    Someone asked me this question few days ago on a different channel and I wish I had of made it this simple but- I never even looked at it this way. I just told them to make sure the point came out in the back 1/3rd of the main body- just before the tail section. Which is confusing- especially for someone not used to swim baits. If I can find the post I'll go back and refer him to this video- thanks Matt.

    Great video Matt, what weights do you like to start with for the various sized hooks? Say for fishing weedless in 8-12 foot depth as a starting point.

    • @MattStefanFishing
      @MattStefanFishing  3 года назад +1

      Depends on my retrieve speed and size of the bait. But for 8-12 ft id say 3/8 oz to 1/2 oz.

    Would you please describe the advantages of a hollow belly versus a boot tail swimbait solid body. That would be a great help to give me a little confidence in the Hollow Bodies.

    • @MattStefanFishing
      @MattStefanFishing  3 года назад

      they are pretty interchangeable. the hollow belly in my opinion is a little more natural looking to me and swims with more belly roll versus tail wag.

    • @MattStefanFishing

    A little more technical question. Do you want to use the biggest weighted swimbait hook the belly can handle?

    • @MattStefanFishing
      @MattStefanFishing  Год назад

      I prefer smaller to get more tail kick, but still beg enough to effectively hook fish
