    my favourite EXTREMELY useless fact is that the hearts in the top-left in totk are a slightly less-saturated colour from botw. I don't know why they changed this but it's interesting they did something so small anyway

    • @cool82798
      @cool82798 6 месяцев назад +27

      almost certainly they just decided that the hearts in the first game were too distracting and the colour was too strong, so they put down the saturation to make them blend in more so you can focus on the game better. like you said such a small change most people like myself didn’t notice at all but probably subconsciously beneficial!

    Actually, the campfire on the tower launchpad thing, isn't just for tower launch pads. The game doesn't let you place campfires on basically any objects. Although, you can get one onto a platform by lighting it between two boards on the ground, and then when it turns into a campfire, it will clip up onto the boards. So that's neat.

      i think the reason they made campfires not allowed on objects is in botw there was a bug that involved dropping campfires in fairy fountains and i think this is how they patched it?

    • @RipVanFish09
      @RipVanFish09 8 месяцев назад +2

      Yeah, it was likely done to prevent glitchyness. Heres you you can get around this limitation.:
      [][][][] is a board
      | is the sticks
      {} is a campfire
      [][][][] | [][][][] will become
      [][][][]{}[][][][]
      If the boards are close enough together, the campfire will be on top of them when it forms. Its easiest to light the sticks on fire on the boards, and then just ultrahand them into place, where they will instantly become a campfire when they touch the ground.

    Gonna throw some things out there:
    Getting Noble Pursuits in this game involves a whole mini questline/dialogue path with the bar keep. I can't remember the exact wording but she insits Link is still too young to drink it, but she's developed a new recepie for younger folks to try it. This implies that either Hylians have a higher drinking age then humans, Gerudo have a higher drinking age then humans, or the Noble Pursuit is just THAT strong.
    The Hudson sign isnt the only thing to dissapear during cutscenes. Happens to the Queen Gibbdo wing too

    14:24 if you look closely in the inventory menu, you can see that Rauru's arm is in fact slightly bigger than Link's left hand. Lining them up as best I could, it looks like Rauru's fingers (not just the nails, actual fingers) are just slightly longer than Link's real fingers on his left hand, and Rauru's palm is just slightly bigger all around as well. Strangely enough it seems like Rauru's thumb is actually just slightly shorter.
    At least that's what I saw, i could be wrong. Neat detail if true!
    EDIT: I also noticed this detail while using Ascend! The way Link's hands are positioned when he "dives" show that the fingers of the right hand are a little longer than his left

      And yet being 117 years old back in BotW still wasn't good enough for the Gerudo. Either their drinking age laws are specifically written to account for people who's chronological and biological ages diverged due to magical age-pausing healing tech, or... They go by how old you look. But it couldn't be the second one because Link looks the same in TotK, and should therefor still be denied by that bartender if looks are what matters. As such, since simply being chronologically old enough never mattered anyway, the only relevant change left is that Link has naturally aged a few years since BotW. Based on that logic, the only reasonable conclusion is that Gerudo bartenders can somehow directly perceive a person's biological age itself. Perhaps by judging the length of the telomeres on their DNA?

You can tell because, while it’s tolerable for all races in Hyrule now, it’s still around 102 degrees Fahrenheit, which is not enough for Link to start taking damage from Heat Stroke. If you go into a chasm waypoint on the night that a blood moon is occuring and stay there until midnight passes the blood moon will not occur. It will spawn again the next evening and you can go back underground to bypass the blood moon again.
    I did an entire playthrough without getting a single blood moon cutscene through this.

  • @kappatrappa
    @kappatrappa 8 месяцев назад +2

    I gotta say bc it's driving me insane but I don't believe the logo is meant to represent two opposing forces, I think it's just a stylized ouroboros. While the idea of forever cycling forces is certainly a path they could have gone down, they didn't and I don't think that concept represents the game well especially because we see these dragon designs throughout zonai architecture and there is never dragons opposing forces. Especially on the large skillcheck doors, they're seen touching but not in an opposing way.
    I believe it's just about the looping passage of time based on how much emphasis is put into time throughout the game, and they simply chose two dragons to make it more visually symmetrical and to maybe hint that there would be more than just one significant dragon.
    It's simply hard to believe that the dragons are interlocked in opposition especially when we know the dragons are benevolent creatures and the symbol of the ouroboros already knowingly exists. That imagery can't be separated easily.

      I've tried this lol.
      All of them are possible.
      Water Temple is a bit tricky without the paraglider because of the waterfalls but, It is possible. I usually use wings to make bridges.
      The Fire Temple Is kinda simple, you have to get a fairy in order to jump into the volcano without dying. Then you just do the rest from there.
      You can get to the Wind Temple with a hoverbike but, I never ended up beating the boss without a paraglider so idk if it's possible.
      Lighting you can do the easiest without a paraglider.
      With the Spirit Temple you can use the tower near the dragon island to get up there and you have to land in the pond up there. Then the rest is pretty easy from there.

    Dorian was a yiga member. When he left, the Yiga retaliated and killed his wife. I think the red splotches on the wall are blood from Dorians wife. It makes sense since the wife’s cookbook is down there, as well as a garden. Koko also explores down there and refers to it as “me and mommy’s secret hideout! So don’t follow me!” In the notebook of worries in the Great Hall in Kakariko Village.
