I lifted my yerf dog go kart! You guys, it's the best feeling ever riding a lifted kart! Just build a bracket extending the shock mount to the shock, and you'll have to fix the tie rods, and that will leave room for bigger tires up front. Definitely try it! Cheers!
Yall need to revive the all wheel drive kart and put tank treads on it instead tires and lock the steering straight run a track on eachside it will be powered by the front and rear engine and hook it up to turn with 2 levers braking one side to turn instead of a steering wheel
Tracks wouldn't work well with two separate engines driving them because the engines would not be fully synchronized under all loads, so it would be better to have a single drive sprocket on either side to keep the track under consistent tension.
rorybz the only way to know is to try it right. Im sure alot of stuff we wouldnt have in todays world wouldnt be here if someone hadnt told someone it couldnt be done so that person had to prove them wrong lol
yeah i agree woulda liked to see the all wheel drive out there and how it done on the snow! no matter what snow and gokarts ,atvs, snow mobiles, ect equal fun times, you guys should get a snow mobile and take the engine and tread and skis off and build a kart out of them, something i always wanted to do would make a some great vids!
haha :) there is not to many snowkarts on youtube, and dont think any that look like a kart, and i think it would be a fun project just could not use it year round but be just like a sled right? can only use it in the winter, unless your crazy like me! they make great mud toys haha
Just my 2 cents, but if you were to get some meatier tires for the Murray, it might not be that difficult to put some kind of AWD system on it, make it a true offroad cart. You used that 90 degree gearbox on the Rat Wagon, One of those off the rear live axle to send power through a drive shaft to the front, and another one up front to send power to the wheels, and since it's an offroad cart, you wouldn't necessarily need a differential at the front, just maybe some less aggressive treads to allow the tire to scrub a bit more. That engine has the power. Anyhoo, thanks for posting, we'll catch ya next time!
I love riding my ct200 in the snow I put skis on my feet and rip threw the field. I really like watching you upgrade that bike. You can differently tell it has power. I recommend snow blades ski There about 2 or 3 feet long. If you want to try it.
That looked like a lot of fun, I have too much snow to do that in. We had a blizzard last week here in Maine that dumped an OK amount of snow around 16 inches. It came down about 2 inches an hour winds 55 mph with gusts over 67 mph 8 degrees F with a windchill around 20 below zero. We have over three feet on the ground since December 1st.
I do have a place in New Port Richey, Florida but it is too warm for me down there. I don't mind the snow, I do a lot of snowmobiling and cross country skiing just could of done without the two weeks of single digit and colder temps for highs and it was 27 below this past Sunday night.
Tire chains and perhaps some sort of rear weight. Works wonders on garden tractors in the snow and ice, shouldn't be that much different for a kart. The Trailmaster is awesome, thanks for the footage!
Blizzard, lol! 5" is a light snow storm here in PA. Oddly enough we haven't gotten more than i think 2 - 3" here so far. Looks like a blast in the gokarts
yes they do make a plug and play efi my father and i have put one on a kholer v twin. we used to run a small engine repair business up until 2 years ago when he passed away. it went on a 22hp kholer vtwin on a scag zero turn..
I may have a suggestion for your v-twin efi dilema. I think you could run 2 separate efi setups on each cylinder. Just share some of the signals and sensors if you need to. The only thing making that a 2 cylinder is sharing a crank. Definitely would try 2 420cc efi kits
Conn0isseur Dana That’s basically what Bosch did back in the day on the Lamborghini countach, They had Bosch cis injection, and they basically used 2 systems on the v12, where 1 system worked on a 6 cylinder model like a bmw or what have you.
Conn0isseur Dana What they need to do is come up with a word for that. something you came up with totally on your own, only to find out it’s been done. I haven’t seen it done on a v twin and I couldn’t see why not .... throw dollar bills at it until it runs ? 😬
Maybe some paddle or V-tread tires for the drive wheels might give you more bite in that snow you get so often down there in the Carolinas. No wait. The mud. Yeah, snow, too, but mainly the mud.
you guys might want to add a "push bar"to the fronts of those off-road machines....just easier,sometimes...it reminds me of taking my kart on frozen lakes for "dough-nut king" competitions,,,O_O
Its Christmas Morning 2020. Ive restored a Manco Kart and a Yerf DAAWWGG, during quarantine. Cant wait to rip in the fresh snow in Northeast Tn. MERRY CHRISTMAS JOHN & IKE!!!
If you put a set of ITP mud light AT tires on that Yerf Dog it would it would go through that snow and the mud at the ATV park like it was nothing. Love the vids and that y'all always seem to be having a blast with your projects.
I think that there's times when Y'all two guys have way too much fun!!! I'm not sure where the threshold is, but if y'all haven't crossed it a time or two it's not for the lack of trying!!! Thanks for the vids and keep'em coming!
Snow kicked my torque converters’ cabooses back in the day too. It might be the huge, constant load making them super hot (full power all the time, lots of friction from throwing tons of snow). I never really figured it out. Mine were always clean, but they always seized in the snow.
That's odd, seeing as how snowmobiles all use a torque converter setup as well. It would be interesting to see how those are tuned compared to kart torque converters, there might be a simple solution that would prevent them from seizing up.
Butch S. Yes, this is a good point. My guess is that the karts aren’t designed for constant load like that. They’re just designed to be run around a yard in grass with occasional use in dirt. The torque converters on snow mobiles might just be more substantial.
the 110cc and 125cc that iv worked on use the exact same piston so i dont know if the difference is in the stroke or head but dont expect much improvement because I wouldnt be surprised if the displacement is actually the same. And if you use the smaller bottom end you will see no differnce because the top end is likely the same
maybe a 6 wheel cart with 4 wheels in the back that can be converted into tracks similar to a snowmobile or tank. i would love to see this. tell me what you guys think? I know it would probably have steering issues. The furthest back wheels could be non powered and have a little suspension, to act as a adjustable over sized wheelie bar. Lmk what you think. thankyou for the great content.
I'm from PA, in 2 days I'm leaving for North Carolina. About a month ago when we decided to go for my great grandmas birthday party, we thought "this will be fun because it will be warm!" Well shoot.
Chaps... Ever thought of putting a graphic up on the screen with the name when doing first person camera shoots, as tricky to tell who is who when your driving around, especially when you swap carts :)
No its because the clutch is cold and when it engaged it warms up so when it expands on it it gets stuck, this happens on old snow machines a lot after sitting in the cold.
I made an awesome set of snow/ice tires for my go cart and it will rip through a foot of snow no problem actually tears up the grass all the way underneath. I Drove 1.25” self tapping screws from the inside out and had to line the tire with gorilla tape. Tubed it and theyve held air for weeks now and none of the studs have punctured or backed out at all. Should try it it i had same amount of grip as i would on cement in the summer.
Only problem ive encountered is my governer/throttle gets packed with snow and freezes while the throttles wide open and sticks. Covered the whole engine with a tshirt and stuck the exhaust through one of the sleeves and the throttle cable through the neckhole and no sticking anymore.
Let's see the 125cc frankinmotor. Great vid I'm in Canada made a plow for my mini atv. Works great I have both types of motors and the semiauto accelerates faster but the automatic has better top end just takes longer to get there. For off road the semiauto is the way to go.
From my own experience with go carts and specifically the torque converters, they really need to be taken apart and cleaned regularly. I think the recommended interval is every 5 hours, which is frankly so often as to be a pain. I know that the Cars and Cameras guys are busy and don't always do this sort of maintenance regularly, but don't use them as an example to follow in this case. I am enthusiastically looking forward to the day they announce a meetup at Busco Beach. Even if I have a lot of work to do on my carts to keep from being completely outclassed by these guys. Also, looking for recommendations for torque converter for built Predator 212 (we keep overheating the torque converter and it sticks, locking it in high gear, and stalling the engine, even after a thorough cleaning. After a cooldown it goes back to working fine for a while). I would love a new one 40 series that they have shown, used, and talked about, but the price is hard to deal with.
Hey guys! First time commenting. Long time watcher. I greatly enjoy all your content! For the atv, I would try and find a trx125 Honda engine. I think they are semi-auto five speeds. I’m sure as you know Honda makes awesome stuff and the parts are easily found. I’m actually working on an 84 atc 125m. Best of luck and keep the videos comin!
Being is a person who rides quads on a regular basis and love the idea of playing in the snow unfortunately any tall snow will actually stop anything that's only two wheel drive so if you want to play in the snow that's deeper than maybe two in then you will need to increase your game by going 4 wheel AKA maybe trying the all-wheel drive go kart
If y'all still want to lift the go kart, I know an easy way of doing it. So the front suspension is bolted to a bracket up top and bottom. The bottom bracket has three different holes. The outside hole is the lowest the go kart can go, but also its the softest the suspension can be. The inside hole is the highest the go kart can go, but also the most stiff the suspension can be. The middle hole is in between soft and stiff suspension and in between how high and low the go kart is.
I see in someone's comments doing tank treads basically like an all drive system and you can use two Motors to separate systems the best way throttle it to steer I think that would be a great idea that something you should implicate you wouldn't be able to do the reverse like you would with an actual tank thing but you could actually lock one wheel up and create the vehicle to turn left by throttling the left side engine and vice versa
I used to love snow until I changed jobs. I have to clean it up now and I really hate snow. Lots of plowing, shoveling, salting and stuff. It wouldn't be as bad if I didn't have to start at 4 AM so it can all be cleaned up before everyone else gets there. Supposed to get 4-6 more inches Friday night. :(
I’ve had an idea for a while that would be interesting for ya’ll to try. I’ve always wanted to run two torque converters in series, i.e. the driven clutch of the 1st converter being the input for the driver of the 2nd torque converter. I always thought this would be very interesting on an off-road kart/buggy because of the double reduction, and if I’m right, the drive load will be distributed between the two belts, which would reduce slipping, heat, and wear. If two 40 series converters were used, you would have a very low crawl ratio of 5.90:1 (2.43 x 2.43), while still achieving the 1:1 high ratio. By running slightly different springs and pucks in the two systems, the converters would shift at different rates creating even more ratios that were not there before. Of course the 44 series could also be used for even lower gearing (2.83 low), but the high ratio would be limited to 1.24 for a 44 / 40 combination. Anyhow, this would be awesome to see ya’ll try this out on a build. If it works out, we all will have an awesome and cost effective way to achieve great performance gearing.
Hey i have a baja worrier with a predator 212 motor on it removed the governor and made my own straight pipe for it what kind of gearing can i use to get to top speeds of like around 50mph or more
My cub cadet lawn mower has a fuel injected v-twin. Have you also looked at the Ninja 650, Suzuki Sv650 bikes? Pretty efi was available in the newer years.
I have a question I would appreciate if you answered it in your next video I am building a go kart myself and I was wondering how to get the right size wheel hub for my life axle
Yurf dog and Murray both have the same problem, tires. I was watching the tires spin and it's just like my lawn mower, the treads fill up with mud and snow and they lose all traction.
May have to look for a wrecked commercial mower from like Scag, or ExMark. They have EFI V-twin from Kawasaki and Kohler, maybe you can strip the parts and drop it on the Predator.
You shouldve whipped out the AWD go Kart in the snow.
Could of been ripping it
Not having plug and play has never stopped you two... it'll be fine... make it work. Boost it!
I lifted my yerf dog go kart! You guys, it's the best feeling ever riding a lifted kart! Just build a bracket extending the shock mount to the shock, and you'll have to fix the tie rods, and that will leave room for bigger tires up front. Definitely try it! Cheers!

VoxHdTv i would take an old shopping cart use the basket as a frame and put snowmobile tracks on it lol call it the grocery getter

lol looks like fun. might have to create a new rule for your toys: wash them before they get put away.
what about the awd go-kart in the snow????
No 4wd snowcart?
cracklingice No
That woods run looked like a blast and the mini bike looked and sounded beast!! NC snow day!!!
I love riding my ct200 in the snow I put skis on my feet and rip threw the field. I really like watching you upgrade that bike. You can differently tell it has power. I recommend snow blades ski There about 2 or 3 feet long. If you want to try it.

i cant decide which is stranger...grown men ridding around on kids toys or me, a grown man WATCHING men ride around on kids toys
Or the fact that you felt the need to comment
Loved that comment. I feel the same hahaha. I dont care what anyone says I'm 27 and love go karts and mini bikes and probably will until I die
they aiint kids toys tho
Im 41 and still play/build carts. Cant wait til im 70 so i can do the same with the grand kids
none you dinner utensil
I waited all afternoon to get home to watch this video... You boys made it worth the wait. I had lots of fun watching you play in the snow. 😀

Y'all should make some studded snow/ice tires for a few karts and go ice racing
up here in canada we use tire chains on our 2x4 atv's. you can go anywhere :)
yes they do make a plug and play efi my father and i have put one on a kholer v twin. we used to run a small engine repair business up until 2 years ago when he passed away. it went on a 22hp kholer vtwin on a scag zero turn..

My thought too. Would be a complex setup though!
Jamie W
No doubt.
Haha hit a bump, and a wire shakes loose and kills 1 cylinder ...shakes head wtf is goin on here ?
Maybe some paddle or V-tread tires for the drive wheels might give you more bite in that snow you get so often down there in the Carolinas. No wait. The mud. Yeah, snow, too, but mainly the mud.
In the summer, you guys should by a mini cup stock car and make a project out of that! Also, mini cups are almost like go karts...
Love this video. Makes me want to get a go cart instead of the mini bikes I have been working on. Keep up the great work.
Hey guys. Put tire chains on. That is what I have on my garden tractor and it is bad ass! Ray
you guys might want to add a "push bar"to the fronts of those off-road machines....just easier,sometimes...it reminds me of taking my kart on frozen lakes for "dough-nut king"
competitions,,,O_O
We do the same thing here with mini ATVs!
Have fun!
The beard suits you, Isaac.
Its Christmas Morning 2020. Ive restored a Manco Kart and a Yerf DAAWWGG, during quarantine. Cant wait to rip in the fresh snow in Northeast Tn. MERRY CHRISTMAS JOHN & IKE!!!
Use the AWD kart!!!
What kinda fun would that be!?!
@@wille.m9585 a lot
Up in Ny where i live we have a foot and a half of snow right now. But yeah this looks fun as hell
We got about 4 inches of snow down here in Beaufort SC which is unheard of. BTW, the beard looks great
Get some real chunky mud tires for the yerf dog and do a decent lift on it! Really really wanna see that!
both carts need taller tires up front, ATV type tires in the rear. for snow a pair of ski's up front could be a lot of fun too.
you guys should do a new AWD go kart build BTW if the comments didnt know , the AWD go kart is all twisted up
If you put a set of ITP mud light AT tires on that Yerf Dog it would it would go through that snow and the mud at the ATV park like it was nothing. Love the vids and that y'all always seem to be having a blast with your projects.
With the beard now Isaac and his brother look just alike. His brother has been in few videos in the past.
looks like fun we didnt get any snow (or ice for that matter lol)im just below you in s.c. we did drop to 12 degrees on the coldest day
Low rpm for getting started in snow. ya don't wanna spin 'em... until you get moving, then all bets are off! looked like a good time!
Just yesterday I was like "I wonder where the yerf dog is"
I think that there's times when Y'all two guys have way too much fun!!! I'm not sure where the threshold is, but if y'all haven't crossed it a time or two it's not for the lack of trying!!!
Thanks for the vids and keep'em coming!

That is more snow then we currently have in Regina Saskatchewan, Canada.
That blue bike is a beast, had me cracking up going up that little hill kicking it every which a way

Looks be a lot of fun!
Chaps... Ever thought of putting a graphic up on the screen with the name when doing first person camera shoots, as tricky to tell who is who when your driving around, especially when you swap carts :)
cars and cameras i have done some research and ecotrons has an efi kit for 400cc to 800cc engines and can be used with v twins

when you guys start working on the 670 dragster again you should try a blower. a smog pump of a 68 bug or porche works great, keep up the good work.
Looks like a whole heap of fun!
This year was bull crap. Texas got more snow than where I live in wisconsin...
Nolan Patterson you mean Mississippi right ?
Notsavagepinks them too! Although we finally got a good amount of snow this week, so I am happy! Haha
Haha that year was crap welcome to 2020
MAN,I love your guys' vids....FRANKEN-MOTOR !!!....COOL !!
Man that looks fun, time to put some better tires on my 12.5hp Briggs Kart and play!
Yall I've been a fan since before the turbo drift trike
9:25
He’s digging a drainage ditch lol.
Does the black gokart have a predator 212cc engine cause it’s lighter and has more power than the yerf dog
Didn't slide around near as much as you guys did when I took my buggy out and around. Great video
Let's see the 125cc frankinmotor. Great vid I'm in Canada made a plow for my mini atv. Works great
I have both types of motors and the semiauto accelerates faster but the automatic has better top end just takes longer to get there. For off road the semiauto is the way to go.
Awww man. Would have loved to see the awd kart out there. I bet it would have ripped and torn up all that snow too.

How is it that EVERYWHERE but central VA got snow? I mean if its gonna be 0 degrees it better be snowing. I want snow!
I am glad you guys put the Subaru on but the only problem is it needs better tires
Hey guys! First time commenting. Long time watcher. I greatly enjoy all your content! For the atv, I would try and find a trx125 Honda engine. I think they are semi-auto five speeds. Lucky I live in MN and we have lass that 1" I wish we had more
Ike, that beard kicks ass! you absolutely have to keep it
So awesome you get snow like that, im from Cali✌✌
we dont usually get snow

Loved my Yerf dog in low snow!
The bike is a beast... Love it....
Man I got street tires on my dirtbike and they didn't do nothin but spin, had to wait until the snow was all melted 😂
Should try and find you one of them 6x6 amphibias atvs now that would be sweet to tool around with and it really would go over most any terrain lol
I’ve had an idea for a while that would be interesting for ya’ll to try. When you filled the Yerf dog, you should have brought a strap. It has a rack for a reason.
You should make a single seat small dune buggy, with a 420.
Great job editing, fun episode
AWD Full suspension go kart would be sick. Maybe separate 212 motor up front or something to power front axle?
Lawn mower or large snowblower tire chains work wonders guys.
"Playin in the snow" !....."Drinkin a coffee " !....."Fixin the Torque Convertor"..."Do'in Slides" !
Hey i have a baja worrier with a predator 212 motor on it removed the governor and made my own straight pipe for it what kind of gearing can i use to get to top speeds of like around 50mph or more
You guys should get some more rounded tires for the rear of those karts and you will get way better grip on snow.
introducing carsandcameras....stormchasers!!!!
Harley 883 efi...
If you guys ever come across the old Honda Pilot snatch it up! Loads more fun than its small cousin the Odessy
When Ike was burning out on the driveway in front of the garage I was waiting for him to fire a rock or something through a house or car window lol.
You guys should rig up some sort of reverse on the carts! That would definitely be awesome!
i think yall need to do some studded tires! just simple bolts from the hardware store and washers!
I'm liking the beard ikes going with👍
My cub cadet lawn mower has a fuel injected v-twin. Have you also looked at the Ninja 650, Suzuki Sv650 bikes? Pretty efi was available in the newer years.
Must do a atv motor. Thinking about doing it to a gokart. Live axle long frame go-kart that's been sitting for a few years
I have a question I would appreciate if you answered it in your next video I am building a go kart myself and I was wondering how to get the right size wheel hub for my life axle
What's the best mini bike snow tire (or paddle tire) for a 19 x 7.00-8??
I’ve driven in the snow in my yerf dog and can relate to how much fun it is!By the way, is the garage door okay?
It would be so cool if you got a manual clutch from go power sports for one of your go karts or minibikes.
Now that is a good time!
