - Dracula
By the way, Dragonforce is just over the top all the time. They're also known for long song time lengths.
Love that song! Hahaha
"It's a lot of a lot." New T-shirt slogan!
McNooch83 i would buy that
I agree it is a lot. But I saw both DF and Dream Theater live in the past year and DragonForce turned me into a fan. Amazing showmanship. Sooo much fun.
amon amarth-twilight of the thunder god
CptJUDO J yes! They picked the shittiest amon amarth song and havent done any since
I'd love to see a reaction to Twilight of the Thunder God!!!
I love the guitar solo of this song. I watched them live last year, to check their skills live.
I almost did this song on hard in Guitar Hero 3 and Rock Band 3...It can ruin your fingers on a plastic guitar..hehe
Skillful ain't the word for these guys. These guys have insane talent. Wish I had a quarter of their talent. I'm a guitar player. So this is one of my favorite songs to listen to
Pantera- Cemetery Gates
Alice in Chains- It Ain't like That
Cliffs of Dover - Eric Johnson!!!!!
Yes! Especially the Austin City Limits version!
Brilliant song
I'll definitely go for that vote :). The Austin City Limits version may be too over the top for the guys, but at-least they can watch him play it ;).
Hell yes...this is odd, Lost In Vegas may have the most civil comment section on the internet lol
Excellent song...good recommendation.
7:58 My guy on the left is so fast he had time to fix his hair in the middle of a solo 😂😂
I love your guys reactions Haha new years eve. Drinking alone. And I'm just watching your videos. Happy new years guys. 🤘
Soothsayer - Buckethead. Time for a mix of technique and musicality.
I think they would love Buckethead!
Definitely second this!!
Exactly
Dragonforce in the comments can't seem to take the fact that someone doesn't find this good music.
Buckethead, (who i don't listen to actually because its not my kinda music but I can appreciate what he does ) makes good music with all the guitar skills any of these people would wanna jizz over.
Yes. This.
They are not ready for that song. Soothsayer is a song that will change the way you see a guitar and music in general
You want Symphonic Metal? Go for Nightwish. Specifically, Ghost Love Score, Poet and Pendulum or Shudder Before The Beautiful.
Florian S. I second The Poet and the Pendulum and Ghost Love Score. Seven Days to the Wolves is also primed for a good reaction.
100% and I would always vote for a live version with Floor
Another phenomenal symphonic metal band is EPICA. Some great songs by this band are "Kingdom of Heaven", "Internal Warfare", "The Essence of Silence" and "Universal Death Squad."
Even Tides of Time is an insanely beautiful song! But yeah Kingdom of Heaven - A New Age would be awesome
This song is about an epic journey of an epic adventure.. that's how I have always taken it.. if u really listen to the lyrics, this song becomes a movie in your head.. it's great, to say the least.. I think it's an amazing song..
I always took it as a song about a completely normal life. We all go through battles and struggles throughout our life, but the misery must go on, and all we can do is keep fighting the good fight. But I guess life is an epic journey in itself, so maybe it's the same thing xD
When he grabs the string like that it definitely really makes that wail sound. That is how they both produce that sound..... Shit is fantastic lol
Pantera - Cemetery Gates
Death - Lack of Comprehension
Slayer - Angel of Death
Metallica - Ride The Lightning
RIP Vinnie
Miguel Rochefort I've been begging for Cemetary Gates for so long.
Don't worry, It's power metal - it's supposed to be cheesy.
When Herman picked up the whammy bar, yes he was actually making a note out of it
I’m a Metal fan, I’m sure I was born to love Rock, Metal, Punk and Golden Oldies from the 50’s and 60’s era. I absolutely love Power Metal. I’ve seen Dragonforce live a few times and they were Awesome, you have to see them to believe it. You guys need to watch Avenged Sevenfold, Helloween, Avantasia, Yngwie Malmsteen, and the French Power Metal Band Heavenly
Power metal is very fast and epic. Power metal musicians are highly skilled. I think if you listen to the song without pausing, you'll get into it better. This band is also really inspired by old video game sounds, I once read. It's not my fave or anything, but I can dig it.
Eh. There's way better songs to get into power metal, imo DragonForce is pure showoff
@@Leon-dl7hf and if you see them live, it becomes very apparent that that they're terrible musicians who rely on studio magic.
@@CripplingDuality you clearly have never seen them live if you thinks its studio magic
@@CripplingDuality really? Then how does the studio magic make it so their bad musicians? Also you don't even have the evidence/proof to back it up. Music is like a bunch of notes put together in a organized way so people can listen and enjoy it. Even if there is a song that just uses studio magic(not referring to DragonForce) doesn't mean the inventors are bad musicians. That's because it takes experience and skill to actually use a studio properly, who cares if someone doesn't know how to play the guitar really well? As long as it sounds good I'm ok.
You guys hit the point of separating skill and good musical composition while disliking something and giving it it's due praise. Or finding something you like but isn't well composed like this song. Great run here
FutileExistence I actually think all the parts fit very well together, I know what is music masturbation but this song isn't imo.
People being overwhelmed by the intensity just aren't into this type.
You guys are GREAT!! Keep it up mane!!!!
I respect y’all, dipping your toes into all types of music but keeping it real with what you think, not just crowd pleasing
It's loved because of Guitar Hero 3, no other reason.
Ian Schroeder correct
Correct non gh players wont ever really feel it like that
Exactly.
It saddens that this is the only Power Metal band that american metalheads know, when there are dozens of Power Metal bands way better than them, that will never be heard by almost anyone...
it's so funny because this is the hardest song in gh, and people think that this then has to be the hardest on a real guitar :D
Yeah this shit was hard to play on Guitar Hero!
Cult of Personality by Living Colour
that fuckin riff, man.
They will love that one!
Hell yeah. Such a great tune.
Perfect song for these guys to react to.
yeaaaah boy
"It's a lot of a lot" . Made my day!
"More is more." Hahaha that's the general idea behind Dragonforce I'd say.
one of my favourite dragonforce songs is Reasons To Live, I love the solo's and instrumental on that!
Helloween - Keeper of the seven keys
Great song to tackle. Yes. The Wammy Bar does make that sound. And they use it just like in that video for that song. However, they broke a string doing that once. This is power metal, yes it is cheesy sometimes. Another example is Sabaton. If you want symphonic metal, try Epica. Any chance Mastodon can get a third chance? Maybe something off the new album?
Sometimes? Most of the time. Power Metal is made of cheese. Awesome cheese.
Gotta be a song like Jaguar God right? I love that one.
Sabaton is fucking awesome though! They need to listen to them!
I think you guys have to stop suggesting the metal elitist songs and present them with Mastodon's commercial songs. They should listen to something from Once More Round the Sun because it is filled with catchy, easy to listen songs. That's what they like at this point in time
Sabaton for sure. Start with Smoking Snakes.
You never thought about the lyrics at all ‘through fire and flames, we carry on’ ! You said you couldn’t get behind but the message I definitely can get behind.
The whammy bar trick Herman li did, he hit a natural harmonic note and then dive bombed it pulling up on the whammy and it vibratos at the end of it from the guitar bouncing a little bit when he catches it at the bottom of the throw
Lol this song... Every metal fan either loves it or it's a guilty pleasure of theirs. Mostly the latter.
"Memento", "Fable', or "The Waterfront" by Intervals if you want high level musicianship that's a little more palatable lol.
Literally laughed out loud at the And1 thing. That's such a perfect comparison.
Ryan, this song is super popular because it kind of became a meme because it was basically the final boss of Guitar Hero 3.
Every metal fan? No, this is little kids video game "metal" it's trash.
Bob Bob I enjoy it with a heavy sense of irony
It's Final Fantasy music
Nicholas Mercado except it totally isn't
It was awesome back in the day playing guitar hero, but after getting into all the most influential bands in the genre, yeah is really not that great and not even too impressive technically
Steve Vai - For the Love of God.
One of the craziest, most insane guitar songs in rock history. Vai plays the song even better live than what it sounds on the record version.
Even better would be Whispering a Prayer
Yes, the level of creativity that man has is insane.
yeah!! specially this live version guys!!! ruclips.net/video/mDZuNM3HmU4/видео.html
Yes please do steve vai. Make sure you watch a live version. His passion shows in his playing.
His worst song
When they said it was too fast and doesn’t sound good I was like wait till you start singing the chorus 😂
They would probably appreciate this song more without the video. The video is distracting them from the music. That's why it seems like "a lot of a lot" to them.
If you're going to do power metal, my friends, you gotta start with the fathers: Helloween.
Box Top .Exactly! Man I hate the fact that they've been introduced to the genre with the worst band! Now I fear they won't like any power metal band at all! Next time I hope they finally check out some Helloween (Eagle Fly Free / I Want Out - to start with)
I usually recommend Keeper Of The Seven Keys by Helloween to see how people react to the different sections and transitions etc.
Those reactions can be very helpful if they want recommendations but you don't know what they are into.
Dream Theatre is a different level. Not even close IMO.
DT actually sounds very good live.
completely different styles not really comparable
Orange Man dream theater can actually play
Dragonforce plays really fast. Their musical theory and use of scales for solos are very basic when slowed down. Dream theater plays with a lot of complex time signatures, musical keys, and understands a lot more about musical theory. Each one of their players are all incredibly talented. Now does that lead to good music? Well that's up for debate.
Dream Theatre is classically trained. They are artistically much better, but as a pure demonstration of technical ability and manual dexterity I think Dragonforce is just a notch above them
you guys are spot on. this is the same thing i've been saying about this song for years. glad to hear someone else come up with exactly the same conclusions.
"I don't know if I like opera in metal"
Ok now you're just pissing me off LoI
Yeah this reaction was trash
Symphonic metal bands can feature classically trained vocalists, in which case they can be attributed nicknames such as opera metal or operatic metal.
It's power metal, power metal is a very over the top genre. Very intentionally.
There was a lot of controversy whether or not they edited this to speed it up because it was so over the top fast and difficult. They really are just that damn good. Sorry you didn't like it.
Jeremy Hanson why did you comment on my comment? I love this song.
Jeremy Hanson why did you comment on my comment? I love this song.
I'm sorry Lost in Vegas didn't like it. I was agreeing with you on the intentionalness
Yeah but this isn't even good power metal. This is attempt to bring power metal into the mainstream. Which worked for about 1 Ozzfest
Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing
chrisbrown667 YES
Yes, DO IT SOON please!!!
Yessss!!!!!
YESSS
The live version!
'A lot of a lot' - perfect description.
That thing in the beginning is an actual guitar trick they came up woth, it’s simply and extreme pinch dive, but they call it the string breaker because they broke the strings when recording the song
Dream Theater - Under a Glass Moon (LIVE) (score)
They deserve another chance damnit. "Pull Me Under" is a good one too.
Up
Seconded. The live score of Under a Glass Moon is absolutely incredible. +1
Joshua Grauman it's definitely one of the better live performances they will see.
Dream theater suck
One more for Under a Glass Moon. It grooves way better than Metropolis, and it has one of my favorite guitar solos
Blind Guardian - Born in a morning hall/Mirror Mirror/Imaginations from the other side/Fly
Great suggestions for starters, I second those.
compared with BG , Dragon"force" are POSERS
Battlefield
Jeffrey DeWeese yeees
Great request. I’d like to see The Curse of Fëanor.
Just saw Dragonforce in concert 4 days ago and they are absolutely awesome live. I'm still new ot the band but had the best time. I'd also suggest checking out a band that was completely new to me and came on just before Dragonforce (there were 4 bands in total); they are called Amaranthe and they rocked the joint. As I said, I had never heard or seen them before Monday night and,at the end, gave them a standing "O". You'll be hearing about them very soon; however, back to Dragonforce who just blew us away with speed combined with extreme skill.
I love the "it's a lot of a lot." I'm using that one going forward. Very nicely put.
Try the band Kamelot if you want symphonic. Songs to listen to are Karma or Farewell
The Haunting is better imo.
@@nicholaslawlor8623 Ohelyeah, The Haunting, but to introduce someone to a band, who may not be in that persons general genre of music, with Kamelot I always start them with Karma, then Farewell. This has gotten dozens of my friends into them.
Even had one message me the other day about the remake of Liar Liar, by Melissa Bonney, which is their Kamelot favorite song.
... and nobody has mentioned DETHKLOK to these gentlemen? You KNOW they would dig the videos AND the music. :)
This is exactly what I was just thinking.
I actually thought about that as I was watching this one.
The dual. Mustakrakish. Murmured
Murmaider
Funny ass show! Bloodrocuted was my fav song from them
This was released in 2005. That was a great review and very honest.
Symphonic Metal
Try... Nightwish, Kamelot, Epica, Within Temptation
Yes! They're all good bands to start with
Kamelot! March of Mephisto
Thank you for commenting that he looks just like Weird Al! I've always thought that myself but never heard anyone else call that out. First time watching y'all, love your style. Sub it up!
He actually does that guitar move live! He has dropped the guitar a few times which is tough considering he plays $3k-5k guitars!
Thunderkiss '65 by White Zombie!!
Agreed. I don't know how crap like this song gets requested so heavily when there are plenty of more worthy songs to be reviewed.
U guys need to do some more Alice In Chains
"Would?"
I'd love to see them react to "Brother". To me, with my own experiences, it is such an emotional song that captivates the soul.
Never interrupt a solo
This song works wonderfully as an alarm though. Wakes you the hell up for sure.
That wammy bar lift is kinda 50/50. I’d be surprised if he did that in the recording but you CAN MAKE THAT SOUND by doing that. Just terribly inaccurate. These guys are so far beyond anything I could do that it’s very possible he does that live. Steve Vai does stuff like that and it always is cool... ALWAYS!!! I’ll not hear anything different :)
thelonelydirector love the line in the middle of one of the songs where someone yells "OK... WE KNOW YOU CAN PLAY!!! SHUT UP!!!" Hilarious way Steve pokes fun at himself
thelonelydirector Herman Li definitely does that trick in their music and live performance. It's all part of the sounds they develop to make their music sound like Nintendo sound effects
thelonelydirector He does this during concerts to great effect, it's not a purely theatrical move.
I've seen them live. He does do that and it works!
That's freakin' sweet :D
Death - Spirit Crusher
kahwigulum a better intro than Crystal Mountain in my opinion
The And 1 analogy is the most appropriate thing ever for bands like this.
I can confirm Herman does that string thing in concert...
Yep, power metal. All about technical ability, dramatic vocals and usually fantasy/we love metal lyrics, hi falutin jamming with a touch a progression.
Dream Theater is more progressive and musically are heAds and shoulders above these guys in composition and arrangement, they are Juliard Guys after all.
Dragonforce and this song got famous for being the “impossible” final song in Guitar Hero 3. Seen em live, fun band but not my big “thing.” Spot on review.
Dream Theater are Berklee guys, except for their current keyboardist, who's a Julliard guy. Otherwise completely agree.
Dream Theater cover a range of themes and compose songs with a purpose. They do have a couple of songs that are in this crazy "look at me play fast" style. But when you dig deep into DT, you find musical Vibranium. Dragon Force feels like musical costume jewelry.
Harmony Wisdom I wouldn’t disagree but it’s a matter of taste. Dragonforce can be a lot of fun. But yeah, musically they’re showmans and not the architects DT are.
Everyone is saying this but you need to hear Blind Guardian. They are powermetal too, but have so much more to offer than Dragonforce which is kinda "one trick pony" tbh. Mirror mirror would be good one to get the idea. Or even Valhalla.
Let's include Demons & Wizards, and Iced Earth while we're at it.
SuperSuppo thank you! Why do people request this crap when theres so much better power metal out there that actually sounds musically good
Alain Leon good question. Probably coz Dragonforce has been this mainstream, well known posterboy of powermetal since the guitar hero game. Don't get me wrong, i don't like hate the band. They have some decent songs here and there and Herman Lee is really impressive fast player. But that's the thing. They are fast and loud. That's unfortunetly it.
Meanwhile bands like Blind Guardian can adapt and evolve. Their music is versatile while having this personal style on it. They can play the most epic and loudest songs ever in history (Battlefield) and also the most silent and soothing pieces (Lord of the Rings).
Dragonforce might be the posterboy. But Blind Guardian is the old veteran whos fame and glory lies in so much deeper.
Ps. Im not saying that all other powermetal bands suck. BG is just the biggest for me and actually one of my old personal guides in journey into the vast landscape that is metal.
Then throw in The Bards Song
Mirror Mirror for sure. Or Bright Eyes are both super accessible
"Hold my beer"
Sam Totman "Nah mate, you hold mine in 5 minutes."
I love the old and 1 tapes. Hot sauce actually came to my town to put on a show and they asked local players to play them and my dad got to guard Hot Sauce.
Symphony X guysssssssss, do Symphony X for the love of God!!
The Odyssey, please.
racewiththefalcons1 maybe start them off with something a little more to the point. Evolution for example.
YES SYMPHONY X!!! I highly suggest something along the lines of Serpent's Kiss or "Masquerade"
The Odyssey is amazing, but a bit of a long format for this channel.
Paradise Lost would be a good intro song, so would Serpent's Kiss.
Most of the Iconoclast albulm is a good place to start
Joe Mokbel That’s What I’m talking about! But which song? They have soooo many good ones
DIMMU BORGIR!
GATEWAYS!!!!
.....you prolly won't enjoy it at all but I wanna see the reacts
It's Agnete's banshee-like vocals that really carries this song.
Dreamside Dominions or Relenquishment of Spirit and Flesh
You gotta check out other power metal bands like Falconer, Hammerfall, Manowar, Powerwolf, Sabaton, etc.
The whammy is a real thing. They have videos of the guitarist that play this teaching people, they say this is how they do it live. Now in the studio it's very easy to make that kind of sound. But live they do that real life
ICED EARTH FOR LORDS SAKE! "DRACULA" BY ICED EARTH!
Yes, yes, yes!! Iced Earth!! Hope they would do Dantes Inferno, but at 16+ minutes long, not sure about that!!
As an introduction to them I would also go with songs from something wicked this way comes like melancholy
Hell ya, Dracula is the shit.
I think they've heard enough metal by now that you don't need to introduce them to the band with the mellow songs. Give them the Days of Purgatory version of Pure Evil, or The Coming Curse, or Ten Thousand Strong, or even something off the new album like Great Heathen Army.
10000 strong would be great
In honor of Vinnie Paul, how about Pantera’s Cemetery Gates?
How you feel about the amount of music coming at you is what my husband would call a wall of sound. Lol
Through The Fire And Flames is one of My All Time Favorite Songs
Pantera - Cemetery Gates. Do this one, please!!!
The greatest song ever
RIP Vinnie
Franco Barbona They've got to do Cemetery Gates though!
Franco Barbona that's weird. Why would they say that
boris29122000 When they went to Phil Ansalmo's FB page it had some rants from Phil about race-mixing. They LOVED the PANTERA song they reviewed but Phil's rants turned them off.
Carolus Rex - Sabaton. Y'all HAVE to react to some sabaton, they are one of a kind
Untitled, hope they do some as well, fellow Texan. I saw sabaton in Houston 2 years ago. Fantastic performance.
I love the lyrics to the song; it's a real fantasy metal song
I've found it quite enjoyable to listen to yalls videos whilst playing League of Legends
Ok so Dream Theater 'vs.' Dragonforce.
Dream Theater really are on a different level technically and musically. When it comes to pure speed, Dragonforce miiight take the cake. But it's all pretty linear and uniform. The solos actually aren't very complex, just lots of notes in a short amount of time.
Dream Theater on the other hand (if you check out the depth of their discography) are Master musicians at pretty much any genre. Much more involved with time signature changes, complex chord structures, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible with combining genres. Basically if you were to write each artist out on sheet music you might have more notes on fewer lines with Dragonforce. But Dream Theater would be much more intricate, dynamic, full of key and time changes, and more complex melodies. Way harder to pull off.
Ruben Vela Both of them are nothing against the technical death metal)
Manowar - Hail and Kill. Come on, do it guys!
Rei dos Vermes Manowar would be awesome....they write better songs and overall smoke Dragonforce
Heart of Steel!
Hail and Kill!!!!!
WARRIORS OF THE WORLD
YES!
I don't know how old this song is, however, it was featured on the PS2 game guitar hero 3 as the end credit song. Also the part where you see the "competition" is nicknamed dueling dragons.
little me in GH playing this song while in my head I was like FUUUUUUUU....
Gojira - Toxic Garbage Island!
The Mars Volta - Inertiatic ESP ... Something way out into left field. Would be great video
My dudes, year long fan here and the Ne Obliviscaris Of Plagueflowers and the Kaleidoscope song was my favorite review of yours. This is what introduced me to one of the most masterful pieces of art I've ever heard. Thank you. Ever since that i promised myself that i would never miss this band live if they came near me. I have not only seen them live now but have purchased all 3 albums instantly after the live performance. They were as close to perfection as I'll ever be witness to. I've been thinking of the perfect song for you guys to react to after this one by NeO. I think i have just the one if you were to listen to only one more which i pray you will want to do more upon hearing this. The song is "As Icicles Fall" off the Portal of I album by Ne Obliviscaris. Thank you for introducing many of us to this spectacle of a band. They are ever growing in their presence within the metal community and one day will be revered as one of the best in modern metal for it is an ever evolving genre.
Btw coming from someone who has been in choir and band they are using 32nd notes which means they're much faster than the actual beat of a song so the lead singer is on beat
