In this video I will be sitting down and ranking EVERY TERRARIA MELEE WEAPON in 1.4.4 on a tier list. Sharing my opinions about each one and slowly losing my mind with the amount of weapons available...

Nah, The Drippler Crippler hits like a truck, for events and The Destroyer it's amazing. Also the Shadowflame Knife, with flasks and the Frost Armor inflicts a shit load of debuffs, and it's one of the easier melee weapons that you can get at the start of Hardmode that don't suck.
I agree that the Yoyos should get a rework tho.
The blood moon weapons i didn't test out a whole LOT just bc i havent done a lot of bloodmoon fishing since ive started playing again. A lot of these might change places when i do the ultimate terraria weapon tier list after i do a playthrough of every type!

Falcon Blade is actually not too bad if you start your playtrough with fishing
Bladetongue can be a nice secondary just for the ichor
I just realized how similar the BloodButcherer is to the Tentacle Spike! Lol
Spears need more love, not a lot were reworked and i think they have a lot of potential
It's my favorite of the melee subclasses I need more 😭
fyi: waffles iron is a gravity based projectile sword that shoots explosive waffles, its sorts fun but there are better options at that point in progression
That's actually pretty cool, I'll definitely need to look into a playthrough of the seed and test it out
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS HONESTLY IF YOU COULD DO THIS FOR ALL THE WEAPONS IT WOULD BE SICK

I personally say Meowmere is pretty much useless since 1.4, I never ever used it since even when trying to get the remaining zenith weapons. It pretty much became a crafting material in my eyes.
Chain guillotines are fantastic for when they’re available
seeing flying dragon under terrablade is painful, same goes for daybreak under solar eruption
The tiers themselves are not ranked in an order so I consider the daybreak and solar eruption equal!! Ans the flying dragons position is from a severe lack of use on my part 😅
Do you see anyone going out of their way to grind the old one’s army? I don’t either
@@etonymous1632use the betsy wings + soaring insignia once against moonlord, and you'll see just how much of a joke those wings make of moonlord's attacks, its basically a mini star hoverbaord.
@@luigigaming2717 yes I know the Betsy’s wings are good. Hovering is amazing and I’ve used it for my for the worthy moon lord kill. But I’m not grinding old one’s army. I’d rather just fight Fishron
Influx waver deserves either A or B and and does more dam than terra blade and the projectile goes off screen which is very usefull

I would put enchanted sword and blood butcher higher up the list
They have the final fantasy 7 sword and the kingdom hearts sword. Shame their is no berserk sword I always thought it should be in the game.
Guts' sword would be a great addition to the game!!

One final thing: WHO is EVER going to use a Golem Fist? Name somebody who uses a golem fist over something like the possessed hatchet or terra blade. You also did the Drippler crippler damn dirty

Seedler is criminally underrated
It's better than the terra blade on single targets and the exploding seeds do numbers on groups of enemies too
Unfortunately. Midler 😔 but fr I've always just found it to be easier to get through golem and get a broken hero sword than deal with my terrible boss drop luck I can only see so many pygmy Staffs 😔

Alright. Whoever puts the blade of grass anywhere below A tier does not know what they are TALKING about. The blade of grass may be a bit difficult to get: the jungle is a dangerous place, but it’s so damn worth it. The poison effect and razor leaf projectiles are absolutely necessity for melee players, and even other players in general if they are just starting. It can EASILY take out the eye, king slime, EoW/BoC, and even Skeletron (tho volcano is better)
Because tier lists are opinion, I use a rule of thumb: generally the S, A, and B tiers consist of the good options, and you go from there. (For some games, S & A are the tiers to pay attention to)
Blade of Grass is in B tier here, so it's definitely at least fine.
@@baitposterI understand. I just didn’t like that she put it in the same level as the bladed glove and the bee keeper, items which are not nearly as useful. I’d still say that it belongs in A tier
She* :) the blade of grass is more than fine but there are so so many better options you can get at around the Same time so I put it right in the middle tier!!

Exotic scimitar is pretty good early game
Mandible blade is F tier, you are NOT getting this as early as zombie arm.
Starfury is S tier, super safe, great for exploring, easy to get and not much rng, viable till skeletron and even wof if you don't use NE (since NE is risky in legendary)
Excalibur is 100% not S tier. Just use drippler or dao for destro. Excal has bad range and not that good damage to make up for it. Excal is B at best.
Ice sickle is C tier, just because it has so little use. (Once again, flails are better on destroyer)
Beam sword is C tier, just too rare
Waffle's iron is so funny "I dont know what it does"
Horseman's blade is an A tier weapon, great for golem and moons.
Influx waver has great DPS compared to terrablade, yes FD exists but not everyone can do ooa. At least a B tier weapon.
Why would you ever use meowmere outside of farming moonlord for starfury? Zenith is just better.
Both TNE and TE are post 3 mechs and used for just plantera. imo they are A/B tier.
wdym TE for destroyer? its post destroyer
Wooden yoyo is nice (B/C) because you can safely farm jungle.
Amazon is decent, but not S tier. A is fair.
Valor is just bad, kinda same with cascade. You shouldn't be using yoyos for wof.
Amarok I never felt as good as shadowflame knife. HM yoyos kinda suck compared to the other subclasses. I would move all of them down.
The eye of Cthulhu is just worse than terrablade by a mile.
Terrarian is worse than zenith in every way possible, they shouldnt be in the same tier.
Dark lance inflicts shadowflame but that's it. It sucks. Why would you ever use it for wof or hm bosses when miles better options like NE exists. Even volcano is better.
Gungnir sucks, You need to defeat a mech and whatever wep you use for it (likely sfk) is usually better.
Enchanted boomerang is B tier, super easy to get if you dnt get dogshit rng with wooden boomerang and does good kb and damage for a night 1 weapon.
Thorn chakram is worse than amazon, can't think of a reason to craft it.
Combat wrench sucks. Post skeletron, so only useable for wof but sunfury/ starfury/ ne exist.
Imo bananarang is too rare for S tier, its good but eh, would just kill destro with a flail and get light disc.
Paladin's hammers sucks compared to terrablade, flairon and horsemans.
Chain Knife is dogshit. Def F tier. So fucking rare and it is worse than wooden boomerang/ spear/ flaming mace/ enchanted boomerang.
Blue moon is just worse sunfury, C/f tier no reason to use it.
Chain guillotines are not that bad, I think its C tier.
Drippler is B tier just for being so good imo even if it is rare.
Golem fist kinda sucks. Would rather get possessed hatched.
Terragrim is great for boc but C tier is fair given how rare it is.
Arkhalis is a terrible weapon, pretty much always whatever you used to kill wof and the boss which dropped it will be better. Its not supposed to be a weapon, just a relic of the past.
SFK is super easy to get and has decent ranged damage
Sky dragon's fury is just worse than FD and influx, why would you use this? C tier.
Scourge of the corruptor is decent but not S tier, terrablade/ flairon etc are usually better. A tier is more reasonable.
Vampire knives' utility is unmatched. S tier always unless they add another melee lifesteal weapon. You get a greater healing potion in 8 seconds. If that's not S tier idk what is.
Zenith is just kinda useless, but I can see why one would put it in S tier.

I probably should've put at some point in this vid that I was mainly thinking about these in a subclass only run sense, since that's where a LOT of my recent experience comes in, BUT a lot of these are fair, in both a complete view of the melee class and also me being dumb and mixing weapons together in my head (True Excalibur) because I got it and then immediately farmed 20 destroyers in my swords playthrough LMAO HOWEVER, the excalibur i will stand with as an S tier weapon specifically in a swords only setting
Had to take off my modded playthrough goggles for this list. Definitely some... Unorthodox takes, but I'll accept it.

It was a rank based on a weapon playthrough type mindset and by that point I felt like you can just rush golem and the terra blade, but I will admit I havent used it much on its own 😔
Getting the terra blade is way harder than Getting the seedler, just kill plantara a couple times

@@crawdunk normally I use the nights edge to kill her, I think it's kinda easy, yoy fly in a circle for like 5 min maybe holding down click and you win, even with most other weapons you can win to because you don't get hir mutch if you know 60% about moving around
Lances are S, Shadowflame Knife is S, V. Knives are S, Sleepy Octopod F, Starlight is S. (isnt the solar eruption a flail?)
Where’s zenith in swords?
zenith is at the end because I categorized these by the wiki's system which means its TECHNICALLY not a sword but in the Other section!
@@crawdunk ahh 😅, also this might be random but im making a sky bridge in my world mainly for fallen stars, is it bad that its in "space", the sky isn't black and stars, but It does say on the height accessory thing that im in space, should it be lower or does it not matter, the bridge is around the same level as the floating islands
@percivala now I'm not a sky bridge expert but I do think you want it just below space? I'm not sure it matters for fallen stars however

Hard to trust this honestly. I found the muramasa to be crazy good when i found it. Much quicker and had more damage than blood butcher
Yeah I'm not saying it's bad or anything! but volcano is way easier to get and way better + when you get the muramasa you're immediately getting the night's edge instead usually

And then throws starlight into A tier bruh that weapon is outclassed by every melee that comes before it in damage, consistency and range
not a man, but! This video is before i changed up these and I had done a lot of this off of surface level knowledge, i do think the Horseman's blade is WAY better than what i gave it credit for here. This tier list specifically will be getting an overhaul to line up with my more recent quality!! Starlight is still peak tho im afraid

To be honest I don't agree with giving the death sickle at A and not S its such a good weapon and can help you progress so much faster without being outclassed by other weapons.(edit) also in my oppinion starwraith is better than meowmere.
It is a VERY solid weapon for sure, but also meowmere supremacy baby WOOOH
