Hey Matt, talking to a recruiter on Thursday, I have a few questions. The main one, what's the benefit of deployment? I have a family and the army is offering great benefits for myself as well as them. Is it going to be worth leaving them for (x) amount of time?
Skill level=E4 and below 10. E-5= 20. E-6=30 E-7=40, etc. So, if the requirement say s 25B30, looking for an E-6, however, if someone is E-5P in that field they can get on the list.
Any reserve mobilization over 29,000 deducts from Army end strength. At least during “peace time”. This in effect limits reserve/guard deployment to 29,000. The Army Reserve/National Guard is around 550,000. Deployments are usually one year. So statistically, absent another Iraq or Afghanistan war, chances of being deployed, probably once during a 20 year career. Of course some units deploy more often. Others less. It’s a simple mathematical equation. With deployment schedule, most units won’t be deployed during a 4 or 5 year cycle. Again do the math.

If your national guard/reserve....its easy to "volunteer" for deployment without using mobcop/tour of duty (hint: it sucks)...anyways what you need to do is google units that are deploying or getting ready to deploy, or call your buddies from basic/ait...then you need to talk to that state's/unit's recruiter and ask to transfer to that unit to deploy...it work almost every time...as long as your GREEN on everything and you contact them early (not too early, unless you want to do drills with that unit prior) but also not to late
Since you would most likely be going to Latin America, wouldn't you just be stationed at a base rather than be deployed? I am not sure if I am correct, but civil affairs reserves are not considered special operations, only active duty. I think they perform very similar tasks though.

Why do you have unit patches of units you've never been in? You know nothing about deployability. Do not give random statistics and whether or not units are "up to the task". You get orders, you deploy, you go home. You don't prove you're able to do the job until you are at the mob site, already on order, and complete the equivalent of a situational training exercise. “Reservists are civilians who like to dress up and pretend they’re in the military”-DWK videos
tell that to the reservists that get killed while deployed
Izaiah_so_wavy you fail to realize Army Reservists are standby, but it doesn’t mean they don’t get deployed because they do... sometimes after AIT or whatever other training. For example, Combat Engineers.
WHAT COLOR WAS THE BOARD BOYS!
Alfonzo Williams you failed to see the humor from which I quoted this from a navy corpsman . Enjoy the humor and go on about your day
Andre's that’s literally impossible and why you gotta take a negative look on this joke? Why can’t you just enjoy the humor and move on
can you ask to get deployed?
I need to get in contact to matt ward.
Are you a 2nd lieutenant? Just wondering haha
Maybe you're lucky Matt with training not just also pandemic affect the deployment as well.
You probably won't answer this but... I am 17, female and I want to join the Marines or Army but I don't know what to chose. Also If you are 17 do they spit you up into age groups or do you all train together? Help me out... Thank you for your service and time :)
You all train together. Age does not matter. I'm not sure about gender wise. The military has changed so much since I've been out I have no idea on that anymore. No females were allowed in combat MOSs back then so it was all males. But that has changed now.
GO, AIR, FORCE, OR, GO, OFFICER, ROUTE - prior enlisted Marine.
What's your height bro
Then you're lucky.
6 years no deployment lmao that’s tough .......
Do you know any Marine youtubers
Nava used to do marine stuff
@@jaketaylor2923 he’s using the Corps as a way of promoting, there’s nothing wrong with that. Which gave him a head start in life after EAS but, one thing that I disagree with him is by using his channel to promote bs stuff. To those high school kids charging them $100 of dollars when they can literally get it for free from their recruiters by showing to their workout twice a week.
I love hering or story baby I love ❤❤❤
I’ll trade you
At any point in training do you and the drill Sargent have a normal conversation
As the leader of my platoon I talked to them everyday. But it wasn't really a conversation. The most "normal" that I talked to them was when my head DS was training me for the soldier of the cycle board at the end of basic. Some DS may be more friendly though.
Cause you're a POG!😂 Just kidding...
😂 LMAO. I was thinking the same thing.
It's all good though. I like listening to army talk no matter the MOS, brings back memories.
Did I miss something? Why does Matt have a black eye?
My partner James ward is in Afghanistan he has a Commander what's that mean he's busy
Nah man 🗣
Lucky you, Afghanistan is over (for now)
can almost guarantee matt is deployed now that biden is in
Civil affairs isn't sf this dude an LT that should tell you enough lol
Civil Affairs is part of SOCOM so they’re special operations, but not special forces. Also, he was prior enlisted before commissioning
Sup
Matt’s a POG
Lmfaooo!!
Okay Rambo.
Matt's a POG lol
Yepp So is 97% of the Army lol
Matt Ward pog’s make the machine work
You are on here telling people about the army you are a reservist #1 and with that being said 6 years reserve time maybe 14 months active maybe maybe dude. It irritates me guys get on here and tell kids about the army and you know nothing about the army and your on here monitizing it!!! And your a paper pusher!! Ntc and jrtc certifies the unit for combat!! Lastly if you have people in your unit that you know can't deploy their paperwork needs to be started they need to be chaptered
BLUF: DO NOT FOLLOW THIS GUY'S ADVICE! This is a RUclips channel, not a place to learn about the military
You have been in 5.5 years and you just finished BOLC in 2019 (4.5 years in)? Ugh. You're an S-6 OIC with a year out of BOLC? You S-6 Soldiers are probably wondering why it took so long and question your leadership.
How to Deploy:
1. Unit is deployed
2. You're individually selected to fill a deployment
3. You volunteer and are approved to deploy with a deploying unit.
Civil affairs is under USACAPOC but is not Special Forces.
Don't be surprised if the IG has a few questions for you after seeing these RUclips videos.
I guess that explains why this goober stopped posting hahah!
Am i first...:333
Yes
does it really matter?
Bro that facial hair has gotta go. Keep and grow the stash instead.
You haven't deployed bc you're a reserve.... kinda simple.
I'm in the reserves I deploying right now.
Reserves deploy dude, idk where you get your information
@@jaketaylor2923 with what training?
LionRS2014 reserves get the same training as active duty, they go to basic, AIT, have schools, not sure what you mean.
@@jaketaylor2923 yeah but after 10 years.. that training goes away.. that's how the brain works.. you can't stay good at something you don't do and drill 1 weekend every month.. ain't gonna cut it dude.. common sense.
