Looks like a similar chip to what is on the Turing Pi RK1. Although more spendy, you can get 4 modules into a single micro ATX main board.

Thank you for this top notch content. Many others in the community have taken note and are actively using your strategy, which is what led me to your video. I used your referral link, but opted for the $160 version of the Orange Pi (for the sake of extra features if I ever do something aside from Verus, I'm aware ROI is dreadfully longer now LOL). I have a few other SBCs that I'm going to test out on Verus as well. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for this video! Late to the mining scene. Any site that does mining calculation for arm proc like orange pi 5? Most sites are looking at GPU or CPUs (Intel/AMD).
And btw, when you ctrl-d in the video, you are leaving the screen app in the background. You could have exited the screen app and the CCminer app will still be running when you end SSH.

You can actually have multiple Mining Pools under the same config settings. You just got to have [ "disabled": 1 ] under each of them and change the 1 to 0 for whichever pool you want the miner to mine from.
This saves you the hassle of copying and pasting the pool info whenever one goes under or doesnt mine as much and you can add more ontop.

Hey I have been using raspberry pi but my set up is roughly the same except for a few lines. I add a code that monitors cpu usage, if it falls below 50% it reboots. Just cus mine stops mining once a month and wouldn't get back going mine are also overclocked which may be the cause of the crash. But more efficient

Hi, just want to let you know that Oink just released CCminer 3.8.3-4. What about trying (in the pcie M.2 NVME slot) a mining riser adapter 4 USB ports to pcie 1X? That will be fun, because it may support up to 4 cards. As I know, there are some issues with Ubuntu graphic drivers, but it may work :). Last, but not least, big LIKE!!!!!! from me!

  • @FOink-jz8hu

Thanks for the shout-out. Very good explanation!
You can call me Oink, no need to stutter on the O... 😂
    A couple of remarks:
    - My repo was originally created for my own usage, so it has my own SSH-key in it for password-less login. Replace the public SSH-key in `~/.ssh/authorized_keys` with your own SSH public key, or remove that file completely.
    - On the `@reboot ~/ccminer/start.sh` in crontab, you may want to add a 15 second delay, to allow the OPI to start up completely (DHCP address acquiring etc) before starting the miner: `@reboot sleep15s; ~/ccminer/start.sh`. This will avoid the initial connection errors you had, while shooting the video.
    - The 2nd pool you removed in the `config.json` is indeed a fallback pool. It is not required but very helpful in case your chosen pool fails (temporarily). It has a timeout, so after that it tries to return to your primary pool. Also for the 2nd pool you can choose whatever pool you want. (In fact you can add as many fail-overs as you want).
    - If you have multiple devices (like you have), port 4068 is the default API port. You can use the tools (on Linux!!!!) on my github to monitor (and control!!!) the miners locally without having to SSH into the device.
Again: great video and thanks for the shout-out!

Running a few a03s phones, getting 4.55mh/s at 4.425w each. It's fun to play around with these more efficient and less hash options, but i couldn't imagine trying to run any sizeable farm off such small devices. It seems like a pain to admin all these tiny devices if one goes offline.
