Oh no! I totally caught that and re-recorded a good take during editing. I must have undid it by pressing Ctrl Z right after or something. Dangit! Thanks for the close eye/ear
The two Dragons always shows up in the form of gates, entrances in shrines and activation points for temples, skydiving tests, etc… and still also believe the game logo has significance to the final duel, as mentioned but also believe it represents the significance of dragons in both BOTW and TOTK… in addition my own theory is that Dragons are the three sacred gods and is the main reason why draconification as deemed taboo in TOTK… one little extra tid bit Rauru and Minaru, Zonai descendants of the Gods have Dragon like features… especially Rauru.
My personal explanation for the shiekah tech being almost fully gone is all of it was deatroyed, because they didn’t want the risk of Ganon controlling the tech again.
And they didn't destroy all of it! Some has been repurposed. The pedestals in the new towers are from the old shrines, and also the tube that leads up the tunnel looks like the elevator shafts in the old shrines. And it took me an embarassingly long time to figure it out, but the grabby arms that plug Link in when you first unlock a tower are repurposed Guardian legs!!
It seems to me that the Shiekah technology was disassembled and used as material for the new technology created by Purah and Robbie. I'm sure Calamity-proofing was one of their major goals.
@Leeloo_the_fox the main problem is that it's there, but it doesn't seem enough honestly. No way literally all guardians (including those in remote locations), towers, the castle pillars, the shrines, and most notably the divine beast are all recycled into some new towers and a new sheika slate (in just a few years too). According to an interview to the developers (wich I can't confirm really happened since I just heard it from someone else) the reason almost all sheika tech dissapears by itself is because the reason of it existing is no longer there. This is somewhat implied by Zelda at the end of Botw since she says "Vah Ruta has stopped moving", wich at least is an answer, but it's kind of a lazy one (I don't mind it but they could at least make Purah or Robby mention it). I feel like there should have been some corrupted guardians on the depths, it would have been a really scary moment to see one after thinking they were gone lol (it would make sense too, since the constructs in the Spirit temple say they found the ancient arrows they trade there). The other reason why people say this is because literally nobody mentions the old shrines (and very few people mention the Calamity at all, but at least some do and there are other signs of it ocurring), despite they being there for +10.000 years, wich is funny if we consider that when the new ones appear, they react as if something like that never happened before. Totk was such a blast to play, and I still have a lot of fun playing it, I just wish we got more context from the time in between the two games and that some things were expanded upon, like the aforementioned gloom infected guardians and a blood moon event that lasted a little while and spawned a lot of monsters wich atacked settlements or something like that idk. Other than that and a few annoyances and quirks like the system to activate sages, the useless map rune on the ability wheel, the master sword still being glitched and pretty weak, mining hard boulders taking a bit too long sometimes, and the sages in ancient times (except Mineru) lacking character development and having almost the same cutscens after temples, I'd say the game is amazing, and imo, it's better than botw (sadly it suffers from the "sequel effect", wich makes it stand out less than the original and some missed potential).
and id hypothesize some of it could also have been stolen by the yiga, particularly the tech from the shrine of resurrection since they seem like the only ones whod take apart such tech that could revive people fighting ganon like it did once already
17:50 after we find all the Tears and go back to Impa at the Forgotten Temple, she tells us that the geoglyphs were drawn by an ancient people who came in contact with the tears and "saw visions". So the geoglyphs weren't created as soon as the Tears hit the ground, they were drawn by people who had seen the memories and drew pictures to represent the contents of that specific vision. They would also know from the Tears that there would be a Hero in the future who would need the guidance from the Tears, so they drew up the map in the Forgotten Temple to guide that future Hero (the Dueling Peaks on the geoglyph map are also still in one piece, so this map was drawn shortly after Rauru's reign, before the Dueling Peaks were split, and probably by the same people who built Hyrule Castle over the Imprisoning Chamber and the second Temple of Time on the Great Plateau) 22:00 the photos in the Hateno house correspond to Lucky Clover Gazette stable quests, and were presumably taken by Zelda. The photos feature: - Gourmets Gone Missing at Riverside Stable, where Zelda taught them the Meat and Rice Bowl recipe - White Goats Gone Missing at Tabantha Bridge Stable, where the goats have run away and you follow the trail of pinecones - The Missing Farm Tools at Wetland Stable, where you follow the river down to Floret Sandbar where Zelda was helping Flowerblight make the best garden in Hyrule - Zelda’s Golden Horse at Snowfield Stable, where you have to track down the golden horse and bring it back to the stable - The Beast and the Princess, starts at New Serenne Stable and ends at Lakeside Stable where the dondons are
the only reason i can think of for making the hearts less saturated might be that now because they have an OLED switch, they dont want the pixels running 100% red to reduce the risk of burn-in?
I don't know if you've found this useless fact, but Mineru's Mask in the quest flying down from Thunderhead Isle, will extend the Wing item duration by like 30 seconds. It works with the autobuild clone of the mask too!
I like how the pad updating real time makes literally zero sense because link needed to scan the land to even make it in the first place, so he should need to scan again to change it.
When you first start the quest for building your dream home if it’s 8 am when the camera points to where your house will be rhondson will say “it’s tough to spot because of the sun” because the sun is right on that summit.
Love this series! Tiny TOTK detail I only just noticed recently is that all of the ascend points in the depths (except for the four in the furthest corners of the map) spit Link out right near a geoglyph. Thought that was neat.
1) i LOVE the idea of a game centered around the zonai hero, would easily be my favorite version of link 2) every time you upload these useless fact videos, i get them in my recommended feed and im filled with such an intense desire to play totk again and i love it. i never actually finished the game even though i loved it so much, so this is very awesome to see
There's SO much going on with that guy that I feel it would be criminal to leave it as purely myth. There's also some SERIOUS implications regarding the reincarnation process if a non-hylian can inherit Link's legacy...?
3:55 Two things 1. Link is a master of all forms of cooking, from pastry to searing 2. The art for the food often includes things that aren’t in Hyrule. Olives on pizza, grapes, oranges, blueberries and cherries on the fruitcake, pineapple on the noble pursuit, and more im missing
lol i like that. the logo for this game is turning into the chest opening animations from the botw useless videos. I keep getting more stuff to add to the next video. Thanks!
3:58 a tip for making pizza, i like adding different cuts of meat to get more heart restoration! i havent tried any poultry, only raw/prime/gourmet meat, but ive found that gourmet meat has the highest chance to get the gong/bonus hearts. in my mind its like adding pepperoni or sausage! i had link going through the final battle eating those 5-sundelion wild greens and pizzas to restore his health, i just love that pizza was added :D another fun addition i found on accident: fried chicken! its poultry + oil, but i like to add tabantha wheat, egg, and maybe some sort of herb for realism and extra heart restoration :-) i tried making country fried steak by combining raw meat and oil but i just got steamed meat :( im glad they added fried chicken though, in my opinion its a fun addition to the recipe roster! kfc: kakariko fried chicken (/joke)
In the prologue, if you shoot the Master Sword's beam at the location where Ganon's mummy is, it will create the same particles as if it hit some object instead of the floor or wall. (I used transrator)
Well they live much of their lives in an all-woman society. Unless you’re a traveller, running into Voe is rare. You might see some at the gates or Kara Kara Bazaar but for the most part you’ll be in Gerudo Town with only other women. If you’re attracted to a sex and have super limited experience with them, that’s a recipe for anxiety.
He put up a spoiler warning beforehand and said he'd be showing footage of it. Also, the game has been out for almost a year; the spoiler time is long over
I was going to say the same thing. He didn't show "THE battle" but it was still enough and I just thought it was funny. Could possibly be him trolling . . I hope so honestly. Lol. Also, just want to say I could care less about spoiling things or ppl getting upset. Like if you want to play the game and not be spoiled what the hell are you doing watching a 30 min video about the game? 😂😂
With the flower island above lookout landing, you might not be able to save there, but you can put a travel medallon there and it lets you go back. I used it to spot a lot of shrines.
Some of the places in the early intro do exist in-game, just differently. For example the bridge they were on is on the path to ganondorf in the late game, the room with the gloom hands features a broken bridge which suggests that link and Zelda crossed it before the intro and then it crumbled in the Upheaval.
Crazy to think, they introduced this whole warrior dude, but have barely mentioned much of them. I'd think he'd be more than a 'filler'. Hope there's a trilogy, or spin off of this warrior and everything about him. Would be badass
1:30 it’s also worth noting that there is a literal geoglpyh which depicts the master sword in that exact position as well. In the logo, if you look closely, the master sword even has the little tear drop shape at the tip of the blade, which iirc happens to be the same spot in which you find the memory on the actual geoglyph in the game. So yeah, through just the logo it’s all connected. Edit: At 7:41, these three creatures are also connected to the three lomei labyrinths! Whenever you complete each labyrinth on the land after following the trail of nuts that the researcher left behind, the ruler of owls, boars, and dragons is the one to speak to you and open the sky labyrinths/ depths labyrinths for you to solve. The evil spirit armor, which is your reward for beating the three sets of three labyrinths, is also probably connected because it is most definitely the counterpart to this “zonai hero” armor set.
There actually is an explination (sorry if that's written wrong) about the duelling peaks being split. at a stable, an old man tells link that the duelling peaks were split by a dragon god. i think it was the stable by floria bridge
The little signs near the Hudson Construction supplies lying around the map (not addisons) can be cut down, ultrahanded, and can also be fused to a weapon. They have no special effects when fused to a weapon, and have an attack power of 1.
i've just noticed how on the intro of the announcement trailer link does have the hood but he doesn't in the actual game, i'm really glad they didn't entirely removed it because it looks amazing
I've totally saved on the flower island above lookout landing many times, I even have a travel medallion on one of the petals. I wonder why it doesn't work for you? Maybe for me it's specifically because of my medallion and how I always teleport instead of fly there
9:45 it's not that the warp points are ever deactivated, just that they never thought you would have the sky and depths map layers available without the surface one, so the *scrolling* is coded wrong. It won't let you scroll to a map layer you haven't unlocked yet, but it doesn't skip over it either, it just goes "no".
1:07 I noticed this after ganon broke the sword. This is just like the rusty master sword in the BOTW logo hinting that its been a really long time since the msster sword has been used.
23:47 We do know how it split in half. an NPC at the stable in faron says it was split in half by a dragon, presumably by zelda herself when she bacme a dragon.
if you do get soft locked in the depth, you can use the interactive map to find one of the ascend points back to the surface. When I first went to Kakariko Village in Tears, I checked under the bridge for the apple. I thought it was funny that there were two now. Also I have a faint memory of an NPC in Breath of the Wild who tells Link about a legend that the Dueling Peaks were split by a dragon.
The topography outside Hyrule seems varied but the sea seems pretty empty, except for a small, irregular polygonal island to the far south. I noticed it standing on top of the sky south Lomei.
1:35 I really like the BoTW logo with the weathered master sword. All the nicks in the sword were really cool to me, especially when you learn why it looks that way. And the Zonai master sword I think shows off the fact that it’s broken and is being healed with the help of the Zonai
24:54 Here's a really useless fact, that instrument is actually a double reed like a bassoon or an oboe, and there's probably somebody that's remade it in real life by now (I was going to but I realised I can't do woodworking)
9:00 I actually wanted to try this out after seeing SimplySnaps' Depths challenge, so I made a new save file and was surprised to see this error was fixed
My headcanon is that this was Peach's childhood home which she has now donated as an art museum. Peach invited everyone for the Grand Opening. Unfortunately, thr anonymous donor of all the paintings was... Bowser.
The dragon/pair of dragons depicted by various symbols show up all over the place, or at least vague depictions of what is decidedly not the Light or Spirit Dragons. The cannon device, spring of courage carving, stone dragons in the Zonai & Typhlo ruins, Dragonhead Island and the Dark Skeletons. All of these have a "spinal mohawk" which is distinct from depictions of Farosh. There is also the odd depictions on the ring encircling shrines with a single connected horn
Maybe the dragons at 3:24 kissing is meant to represent Rauru and Sonia and the fact that if Rauru hadn't sacrificed himself, they would have gotten married but I the only thing is that they have never been dragons or had much to do with them in this game but it might just be a Zonai way to represent someone important.
13:15 If you do it away from a chasm (if you're out of bounds) it always loads, because chasms have a point where neither the surface or the depths are fully loaded, but out of bounds the game goes straight from surface to depths
@@TheZeldaEnthusiastOh! I just remembered a few more colouring changes. You may have mentioned these before, but fire looks a little different now and electricity (incl. lightning) was made more yellow
You mentioned you can't save at the highest floating petal island, but fun fact, you CAN put down a travel medallion there and use that to come back again and again! This is probably more pertinent to the Useful Facts videos, but its still good to know nonetheless! 😅 Also, Spoilers for later gameplay ahead: you similarly can't actually save /in/ Link's house outside Tarrey Town, likely because its custom and its easier to load the game with you outside it and /then/ the building rather than the other way around. I usually end up all the way over at the shrine on the upper cliff, but that might just be because thats my main warp point and thus likely where the last autosave would be; i haven't tried to hard save or autosave on the grass outside the house, then go inside and save and reload to see if it still lands me at the shrine or not. Is this useful or useless? You decide 😅
on 4:21 the reason why the totk hearts have less saturation is because of the new oled switch that was recently released to prevent the screen from burning.
It makes no sense for the shieka towers and guardians to disappear. Hyrulians built them. Why would they disappear after stopping the calamity? They’re not monsters made by Ganon? The guardians were serving at the court of hyrule castle under Zelda’s father. Only thing that would make sense is that the habitants of hyrule decided to clean them off hyrule to close with this era?
The guardians were most likely dismantled just in case Ganon came back, which he does and always will. The reasoning for the towers is more of a stretch
The oroboros symbology (2 dragons eating or chasing each other's tail) is present in the whole game and foreshadows the finale. It also represents an idea of an infinite cycle, so my interpretation of shrines and other elements only having 1 dragon or 2 dragons facing each other is either a part of the cycle or an attempt to break the cycle. I noticed this through the game and I was sort of diapointed it was only used literally. Xenoblade 3 uses the oroboros meaning way better.
I plan to make a video about how to get the best weapons sometime. It might be easier to help show you how to open the temple of time when I see you for Easter :)
I hadn't finsihed the game. Seeing a "Ganondorf dragon" spoiled the ending for me. I suggest you take the clips of that out, as your explanation was plenty and didnt mention a gloom dragon in anyway. If im referring to it wrong, thats because i hadn't finished the game and have forgotten the health bar name i seen in the video, so i guess thats some consolation. Anyways i love your videos! I hope you make a 60 minute version of this, even if there are some repeats. Keep it up! You've earned my subscribe from your BOTW videos alone (even tho I've only subscribed now LOL). I'm excited for future installments and any other game i happen to play. If youre looking for other games to play i suggest Hollow Knight! its a 2d platformer/boss fighter, I think a video with your style would be awesome!
I always assumed the intro was different because they showed it off, I watched it expecting him to catch her, one because its a Nintendo game and 2 because I saw the announcement so "knew" what happened. I thought it was a good twist
my theory about all of the shrines and towers and stuff from breath of the wild, is that after every shrine is completed the monks disappear and fade away and possibly after the calamity was taken down the other disappeared or were all repurposed. also for the new shrines and tears of the kingdom they appear after the events of breath of the wild because it was always destiny for Zelda to go back in time and she told rauru so he knew about link and his health was depleted he made those shrines for link to regain health.
Did I miss anything interesting? Let me know!
Hoi
Nothing missed, just a heads up that you said mushrooms instead of tomatos for the pizza recipe :)

There actually is an explination (sorry if that's written wrong) about the duelling peaks being split. at a stable, an old man tells link that the duelling peaks were split by a dragon god. i think it was the stable by floria bridge
in zelda botw someone (i dont remember who) tells us that the twins mountains where cut in half why one of the 3 dragons
Woke up and was greeted by this banger
The little signs near the Hudson Construction supplies lying around the map (not addisons) can be cut down, ultrahanded, and can also be fused to a weapon. They have no special effects when fused to a weapon, and have an attack power of 1.
i've just noticed how on the intro of the announcement trailer link does have the hood but he doesn't in the actual game, i'm really glad they didn't entirely removed it because it looks amazing
the way you pronounce "Hylian" is wild xD great video though!
26:35
That tablet is actually part of a quest where an NPC deciphers them for you;)
Miasma is actually used in the german version. So in Sonau!
29:40 I think the whole trailer cutscene was supposed to be them traveling down and this grab was Link climbing up somewhere and helping her up.
I've totally saved on the flower island above lookout landing many times, I even have a travel medallion on one of the petals. I wonder why it doesn't work for you? Maybe for me it's specifically because of my medallion and how I always teleport instead of fly there
why didn't i think of using a travel medallion? Also, it could be that i'm playing on ver 1.0
23:48 supposed a dragon split the mountain in half
An NPC in Breath of the Wild mentioned that
I always thought it was “peek and go”, since his paintings give you a peek at where you’re supposed to go.
15:50 That's actually really dissapointing... That was such a neat detail, its sad they removed it. :(
So does this mean the Champion who fought the Calamity 10,007 years ago was a Zonai?? 😮😮😮
And the Zonai master sword I think shows off the fact that it’s broken and is being healed with the help of the Zonai
the intro text is calling me out for watching this at 1am to try to sleep lmao
While I can appreciate not wanting to spoil the final battle, showing footage of it while you talk kinda defeats the point 😅
why i don't trust no videos until im ready lol
24:54 Here's a really useless fact, that instrument is actually a double reed like a bassoon or an oboe, and there's probably somebody that's remade it in real life by now (I was going to but I realised I can't do woodworking)
It's based on the Indian pungi flute, an instrument associated with snake charming.
18:55 I wouldn't be surprised if that area was used as a testing ground at some stage in development
Useless or not, I love watching these videos. Can't wait for another one!
pulling this up so i have something playing while i fall asleep... I feel so called out by the intro lmao
For the super high jump down you did, where can't make a save. You can place a teleporter.
I remember the first time a blood moon happened in BoTW. I had no idea what it was and that weird music creeped me the hell out haha
9:00 I actually wanted to try this out after seeing SimplySnaps' Depths challenge, so I made a new save file and was surprised to see this error was fixed
I like the new shade of red on the hearts 💗
Tony: flutter gently
Link: *OOOHHH SH---HELP ME HYLIA!!!!!* * dies *
Just an fyi, you can in fact save the game on the flower island above Lookout Landing. It just has to be on one of the petals :(
I'm def going to try again. also use a travel medallion. i'm thinking if i can't, it's bc i'm playing on ver 1.0
@@TheZeldaEnthusiast I have a travel medallion up there
Koume and Kotake also have their names spelled on their clothing!
My headcanon is that this was Peach's childhood home which she has now donated as an art museum. Peach invited everyone for the Grand Opening. Unfortunately, thr anonymous donor of all the paintings was... Bowser.
Says he isn’t gonna spoil the final battle. Proceeds to show the final battle. Thanks man now I know what Ganon is gonna do 👍
The dragon/pair of dragons depicted by various symbols show up all over the place, or at least vague depictions of what is decidedly not the Light or Spirit Dragons.
@3:30 the heads facing each other and forming an open ring are similar to a torc: an ancient celtic necklace worn as a symbol of royalty.
I had paused at 3:58 days ago and just sat down with a pizza. Perfect!
🤌
Maybe the dragons at 3:24 kissing is meant to represent Rauru and Sonia and the fact that if Rauru hadn't sacrificed himself, they would have gotten married but I the only thing is that they have never been dragons or had much to do with them in this game but it might just be a Zonai way to represent someone important.
Ain't no way you used the final fight as b-roll for a spoiler warning for the final fight
13:15 If you do it away from a chasm (if you're out of bounds) it always loads, because chasms have a point where neither the surface or the depths are fully loaded, but out of bounds the game goes straight from surface to depths
Alongside the hearts being desaturated, red text is desatursted, blue text is not used in TOTK, and I think stamina may be too.
blue text being cut is good stuff. i'll look into the stamina wheel shading, thanks!
@@TheZeldaEnthusiastOh! I just remembered a few more colouring changes. You may have mentioned these before, but fire looks a little different now and electricity (incl. lightning) was made more yellow
One useless thing i found Is that the ganon spirit amor worms like a monster mask to stall enemies
The masks actually increases the sages damage, so it isn’t actually useless ( Mineru also has a similar thing, if you wear the Zonaite Helm)
You mentioned you can't save at the highest floating petal island, but fun fact, you CAN put down a travel medallion there and use that to come back again and again! This is probably more pertinent to the Useful Facts videos, but its still good to know nonetheless! 😅
Also, Spoilers for later gameplay ahead: you similarly can't actually save /in/ Link's house outside Tarrey Town, likely because its custom and its easier to load the game with you outside it and /then/ the building rather than the other way around.
The Legend of Pizza : Crust of Destiny
on 4:21 the reason why the totk hearts have less saturation is because of the new oled switch that was recently released to prevent the screen from burning.
My theory is that when the calamity was "sealed" anything infected by the calamity was also blown up by sealing magic.
The hearts are to reduce screen burn in on the switch Oled model.
The reasoning for the towers is more of a stretch
about the DonDon's: they eat luminous stones, which contain souls of the dead. That's kinda terrifying.
maybe pooping them out as gems is a way of taking those souls to a higher plane of existence?..
Uncle Tony hi it’s Adalynn oh can u try to make video for how to open the temple of time and good wepens because 😅 I threw my best wepen😅
Really enjoyed the useless information dump 😆 glad i found your channel!
1:01 If you skip ahead 30 seconds here, you end up right at the spoiler.
Skip to 1:49 instead. And edit the voice-over accordingly next time.
If you wanna do the jump multiple times then put a travel medallion up there
Useless fact: You can actually climb into the cannon in Gerudo Town
It has camera collision inside and everything
Not the sleep aid note 😂
We’ve been blessed with another great video👏🙏🙏
I binge watch these videos of yours
happy you enjoy them :) more to come
my theory about all of the shrines and towers and stuff from breath of the wild, is that after every shrine is completed the monks disappear and fade away and possibly after the calamity was taken down the other disappeared or were all repurposed. also for the new shrines and tears of the kingdom they appear after the events of breath of the wild because it was always destiny for Zelda to go back in time and she told rauru so he knew about link and his health was depleted he made those shrines for link to regain health.
“So watch useless information for your newest sleep aid today” 0/10 doctors recommend
I think the hearts are less saturated due to the OLED and to prevent burn in with the screen
I love this so much I’m gonna start studying with this thanks bro
This is exactly what I’m looking for
