as a summoner main, the eol daytime fight isnt as difficult as you think, i got terraprisma to carry me thru post golem. The fight isnt about your gear like other fights because you're constantly one shot, you're in a pattern / dodging fight. Learn the pattern, get the broom, ufo staff and you'll be fine.
The Blade Staff with Ichor, and the Stinger Necklace does incredible consistent DPS. Also thanks for defending the Cell Staff, it's pretty consistent with the DPS and definitely not worse than the Duke Summon. Also Firecracker is not C Tier in my opinion, because not only a marked enemy is hit with x2.75 the damage but also the explosion deals an extra x1.75 times the damage. If you use that thing with the Tiki / Spooky Armor and some Hardmode Summon, you can deal crazy damage, and that's not even taking into consideration whip stacking (using multiple whips).
Don't worry when editing I was definitely like huh idk if this was a good rating but i just committed to it. The only downside i have for the cell staff is that it needs a damage buff for where its at in the game but its so close to an s tier weapon

I just lost my hardcore character to twins on summoner. I guess this was pretty idiotic to go for them instead of prime who's approximately a billion times easier and since short whips almost never are able to damage twins and being the fact I was in master mode, I was destined to meet my ultimely demise in this fight. Excuse my introspection, I have no idea why did I mention this when it has nothing to do with the video. The only thing I do not agree with is firecracker being in C.
It's fine I'd probably do the same thing the destroyer has filled me with dread ever since needing to beat him with swords only in that short time where you don't have enough defense and the swords simply aren't good enough. Firecracker is probably B tier I may have been too harsh on it
My favorite ones are the spider stuff and queen spider stuff since u can get them very easily and early in hard mode and they help alot Nice video i just hope u post more often :)
As a summoner main this list is good but I disagree on some parts. Firstly, flinx deserves S. There's not much to say, flinx has one of the best prehardmode AIs because it literally glues itself to the enemy, and I almost consistently have at least 1 summoned at all times throughout all of hardmode (due to i-frame shenanigans). Oh, and while you are farming for the flinx fur you can craft the strongest early prehardmode armor for every class (as long as you arent doing an only class challenge). Seriously, 1 minion slot > 3-4 defence and a lame set bonus. Then I would switch imp and vamp frog in placement. Vamp is more consistently useful for me and, at the very least, deserves the spot for shredding the wall of flesh (target the top eye and it will hit every segment while jumping up and down). The whips are pretty subjective. There are so few so it's hard to compare them because summons need to use all of them. Maybe make snapthorn S for hard carrying through all of prehardmode, even after a nerf. We need 1.4.5 for more whips badly.
Now here's a question: what's the best summoning weapon for a non-sunmoner? I don't know about you, but even though I have a melee build on my main character, I always have a summon up to deal with lower level enemies. I've been sticking with really high damage singular summons like the Tempest and Stardust Cells.
I can see why the Tempest and Raven staffs would be in C but personally I believe they're B. Firecracker needs to be B tier AT LEAST, It's great to combo with staffs like Sanguine and almost essential with others like the desert tiger staff.
One issue to address with the Optic Staff, besides getting stuck on underground places, Spazmamini doesn't use local immunity frames, it uses static instead, just like the Imp Staff and the others, so changing Spazmamini into local i frames can make it seem better, but it's already decent tho so there's that
The Dark Harvest should go onto the S tier and the Morning star onto A tier, the pumpkin moon is known as the Summoner's favorite event, since it rewards them with useful summoner content, i've played the pumpkin moon 2 times and i got so far because of how buff i was and once i saw a Dark Harvest on the ground i picked it up quickly and it was fricking wild combined with the Durendal, electrical type damage and FRICKING 50 ARMOR PENETRATION, and the Morning star, you're underrating it just because it's slow, the knockback, the damage and the critical chance active is insane in invasions, of course it's required to whip stack with this, but that's the fun of Summoner, unleashing Belmont Energy with multiple whips in hand.
Sanguine was not nerfed but rather had a silly bug patched on it which would sometimes cause summons to hit twice Whereas the nerd to blade staff was 15% reduction in whip effectiveness which I would argue is much more massive than patching the occasional multihit. I will die on this goddamn hill!
I recently used sanguine till moonlord on a legendary mode playthrough because I like my bats. They perform very well still but sadly I think blade isn't quite so gamebreaking postnerf
Imp staff is actually worse than hornets due to I frames in piercing weapons. Only one projectile can hit an enemy at once. Not to mention the worse fire rate and accuracy.
2:37 Abigail falls off right after you get flinx staff, amd it does have a niche on Queen Slime preventing it to C tier so its B tier Hornet Staff with the Hive Pack can outdps Imp staff because of its faster attack speed so it went from basically useless to being an option for post-skeletron so B Tier Imp Staff is overrated because other minions can outdps it and suffers from I frames, but ill give it a nice spot on B tier because of its pierce, consistency, and easy to get. 8:06 Sanguine being on S tier is too much since it got multiple nerfs making it only viable for pre-Plantera. But it still has a high damage output and better ai + consistency and hard to get so its A tier Deadly Sphere Staff does not get outclassed by other weapons pre-Plantera. It literally is able to outdps Raven dps while still being consistent and having good crowd control Xeno Staff literally outdps sanguine lol. Also it has better Ai, High damage output and still managing to be consistent I think putting Raven Staff on C tier is abit harsh since it has a high damage output and setups to make it more consistent. It's a very learny game! But once you get a basic grasp on it it's got crazy replayability even with just the base game and mods add way more!

I always use vampire frog over the imp staff, In my experience, it dishes out a lot more dps.
Imp staff only pierces 5 enemies now. Was changed in the last patch I think? Recent change at least.
