Go on a 2 day or more exploration camping trip with 2 go karts. Either build new ones or use some others and have tents and everything you need to survive for 2 days in a kart.
You guys need some kind of air/fuel meter and lamda probe. Then you could actually tune the mixture correctly and not end up with another drag rail type engine failure,
I agree on the shocks for sure. They need to get some of those dirt cheap RFY Ohlins clones and learn how to rebuild those. I have a set on my buggy and the damping makes it ride so smoothly.
they could rob the stuff from the Rat Rod wagon and figure out how to make that work. but converting the front to have steering and drive would be VERY expensive.
I added ammo cans to my Yerfdog GX150 when I was looking for waterproof storage...they work well...but the handles will start to rattle when they've been on there for a while...lol
Yall should build a utility trailer for this. Then go for a karting/ camping trip. I would do tow hooks front and rear. Brake/tail light a rear mounted work/ camp light. A usb outlet for charging phones etc could be wired into a ammo can. A winch could be handy. Trailer hitch.
The best thing you could ever do to any of the yerf dog karts is get oversized bolts for every hole and drill out the holes to fit the bolts. Getting all the slop out of them completely transform them. I have rfy shocks as well as properly sized bolts on mine and it rides like a caddy.
Ammo cans add +10 style points to everything. I had an 89 GMC Jimmy that I put a B&M truck mega shifter on top of an ammo box, bolted to the floor, and put toggle switches in the side for all my aux lights.
Today is the first day watching you guys last night I watched 35 videos I loved all of them. I still remember the time I rolled my first go cart it was the first day I had it
The yerf dog is awesome. If it were me though, I'd reverse the bolts on the ammo cans so that the bolt heads are inside the box. Then you don't have to worry about the shaft of the bolts catching your hands, or your supplies. I Also might would consider adding a simple brace or gusset in the frame where the boxes mount. And a 12"-16" led light bar across the top would just be perfect in my opinion. Those are just some of my thoughts. All in all, that thing is awesome. Ya'll have made me want one.
Thats what im building and restoring on my channel right now. The A arms stock are trash so i got a new set from GPS and there made better and the steering rods bend easy also.
Again, you guys are bringin it to the diy genre! I watch your vids with my 3 daughters and ask them what they want to do next with their minibikes and go cart. It always seems to be bigger motor or bigger suspension. Thanks again for the inspiration.
Finally the Yerf dog is back! Put the rear shocks in the front so it can have 4 shocks in the front for more weight, and in the rear get some rfy’s shocks.
I could see some rear fenders dropping down off the front side of the ammo boxes to keep the mud and other stuff from the back wheels off of the driver! That would be a nice creature comfort!
Make a mount for a spare tire on the square area of the frame behind where your head is. Like trophy truck style 😎 it's real easy to make and I think it would look cool
some advice, i own one of these carts with a 12hp motor and yes they crack like that, also welding the upper cage to the lower frame instead of bolting it help ALOT with flex.
Nice, small fire extinguisher and a baby wench but need cup holder at minimum , mini sound system would be cool , gps , man you could really pimp that cart . You guys are world class
I think some beefier tires for the back would make it better off-road. A 1500lb winch would be pretty cool too. And maybe like a 24” light bar for the roof.
What about raising the lights up to be closer to your eye level (any height increase) so that lower bushes dont obscure the beams, theres a reason off roaders have the light bar across the top of the windshield but even raising them 10 inches to knee level might help. or dont whatever, love the show guys.
Put a winch on there, since it has electric power on it. That with some pulleys and tie-down straps could make getting other stuck carts out a bit easier.
haha haha. . after you put the ammo can on the passenger side. I was thinking, darn. you should have gotten one for the back drivers side. . well; whatta you know? . .. looks great guys!! . . And is ACTUALLY AMAZING for a yerf dog . . keep up the great work. . peace, Eric the Eturn
Goal for the rail isnt to go as fast as possible, its to make what it already is go as fast as possible. The current 670 is already bending the axle on launch if they double the power (and increase the weight) its just going to cause more problems than its worth, they could build it up to take the power but then it'd be slower with the 670 and this is a go cart/lawnmower channel and using the 670 engine is the focus of that rail. its like having a 30 year old car with no mods and seeing how "good" you can make it with just simple mods, like tuning a stock '87 camaro vs dropping an ls3 into it, the fun is seeing how far it can go as-is.
Im not saying that because there is a issues with the rail but the Ducati motor doesn't fit that little go cart but the rail was the heaviest kart that they have
@@tomstech4390 OK. They did that. The current 670 is most likely a trot line weight now, so why beat a dead horse by trying to rebuild an engine that basically failed the first time it got pushed hard. And who wants to watch someone tune a stock 87 Camaro? Not me. BORING! Swap that bitch and make some power, or leave it at home, cause you just wasting the dude behind you in line to race's time. He gotta wait on that 14 sec pass, after the one wheel peel. It's cool, though, it was the wheel on the grandstand side.
They said specifically in one of their rail videos that they will NOT put the Ducati motor on the rail because the frame is already tweaked and the axle is already maxed out as is
There is one thing you can do. Well it used to work on round saws. All we did is drill two holes once at the beginning of the crack and one at the end of it. Drilling a hole stops the crack from spreading. just try it anyway. Cheers
I have the 3202 which is basically the same thing but black and doesn’t have the rear rack. Stage 1 212 in it too. I jumped it an completely snapped the frame
I've been watching your page build karts for 3 years and always wished I had the ability to make karts just like you do I had the same kart when I was young before my father passed away and we built it together I watch every video and love the shenanigans between you guys keep doing your thing. It'll be fine like always
I like the ammo case saddlebag idea, also I saw a comment by a person usernamed eurobeat saying that u should go camping with some go karts and I think it is a good idea I would enjoy that video very much
You should consider turning the bolts around on the ammo can so that the head of the bolt is inside the can. It will prevent water bottles from being punctured or straps getting caught up....just a thought though
You need to install a pennant flag on a mast so that when you go over dunes, others can see that you are coming. Make it a Cars and Cameras Pennant flag. :-)
Part of the beauty of an OHC design is it allows higher-RPM operation without valve-float, allowing more horsepower to be produced. It's what made the 500cc Matchless motorbike "matchless" in the day. That said, seeing how turbo-charging adds so-well in breathing at high engine RPMs, and since it is a Subaru, wouldn't the addition of a turbo make sense? You know how Subarus are with turbos... especially off-road!😎
Have you considered adding a little bit stiffer springs to the back shocks? that would make for cleaner power delivery and probably much better handling
winch, snorkel and maybe roofrac or something like that would be nice. allso u could make some kinda rack to the front of that thing for even more storage
yeah pod filters are no good in the dirt, you need a foam sock over it that you can oil up to stop the dust getting through it and turning to mud once mixed with the fuel in your carb, that's why you are seeing mud in there.
flip the bolts on the ammo cans around so the nut is on the frame side, that way when you reach into the can the ends of the bolts aren't waiting to bust your knuckles.
duuuuuuuuude!!!! You guys should throw some kind of fenders right up under the ammo cans!!! also i had an idea for you guys about a project but im not on instagram at all and facebook rarely... but we can text or email if you guys want to hear me out!! -been watching for over a year. keep it comin!!
I think you need a small light in the back just in case you have to get in your storage bin or fuel up. It would be nice if you needed to make adjustments on the motor also.
Itd need its own car battery and the charging system probably wouldnt keep up. Heavy and takes room but hey, itd be the best sounding gokart in the world!!
Looking sick! glad you guys brought this back. Have you considered swapping out the seat with a single seater and then mounting some storage alongside the seat? Or maybe even centering the seat & steering column so you can put an ammo can (or two) either side.
Ike you welded the gussets correctly good job. Just remember never weld out to the end of the gusset. If you do need to weld from the end because of the way it mounts weld from the end in. That way it shouldn’t crack.
Go on a 2 day or more exploration camping trip with 2 go karts. Either build new ones or use some others and have tents and everything you need to survive for 2 days in a kart.

+85 drift skill
+3000 rpm

You guys should put beefy tires with better off road tread
yea what this guy said
Propane and propane accessories I sell propane and propane accessories
Air snorkel to keep the filter and carb clean and a winch? Just a couple of ideas.
Was just going to say the same thing.
it will reduce the filter issue but you will not stop dust going through a pod filter without a foam sock and some oil on it.
Wouldn't be heavy enough for a winch unless BOTH Jon and Ike were sitting in/on it and/or it was wedged to a tree.
New tyres whith gnarly tread
Paradigm Mirror go fuck yourself I was about to say that
Mini Mayhem meet coming next Wednesday!
I want to sponsor a Honda 390
You guys need some kind of air/fuel meter and lamda probe. Then you could actually tune the mixture correctly and not end up with another drag rail type engine failure,
Put bigger tires on it
Where is the Murray
I wanna ship these tires out for the yerf dog but I'm not sure where to send it , i will send pictures on Instagram. Check carsandcamerasreviews

I agree on the shocks for sure. They need to get some of those dirt cheap RFY Ohlins clones and learn how to rebuild those. I have a set on my buggy and the damping makes it ride so smoothly.
You guys said that you wanted to do another awd build, so why don't you make the YERF DOG awd, because... SUBARU!!
Small transfer case
Agree
they could rob the stuff from the Rat Rod wagon and figure out how to make that work. but converting the front to have steering and drive would be VERY expensive.
I don't mean to be the bad guy but Subaru's are garbage, (sorry, not sorry ur weirdos)
we found the random edgelord here.
You guys should build a man cart longer, tougher, bigger shocks. Like the truck cart but Ike's size!
Yeah, I notice Ike is always a bit big for the karts. The drag rail is ok though
Great idea. Each design your own cart and see which is best.
I added ammo cans to my Yerfdog GX150 when I was looking for waterproof storage...they work well...but the handles will start to rattle when they've been on there for a while...lol

AMMO CAN Fenders
Ammo cans add +10 style points to everything. I had an 89 GMC Jimmy that I put a B&M truck mega shifter on top of an ammo box, bolted to the floor, and put toggle switches in the side for all my aux lights.
We usually put those lunch lady head covering things on our bikes Air filters and That helps keeping the dirt away quite alot
I think you should go full military theme and paint it Olive Drab to compliment the ammo cans. Colors kinda clash right now.
think CHRISTMAS dude!!! RED AND GREEN (although not the right color of green, but still!!)
That would be really cool
Or they could do camo

I just checked out your channel. Not bad. You good at talking to the camera. Keep up the good work.
@@CrookCountySoftwear Thanks. Its a work in progress. Ive got a bunch more videos coming out. With different content also.
Next mod, custom swing arm in back and longer a-arms in from for more ground clearance, with taller tires.
Yes! Yerf dog revival. Been waiting for this. Make it an off-road beast.
I could totally see the rear wheels smashing up into the ammo cans in the near future! Have fun guys!
The dream go-kart of like every 12 year old at some point and time... I remember seeing Yerfdog at Pep Boys and Tractor Supply Co. growing up...
I love this go kart, it is just a good ol workhorse :)
Again, you guys are bringin it to the diy genre! I watch your vids with my 3 daughters and ask them what they want to do next with their minibikes and go cart. It always seems to be bigger motor or bigger suspension. Thanks again for the inspiration.
You two need to put the ducatti motor on the drag rail
Those metal ammo cans are great for lots of stuff. I used 20mm cans as battery boxes for an ebike project on my channel
if you are going to off road with those racing filters you need to put a sock over the filter like i do, or just buy a prefilter
Good to see the yerfdog getting some love.
Always liked the yerfdog . Love the big engine builds but the dog is everymans kart.
I had one of these carts as a kid glad yall ended up with one!!
The boxes look neat😊
That carb with the over head cam sounds good.
Finally the Yerf dog is back! Put the rear shocks in the front so it can have 4 shocks in the front for more weight, and in the rear get some rfy’s shocks.
the yerf dog needs bigger tires in the front and better tires in the rear. i always love seeing a revival on the channel .
Spare tire rack, and a horn is all you need now lol👍👍
I could see some rear fenders dropping down off the front side of the ammo boxes to keep the mud and other stuff from the back wheels off of the driver! That would be a nice creature comfort!
Great video... As always!
Finally i love these vids with all the offroad or more sketchy mods
Tug of war between yerf dog vs monster truck
Yerf would yank the truck over backwards.. WAY higher center of gravity..
Make a mount for a spare tire on the square area of the frame behind where your head is. Like trophy truck style 😎 it's real easy to make and I think it would look cool
I did this to my yerf dog 3002 and it looks sick!

(I've been addin stuff to 1 bike for 9 months, and still have a couple pieces setting)

More aggressive tires and a larger fuel tank. Can’t wait to see the Busco beach adventure

Maybe adding a bigger gas tank BEFORE busco? I remember having to put gas in the yerf dog when he ran out lol
Cant hurt a subaru “NOT YET”😂😂😂🤣 im dead
Another great video,, you guys keep raising the bar. Nice one

I have similar project coming up.
Going to be using a 05 honda foreman 500 as a donar . love your work guys keep it up!!
Hell Yeah brother
Add a tiny Jerry can, the smallest winch you can, a custom tool box for all of the tools need to fix/replace anything on the cart.
Dropping a like now gonna watch later after work.. great work guys
Always love the videos man....
Looks good. You should add some rear fenders under the cans
You're good at it with the engine
Also, I have a yerf dog model 3002 and the frame cracks so easily, you should add some more gussets
Would you guys be willing to do an army green kart? Ammo cans made me think of it. Great way to show appreciation for the vets and service members!
Nice video. I'd add bigger wheels and tires all around, but especially on the front. It looks kind of funny with those tiny front tires.

I think it needs a same matched tire for the front and a level longer travel front suspension to soak up any bumps
Swap the bolts around on the ammo cans, heads inside the cans. I would cut my hand on the threads every time I removed items out of them.
Great video fellas!
flip the bolts on the ammo cans around so the nut is on the frame side, that way when you reach into the can the ends of the bolts aren't waiting to bust your knuckles.

Bought a used Yerf For my son this summer. That’s all we’ve done is weld on it. In its defense he’s thrashed it.
It really needs larger tires.. I put 20" on front and 24" on back of my spiderbox yerf.
Can y’all install a sound system on a go kart tutorial? Like if you agree.
just get a bluetooth speaker from walmart, zip tie it on when its charged, and go til the batteries are dead.
