A number of YT Channels that I was following a year ago have also 'disappeared', possibly for similar reasons, usually without warning or explanation. I think we will just have to wait and see if Matt is able to come back 'on air' in the future, and I hope he does.

I would further add that issues with cyberspace, particularly the ongoing anti-Western activities of the Russian Federation, are also a key reason why the leadership of the US Military may well choose to prevent particular serving members of the Armed Forces from divulging any details of policies, tactics, strategies or indeed any other information on social media, and the simplest and most obvious method is an overall ban on such activities.

I was in a long time ago and messed up got kicked out but I’m still young enough to re-enlist in the National Guard so that’s what I’m doing and like you I have never wanted to do anything more in my life. I didn’t do it right the first go around and will gain so much more from it as a more mature person and be more valuable to the Army. Side note: Did you tell your recruiter you smoke bud? Do you have to get a waiver?

I found Matt's wife's Facebook page. She has lots of recent pictures. Same with his mother's Facebook page. Matt is totally fine. I will say that I am disappointed in him for just suddenly quitting RUclips without any explanation. He had a huge following, and I think he owed it to us to let us know that he was going to stop making videos. Even if the Army told him to stop, he could have at least told us he was fine but was taking a break from RUclips. We all worried about him and didn't know if he was dead or alive.

Speaking to an Official Army Recruiter is essential when applying to join the US Military, and they have all the accurate, current information at their fingertips, so there is no point in trying to avoid this step. Tips for getting ready to pass the Entry Tests include working daily on your physical fitness, learning how the ASVAB Test works, reading books about the modern Army and being sure that you are aware of the current world situation regarding areas where the US Army may be involved in the foreseeable future. This guy has dropped from the face of the earth. MW is one of the most up front RUclips personalities regarding the army. Guy’s MIA or something. Gone without a trace. Something dramatic and last minute had to have happened for someone with this following to disappear. Hoping it’s not something serious or devastating to home but I’ve been checking his social media for months and don’t see anything.
Matt suddenly dropped off the grid in December 2020. There are indications that he may have been the victim of an internet 'romance scam' which involved his identity being stolen. All of his social media accounts have been closed or are dormant. The situation is odd, because any legal issues should have been resolved before now, and I would have expected him to have posted some form of update to inform his may fans of the situation.
This man always seemed strong mentally. And very helpful in my learning on what to know before joining the Army. Really hope all is well. And that his absence is work related and not health related.

I wondered the same and did some digging. It appears he had some unfortunate allegations thrown against him. Something to do with multiple social media accounts being used to scam and threaten women for money. Absolutely no clue if there is any merit to them (I desperately hope not), but he went MIA on all social media platforms. Like I said, I'm really hoping they're not true because he's been a great and uplifting presence on this platform, but either way I'm sure its been an extremely difficult situation for him. :(

It’s unclear if they are falsified or sent by accounts posing to be Matt, something that had happened to him in the past. I’d like to give him the benefit of the doubt though, and the whole situation breaks my heart.

Hey Matt & Kelee, there are accounts impersonating Matt on Instagram sending people messages acting as if Matt ( profile says Nathan Ward ) is being flirtatious etc. I reported the one that messaged me but I did notice there are more on Insta and possibly Facebook.

I found on linkedin that he started a job as a programmer some 1 year and 8 months ago, roughly the time he left this channel. Maybe he simply wanted to leave the army behind?
My guess is that he finally got a deployment, but who really knows. It would probably make sense for him to not announce it, because that could probably be considered a security breach. It's anyone's guess though.
Matt Ward may not be aware that RUclips can, at their sole discretion, delete any Account if a Content Creator has not submitted any Uploads for six months or more. Obviously that risk could now affect this site, and if Matt is still reading these Comments, and intends to restart activity on YT at some time in the future, he would be prudent to advise his 229,000 Subscribers that the Channel will resume at some future date.
I always hate it whenever the American military uses METERS instead of YARDS. This gravitation of our military away from American culture must be a bunch of pure NATO crap. I once casually met a guy in the navy at a downtown bar who said his issue M16 was .223 caliber. He hated the 5.56 mm NATO designation. Many Americans detest the metric system.
Military professionals in the Western World need to be proficient in both the Imperial and SI (Metric) Units of Measurement. This is necessary because they may be deployed at short notice to a part of the world where either (or both) of the systems may be in use on road signs, the available mapping, or by the native population. Opinions or emotions are not the issue here, it is a matter of being a good soldier and acquiring all the necessary skills.

Hey Matt, I’m 100% going to join the marines when I’m 17 (March 2022)! I really want to start preparing a year in advance, I’m super skinny and no matter how much I eat I don’t gain weight, I also have terrible cardiovascular endurance and strength, what are some workouts/techniques to increase my upper body strength and cardiovascular endurance? It just feels so hard to even run down my block (I’ll start wheezing and coughing really hard in the middling of running down the block). Any advice would really help! Edit: also how should I ask my mom and dad for permission to enlist?
Not to be that guy, but you don't eat as much as you think. Try eating 5 meals a day and including in each of them: protein (meats, milk products), carbs (rice, potatoes, bread, etc), and fibers (veggies, beans, etc). Start with light cardio like jogging a quarter mile then half a mile then a mile, and so on. Get a set of dumbbells and get creative... Use them to work on chest, arms, legs, abs. All that being said if you're not gaining weight its because you are not eating enough (2000+ calories a day) even though you think you are. Also, stay hydrated and more importantly, motivated. Matt suddenly dropped off the grid in December 2020. There are indications that he may have been the victim of an internet 'romance scam' which involved his identity being stolen. All of his social media accounts have been closed or are dormant. The situation is odd, because any legal issues should have been resolved before now, and I would have expected him to have posted some form of update to inform his may fans of the situation.

I wondered the same and did some digging. It appears he had some unfortunate allegations thrown against him. Something to do with multiple social media accounts being used to scam and threaten women for money. Absolutely no clue if there is any merit to them (I desperately hope not), but he went MIA on all social media platforms. Like I said, I'm really hoping they're not true because he's been a great and uplifting presence on this platform, but either way I'm sure its been an extremely difficult situation for him. :(
@Angie Ball his Facebooks most recent posts have people claiming that they were scammed or threatened by him. Some with pictures. It’s unclear if they are falsified or sent by accounts posing to be Matt, something that had happened to him in the past. I’d like to give him the benefit of the doubt though, and the whole situation breaks my heart.

After a few months after watching your videos I enlisted as 11b active army (jan 5 - aug 5 in OSUT) and currently in Fort Hood Texas. I always hate it whenever the American military uses METERS instead of YARDS. This gravitation of our military away from American culture must be a bunch of pure NATO crap. I once casually met a guy in the navy at a downtown bar who said his issue M16 was .223 caliber. He hated the 5.56 mm NATO designation. Many Americans detest the metric system.
Military professionals in the Western World need to be proficient in both the Imperial and SI (Metric) Units of Measurement. This is necessary because they may be deployed at short notice to a part of the world where either (or both) of the systems may be in use on road signs, the available mapping, or by the native population. Opinions or emotions are not the issue here, it is a matter of being a good soldier and acquiring all the necessary skills.

Hey Matt, I’m 100% going to join the marines when I’m 17 (March 2022)! I really want to start preparing a year in advance, I’m super skinny and no matter how much I eat I don’t gain weight, I also have terrible cardiovascular endurance and strength, what are some workouts/techniques to increase my upper body strength and cardiovascular endurance? It just feels so hard to even run down my block (I’ll start wheezing and coughing really hard in the middling of running down the block). Any advice would really help!

Not to be that guy, but you don't eat as much as you think. Try eating 5 meals a day and including in each of them: protein (meats, milk products), carbs (rice, potatoes, bread, etc), and fibers (veggies, beans, etc). Start with light cardio like jogging a quarter mile then half a mile then a mile, and so on. Get a set of dumbbells and get creative... Use them to work on chest, arms, legs, abs. All that being said if you're not gaining weight its because you are not eating enough (2000+ calories a day) even though you think you are. Also, stay hydrated and more importantly, motivated.
