All amazing, but you saved the best for last. Can you drive Zelda dragon thru the dueling peaks is what I want to know? That would be amazing footage. Falkor vibes
There’s one exception, and that’s the hot spring in the shrine of resurrection. In the depths below it is… another hot spring! The heat must be coming from even deeper than the depths!
That last one makes me wonder, would it be possible to take Zelda to the Depths? And if so, can you fight one of the boss rematches with her? It would be awesome!
Something I discovered recently: if you reach the lightroot under the Forgotten Temple without opening the shrine first, your shrine sensor goes off. Interesting note of just how deep the Depths actually are.
Well keep in mind the shrine is at the bottom of a canyon and to mirror that the lightroot is on top of a giant plateau. I'm not sure what the range of the sensor is exactly, but it looks like the height for the shrine is -83 and the lightroot is -351. So both are relatively close to the Depths ceiling.
When Light Dragon (Zelda) comes to aiding Link in the middle of the final battle, my first thought was “did she come back and maybe draconification hasn’t removed everything that is Zelda?” It is just a theory… but I believed it is her love for her knight is what drove her dragon instinct/consciousness in saving him from falling as the pair fought the climatic battle against the Draconified Demon King. We all seen that when her powers were activated when the ones she loves is threaten in Breath of the Wild. Their love and sacrifices for each other are the core themes of Link and Princess Zelda.
It seems like draconification preserves some of your will and instincts even if you lose your self, perhaps specifically the reason you swallow the stone. The Light Dragon intrinsically knows it's her duty to help Link defeat the Demon King, and the Demon Dragon maintains Ganondorf's goal to take over the entire world with gloom.
tbh, I think they're flat out wrong about her losing herself/that draconification makes you lose yourself. the game's main theme (besides "hands") seems to be "the history you thought you knew is not as correct as you thought it was", and Mineru understands draconification because of what their history tells them. but think about how little data they had on it. they only had the 3 dragons to work with, and those dragons' goals were just to serve their springs. Link is the only one we know of who can speak to the statues, so presumably only we know that they ARE still serving their springs, even if it doesn't really look like it. so to them, it would look like they're just mindlessly flying around in aimless directions/circles. they also don't seem to react to someone standing on them, but do horses and cows bother to react every time a fly lands on it? no. doesn't mean the cow/horse is mindless ether. but we in the future see otherwise, even with the original 3. Dinraal changes her path when the Sheikah quest requires it, knowing what she needs to do for a challenge made both by and for people who existed *long* after they originally draconified. as well, if we look at all of Zelda's behavior, she stays around the great sky island in order to keep an eye on Link's progress. she's mentally strong enough to project herself into the room so she can give Link her sage power, and knows that then he is ready for her to remove the cloud barrier now that he's ready. she tracks him across the land of hyrule and keeps track of what memories he's collected, and only once he's seen all of them (and she's there watching him when he sees the last one, she is *actively* tracking him) does she drop the real last one. she recognizes when it's him collecting the master sword on her head, and no matter where you are when you grab it she specifically goes back to the place she draconified to drop him off. she could have just continued flying wherever she was and just let him jump, but instead she dropped him off, and at an emotionally significant location. then in the final battle she still is able to track him in the air and juke dragondorf's bite *at speed!* as well, dragondorf also has the presence of mind to continue attacking Zelda and link and even grabbing him in the room AS he's transforming. absolutely NONE of this implies any of them are "mindless" or have "lost themselves". but I think the biggest hint is when Rauru sees Zelda in the temple and says he doesn't understand how that's possible, because it shouldn't be possible. that is almost outright telling us, before we even know what he's talking about, that they were wrong. but, I do also agree with you. I think it's the strength of her will and her love for Link that's kept her going for all those centuries, helping her to keep her mind sharp on her task and priorities, to not let the passage of time numb her mind and make her lose sight of her goal. something that I think the lack of attributed to the seeming "mindlessness" of the other 3.
I said this last video, but the way Link holds the master sword differs from other 1-handed weapons. Usually, 1-handed weapons are held by Link so that the "sharp" points are angled vertically. But for the master sword, the sharp edges are angles horizontally. It's not useful to know, but it's still a small detail.
I know it won’t be possible because of the developer’s’ decision but I feel a need for the Master Mode and a DLC side story in Tears of the Kingdom. Hopefully in the Deluxe Edition for the Nintendo Switch 2 version. There is much we do not know about the Zonai origins, no whereabouts of Rauru x Sonia’s child(ren) since they existed in the background, the unknown identity of the Ancient Hero, No Twinrova boss battle, and there is very lil backstory of who this version of Ganondorf is before he becomes the Demon King. Plus it would’ve give us a grand opportunity to see what Hyrule is like in the past with a playable Princess Zelda with her own gameplay that is far away from Link’s. Let alone make up the lost opportunity we have in Skyward Sword’s unfinished Second Quest story. Since Tears of the Kingdom’s story is divided in the perspectives of two main characters (Link and Princess Zelda), why Nintendo didn’t bother to allow players to explore Ancient Hyrule in a playable Dragon Tear memories?
I've found a useful trick. If you use Yunobo in tall grass, he will create a trail of updrafts to follow. Pairing this with Tulin makes traveling a lot quicker.
Fun fact: You can fight Colgera in the depth, using Mineru to hover through the weak points, via the updraft. It’s a slow process but you can beat the boss just using her.
If you get the master sword in the final battle, instead of earlier, and then warp away, will you still have the master sword? And does it behave like the regular Master Sword?
I like that some of these videos have at least a glitch like the last MORE Things You STILL Didn't Know In Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom which had a height trick with a stabilizer and a U block.
Top 2 best games & best open world games for Switch are Zelda TOTK & Hogwarts Legacy. TOTK already 150 hours with 3 main boss defeated & HL already 33 hours since I bought its 5 days ago ❤❤❤
the two artiste mentioned in number 7 also remind me of Edna Mode from the Incredilbes movies. not sure if that was intentional or not, but considering Edna's also a fashionista and designer of sorts, i couldn't help but make that connection.
What about sages talking to you before the Ganondorf fight? If you have only one or two of them they have unique lines but it isn't documented anywhere.
