  • If you’re in the market for a new side-by-side, we have good news: Our team of farmer evaluators tested the 2019 Kubota RTV-XG850, 2019 John Deere Gator XUV865R, and 2019 Can-Am Defender DPS. Each UTV stood up to the daily demands of farming. They had about six months to put the UTVs to work on their operations, and, at the end, each machine received a perfect or near-perfect rating.

    All of these suck why didn't you put the Polaris Ranger in the trials? You can't even compare a side-by-side with a cab air conditioning and heat. To another side by side without those same things. It's like comparing apples to pears.

    I had a deere and now have a kubota. I am SUPER IMPRESSED with the Kubota. It is built like a tank. Its large enough to carry many people are tons of tools. The only complaint is the diesel engine is pretty loud. The neighboring ranch uses Kawasaki Mules and their diesels are also very loud. Perhaps that what you get with a diesel engine.

  • @mkodjohnson
    @mkodjohnson 4 года назад +8

    There are so many brands today to compare. Would love to see the Kawasaki Mule in the comparison, that maybe in the next video. I would also love to see price points for single cab open cab, then with double cab or second row, then closed cab with A/C and heat. Thanks

    These machines today are $30K plus, for what amounts to be a relative toy. I just purchased a used 2014 Ford F-350 gas Super Duty four wheeler with 90K mileage for $27,500. No comparison between the two when talking value for the dollar.

      I kind of agree. However we bought a second hand UTV for a few reasons over a second hand ute. Firstly the UTV is lighter on the ground. Secondly it’s more manoeuvrable. Thirdly it’s easy to get in and out of.
      The big disadvantage is the UTV can’t be driven into town.

      Zach Sonne try it in Australia. See what happens if caught by the police.
      Unregistered vehicle, no insurance, not road worthy, lack of compliance plate. Nobody drives UTVs from their farm into town in Australia because of the trouble it could cause. Some UTVs have conditional registration which means the vehicle can be driven from one location to another along a designated route. Go off this route and if the police bust you they will issue a bunch of tickets costing thousands of dollars and a day in court. No one selling these vehicles advertise their road worthiness.
      Of course some people do drive their UTVs on roads when they legally should not but they are taking a risk doing it.

    A true utv should be 4x4, light in weight, and cargo space. These are just not economical compared to a small truck.
