for the Gleeok fight: have a bunch of shields in your inventory with rockets already fused to them. Get all your shield rockets for free by fusing every rocket you come across with an open shield in your inventory (save a couple unfused for regular use). If you've got a good sized shield inventory, you can have free rocket-shield combos ready to use all the time.
@@josephwald1991 I’m very proud of myself for having come up with that plan on my own. As a matter of fact, there’s a shrine on the north that requires you to use rockets so you just stand there and fuse rocket after rocket for free till you have enough.
When working with the rock octorocs: if you have your recall power at the ready, you can activate it at the weapon while it’s in the air after being spit out. The weapon will fly right back to the octoroc and kill it, saving you the effort of dodging and the bomb arrow trying to kill it yourself 8:03
@@VGamingJunkieVT Yes. They can only do one repair. Then they need to be defeated. Then they come back after a blood moon and then they can repair again. Repeat this cycle.
Yes. Its one repair per octoroc per blood moon. Or so I've heard repeatedly. As the first time I heard about this mechanic included a "make sure you kill it" stipulation for this reason, I haven't tested it myself.@@VGamingJunkieVT
I honestly don't pay much attention to Sun Pumpkins, since Sundelions naturally heal 3 gloom damaged hearts each, and they're easy to find on Sky Islands if you have the patience to go and collect them. They're also available in places scattered around the map on the surface. There's even a special story related place that has Sundelions, but I won't spoil that. Finally, Yiga footsoldiers in the Depths and every random Yiga I've encountered on the surface (after completing a certain storyline) has a chance to drop one Sundelion.
You may already know this - but in any area that requires doing a little roller coaster action (like over many of the lava pits), you can use Mineru instead of a cart - she just walks right on top of all of the railing, giving you much better control when needed.
I didn't know that. So Mineru just kind of sticks to the top of the railing and stays balanced on it? Similar to a cart? 🤯 🤯 Nice one. I will have to give that a try one day! 🤯 🤯
Another tip I got elsewhere: when you come across a yellow sparkly ore deposit save before you destroy it. Then destroy it, see if you get a diamond, and if not revert to your save. Keep destroying the ore deposit/reverting to the save until a diamond comes out.
While the lights in front of the caves are active you can go to a launch tower to get a better view. You can then pin their locations so you can explore them later.
Thank you for the good tips. Here are two major tips that were not in the video. 1. Pristine weapons, don't save your decayed weapons. Breaking them will cause the perfect version to spawn on the shadow statues in the depths after a blood moon. 2. Want the fifth sage? If you go to The bottom of Riola Spring, it's where the lightning dragon would come out in Botw. Look for a falling 🪨 and use recall to go to dragonhead Island. As a 90s kid who grew up with the early 3D Zelda games (Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask) dominating the franchise's pop-cultural image at the time, the Cap, Tunic, and Trousers of time are my favorite BotW & TotK outfit due to the nostalgia. It makes me feel like I'm adventuring through this new Hyrule with an old friend, especially once I've gotten the Mater Sword & Hylian Shield to complete the look. I also like how it's one of the only versions of Link's iconic tunic to feature a collar. That may not be as accurate to the medieval fantasy aesthetic the series is historically known for, but I think it makes our hero look sharp. I love the Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword tunics as well, but Ocarina of Time edges them out.
There are 6 Rock Octorocks around the ring that Mamosik shrine is on. Very handy. There are about 6 more scattered about that I know of. Those first 6 are super easy and quick to hit at nighttime with speed up armor boost!

For tip #4. 2 sundelion's and any 3 items that gives you 1 heart raw/uncooked gets you +6 gloom recovery and hearts. Being slightly more optimal than a full sun pumpkin dish.
If sun pumpkins function like sundelions, and give a set amount of gloom recovery per pumpkin. Then there's probably an even slightly more optimal food for gloom recovery. But I have no need to figure it out, since I have beaten most of the game at this point.
Omg i cant believe i never realized the connection between bargainer statues and goddess statues or lynels and stables! That’s helpful The steering wheel is clever to get bullet time, I’ll have to try that! I’ve found that zonai springs are also really useful during gleeok fights
@simonebarbee2932 you can do it! I was scared also, but now I'm a champion. Trick for lionels: find a place up higher than they are. Muddle bud them from there. Watch them because the muddle will wear off and you will have to hit them several times with them. When they are muddled they do not shoot arrows at you. Then just shoot them over and over again with arrows attached with horns and whatnot. Once you actually kill one you will get a triple shot bow (or better). Use that bow on the next Lionel and he will die faster. Get a few of the triple shot bows and make sure you have a ton of monster eyeballs, take these things to a gleeok fight. I hardest gleeok (I think even harder than a kind gleeok) is the ice one, so try with fire or lightning first maybe? Wear armor has been upgraded so you are fireproof, lightning proof, or ice proof. It will keep you from losing your weapons or getting stuck. Hit him with the middle bud and then use the eyeballs after that because they always hit their faces and that's what you need to get them down so you can hit them with your sword. When you have a triple bow it gotta then with three at once and they go down way way faster. Hopefully that will help you at least a little. It takes some trial and error, but these things work for me the best!
Very useful tips. The rocket shield is just golden. Favorite Link outfit is Dark Link. Once I discovered it was obtainable I spent a good week farming Poes to get it. Hate I can't upgrade it but at least I can cook food to boost defense.

Sun pumpkins are nice and all...but sundelions are better in the depths. Most enemies in the deptbs will only do gloom damage. And gloom reduces your max hearts. This means it will effect your empty heart containers first. Cooking 5 sundelions recovers way more gloom hearts than 5 sun pumpkins. You dont really need many full (red) heart containers in the depths, when empty ones serve as your new health
Thanks for the tips. Also i have always used the rocket shield trick to escape from gloom hands lol. Very Useful. And my Favorite Tunic is always the Ocarina of Time Tunic. I always go out of my way to get that tunic as soon as possible. Fierce Deity is an awesome one too.

@@cristalthetford4791 thanks for the tips!!!
Very useful tips. The rocket shield is just golden.
Favorite Link outfit is Dark Link. Once I discovered it was obtainable I spent a good week farming Poes to get it.
Hate I can't upgrade it but at least I can cook food to boost defense.
Nice. A Dark Link fan. I like your style. 🤩 Brilliant. Thank you for watching.
Wow I am on my second playthrough and a bunch of these tips were new to me. I’m blown away that the farmer will grow crops for you.
Hey. Yeah, those extra crops do start stacking up pretty fast when you get Uma growing them for you. Glad I could help you. Thank you for watching.
THANK YOU FOR THE GLEEOK TIP OMG

Great video, great tips! One of my favorite tips you quickly glanced over... there's someone who can unfuse your weapons? I really need to try some of the tips here.
Hey. No worries. Glad I could help you. I do have a load of Zelda TotK tips videos like this one. I'd recommend watching the "18 TotK Tips" one if you want to learn more about that unfuse NPC. Thank you for watching.
Is there a second T in Hateno in the EU version? Cuz in the US it's not Hatento
My bad. I think I may have misread it when I glanced at it on the map when making this video. 😅 🥲 Oops.
@@Azzavhar haha No worries! It's actually a good thing... you obviously don't get your ideas from other channels or Zelda-tubers
@@BoyProdigyX Definitely. 😁 & Thank you for watching. 👍
This is such a diplomatic approach to helpful correction. I will try to remember this.
I never knew the thing about Lynels being below stable. Thanks and great video!
Hey. No worries. Glad I could help you with that tip. Thank you for watching.
Hey. Nice one! Sundelions are awesome; yeah. Thank you for watching.
Thanks for the really great tips. Highly appreciated
Hey. My pleasure. Glad I could help you. Thank you for watching.

I am only speaking for myself, I love the game I don't really care that much about what he wears in the game unless it meant to do something I need done otherwise I am good for me the game is just cool to play lots to think about there is no one way to play this game! How you play the game is for you and you alone, I do not play well with others, and so I do this my way! Again, dude what a great channel, I love this video as well! I miss the days of giving people 5 stars because you did that and more! Peace to you!
Hey. Excellent! Wow; 5 stars; that is some super high praise! Thank you so much! I'm just really glad that I could help you. Yes; I understand what you mean; getting to play the game your way is one of the great joys of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Definitely.
Also; just so you know, I have over 1200 videos uploaded to this channel; so if you see other videos from me, they may not always be Tears of the Kingdom, as I cover a variety of games. (The games are quite similar in nature to Zelda Tears of the Kingdom). Thank you for watching and I hope you have an awesome time playing this game.
