I had my wife do a 4 minute cervical towel traction on me and it was the first pain relief I've had in 3 days! Thank you!!!!
Gentleman you are amazing. Thank you so much for this video. I have learned so much. I purchased a door-handle-hanging neck hammock but then when it arrived I was scared to use it. You have given me the information I need to assess myself first and the confidence that the hammock will then be ok to use. God bless you.
I just tried this and pulled a little and heard a massive pop between my ears and a whole lot of relief wow thank you
Just tried the towel method myself and it felt good releave to my shoulders. Thank you sir and God bless your work
Oh my that Jingle I'm in love
Thanks Bob & Brad for all the videos that you make to help people. I request you to make a video on 'How to correct Lateral curvature in thoracic spine' / Curvature to the left or right in the thoracic spine.

tanks
You guys are so cool. anyone who says otherwise is only kinda right. But I think you rock.i share your vids all the time
Dear Sir, thank you for this video. I have been diagnosed with neurogenic Thoracic Outlet Syndrome with a cervical rib in C7 on the left side. A cervical traction unit is being used for my PT. Is it advisable and good to use this for my condition? If you could please let me know I would appreciate it very much. Thank you!
My c6 and c7 are too arthritic for Traction to help. Overcompensates the good discs.
ok. But what if there isn't more pain upon pressing the top of the head? Or the arm pain doesn't really go away on the first time doing traction?
What do you think of Ring Dinger or Y Strap?
can this method be used for Cervical Flexion Excercises as well?
What do you think of the 99 to 150 dollar neck traction braces sold online that adjust in 3 directions?
Can you do lumbar also?? Mine always feel so closely packed together, even more in quarantine
I know its a late comment, but try classical stretch/essentrics. It's $15 to join, and though you get a whole body exercise, she mainly focuses on the spine. You stream the service.
In the early 90’s I ended up in hospital after a car accident with the neck in leather harness and weights, lying on my back for a week.
Had a recurring accident few years ago. Trouble now. Difficulty breathing.
For me , feels good but still is some pain because I ha a big TARLOV CYSTS in the right side base of neck and 4 small on left side but at the same time, I have Myofascial syndrome 😲😲
What do you guys think of the less sophisticated traction device offered RUclips?
Kathleen Taras Kul (crazy Russian hacker) tested one and, apart from hitting himself on the head with it, said it was amazing.
You can't do this wwithout vector of dedtructive force on MRI !
watching this on my phone bended and hurting my neck
I am sitting with my neck heat pad on as I watch this!
Same
My daughter told me that heat makes neck hernias swell and pain gets worse. She recommends cold packs, with occasional short hot packs for contrast treatments.
Is this ok to do if you have lost the curve in your neck?
Yes, all of my discs are compressed in my neck and I've lost the curve in my neck too. I've been legally disabled due to my neck pain since an auto accident in 2006. I'm in pain management and am on narcotics 24/7 to treat the #10 pain. When I can no longer achieve pain relief I have a family member perform traction as shown in the video. If you've lost the curve in your spine the way to achieve pain relief is to put the curve back, obviously, so it helps if they lift straight up and then pull. They can alternate between both positions, pulling straight back and holding, release. Then lift straight up, hold, then release. Pull straight up, then pull back, hold, then release. Any combo for as long as possible is fine. If you experience tightness and/burning you can relax your neck and have them pull their right hand up, then left, then right, then left etc. Your neck will naturally turn/fall back and forth from side to side thus working/strengthening your neck. Basically they are just shaking your head from side to side for you but it releases tension, relaxes and strengthens your neck and improves range of motion in your neck. Not only does it help to keep steady tension on the neck, like they said, for several minutes straight or until your partner gets tired but they can apply tension in several sets resting in between too, if that is easier for them. The longer, overall, that you are able to remain in traction the better but even just a few minutes can bring relief. Sometimes your neck will crack doing this and that is always extremely satisfying but it's not necessary to obtain relief, usually. It's also common to experience more substantial pain relief the following day rather than instant pain relief. Remember, you are stretching a lot of soar and outright painful muscles so don't expect to go from a #10 pain to zero just by cracking your neck. It's similiar to starting a new workout routine. The relief will come slowly over a matter of hours or overnight after completing your traction. When you first start, go very slow and don't overwork your neck. Take it easy, gradually increase your traction and give it a few hours. This is THE ONLY way to reduce my pain without a combo of very strong narcotics, muscle relaxers and anti-inflammatory meds and THE ONLY way to get relief when those meds stop working or can no longer relieve my pain. If you are able to do this for 5-15 minutes a night, every night then you'll probably get and remain pain free, even if you suffer from forward head posture induced daily. (From long hours on desk duty or computer/phone use) My family is scared to do this because they are afraid they will break my neck & end up killing me. It's possible, there was a Instagram model killed by her Chiropractor a few years back when he was cracking her neck but just becareful, like I said. Go slow, don't over due it or rush it and you'll be fine. Also, I use a simular machine, the blue & black one that you lay on, strap your head into and has 2 pumps. One for the neck and one for your back. The machine in the video only does the neck. It's designed to push your neck back into its correct position when you pump it up. It literally pushes your neck back into place. The last time I saw one online it was about $100-$150. You could probably pick one cup even cheaper now. I hope this helps. Good luck to you, may you feel better soon!
@@ohmygoddessxoxo7046 thanks so much!
👍👍👍
abdominal hernia surgery after take lumber traction
Brad almost Epsteined Bob on the internet
Is that Norm McDonald's brother? Cause I'm pretty sure they sound exactly the same.
it says 'self' traction in the title and then shows a maneuver that requires someone to be there
Norm MacDonald voices
thats a shower rod lol
U both look like shawn Michaels and triple H
Please learn the difference between pounds (of traction) and pressure. You didn't apply 10 pounds of pressure early in the video, it was 10 pounds of force. Pressure is the amount of force acting on a certain area, i.e., pounds per square inch.
15 min video. Only 15 seconds worth of content. Only blabber and jabber
Garbage video basically
