Same
I've already forgetten half the video.
I love this comment 😂
Forgetting the video while watching the video
@Polteacup same
Wait, wait wait... so, when Link goes around killing Guardians, is he still just breaking pots?
how does it feel to be the funniest person in this comment section?
I GASPED SO LOUD DUDE WTF
Hol up
He's speaking the language of the gods!
funniest shit ive ever read thank you
BOTW is so incredibly detailed that most NPC’s have daily schedules the follow.
Most notably is Koko from Kakariko Village who goes to her mother’s grave at 5am daily and cries. She’s startled out of it if Link gets too close.
You can follow just about any NPC and learn a lot about their character.
This could possibly be the most useful tip for helping to write more for the follow-up scripting. Thank YOU!
There's an NPC named Leekah who takes walks from Riverside Stable to Horwell Bridge. On the bridge, she'll get attacked by a Bokoblin. If you kill the Bokoblin, take the time to walk with her back to the stable, and then talk to her, she'll have unique dialogue where she thanks you and tells you that she feels safe with you.
It's really neat that they accounted for that scenario. Unfortunately I think she's the only NPC who gets this treatment. Still cool though!
Stalking people is my favorite hobby
I MEAN NPC'S-
I hate that npc cause she completely threw me off when doing the paya quest in kakariko
try playing rdr2
I think Zelda also stayed young because for those 100 years she was incorporeal, like a spirit trapped within Ganon. It’s kinda like how the Champions were stuck in their Beasts, except in Zelda’s case she was still alive. I mean, she does literally pop out of Ganon’s head.
I may have to use this info in the follow-up vid. Thanks!
yep this is my personal theory too, that she was basically in spirit form all that time or something like that.
no, zelda is the mortal form of goddess hylia
My theory is that because she was using her sealing power on gannon to keep him at the castle, she was also using the sealing power on herself. Not necessarily intentionally she just happened to get in the radius of it when she was using it on gannon
@@toristeunebrink5705maybe intentionally to be alive for a hundred years as that’s how long it takes link to heal. She might have known it would take this long or around this long, as she was very invested in ancient shiekah tech studies.
-There are only 3 situations for stamina auto-refilling while paragliding: when around a dragon, when attacking vah medoh, and when practicing in the flight range (not during the champion’s ballad quest).
-Mipha’s and Sidon’s names are spelled in the notes of their theme songs. Mipha: repeated notes are mi and fa. Sidon: repeated notes are si (basically ti; si is what they use in other languages) and do.
Thank you!
Adding in case someone is not familiar with this: It's based on the Solfège method in western music where the seven different notes in the standard Major scale are named _Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, Si_ (it comes back to _Do_ after _Si_ but one octave up, that's how SiDo(n) is born)
Almost everyone in Zora's domain has names related to western notation, Dorephan, Remi, Clef, to name a few more.
@@dependsonwhosasking Do-re-fa for Dorephan...
That is super cool!!!
I had no idea about the ancient pottery guardian inspiration. That is sooo freaking cool.
Now it's time for the pots to break Link
I didn't realise the cucco guy was trying to genetically engineer a chocobo into existence
He is IV breeding his Cuccos!
I think "The Legend of Zelda: Final Fantasy" would be a cool title!
@@RGC_animation What nature should I give my cucco?
@@peguin8290 Probably Modest
My dad googled good switch games and bought me this game as a birthday present. I've never played zelda before this one. I wonder how many others got this game the same way i did
Your dad wins. Thats a hilarious way to get you a good present
Yeah my cousin did that too
Haha nice! I'm currently working on the 20 minute video and actually included this little bit in the script bc i thought it was a cute little anecdote
@@TheZeldaEnthusiast wow nice to hear it 😂
Omg so this is where the bit from the latest video came!! I love this
One interesting little tidbit I found is that, if you hold ingredients and fall from a height (not enough to hurt Link, like a house's 2nd floor), Link will drop all on the floor, and if there's a bottle of milk, it will break! I got so sad when this happened xD
"You can spill milk, but it isnt worth crying over" lolol that's going in the script
eggs also break when you drop them on the ground
Everyone always says BotW is a timeline merge but I've always thought of it more as an inevitably on all timelines. Instead of all 3 merging into one its the same ending for all 3 timelines, separately
That's an interesting thought 🤔
As much as I do like this idea, I do believe that there's references to all the timelines scattered around the map
I don't think BotW is the Turn A Gundam of Zelda but now I wish it was, I love Turn A
Link’s champion tunic has a bracer on only his sword arm because he is meant to use a shield on the other, and this detail can actually be noticed on a couple other of link’s outfits (like the barbarian set)
Beautiful stuff for the follow-up vid, thanks!
I always thought that Zelda didn’t age because while she was holding Calamity Ganon in Hyrule Castle she was in spirit form and not Hylian. That’s why she can also telepathically communicate with Link from anywhere in the world.
My favorite useless fact: near central tower there’s a VERY LARGE barrel and if link picks it up over his head he ends up basically wearing it, as there’s no bottom. You can’t use it to actually hide though, guardians can see through it. This is the only barrel on the map like it, the devs never used the asset anywhere else. Source: 500 hours of basically nothing but map exploration and korok hunting
*takes notes*
Thank you!
@@TheZeldaEnthusiast ok after actually physically going back and looking, it’s in the ruins NNW of the central tower, between the passeri greenbelt and giants forest
Awesome 👌 👏
Im so sorry to prove your "only barrel on the map like it" wrong but actually there is one near the old mans hut in the great plateau. Im just mentioning and not trying to disprove your insane exploration!
@@baesuke forgot to mention your name
One of the most popular games by Nintendo, but SO rare that I physically meet someone else that plays it let alone knows about it.
Now that you mention it. Same here lol.
Bro fr?? That's actually so true wtf, even 90% of my weeby online friends haven't played it
I feel like about 80% of people I know who have a switch have played the game, but often know little to nothing about it and haven’t even got off the great plateau
I have a T-shirt that says "I need another stamina wheel" in the BOTW font. It's my Friday shirt, I wear it to work about every other week. I know at least a few of my co-workers play BOTW, yet the only time I've ever gotten a comment on it was some random dude in a shoe store.
I know about 7 people with switches who own this game (well 9 actually, but im not including them because I never talk to them and I hardly ever see them), not including the people who play on my switch. I basically make everyone I know who owns a switch buy BotW and im convincing one of my friends who has been thinking about getting a switch to get any Zelda game but specifically BotW.
The only thing is that only 3 of these people are actually really into Zelda. So, yeah this is kinda accurate.
I think Zelda has remained young because in order to keep down Ganon became spirit and only when you beat the final boss takes back her human form
As soon as I got the guardian armor, I put it all on and went straight to Loone, expecting some kind of different text exchange. She seemed unimpressed.
its been over 5 years and we are still finding out new little fun facts about the game. ahhh, i am SO excited for tears of the kingdom! open world games are so great
If link is carrying a skull for one of the skeleton guys, take it to the edge of a cliff and he’ll drop kick it!
I really liked this video! It's different from the usual tutorials, my favorites were the facts about different animations in the game.
Thanks! I was afraid i put in too much stuff about animations, so now im glad kept it 😀
This kind of content has so much potential stg please make more
It was pretty fun to make, so I'm very much considering it.. maybe 15 mins next time 😉
This is my first time hearing about the weapon poses in selfie mode, I feel bad for the animators now
This makes me love and appreciate this game even more
The fast moving ancient guardian from the trailer is a direct reference to the beginning sequence of Princess Mononoke!
Jōmon is sometimes rendered with a bar over the "o" to help English speakers understand that its a long vowel. Definitely NOT pronounced "juh-MOAN". Japanese doesn't have reduced vowels like English, where we pronounce unemphasized syllables as schwa. It's pronounced "Joh-mon"
Japanese has reduced vowels, generally when followed by a ん つ or っ. It only applies to え and あ. A good example is the pronunciation of 先生. With some Japanese speakers えん can even sound like an English -in sound. Anyways, it is very different from English emphasis and reduction.
Ok that ancient pottery is awesome. I can safely say thats as excited as ive ever been about pottery.
If you swing your weapon to an armed NPC like the guards in gerudo city, they will attack you back. You can actually parry this attack.
You left out about ten hours of information, please do more 😊
😉👍
How can you only have 3.9k subscribers??! 🤔
You deserve way more 👍.
Its a looong story, but I firmly believe that had I stayed active since 2007 (when I started uploading) instead of taking a 10+ year hiatus, I'd either have millions of subs, or gotten this channel blacklisted by the algorithm by now
@@TheZeldaEnthusiast as someone who works professionally in search and content creation for a living, if you keep this up you’re going to hit half a million in 6 months. I don’t post videos for myself personally, I work for brands, but I know the YT algo and you’re going to grow super fast!
Thank you so much for the pro feedback 🙏
"Did I leave anything out?" about Breath of the Wild? Nope, nothing, you covered the entire game right there.
😂😂
Another thing on opening chests, when you open a chest whilst crouching link will punch the chest open then flail his hand in pain lol
Yo, thanks! ;)
He was definitely trying to breed a golden chocobo lol.
The various statues of Hylia have different accessories depending on what settlement they're found in.
Speaking of statues with accessories, Purah and Robbie accessorize the frog statues above their doors differently.
The monks, too, are variously accessorized and posed.
Great stuff. Thank YOU
I am not going to forget this information this will just add to my Zelda PHD.
For you to know: i as astranger, love your videos and the fact that you took time to make this :)) keep going bro!❤️
4:52 *Top ten pictures taken moments before disaster.*
did you hear about the sos themes in the divine beasts and the musical references from Sidon’s- and Mipha’s Theme?
No. I'll have to go learn more about that
There’s such beauty in the fine details of this game.
I got the references to Ruto and Nabooru, but I never caught onto the Medli and Darunia references. That's brilliant.
Excellent job! Even though I knew most of these, there was still a phew that slipped through the cracks. I had no idea about that Shrine flooring!
This is such a good video, watched till the end!
Very lovely video, i really enjoyed watching it
"That upper class British accent is not the VA's natural accent."
Yeah, you can tell. You can really tell.
Zelda stayed ageless because she had turned into a spirit form and possessed Calamity Ganon in order to keep it sealed within Hyrule Castle. Defeating Dark Beast Ganon with the Bow of Light allowed her to finally return to her human body and seal him away in the Dark Realm.
More useless facts:
Vah Medoh was actually named after Mido from Ocarina of Time, because the original intent was for the Kokiri and Picori races (from Ocarina of Time and Minish Cap respectively) to be included in the game. When they were replaced with the Koroks and Rito, Nintendo decided to keep the name because it still worked because of Medli.
I noticed the Devine beasts one after Urbosa pointed it out. Nice detail!
The Tony Express: here are some useless botw facts that you'll forget about
Me: c-core memory
6:56 so i think its pretty implicit in the game that zelda gave up her physical form to hold ganon spirit and returned to her non-aged body after he was gone
Video name: *Literally says “useless information”*
Me: *Adds to “Watch Later”*
Parcy did also, if you talk to her for the first time, she says she used to sneak into hyrule castle, when it was safe, and she does not look 100
Oh, the trailer was obviously hinting at Relics of the Past. Nintendo thought it was too hard, so ShadowMarth121 made it a reality
6:56 maybe she became light itself and didn't age but when she was losing the power/light she began to get her form back thats my thought process and theory on why she didn't age
There's one more chest opening animation you forgot. If you open a chest from the side while Link is crouched, he'll punch the chest to open it and then shake his hand cause it hurt
haha, ways to open treasure chests ended up being a running bit throughout this series. i learned many more ways than just one ;)
Did I leave anything cool/interesting out? Lemme know!
Also, SUBSCRIBE for more content like this: ruclips.net/user/thepwnyexpress
Yeah, there's still a lot. But as I already forgot what was in this video, I can't tell you, sorry.
If you crouch and open a chest link punches it
there probably is XD this game is infinite
there is a very specific spot behind the colosseum that reacts like lava and very close to it is a spot with water. link will actually get burned from the lava and when you jump you see it splashing
Now thats the type of stuff im looking for to make anothwr vid like this! Thanks!!
Nice video man! 👌 Some interesting stuff
Jokes on you: I’m seriously considering implementing conditional game over screens in my project now.
Wow I never noticed that the game over screen was different based on how you died...pretty cool especially noticing the drowning one... mind you, I played probably close to 700-800 hours over the years... including the playthrough that I'm currently on and I still never noticed it... maybe it's because I don't really die that often but who knows
dude, I LOVE useless information. could have listened for 20 minutes, tbh.
More in production. Coming soon ;)
Hearing other people say things form botw cracks me up because it’s like wait- you guys don’t call them bobgoblins?? Or shriek-aslats?? What about Mobbobblolins?
Hey tony. Its been a good while since ive been on discord but im still watching the videos. You’ve encouraged me for so long i thank you for that. Thanks again.
-Marceline or aka Marina
Thanks Marceline! It has been a little while, I hope youve been well. Good to see ya
You mean to tell us that we've been calling the sequel Tears of the Kingdom, BoTW 2 for 3 years? I'm embarrassed 🤐
This is the best most coolest information abt botw thank you ❤
Thank YOU!
8:35 Nobody gonna talk about his horse's name lol.
Lolol
troll
I want there to be a speedrun category thas "Link goes to the store to get a glass of milk"
"When playing in English Zelda has this upper class British accent but that's not her natural accent."
No way! I never could have told on my own! It's such a good and accurate representation of an English accent! /s
Incorrect all of these were very useful and have enhanced my gameplay. So thanks!
Nice video!!! Also what are the musics used?
You can listen to and download all botw music here downloads.khinsider.com/game-soundtracks/album/the-legend-of-zelda-breath-of-the-wild
This is actually useful! I didn’t know there was a quest on puffer beach!
This is my new favorite RUclips account- thank you!!
Thank YOU!
Los mejores 10 minutos de asmr que he escuchado
You missed the ceouching chest bit where if you crouch and open a chest he'll punch it and wave his hand around with a hiss of pain lol
Before I finished the game, I was convinced that the big twist was gonna be that Zelda actually did die after having to keep Ganon sealed for 100 years, and the ending was gonna leave Link, alone in this big world, all the people he had a connection to in the past having now died
Breath of the wild is actually on the japanese version of the zelda website's timeline, but it's seperated from the others at the end by a line. That doesn't really mean anything of course since it's just another way to show its ambiguous currently, but I figured it's worth mentioning.
That's still great to know, thanks!
@@TheZeldaEnthusiast no prob!
5:25 Oh so THATS where my Boomerang went
20 secs in the video I already forgot that it was about useless infos, and kept waiting for the "intro" of the video to end so that we can get to the meat of the subject XD I was like "when is he gonna start talking about.... eh... what again?"
Good vid. Much enjoyness.
The opening scrawl gets me
9:20 definitely gonna remember this
Oh, I knew the game over text had colours based on how you died, I noticed it during my playthrough which is already super fucking cool, but I didn't know it had special effects based on it too, I just assumed that the normal one and fire ones were the same, as were the drowning and ice ones
The Hyruleans have latent psychic abilities. That's why the sword makes more damage when it's black.
That fact regarding Lynels is interesting, it's almost as it sees you as an equal opponent and will only engage with you if you engage with it. Guess some of these monsters have a bit of respect!
This video was really cool!
Thanks, Egg!
I thought Vah Medoh was named after Mido, the kokiri, since there were early plans to have a kokiri pilot for one of the divine beasts... but now that I think about it, the divine beast being named after Medli makes a LOT more sense, lol.
wait that's not a bad theory. I caught onto the beasts names being a reference. but medli seemed like an odd one, with three from ocarina and 1 from wind waker. but then medli seems so much more important than most kokiris
@@iBenjamin1000 yeah, it also seems weird that it would be named after Mido, and not Saria, when all the other divine beasts were named after their people's respective sages... while Medli, while not from OoT, WAS a sage in her game. Though it's also true that the seven sages were named after the various towns from Zelda 2, with the town of Mido giving its name to the non-sage Kokiri Mido instead.
But given it's pronounced Meh-do and not Mee-do, I think it's more likely the divine beast is named after Medli
Can't believe I got lost in watching this for 10 straight minutes
Gotta razz you a little for calling it a horse's birdle, instead of bridle, like BRY-dull. Great set of facts, though. I liked the pacing, and you've got a good even voice throughout
You're not the first lololol
I already knew literally every single one of those
I have played this game way too much
9:50 Vah Medoh, Vah Ruta , Vah Rudania and Vah Naboris ("Remember, try , TO REMEMBER")
The one thing I wish they would do with every game is put the starting cave from the very first Zelda in every game and then have like a little item in there like rupees, an NPC or two torches and a wooden sword.
one guy on a bridge will whos saying something like "we are all doomed" will yell at you not to jump if you go on the edge of the bridge near him
Do you know which bridge or approximately where on the map that is?
3:39 a pot with laser eyes and legs is somehow harder that the literally embodiment of hatred itself
I'm so excited for tears of the kingdom, hopefully I save up enough money for that and a switch lite since my current switch is showing it's age
Omg the Roscoe part lol
Im so excited to watch this
Another detail about the chest opening animations that if you crouch you punch the chest.
hearing "bridle" peonounced "bird-le" made my day lmao
3:16, the Mighty Elixir-- how do you make those??
6:07
I’m not sure if this is accurate, but I think the moblin near the Hateno Tower is more likely to do that than most other ones.
My theory is that when zelda unlocks her power to save link from the guardian in a memory, thats what kept her young. Her power allowed her to heal herself endlessly, but not to the point of being op. Sorta like rapunzel's hair in tangled
Now that the video is over, I can't remember what I forgot
i don't know if someone already told you but when you croutch on the side of a chest link will bunch the chest to open it ,it's very funny
With the timeline thing, this was my interpretation:
Breath of the Wild is the true Hyrule, and all the other games take place as the legends told in Hyrule. That’s why there are so many references to other games and not linked to a specific timeline. It’s not in any of them. All the other games are playable versions of the legends told in Botw’s Hyrule.
Well, I have a dog sleeping on me and can't move so I literally can't waste my time
