Same, even our annual training is virtual. It kinda sucks for us
I'm in the army reserve we have been doing virtual drill since April. I'm going on deployment in October.
Did you willing want to get deployed? Or did they order you?
@@togarhd My old supply Sergeant asked us a group of 92y's did we want to deploy. I was chosen out the group to go to another unit to deploy.

The marine corps reserve has been doing teledrills but we did AT in person at fort pickett. And we're gonna do rifle qual next month so i'm assuming that we're done with the teledrills and will just have our temps checked and be required to wear masks while at the HTC

@@easycompany6384 drink plenty of water it was oh so hot out there. Our command order us to take out our sappie plates from our flaks and we started doing our force on force training without any headgear just to make things a little bit more bearable and yet we still had people heat case

I've been on active duty orders through the California National Guard on Title 32 status, so we've have a lot of work the past several months with covid and riots lol

YouReallyDontKnow stfu. Army actually has a good reputation of keep idiots who cause these riots and put them back in line. This helps cause the governor or mayor to stop crying once these riots go too far. People like who can’t understand such and give a bad representation of this nation.

I'm in the reserves too. Our unit has been meeting on teams. Even BLC, I just got BLC done virtually as well.
They re-opened up for new reqruits in my country the other month and I sent in my application. Will do ASVAB next month.

I got out of ait last month, so far I’ve only had virtual drills but we’re still having anual training next month, I’m so lost cause I don’t know anything about my unit and don’t know how things work in a reserve unit 😔

Don’t worry Reserve life is normally pretty chill. Of course I bet it varies from unit to unit. Stay sharp don’t get to lazy with customs. I go to parade rest and attention for my company NCOs and Officers and normally they tell me to just relax.
Dont sweat. Over 6 years of Army Reserves and a tour. I will tell you drills are easy, just be on time, right uniform, 10 minutes prior, do the admin stuff, go to parade rest when talking to a SGT you aren't "friends" with or you know they are a stickler for that, Reserve life is pretty chill. Deployments depend on you unit, my unit is at Brigade level so my Deployment would be different from those at Company level.
im active duty and we are still going like normal. just did rotation at ntc.
Had my AT earlier this month it was in person we did matinance for 2 weeks. We only had 2 months off of drill but did 1 months on 12 hours of classes

I'm a graduate at Delta 551 have been stuck here waiting for my orders to come through for 2 months .There is so much stuff that active army is doing due to Corona ... SMFH

Army reserves in Canada in Ontario Just have the main important people and everyone else/lower ranks on stand by and like you there virtual training. Not sure if it’s the same elsewhere

As of March 2021, my unit is STILL drilling "virtually". Readiness, teamwork and morale have gone completely into the toilet. It's fkng ridiculous. Someone at USARC needs to get their head out of their ass.
On a side note, we share our armory/facility with the National Guard; they resumed in-person drills six months ago. I guess COVID is only a threat to reservists.. lol

When you’re in basic training, how and when can you send letters and when will you have time to write them or read them?
On sundays you can write letters or when you are in personal time, your DS will let you know. There is a mail box near the formation site.

Up here in Utah we just did physical AT for 2 weeks. Just did temp checks, screening everyday and mask at all times. Setting up a dash in 100+ weather with masks suck.

Im on Covid orders in miami but these orders are voluntary so everyone who chose not to is still coming to the unit for normal drill once a month

Army should have mandatory call of duty sessions with PT as a punishment with a crappy K/D ratio
Do Army enlisted members salute to NCOs of other branches in uniform? I ask because my brother just graduated and my step father is a SSGT in the Air Force... always thought itd be a funny thing to see him salute to our step father considering neither of them like each other at all.
