I'm practicing Nadi Shodhana ( with Ujjayi breathing ) for over two years and my long problems with allergy disappeared after three months. I'm still practicing nearly every morning for 10 - 15 min. The key is persistence and repetition.

So happy to see a video of you. I hope you will continue on a regular basis and that you will also consider making videos of (yogic) practices / explanations for spiritual growth and releasing trauma (eventhough I know through my own practice it's all related). I hope your channel will grow exponentially. You are an excellent teacher, you explain it in a way it's easy to understand for people like me that have little to no knowledge of ancient yogic practices and their functions. Thank you. 🙏🏽

    Pranaam,
    Aapko hardik Dhanyvad!
Nadi-Shodhana Pranayam - for balance in your system.
Passive hand = Left hand in Chin mudra aka Dhyan Mudra
Active hand = Right hand in Mrigi Mudra aka Vishnu Mudra
Use Right hand thumb for blocking Right nostril
Use Right hand Index finger to block Left nostril
Patanjali says - Key is to do it Slowly & very Calmly w/o any sound/ force or feeling gush of air on your finger while exhalation or inhalation & following the ratios.
Thirumoolar says - breath ratio 4:64:32
So basically 1:4:2:1 ratio for a healthy person.. depending upon capacity but slowly build up to it from 1:1:1:1
eg 2 seconds Inhale: 8 seconds hold : 4 seconds Exhale: 2 seconds hold - Repeat with other nostril.
Try to do 4 times daily (at change of pahar) or atleast 2 times daily. Morning & Evening.
Possibly 80 breaths or 40 complete cycles.
For tiredness & lethargy / for heating - Longer Inhalation & Longer Hold after inhalation
For cleansing /digestion - Long hold after Exhalation
End of the day / for relaxation / for cooling - Longer Exhalation (3-4 times of Inhalation)
    Contra Indication:
High BP (avoid Long Hold after inhale)
Low BP low energy (avoid Long Exhalation)
In both above cases do Sama-Vritii 1:1:1:1 ratio

Very well explained Madam...i am 58 years old male and have a stent in heart..i do equal amounts of inhale and exhale and never hold my breath...it is not recommended for people with stent or any other heart condition if I am right....secondly my BP is always on the lower side so i do the inhale and exhale same amount..in fact i dont count also...just intution...i do it 10 cycles which takes four minutes..then give one minute break...and do 10 again...two times..total three rounds of 10 cycles. which takes approximately 15 minutes with break...then i do shavasana...hope this is fine....
