My second morning Nidra meditation with you this week. Waking up 15 minutes early is something I am going to get into a routine of regularly doing. I feel calm and energised and ready to begin my day. I enjoyed the mental right nostril breathing. Now it is time to take my dog out for an hour in the woods. Thank you Loren.
So good. I started waking up 15 mins early, then 30 mins early. Now I'm two hours earlier because I need focus on a routine and starting my day. I start yoga nidra within 10 mins of waking and within ten of going to bed. Some days I add a yoga nidra session in the middle of the day. Enjoy life!
Thank you Loren ❤this was so relaxing, especially with the waves. It’s half past three in the afternoon here in the Netherlands, it’s also my day off. I almost fell asleep 🤭 Have a good week 😊
This was quite nice, Thank you ❤ I’ve been practicing yoga nidra every morning for a month or so now and I’ve noticed a massive shift in the excitement level of my nervous system. It’s so lovely to love through the day with a more calm energy. I appreciate you 🙏
Although I didn’t listen to this in the morning, I feel as if I did because of sensing more energy in the body and focus in the mind. 😃 The waves in the background were a lovely touch to this beautiful yoga nidra. ☺️ Thank you! Namaste 🙏🏻🌺
Love your calm and grounded and strong voice. I’m a yoga teacher and I feel I carry those qualities as well- so it’s real nice to receive this from you and feel the power of this strength
Thank you Loren ! Your inductions are skillful , combine breath , intention and you always mix up the combinations of areas / parts to be directed to . This is so effective! Well mixed audio and your voice is amazing !
PS I shared your channel with the members in a trauma support group. Your intros are so exquisitely crafted, extraordinary EQ it’s like a mini session with a talented therapist (which in my experience are rare). You’d make a phenomenal therapist.
@@lorenrunion the feedback has been good! One person in the group expressed gratitude for how beneficial it’s been for his insomnia struggles. Good job and thank you again!!
Hi Loren. I just want to say how much I appreciate your content. You have such a gift for describing the emotions and thoughts that come during different life stages, and it really resonates with me. I can always feel the compassion you put into your videos, and it makes them so impactful. I’ve had some difficulty during Nidras when using opposite emotions and integrating them to feel them simultaneously, which left me feeling quite discouraged. But your meditation on focusing on the sides of the body was incredibly encouraging because I was finally able to achieve the goal! Do you (or any viewers )have any suggestions regarding this difficulty with combining opposing emotions l? Thanks
Hi there! First, thank you so much for your kind words, so glad to have you be apart of the community. Second, as far as the two emotions and combining them here are my thoughts. There might be a lot of them :) Nothing says they HAVE to be felt simultaneously. Instead of getting discouraged from what you hope/want the experience to be like, it might be more beneficial to just stay open to how the experience actually is happening. More with curiosity and as a witness to your own unique experience. Second, consider how you are approaching and sensing the emotions. Are you trying to "feel" them with your mind? Or instead, are you noticing where you feel them in your body and how they feel in your body. For example...If I think of a recent super stressful day (yesterday) in my body it feels like a burning sensation in my chest. When I think about some of the good parts of my day yesterday they feel like the color yellow, and airy. So when I am doing a practice where I am combining both, I try to tune into the feelings in my body and less of the "intellectual" feelings. We all come to the practice with difference expereinces. Feeling emotions, and even sensations in the body may be very difficult for some people. So you if you practice staying patient and witnessing the experience maybe you begin to notice that the body offers you a symbol or flash of a memory and you work with those things. In the past working with clients who had a hard time with this, there tended to be a lot of judgement they had on what they were actually experiencing. A lot of thoughts like "is this right? or is this okay?". When they let themselves be okay with whatever the subconscious mind gave them without judgment they had an easier time. Know that in the yoga nidra practice whatever comes up for you is perfect for where you are. And with time you might begin to see this shift. You can also practice this "pendulum" of emotions outside of the practice. I do this on days when I feel really anxious. So I feel into my anxiety, let that go, feel into the other feeling I want to feel. Swing back to anxiety, then back to the other emotion. Then I practice holding both. And lastly, even if it never happens, maybe just acknowledging in and outside of your practice that is okay to be both "stressed" and "joyful" that we don't need to be one or the other but both, and. In a meditation practice it is enough to just feel them separate because your yoga nidra practice is unique to you 🩷
@@lorenrunion wow! Thank you for so generously sharing your time with such a detailed reply. Thank you! In contemporary psychology for my experience, there’s been this pathologizing When experiencing extremes of emotion that indicates that parts are needing integration. And I like how you provided the example of being stressed and joyful because this beautifully captures exactly what my profession often embodied, and even though it was stressful, it was a pleasant kind of stress like there was meaning and purpose behind the stress and the end result And how my knowledge and actions impacted people brought me immense joy. Stream of consciousness tangent. Hmm I guess I hope all of your stress is similar to that which I described because stress is much more tolerable when you know there’s a positive effect to it! Infinite appreciation for you! I
