Hey Andy! What a great dad! If you would like some bigger wheels/tires to put on the drive axle, stop by. I have a bunch of them from old riding lawnmowers. Hell, you could even set yourself up with the makings of a racing lawnmower! Old CG Steve on Bonnie Lane, Alba
2:13 without that tube going from the intake to the cylinder head (giving the crank case a slightly negative pressure), I found that oil would spurt out the oil sensor wire.
Ive had a commercial grounds maintenance business for over 45 years. In that time l've become a decent shade tree mechanic, having grown up working on our farm machinery with my dad. Love the phrase...all you need is fuel and spark....your kids are going to grow up well by watching n helping out! Love your homespun philosophy mate!
Yep with the great ethanal fuel now a days these carbs need cleaned about every year… I highly recommend at the end of the season running a mower till it completely runs out of fuel and dies, then crank her over a few more times to get all the fuel out of it!!! It will help keep it from varnishing up over the winter months
Took me right back to twelve years old and dad brought home this clapped out go cart. Dad, me and my brother spent two days getting that thing to roll, steer, stop and run. My brother and I wore that go cart out!
These modern small carbed engines are so simple to work on, but 99% of people throw them away. Mowers, strimmers, go karts most of the only need a simple clean or diaphragm change or a litte manual tuning to bring them back to life!!
Nothing like seeing a smile on the kids and dad remember those days what fun growing up poor and living on a dirt road what i mean poor is not having no worries grew up on a 26 acre farm no regrets enjoy watching
“You don’t get to be poor and safe” - Andy. That’s my brothers and I growing up pulling an old power wheel with a dirt bike because we couldn’t afford more dirt bikes.
I just got a JD Gator for free a few weeks ago because it was rotting in a field. Aired up two tires, extra spicy wobble juice, and she fired right up. Clutch was the reason it got benched. Diagnosed a weight in the clutch was getting hung up at wide open throttle, just left the cover off the tap it free when it manages to hang up and it’s getting used everyday at Crossroads Farm down state. Good times.
Tires around the next to the trees and fence posts for sure. I'd found a few immovable objects when I was younger. Could have prevented some stitches for sure.
1st rule of marketplace small engine finds is you don't take it off the truck until you get it running. I'm not say I can't get down on the ground to work on it , but I am saying getting back up might be an
Ive got some race parts for that engine a billet rod billet flywheel them things can double power very cheap ive got new flat top piston all you need is cam valve springs and a cheap carb header and bam 14hp😊
I’m glad I’m not the only person that thinks like you Andy. If I don’t know it I would think we’re related lol keeper wobbling buddy. Be safe and god bless ya
I've never heard more truth than, "You don't get to be poor & safe at the same time."
Same sentiment!
It brought a smile to my 70 yo face watching the boys enjoying the cart.
Hell! I WAS the boy on that cart!
Love seeing a Dad that is actually a Dad. You and Carlos are awesome parents, may you be blessed beyond measure.
"Get them started early they won't have any money for drugs." Truer (is that even a word?) words were never spoken!
I could feel the fun and excitement of every bump they hit, from 55 years ago. Thank you!!
also had a laugh at that especially since some of my friends are into engines and repairing cars and yeah constantly broke bc parts cost money.

After they've ridden it for a few days you have got to make that rear end a straight axle. The fun these boys can have on a farm on a go-kart!
That awesome!! Let them boys have some great fun and it’s a memory they will have for life. Great job DaD👍👍👍
2:13 without that tube going from the intake to the cylinder head (giving the crank case a slightly negative pressure), I found that oil would spurt out the oil sensor wire.
That was a memory that my son and I enjoyed. Thanks for sharing.
yall try not to die that was the greatest.
I love to see you and your boys . Love and blessings to you and your family

That is a full on dad win.
Funny how, at that age, I could ride those for days. Watching the POV shots, my back hurts now😮 Hope you guys are doing great. Keep wobbling!

" you don't get to be poor and safe at the same time" I love ❣️ it because it's true.
They’ll remember that gocart forever! And the ruts in the driveway will fade... or grow depending on what kind of truck they get🤣
Great memories in the making! You have some happy boys, great job Dad!!
Loved this video! Those boys are gonna have a blast! You're an awesome Dad! Nice find! God bless.😊❤

You guys make me happy! Thank you, please keep the videos coming. I want to ride it now!
6:30 I realize this is mainly a religious preference but I am a firm believer in unbolting the fuel bowl and washing out any layer of sand or crud.
Fantastic video Andy Blessings on your family.
Same way I learned. Watching my Daddy and reviving old engines! Love it!
This Canadian has been watching and enjoying your videos from the start of your channel. Keep on keeping on! Love it!

Husband bought a go cart for my girls. The adults and kid in the family had a blast on that thing over the years.
Good job Dad. Way to go. I learned at an early age how to work on small engines with my own used go cart. Excellent video sir.

"There is a way to govern that back a little bit, but that wouldn't be no fun"...😅
LET 'ER WOBBLE!
Nice resurrection there. I’m building one with my boys right now. It is a beast but should be a blast when we get it done. Cheers
Thank you for showing that homestead life can be a blast!
Good to see that you passed the toe touch portion of the PRT!!!🤣
Tires around the next to the trees and fence posts for sure. I'd found a few immovable objects when I was younger. Could have prevented some stitches for sure.
Chain guard, chain guard, chain guard. Surely you can rig up something. Looks like fun!
Get a solid one piece axle for the rear end. That will introduce tons of fun for all the kids! That's how you learn how to drift. 🙂🙂
From one involved Dad to another, Respect
Man, your boys are getting big! What fun!
Awesome stuff happy for the boys!! That looks so fun! Good stuff bro!
You’re a great dad and don’t ever forget it!!
Love your videos. Keep Making them!
I'd love to be able to afford to subscribe to your second tier of Patreon.
Please consider putting "Behind-the-scenes content" on the lower tier.
Love your videos! Keep up the good work!
Major Dad points!!
a little go kart like that is great for kids teaches the idea of driving early
You are being an awesome Dad!!! 👍👍👍👍
This brings back good memories, ones those kids will make and remember like I do
Awesome find. Now the boys will have to learn mechanics and a wee bit of throttle control. And get a job to pay for the gas, 😉
Now let them relist it on marketplace for $350 and be on the lookout for the next $75 deal. Men in the making. 🤜
Damn Good Dad. I just relived my youth.
Best episode yet!
Dude I had no idea you were back at it and after a look it turns out you’ve been back for a over year! Good to see
I always wish I had one growing up. So awesome you got one!

Great job Andy!

CLR works wonders cleaning out fuel tanks. Eats the rust and varnish
good point about getting kids addicted to cars instead of drugs; the tires lining the dangerous edges are a good idea
Love it. Don’t get to be poor and safe at the same time. 😂
every kid needs a go-kart so much fun
Tires or hay bails...either will work. 😂
Good job Andy starting them off early
Absolutely making memories with your kids❤❤
I’m glad I’m not the only person that thinks like you Andy. If I don’t know it I would think we’re related lol keeper wobbling buddy. Be safe and god bless ya
Rusty gas tank fix: clean pea gravel and water, then shake it like crazy. Repeat. Knocks the rust off and it will be shiny in no time.
You're an awesome dad God Bless you
Parenting. You're doing it right.
This is totally awesome!!!
I discovered my hat was covered in fire ants as andy discovered the air filter was too.
I agree, rather uncomfortable.
That brings back some memories!
You're a great dad!!❤
Great video andy!
Is that a first gen Dakota . Awesome.
Love it, Andy
i feel my morals aching from the jarring of the ride. lol
Your the best Andy!
$75 will bring many days of fun for the kids, cheaper then a x box plus they are out side
Awesome video.👍
Nothing better than a dad that'll throw their kid in a 4 wheel death machine to build some character!
Build them a little dirt oval track. 🙏🏼🇺🇸😎✌🏼
Gotta fix that one wheel peel issue. But this is great.
So very cool, those are some lucky boys.
I truly enjoyed 😂!!!
Great video!
Good job, Dad.
Don't throw that perfectly good weed killer on a fire! And sometimes you get rid of something because it has a harbor freight engine on it.
Awesome.....just like when I was a kid
Andy I’ve never see anyone dunk a carb in that cleaner with bowl and float still on it haha.
Well done dad!
My dad made a go kart from scratch. The motor I think was from an old washing machine. It would do 50 on pavement.
Way to go dad! Way to go.
Let R wobble.. a fun find Andy
