the audio work its amazing, it makes me want to play the games with headphones just to see how much the audio changes between the materials and sizes of the different areas
Had no idea the sound design went that deep. It's difficult to express how impressive it is the game is running these algorithms in real time without ray tracing tech to support it.
@@AG-hj3eq Eh Sony isn't known for doing anything particularly interesting. They've always been big money behind the latest trend. Even if they both had the same hardware, Sony still wouldn't do this unless it became standard in the industry.

@@Pratendo shame as dlc is off the tables. I'm hoping guardians may make a return some day. Something about not having guardians in totk doesn't sit right with me and I have to admit, it's kinda sad the guardians provided Hyrule with so much hope and the calamity basically gave them a bad name. While gloom hands make a good replacement, I think it would have been cool to have both.
@@MrSuperleobros My guess is, Nintendo just had so many gameplay ideas but had to „forcefully“ create the story and the lore around it. A sequel is a good one by seemingly continuing the story from the first one and by answering questions we had in the first one. They barely did that..
The reason for the "Guardian" label is that the game works by having objects literally "emit terror". It comes in different levels and most enemies are only level 2, but in their respective games, Guardians and Gloom Spawn/Phantom Ganon are the only things that emit terror at level 5, the highest level, and this is tied to the Guardian text labels. I guess they're objectively the scariest things in Hyrule.
here's a fact a lot of you probably didn't know: go to these coordinates in the zonaite forge island (2314, -1755, 1475) and drop a heavy/large weapon onto the patch of bricks. if nothing happens, ultrahand the item in the air and drop it from higher up. (i used a marbled gohma leg fused to a royal broadsword for this). this works in other places on zonite forge island. please note that the coordinates dont have to be exactly the same. (feel free to use this in a video, gamespot!)
I noticed the difference in sound recently before watching this video, I was climbing a big plant in the depths and because I was near a wall the sound was echoing off it, it was a really cool thing to notice.
an interesting fact is that wearing the full glide suit and gliding from the room of awakening will place you right at the temple of time.hope this gets to your videos
absolutely astounding how the switch runs TotK especially considering the ray tracing sound design??? and yet people still blame Scarlet/Violet’s lag, 3 frame animations, and horrible render distance/graphics on the fact that the switch is a bad console
To be fair, there are a lot of people who simply don't understand how game design works, but talk like they do. Anyone blaming the console for Pokemon's performance issues fit in to this category. Remember, the internet is full of professional Googlers.
Found something I dunno if you guys have covered or not; if you sneak past Riju and go into the back entrance of the gerudo shelter, there is a special cutscene that plays.
Weird fact, not sure if y'all know this. If you fuse a Giant Boomerang with a Luminous Talus heart, and throw it, the weapon will fall to the ground before coming back.
Evermeans have diamond shaped marks in the middle of their trunk where eyes might be. I haven’t seen these on normal trees. I also just recently noticed that they shake randomly if they haven’t spotted you yet, giving away which trees are evermeans.
There are still some people saying stuff like that? LOL! So they think the last "new" game came out in 2017. Guess they'll have to wait over a decade for the next "new" game while the rest of us enjoy TotK. Their loss.
Yeah some dude who never played the game but saw clips of it calls it DLC... Meanwhile I spend over 300 hours in the game and _I'm_ the one who's wrong? Pfff... this is a new game 100%

In TotK, there are npc in Woodland Stable and his name is Molo, also you can find npc called Tie (no Twin Ion Engine from SW) and other names example Kaneli that are from Finnish language. Im finnish but I guess that Idk why?
I noticed that sounds echoed more or less depending on the surroundings, but I just assumed that was manually set on a case by case basis, sort of like how different surface types have their different footstep sounds manually chosen. I absolutely did not think echo levels were dynamically calculated in-engine.
I can't remember where I saw it, but I'm pretty sure there was a complicated glitch that let you "use" the camera in third person. Best part is that it was super goofy.
It was truly an amazing game. I bought switch solely for these two games BoTW and ToTK and I don't regret it at all, although after those two I bought a few more games too.
