      Well none of the 1.3 billion and millions of engineering graduates have made any bit of contribution to either improve it themselves or have provided any solutions.. These bikes were designed in England again.. Only produced in India.
      It's not RE's fault Indian consumers don't add value other than they have actually crowdfunded this project from years of buying the other models of RE. We should be grateful for RE they not only went for it but aslo are making themselves some name internationally because of this.
      Most Indian consumers value wealth possession, Improvement and progression is about wealth creation solving problems its not happening here.

      @@ivanm5534 A Patakha ('firework' in Hindi) exhaust is an Indian genre of exhaust for almost all of the conventional(Bullet, Classic, Thunderbird, etc.) royal enfields (and many other bikes) it creates a very noisy, and discomforting sound and because of this is completely banned by the *Central Motor Vehicle Act Section 190* of the Indian rules and regulations. But due to the extreme inclination of mostly youth and adults towards "modifying" their bikes (Mostly royal enfields) with this specific category, and the light attitude of the Police in most states of India, hundreds of companies in India, still illegally produce it.

    The main difference between the two models is the ergonomic setup. The Continental GT has café racer clip-on handlebars, rearset foot controls, and a fuel tank carved for tucking knees in during more aggressive riding. In contrast, the Interceptor is more of a standard bike. The handlebars are upright, the flat, two-person seat is thicker and more comfortable, the foot pegs are positioned more directly under the rider’s knees, and the tank is a teardrop shape, with a gentle indent.
    I chose the first 🥰

      my pick amongst re and ktm is re , since for almost the same amount of the price u get an twin cylinder and the re has an power figure of 47 bhp which is 3 bhp more than ktm ( 43 bhp i guess) and riding an twin cylinder will give u an completely different experience. the starting price of an twin ( ninja 300) is RS 2, 98,000 ( 39 bhp) and u are getting an 650 twin for less than the above price. so i think re has an upper hand compared to ktm based on the above facts.

    Getting the Delivery of My Continental GT 650 today. The Stock Tyres have been changed to Ceat Zoom Cruz F by the company which are clearly a downgrade. After few days of conversations with the customer service they said that the tyres have been changed (Clearly the Advertising of Pirelli Tyres is a misinformation now) and after asking for the compensation for the price difference in price of tyres they said that there would be no compensation as there is no Mandate or promise given by the company to provide Pirelli tyres only. The attitude of the showroom is also quite bad. They said "Lena ho toh bata do nahi toh dusre log wait kar hi rahe hain lene k liye" (New Kind of Dadagiri). So basically if tomorrow they say that now we have changed the chassis also from Harris performance to some local Manufacturer or Bybre Break with something local, while keeping the price of the bike same, we as common consumers won't be able to do a thing. Highly Disappointed with this attitude of the "Highly Esteemed" Bike Manufacturer.

      @nrml76 4 года назад

      The engine would have to be tuned for more torque at the expense of top end speed and would need different gearing for off road use, which would make it quite different in character.
      The Himalayan fills a unique nice in the adventure bike segment because of its light weight and low cost. A twin cylinder Himalayan would be more expensive and heavier and would have to compete with a number of middleweight adventure bikes from major manufacturers with similar engine capacities and better power specifications (liquid cooling makes a huge difference). It would struggle to compete unless the price is insanely good in which case it would cannibalise the sales of the single cylinder Himalayan.
      A twin Himalayan will come but not before RE identifies a little niche in the market where it will fit in. The interceptor and GT have retro appeal, but adventure bikes are a modern concept, so it will be difficult to do a nostalgic take on that concept.

    I own a baker express and I like it. I would love it more than anything, if only it had traditional horizontal exhausts, a better seat and a bit more forward placed footpegs.
    Being a family man these things just takes away the practicality of the bike.

    Hey, I would like to see some special editions on these twins with dual discs, mags and premium rubber , mono shock , all led and if not all tft at least an all digital cluster
    Just like Pegasus in classic, the x in thunderbird ❤️❤️
    I know it will increase the cost but it’s totally worth.
    Imagine performance kits for gt. OMG!!

    Karthik sir - can u pls help me to understand what is slipper clutch? How that works in RE

    • @pranavshyampraveen847
      @pranavshyampraveen847 6 лет назад +1

      In simple term its like a free wheel in a bicycle
      When u down shift the wheel speed(speedo ) becomes much more than the engine speed(RPM) due to which wheel tend to lock up (wheel speed drastically decreases to match with engine speed) but with slipper clutch the wheel could rotate much more freely and match the engine speed smoothly( wheel slowly reaches the engine speed)

    Very insightful and to the point review. I made a video on whether these twins will work in the USA. My style is more the Interceptor - I think I would prefer more upright.
