Is it just me or does anyone else get extra pumped listening to these, even if it's a song you've heard a million times before, just knowing these dudes are listening to it for the first time??
Travistotle, that's a exactly the experience I have watching these guys. Who are awesome by the way. I bet that's a large part of the appeal to many of their viewers.
That’s why I like this. Almost everyone I know is familiar with this music to some degree. It’s nice to watch a couple guys experience what I did 30 years ago.
Exactly. It's like remembering your feelings the first time you have listened to it.
absofreaklutely! I love their joy and just appreciate their appreciation of music. It is like listening with new ears!
Absolutely. I’m vicariously hearing it for the first time in ‘86 through them.
This is gold. Seeing people listen to the song for the first time after i've heard it literally a thousand times, its great.
Yeah , true that.I just wish i could listen to it for the first time and listen to it another 20 years. The first impression is planetary big.
I agree. It brings back memories of when I first started getting into Metallica and when I first listened to this album.
Yes
I feel the same reminds me of when I first heard it the goosebumps where crazy
This is great. Lol
Does anyone else wanna hang with dudes and just listen to music? Cool guys man.
Michael Johnson I do
I'd TOTALLY kick it with these dudes. They appreciate some really killer tunes.
I just now, before reading this, left a message on one of their videos telling them that they should hold a contest for the privilege. I’d be so down.
Just found you guys and just wanna say great job hahaha! Looking forward to seeing more. Check out a Lamb of God tune called Ruin.... personally I don't care for the vocal ....but ya can't deny the killer groove ....
Michael Johnson and smoke a blunt
The only, ONLY BAD thing about this album is that YOU CANNOT hear it for the FIRST TIME again in your life. I have SPOKEN.
True. The next best thing is to watch reaction videos of other people hearing it for the first time (some are better than others, obviously...)
true. a life changing album for sure
This is unfortunately the way....
The next best thing is watching someone else's experience
i have spoken, you watched the mandalorian
7:58 - "Oh yeah, this is..."
- "Yeah" - "Yeah" - "Yeah"
James would be proud.
heheah
Lulz
Best comment of the month 😂😂
Yeah
Unappreciated comment :P
If you think it's so good now, image being 15 years old in the mid 80's and hearing it for the first time. No radio stations would play it. Because it was "To Hard"
I was there with you brother.
Went to a concert. Way back in 86. Ozzy it was,,, Metalica opened . Never will forget it. I was 17 years old at the time. I am now 50. I wont stop rocking all night ,, till the lightning strikes again!! Who's with me???
@@michaelbienicewicz2993 metal is the best
Absolutely. Remember listening to it on a walkman in the eighties for the very first time.
I was 13 years old at Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas in 1988 the And Justice for All tour, my second concert... It changed my world.
This is hands down the best metal reaction on the internet
I agree 100%!
WTF is going here? Metal REACTION?
:) is good to know the point of view of non-metallic people :) they really give a good point of view and analysis without feeling the song too much so I know how good my dear metal bands are
ruclips.net/video/J3MaBTVmcsE/видео.html not really metal in the same way but this video is hilarious
Watch their reaction to "One".....it's awesome. I remember my first reaction to hearing that song when it came out, very similar.
It’s Metallica’s masterpiece, literally, their Bohemian Rhapsody. It still blows me away every time I hear it.
Its One for me
Orion for me
Oh yeah, One is stairway to heaven like master of puppets is bohemian rhapsody for thrash. Legendary.
Paranoid Android by Radiohead
AJFA is their masterpiece, MoP was the leadup.
I really like this concept. For us in the Metal community whom has heard this song a thousand times
don't really ponder the transitions and details anymore. Refreshing.
Adam Lundström trueee
Watching someone react to hearing the song for the 1st time just made me appreciate it even more! I've listened to this track countless times, and it's probably my favorite song ever, but after watching this, it still blows my mind and makes me fall in love with it all over again lol.
Agreed
yeah!
was just thinking the same thing.
The intro of "Master" consists of some of the meatiest, heaviest, gravel-chewing riffs ever devised. Absolutely timeless.
This song got me into playing guitar. A crown jewel, indeed.
Andy B lmao same I was starting to get board of playing the same thing then I heard this song picked up my guitar turned on the amp watched a RUclips video and now I already forgot the tabs :/
This song is also the og doom song so it makes it even heavier lol
Me too but it took me two years to ace kirks solo almost and i am only 14 so if you are determined you can do anything
To me Puppets is Metallica's masterpiece.Every fuckin second of it.
Chris Harris I am 13 I forgot about the solo I can play part of the beginning but not the whole thing
Man, watching you guys groove on some classic metal like this is wonderful. So many people who don’t regularly listen the genre think it is just noise, but you really listen for the beat, the elements that construct the song and melody as a whole, and read into the lyrics. Subbed. You guys are great!
Man, I would love to hear some of this stuff for the first time again. It's so awesome watching someone hear it for the first time.
this is the song that got me hooked into metal
I’ve been sober for 2 years now, and this song brings me to tears every time I hear it. It just speaks so clearly to me. “More is all you need” is how I felt everyday for years. Trapped in a loop of power and pain.
Keep at it bro! Stay strong!!
So glad you got sober brother!! Keep it going my man!!! Please don’t fall back into it. That’s what these songs are about, the source of self destruction.
YOU are so much stronger than you know!!
This song should be your anthem! 🤘🏻
P.s. fight everyday bro!!!
Congrats for wining your battles!every day…
I have never been addicted and it makes me cry.
Now these are two guys that know good music when they hear it.. subscribed
G Ernhart hence the “unbiased real reaction.” Best channel on RUclips.
Gabrielle Ernhart , that's the quality of master of puppets
I really like Ryan and George! They are my favorite for music reviews. They seem to know music and always give an unbiased reaction. However, they keep an open mind. Also, before doing reaction videos, they may not have been rockers, but they were at heart. The videos brought their inner rocker out. They have forever been converted! Lol
Keep up the great work, Ryan & George!
Its always nice to see new people getting into metal. You guys are really open minded and make some really good and entertaining content.
Couldn't agree more.
freakin' love their videos man. not even just the metal ones.
- "Yo Megadeth I don't know!"
Love how they instantly understand the 'rivalry' of the bands.
Yes! Exactly, I don't think that either band would be as good as they were without the competition between them
Wasn't dave still in the band on that album? I forget when he left. Nevermind just double checked... he was kicked in 83... this came out 86.
I re-watch this video over and over, just to see that part.
I can picture Megadeth watching this going Motherfuc.......
After hearing these songs over and over....watching you guys makes me appreciate the songs again as if I was hearing for the first time again. Thanks for your work and this channel
So I am totally obsessed with watching these 2 guys react to metal. It's like they are completely validating my childhood after utterly disappointing my parents with my choice of music.
Thats "boomers" for you
Hell yeah
They make a song I have heard a thousand times & make it so much more exciting.
Totally blast your music homie.
Don't let your parents or anyone ruin anything for you.
I just came across them and I love it. It makes me feel like the first time I heard these masterpieces of metal.
Most versatile reaction channel ✊🏽

yeah
God... The privilege to hear Master of puppets for the first time. I envy you guys!!!!
I would never wish memory loss on anyone. But I would love to be able to experience Master of Puppets for the first time again.
Dudeeeeee... Bring back so many memories. Uhhhhh
So you have never heard "Master of Puppets"?
@@Rekko82 Are you braindead. He said for the first time?
@@okay6343 So why is he envy? The privilege of hearing the first time. I guess everyone who has heard the song previously have also heard it for the first time. What is so spectacular about the first time? I remember I was a child and I thought the song was good, I actually liked Battery and Leper Messiah even more. The privilege of hearing it for the first time. Oh no.
Maybe listen to "When the sun Burns Red" by Kreator for the first time or "Am I Evil" by Diamond Head OR "Breadfan" by Budgie would be cool too. Diamond Head's debut is a killer. Metallica has covered five songs from it. They have also covered two Budgie songs. There's lots of music you can listen to for the very first time. It is not a privilege. Well, I think person living Singapore might see it in a different way but Spotify has found themselves even there!
2 likeable dudes reviewing some of my favorite music ever. Dope channel.
Tee K Thanks for putting my thoughts into simple words❤️
Reviewing? They are actors.
Sums it up nicely.
Nobody called Lars trash until after the Black album. He inspired many drummers including myself in the 80's & 90's
True statement! As an amateur drummer and metalhead, I am more influenced by his 'style' than any other drummer simply because Metallica's music is in my permanent brain.
people just hate on him cause he's not the greatest live performer anymore. but he's great in his own right especially earlier in his career
@@greghancock1371 That's dope. How's life now?
people dont realize that 80% of their favorite drummers wouldn't have picked up the sticks when they did if not for Lars. Lars is the man
I tried my hardest to accept the Black Album. After seeing them second row at the Omni for the Justice tour it wasn't the same. I'm stuck in the past when they were Alcoholica
You know why I like these guys? Because I have forgotten the first time I had heard a lot of these songs, even though I take them for granted. I listen to so many of these songs they review all the time and I forgot how I felt when I bought these albums for the first time and how I was blown away and wanted to learn how to play them. I was just as blown away and surprised as you guys were when I heard these songs for the first time. Thanks, this helps me remember why I love Metal in the first place.
kiltor6 same... They're great, it's that wide eyed expression they get at the solo and the riffs... It's nostalgic
kiltor6 Great comment agreed 1000% !!!
Same! Well said!

I'm a hip hop head but damn I just had to say I'm loving the support from the metal community! Every metal reaction gains you a good 10,000 subscribers its crazy! Salute to them
Tyronne Letchert join us my friend! The metal community is usually a more open minded and diverse section of society! Mostly because a lot of us are misunderstood as freaks and weirdos..lol.
Yup lol. It is crazy. They gained 3,102 subs yesterday.
I'm a hip hop head as well, but Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold, etc blew my mind
Tyronne Letchert aye man, you should really check out metal, it's just great.
Tyronne Letchert were all in this together bro , hip hop , metal , R&B , its about good music !!!
100,000 subs on the way
A complete stadium roaring MASTER! MASTER! man that's a religious experience.
Or "seek and destroy".
Cold chills every damn time💕
Correct.
It most definitely and the same for the Die chants during Creeping Death. I've seen Metallica so many times live and even got to meet the band. Best live band ever
Oh yeah, Metallica with God Smack was on of the best concerts I've ever attended. Got a pick from James. \m/ 😎\m/
"Yo! I don't know Megadeth. I don't know" haha that about sums it up. It must suck for every other metal band to fight for #2. It's a story that's SAD BUT TRUE!
You guys are becoming metalheads before our eyes.
Totally, they just need to hear some Dio and listen a little more of Maiden to really appreciate how awesome they are
I'd love to see a Maiden song from more recent years, like The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg, since these guys like good storytelling
nah man Fear of the Dark...;D
They should react to Savatage.
kreshBACON iron maiden and dio SUCKS ASS!!!!!!!!!
I was one of those hardcore hiphop heads, but l i was introduced to metal in my 20s by college classmates, i couldn't believe i was so ignorant. Metal is a big ass genre, you can find alot you'll like. All these years later i'm a big hiphop AND metal-fan. You just have to be open minded. I respect these guys, they are open minded and intelligent.
Thank you! Props to you for "getting it". The definition of "free thinker"!
Ive been raised on rap/hip hop like tupac, snoopdogg and ect. And bands like Metallica and megadeath. And whatnot. I have imense love for both styles of genre
Same as brother!
how about some JUDAS PRIEST!!! or Scorpions...Loving you Sunday Morning..lol they will Rock you like a Hurricane!!
I was the opposite, I was heavily into metal for years and refused to listen to anything else. I'm now in my 40s and realise all the amazing bands I missed out on hearing because I was an ignorant d*ckhead. Making up for lost time though :)
In the late 80s I was I the Navy and a guy I probably wouldn't have met in life became my best friend. He was a metal head and me more punk/new wave. Her would always go to shows with me that I liked. Then one day he comes to my place and says "Get ready, we're going to a show." I asked who and he says with a huge grin, "Metallica!" I wasn't to psyched but he was always there for me. Wow!!! One of the most killer shows. This was their And Justice For All tour. Instant fan. A couple years later right as I was about to get out of the Navy, Brian was driving home to Ohio and died in a car accident. I miss that guy dearly and only wish he could see these guys Metallica reviews. You guys rock and are a joy to watch! 👊
Makes Fade to Black quite thee song suited for you story
A toast to Brian! Up the irons, wherever you are.
Ree Bullis
R.I.P. to your metal brother from another Ohio metal head.🎶❤🎶
During 85/86 James Hetfield was untouchable when it comes to riff composing and aggressive singing. What a front man.
In their prime if you hear just Hefield isolated guitar and vocals then you will hear that he is at least 70% of the Metallica sound. No disrespect to the other members, but Hatfield was the primary creative force behind the band.
И учитель был рядом, живой!
Best voice in metal ever

So true.. it’s satisfying
The Salty Seaman what you said is dead on. These guys are great
Exactly!

I've been a metal head for over 30 years and i really appreciate what you guys are doing. It is refreshing to see a couple dudes blast through the walls of discrimination and break down the music for what it is. Keep it up my dudes.
Gino Donohue fully agree.
Well said.
Gino Donohue , discrimination ?
Ochomarvo - discrimination has alwAys been delineated by music. Many dudes/ladies subscribe to certAin genres based on such delineation while secretly enjoying other genres or dismissing them all together. Black dudes criticizing honestly traditionally white genres is a great step for all to follow.

welcome to loving metal, were glad to have you.
its refreshing to see dudes to hear this for the firt time. i love this songs for so long and you make me feel like i hear it for the first time again. its cool thx
Exactly!
I was just thinking that. Makes you appreciate the song and remember why you loved it in the first place.
This is video is a perfect illustration of why I got into metal. Seeing these guys experience what I had experienced 25 years ago when I first heard some of these songs is a beautiful thing.
Shit yeah, watching these guys makes me feel like a kid again.
Me too.
Yes, you are right
Kinetic exactly my friend this is my favorite band just because they were the band that got me into METAL...
I felt I was back in the mid/ late 1980's when I used to be a teen, Judas Priest, Maiden, Motorhead, Slayer, Metallica, Death and Megadeth changed my life in such a way. Such a trip! "And with strange aons even Death may die"
Cliff Burton, RIP. You are still missed.
Gotta kinda wonder where they would have gone if he had survived.
And ever since the internet became a thing, I've always hated how shit they were to newstead.
Hell, he played with them longer than cliff did, and they were still dicks.
Part of the reason I'm still rather conflicted about the band.
Mad respect for Lars...from a professional drummer. Nothin' but love for him.
Around 12-15 years ago I used to play in a band with an old guitarist that shared studio with Metallica during one of their early albums, in Denmark. In Brøndby I believe. He said Lars was pretty shitty and it caused issues during the recording. But he was very impressed by how much he had improved since then.
Respect for what? Playing in a band like metallica while being crap?
He kind of reminds me of Meg White from the White Stripes as far as metal drummers go. Is he the most talented? No. Does he do what he needs to for the track? Absolutely. Sometimes simple IS better.
Lars's drumming is crucial to the Metallica sound; it doesn't exist in spite of it. Hetfield has said in interviews, that although Lars drumming is not the best, it forces him to "work around it" in ways that are rhythmically interesting.
@@madmartigan1634 yea, he's never going to make a list of "best drummers ever" but he's a crucial part of their sound.. it works for what they need.
Every single song on this record was a smash. The thing about 80's metal was you had to be authentic or the kids wouldn't believe in you. There were never any fillers on these albums because there weren't any singles. The radio wouldn't play them, so they had to be authentic and awesome live
We had a station that had the metal hour at 1 am Sunday morning. Always up to listen. They had Dr Demento on immediately before.
As much as I like M.O.P.....it was weak in comparison to R.T.l.
Killer!
Escape. Trapped Under Ice.
Yeah like now when I buy an album, I know at least 3/4 songs are gonna be kinda meh and filler to get that runtime. Back then that didn't seem to be a thing. Like with Iron Maiden from the first album to Fear of The Dark, there's only like 10 songs I think are mediocre, and that's across 9 albums!
I’ve been a musician and a metalhead for a really long time. I gotta hand it to you guys, you’re doing a great service to our beloved genre and I appreciate what you’re doing with these metal reactio/review videos. It’s great to see pure positive, open minded reactions to these songs. Thanks guys. Keep up the good work. Love it.
Fucking oath my bro. Totally agree!
Well said, sir. Can't wait to see them continue to go through the staples of the genre.
Justin Oliver I agree !

These guys were 22-23 years old when they recorded this song, unbelievable.
you think that's crazy? ppfffffffft... ever heard of the band Decapitated? fuckers were between 15-18 years old when they recorded their first record
sashyf yeah i’m pretty sure their oldest member was like 16 and their youngest was around 12 or 13. crazy shit but mad respectable
Think that's insane, how old was MJ when he first started recording? Lol
Mathew Erenbergee well that was only because he’d get beaten if he didn’t lmao
Mathew Erenbergee Don’t forget Mozart.
Honestly, the lyrics are probably the best part about this song. Once you understand the lyrics you realise how creative that chill part in the middle of the song is. The song is obviously about drugs controlling people, and the chill part is the euphoria that someone experiences when they finally get their hit
You guys need to check out the song One by Metallica. You'll love the transitions!
Nate VanGilder I second listening to One by Metallica. Easily one of their best.
Probably the most "Metallica" Metallica song. Has everything.
MopHeDD For me the most '' Metallica '' Metallica song is Fade to Black.
the riffs after the solo are fucking sick
Fade to black is amazing. Probably my 3rd favorite song by them (Orion is 2nd), but One has it all. It showcases the band's talent like no other, IMO
1986 - I was 9 years old. My mom said I could buy anything I wanted with my birthday money. I bought Master of Puppets on cassette from the local music store, and my metal journey began. Today, at 40, it still gives me chills when I listen to it, and it is one of very few albums I can listen to straight through without skipping a single song. Great video guys!
Dennis Chester Damn I'm jealous... I'm pretty young and the first album I heard was Death Magnetic and I loved it so I went back and listened to all the albums... And I've got to agree that every track on Puppets is just impossible to skip it's so good...
I got my Master of Puppets cassette from Columbia House at 14.
Dennis Chester ABSOLUTELY !!! The WHOLE ENTIRE album is a masterpiece. Start to finish.
Dennis Chester Same here. I was 12 at the time, and Master was my first ever LP. Still one of the absolute best albums ever.
Awesome!!!!
And LOL, you can't decide between Metallica or Megadeth now? Congratulations! You've just graduated to the next level of metalhead 101. That's the debate!
yeah the next level is the realization that megadeth is better
Loool Jack truthhhhhh
Metallica owns Megadeth!
Jack Lewin lol. Both have been my favorite at some point. Depends when you ask me, but I think I've settled on Megadeth. For now anyway...

High on Fire - Frost Hammer

Primus - The Toys Go Winding Down
I think you're by far the most interesting reaction channel.
Pausing and commenting during the song is a very good thing. And you show immense respect toward the bands :)
Metal fans are the most LOYAL and PASSIONATE of all music fans and by the sounds of the reactions in majority of these videos... Ryan and George are "getting it" and are well on their way of becoming full fledged Metalheads hahaha! \m/
They should do 2 more Megadeth songs tho. Tornado Of Souls for the solo and Hangar 18 for the legendary solo dual.
But yeah, when you see how impressed they are by the compositions and transitions, I'd like to see them react to some 10 min track by Opeth.
2020, here. This song has been officially named as the best Metallica song ever due to a bracket run by the band themselves.
🤘
This whole album is insane. Damage Inc, Disposable Hero, The Thing That Should Not Be etc there's not a weak song anywhere to be found.
Eric Parker not just my favorite Metallica album ever.
My favorite album ever.
Yeah, it's hard to argue. I love a lot of Metallica songs, but this one has always been in my top 5.
I'm not quite as big a Metallica fan as others on here, but even I have to recognize that they're bannermen of heavy metal at this point in time.
But there would be no Metallica if it weren't for bands like Sabbath, Priest and Maiden 🤘😎
It may not be my "favorite" song ever to listen to. But it is without a doubt the best written and executed song ever made. An absolute masterpiece.
If you saw another kid with a Metallica shirt in the 80s, it was like a badge of honor. You never heard this on the radio because it was "too heavy".
I bought this album because the cover art was cool. Got lucky on that one.
try Metallica For Whom the Bell Tolls same era.... bad ass
Robert Baker sick bass intro
Anything from that album is gold.
Ride the Lightning and Creeping Death too they kick ass
Love how you guys pick up on the smooth transitions and how well the song was constructed. Their song composition is, arguably, one of Metallica's biggest strengths and what makes them stand out in metal, aside from those sweet, sweet riffs.
Why is there something so refreshing about seeing my black dudes reviewing metal? This is wholesome af
I think you confused Lars with Nicko.
Richi Rich Lars is alright
what most people forget is that Lars help START this craziness ... everyone who says Lars sux ... how many times have you compared Bonham and said he's the greatest drummer etc .... stop comparing grandpa to the 21 year old ... its not the same sport when you compare 2 drummers 30 years apart in a genre they helped create.
Even for his era... Lars IS NOT GOOD. Refer to my previous reply to the thread. Drummers who can hold a beat come a dime a dozen... Lars just simply got lucky. He isn't good. He doesn't know tone or sound, and he is not technical. He simply got REALLY lucky. Even Vinnie (I love Vinnie) is better than Lars, and Vinnie does literally almost nothing technical.
Lars has one hell of a talent at songwriting, not at drumming, songwriting. He knows exactly what should be played to make a metal song sound good (as proven by the first five albums and the two newest albums). Nearly all of Metallica's songs and all of their greatest work was written or co-written by Lars. Without him Metallica simply wouldn't be as good as they are (or were).
Trust me, at the concert, it’s the one that comes on and everyone says ooooooooooohhhhhhhh shhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttt lmao place goes nutts
10k people chanting "MASTER..MASTER.." It'll shake the dust off the rafters for sure lol
This song is approximately 30 years old. Look at the excitement. It's probably my 20th time watching your reaction to this song. It's like the first time I heard "Hail Mary" from 2 Pac. Hard hitting.
When you realise they were around 23 yo writing this album. Insanity
Certain metal songs and bands will always be relevant. Metallica is one of those bands. Decades later people still rock out to them. I can think of just a couple others.

travistotle I wish I could like this comment twice
This is the first video i've seen from you, guyz. Now, 3 years later, i can trully tell you made my life better. I've learn from you lots of things. How to look at a song, how to listen to it. Yo're really good and underrated. It is clear to me you are the best reaction stuff on internet right now. Many tried to copy you. No one can copy you. Yo're just true. Thank you, and please don't ever stop bringing joy to people allover the world. Yo're so fun and clever, and down to earth. Thank you again.
as for the lars haters:
the guy wanted to be a drummer in a band. he managed to get james, kirk, and cliff to play with him. he did everything from a music industry and business perspective to get the band where they are, and keep them going when cliff died. and he has been with this same band for 30 years. that is success by any standard. he found three genuine geniuses to start a band, and who can blame him for not being the best musician in his band? only an egomaniac would choose to play with less talented musicians, given the opportunity to play with the best in the world.
ruclips.net/video/uI07pAt34i0/видео.html
listen to the man speak for himself.
Just for The Napster affair .... lot of Dummy hate Lars... it's not the best drumer but... you've see the live 89, 90...92... Lars is incredible ! Cocaïne Lars ...
he had perfect timing. .. metronomic ! killer ! He just playing The right thing !
Honestly if you are still a shitty drummer after 30 years of playing with the same band, you're just not trying to get better. That's why I personally really dislike Metallica. Formulaic as all hell and no incredible instrumentation to save it. It's great radio metal. It's not good metal by any other standard. As far as I am concerned, the band hit their peak with Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets. Everything after that is pretty much meh, and definitely not worth the 200$ ticket price to go see them live....What gets me the most is how they all really believe they're the shit.

As a fellow black person, who also likes and has been listening to Metallica for the past 16 years, I am overjoyed to see my other "brothers" listening to Metallica. As a musician myself, I can really appreciate the musical aspect of them and I see them as Metal geniuses. That said, now that you have heard "real Metallica", I feel I would be remiss if I did not recommend one of their newest epic creations, "Spit Out The Bone" from their "Hardwired to Self Destruct" album, for your reaction fancy. Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed, as it captures the same "rawness" of Master of Puppets in my opinion
BigWill4Christ As a former metal listener, I'm wondering, are there any metal bands that consist of African Americans? (I couldn't say black metal bands cause that's a sub genre lol so I had to word it like that)
dinosaursk8 Znowhite was a thrash metal band back in the 80's that consist American/African. Really great thrash band!
dinosaursk8 there is a new metal band made up of 3 black kids. They are growing and if you listen to there stuff when they were playing outside of stadiums before they got signed, and then their studio album now, you can hear it. They are called Unlocking the Truth. Check out their song called Monster.
BAP*BAP*BAP I'll give them a listen
BigWill4Christ I'll check it out!
Heard this when it came out 1986 and it raised the bar for metal bands. It is still one of the best metal albums ever. And it is so fun to watch people react to it first time they hear it. Imagine what it did to my teenage brain.
I am generally annoyed at reaction videos but I have enjoyed yours 100 percent. Thumbs up.
Megra92 Totally, these guys remind me of how I felt the first time I heard these songs.
I'm the same but these guys are truly open minded and that makes the difference. Plus they just seem to be two really nice guys.
Lars REAL genius is not in his drumming... it's in his arrangements. James contributes a lot of the music...but Lars arranges the songs. Lars is an epic producer who just happens to play drums.
You have a genius producer...you definitely take "just serviceable" to be able to get his genius.
this
@Joseph Cocchiola Difference is Page is a great guitarist and producer. Ulrich is an excellent producer, not so much a great drummer anymore.
@@ynsimha7663 Page could never play the music on tempo live and was very sloppy. Zep also were plagiarists.
@@shotguncrucifix He did. For a while. Check out any of their concerts from 1969 to 1973. Plagiarism I will give you... but they did make the blues sound entirely like their own thing.
YN Simha
Yeah, they plagiarized some of the songs. But listen to their entire catalog; it’s massively diverse and innovative. They fucked up a few times and paid what they owed to the songwriters.
"when i think of metal, i think of a voice like his" yes man. exactly. Young hetfield's voice defines Metal.
kdtomczak22 absolutely!
Young and current
maybe they should react to puppetz seatle 89
In my mind, that brief melodic portion in the middle of the song is symbolic of getting a fix. It's short lived then goes directly into the addict confronting his addiction
This is exactly what I think it's going for and it's magnificent. I think the "third act" coming in with even more terror than the first act, with the despairing "MASTER, MASTER". It's the rage of the comedown, and realising you're broken. Reminds me of NIN's Downward Spiral with "A Safe Place" into "Eraser" :)
Master of Puppets is "the"Metallica album. This is the album that established metal as a serious music genre. I remember the day it was released and how heavy music changed from that point on.
The younger kids were handed metal on a platter. But those of us that were there from the beginning know how important this album was and is. I have been listening to and playing metal since the early 80's and this album is still the standard by which all new music gets compared.
Excellent job guys. You are breathing new breath into what has become a stale genre.
Go further back to Ride The lighting. Listen to creeping death. Or for whom the bell tolls
Db Jones, I don't have to go further back to RTL. I remember when it came out. I was listening to Metallica when Mustain was still in the band. If you have ever heard of the tape trading days that started Metallica, I was part of that. By the time RTL came out I was already a performing musician playing my own brand of thrash.
I think RTL is the best of melodic Metallica, but MOP is still the album that made metal a serious genre. And I don't mean serious in the world of metal. I mean serious to the rest of the music world.
Baz on Blades I would say Kill Em's All was THE album. The next two gathered the forces and trained them. ...And Justice For All then took us to war and changed the genre...again. Justice is one of those must have albums to define a genre.
Masters of puppets is beyond great, but kill em all is still the best for me. Just can't beat the raw enthusiasm of youth.
Master of Puppets holds a special place with me. I grew up when MTV still played music, caught some of their 90's era videos, and kind of got into them. Then I was gifted MoP. Was at first perplexed at Battery's intro...then I couldn't stop listening, beginning to end. The rest's history.
James has one of the TIGHTEST right hands in the Guitar world!!
Nice user name lol
That sounds like a sexual thing LOL
RIP Dimebag
right hand(s)? ya it does seem the only logical explanation is that he has two right hands. lol
Good name
I wish I've never heard Metallica so I can relive my first reaction 😂
ZosoJuan said every Metallica fan ever!
Master of puppets was the first metal song I ever heard, so naturally I flipped my shit because it's so good. I listened to there music for a while then my friend got me to listen to the whole ...and justice for all album and it was wild. Metal for life \m/
Fight Fire With Fire 1984.
Same!! I’m a huge Metallica fan!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@KamikazeSOF2 Hell yeah. I've watched like ten of these guy's videos in a row today. Meshuggah, Slayer, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Megadeth, etc. Cool to watch!
I come to see this video every once in a while...
This is my first time seeing it, and I understand why. These dudes are really the only reactors I can stand no matter what song or genre they’re doing because I truly believe they’re genuine at all times. Seeing them react so positively to a song that’s so important to basically every metalhead is a very joyous experience.
George is getting his ugly face to this; that's a good sign.
You say "yeah" almost as often as James Hetfield :D
lol
Hetfield..
was about to say it bro
oops, corrected. of yourse it´s Hetfield, thanx

Metallica Orion - a true metal masterpiece 🤘🤘🤘
A mind blowing instrumental!
It is amazing, I love it.
Great song!
An instrumental FYI
Yes y’all gotta do this
Love the reaction. This is one of those songs you need the lyrics in front of you to fully enjoy. Not only is it a musical masterpiece, the lyrics cut straight to the bone. The way the song takes you through a dark and terrible journey through drug abuse is gripping.
For the record, Metallica never wore eyeliner. Their whole point of creating thrash metal was to rebel against glam metal. C'mon George! 🤣
Cough cough, the promo material for LOAD, dude
@@jebatman756 cough cough Cunning Stunts video...
I’m all out of bubble Gum they didn’t really sell out. People change, musicians are people too, one tends to mellow out as one ages
Kirk wore eye liner. Sorry, but he did. And the band who always ripped other bands like Poison for their makeup and clothes, in the 90's Metallica cut their hair (At the same time like it was a business decision) and started wearing silk suits and smoked cigars.
It was the EXACT opposite of what they laid into other bands for doing. Like Hetfield bashing Layne Staley on stage for his heroin addiction, while he himself was an alcoholic.
Crashburn 32 they all wore that crap for the load and reload promos, which is a shame. But I don’t they think they sold out for the Black album and for cutting their hair
I can't tell you guys how much I envy the fact that you still get to listen to this stuff for the first time
Connor Ryan Right?!
Check out Black Sabbath's Sweet Leaf, Megadeth's Sweating Bullets. Much better songs than anything Metallica lol. And Rush's YYZ has the best drums but it has to be watched live so you can see Neil Pearts set up, i promise you wont be dissapointed
Ill never forget my 1st time listening to this song... the whole Album in general! Masterpiece.
I don't envy the fact that they're just stepping into the world of Metallica vs. Megadeth internet arguments though, lol.
So true. 40 years for me listening
You have to do Creeping Death by Metallica.
Their best song ever in my opinion
Scott Urwin never Trapped under Ice is up there!
Todd S Fuck yeah
Yes sir their best song and for whom the bells toll
Oscar Delgadillo agreed
No offense but I know I’m not wrong Half of the time or the reaction was just yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah destruction yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah 💀

Metallica - BLACKENED
SwiNgMaN 31 YESS
Yyyeees doooddd
YESSS
You guys should listen to some Black Sabbath, they're one of the most influential bands in metal. Some songs I'd recommend would be "War Pigs" "Iron Man" "Paranoid" "Children of the Grave"
This is an excellent suggestion!
Zachary Garza my all time favorite band!!! seen ozzy 3 times Sabbath twice
I think Children of the Grave would rock their balls off.
I was lucky enough to see Black Sabbath on their farewell tour!
hangar 18 Megadeth is gold do it for the fanss!!!!!!
Caden Jerome 1 million times this.
When I was a 12 year old girl in the 80s, all I wanted was to be Kirk Hammett when I grew up. I still do! 😄
Blackened - Metallica
Yes please
god, my favourite song of tallica.. that riff makes me eyaculate
Clevrr Best track EVER by Metallica.
React to “Tornado Of Souls” by Megadeth. And if you want to get into Slayer more easily, react to “Seasons In The Abyss”.
TheGuitarmen3 yes!!!
Slayer - Angel of Death is enough 😊
Biological Bitch no doubt about that but it would take the fun of seeing them going berserk like with Angel of Death 🤘
TheGuitarmen3 SOUTH OF HEAVEN!!
It's crazy to see people reacting the same way I did to a song when I was a teenager in the 80's in the present time.
This song broke me when I first heard it.
I’m glad you chose this song out of all of them, I recommend you react to “for whom the bell tolls” great song
You guys should definitely listen to One by Metallica.
Hell Awaits The back story and vocals to this day gives me goosebumps!!
hell awaits they should do that or chemical warfare they couldn't handle raining blood
for whom the bell tolls pleassssssse

Can relate
PLSSSS
If they react to 1989 battery, they'll die
Lethargica Stengah - agreed. Would love to see their reaction to Battery and Disposable Heros...amongst a whole other catalog of Metallica songs. They really haven't even scratched the surface yet.
also blackened
Would LOVE to watch their reaction to Battery.
Hah. 1989 seattle concert. "Battery". Pure gold
Master of puppets is far superior
I'll do a Like for Eddie Munson. The most Metal man in history 🤘
Amen!
Most metal concert in history 🤘
Been blasting MoP every night on my way to work in Eddie’s honor.
@@phoenixfox2697 legend
@@jimbob2252 Eddie deserves my respect. Added bonus, if you wanna get amped up on your way to work, Master of Puppets is will definitely do it
Pretty sure the whole Lars hateball came after the Napster debacle
I think ur right
There's that, but he's also gotten lazy over the years, so his playing since the black album has been disappointing for fans, I think.
@@ErizotDread True enough. Personally I'm really only a fan of their first 4 or 5 albums.
@@brucebolduc4568 Yeah, same here...but without those albums, I probably wouldn't have started playing guitar, so those are pretty important albums to me! lol
Bruce Bolduc only.....five albums is allot
I love you guys! Same reaction I had 31 years ago when I first heard Master of Puppets.
"-Yeah.. this is just.. yeah"
"-Yeah"
-James Hetfield
Yeah
Yeah
Could be hetfield himself
Yeah
This song I consider the best metal song of all time. It is a master class of tension building, rage against the subject (addiction), and orchestration of all 4 instruments and the vocals. And the lyrics cut right into your soul, whether you are an addict of know an addict. Simple the undefeated, unbeatable, best metal song of all time.
If someone asked me to introduce them to heavy metal (especially thrash metal), this would be THE song to play for them. It's what metal is all about. And this one has all the elements. It's a work of art!
@@jasonhaynes2952 An orchestra with 4 instruments.
Cyrstal Mountain - Death
Yes.
Perfect introduction to death metal!
I think this channel didn’t expect heavy metal to be their most viewed videos haha lol
Not at all lol
Lost In Vegas need a metal video every day please. You guys have much more to experience!
Metalheads are a ravenous group, we are.
Master of Puppets was the song that inspired me to play guitar and be in a band for 17 years. I will never forget when I first heard the opening riff. It gave me goosebumps and I knew I needed to pick up a guitar from that moment on. It is a special song.
Kyle Ritter hell yeah. I first learned that riff 20 years ago and even though I rarely play guitar these days, I can still nail it!
Had to go buy a cream colored Gibson Explorer...man I wish I still had that sick thing.
Kyle Ritter Man i feel you when i first heard that song when i was 9 i felt in love with it! Best song ever written imo. Have a nice day Sir🤘
Kyle Ritter Same here. I was 13. Mind = blown.
Same for me dude. Got the cd when I was 13 and by 15 I was full fledged into playing guitar 24/7
I think Lars just focused on what would sound the best musically rather than showing how fast he can play. His drumming matches the tone of the song fantastically imo
Metallica - Blackened
Tristan Cunningham yes! Blackened is a must!
Lol, I already see them not liking it. I do, of course, but it's not anaccesibletune by any means.
Probably the heaviest song on that album imo. Fucking amazing.
Man this reminds me of when I first heard master of puppets and how glorious it was
Me Too!!
hell yeah! it's such a perfect song, these guys nail it. the 'come crawling faster' riff is just awesome
As a Metallica fan I can say you guys' reaction made me smile. :) Love how you guys are so enthousiastic about some old skool 'Tallica! Keep up the great work brothers, you're awesome \m/
Frayed Ends of Sanity 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
1986, 13 year old skater, and THIS song was my introduction to Metallica. To this day it is my favorite metal song EVER. These two guys here are just as bad ass. Thanks for giving MoP this amazing review. You guys are the best. I love the humor ("Apparently we are just getting started." = LMAO! "...But I LIKE it!" LOL too!) and in your face love of it all ("this is FIRE!"). You guys are fun to watch! Keep up the good work.
