So supposing the idea if #Disney did buy #DragonBall through their deal with Fox (who only own distribution rights by the way), what could they do with it? Would Marvel help out? Would they keep the story the same? Let's discuss what might come out of a possible live action movie...

Since Fox acquired Disney, there have been questions about what might happen about Dragon Ball, which 21st Century Fox owns the distribution rights to. Does this mean the Walt Disney Company OWNS DRAGON BALL? Let's discuss why that's not the case...but what might they do with a live action movie and other things if they DID.

....and in spite of all the "Toriyama Handjobs" it has been handing out to even 17 it has yet to fix the nagging bugbear that Goku and Vegeta are the only two characters that matter.

Yeah I really feel like Toriyama wouldn't let another live action movie happen unless it was seriously under his guidance and control. Not only in title, but seriously under his control.
I agree. During Evolution, the filmmakers were asking for around $45 million from Shueisha to have just a SAY in the production. Toriyama was given a token Executive Producer credit but was mostly ignored.

it doesn't have to be an unspeakable disaster like that one movie that must not be named.. that being said, the disaster here would be the Disney plague. if it was executed perfectly with Toriyama's supervision with Toei's support, it could be the best thing ever to be on live-action screen. remember it doesn't have to necessarily involve the characters we see today but could take place in a different time and space within the DBU (Dragon Ball Universe). i.e. a prequel of some kind.

The only way I'd see Disney owning dragon Ball is if they bought it and they regulated it and just produced it at a higher budget but letting toriyama and the team write it, this giving them a bigger budget and better animation like the broly movie

The original series WAS for kids. The metric for what's suitable for kids was just different. It really wouldn't need much change to keep it kid friendly. The few times Bulma flashes someone aren't vitally important to keep.
Just don't make Goku an angsty highschooler. That was 100% the opposite of Goku as a character.

Goku would get major depression and go into exile after losing to a new enemy and Pan would be the new lead who effortlessly defeats everyone without a lick of training and snaps Goku out of his funk to jump back into combat to sacrifice himself and become a Ki Ghost-

What if Chi Chi can use magic? Magic is a recurring thing in Dragon Ball and even the main plot in the Buu Saga, so I would like a little more. So it would be interesting though probably not super canon shattering if we get Witch Chi Chi who focuses more on magic than martial arts, chores would be a breeze honestly she can go all Sorcerer's apprentice with her house(If a walking, smoking, talking rabbit can turn people into carrots with a single touch was sent to the moon by a magic pole anything goes at this point). The other thing to consider is Gohan, Goten, and Pan now all have access to a new form of power distinct from Ki.

okay not gonna lie when the DB Super dub was happening I used to hope that Disney would acquire the broadcast rights to it since they were going through some sort of weird anime phase on their channel.

Shueisha just owns the manga rights to Dragon Ball, if anybody owns it out right, it would be Toriyama himself, since he gets royalties from ALL properties from ALL departments, Shueisha, Toei, Bandai-Namco etc. I'm surprised to hear otherwise coming from you? Really surprised. But anyway, what I really wanted to say was; yeah you just want Marvel and Toei to work together again like they did from the late 70's to the late 80's again don't you? You'll probably do some kind of 'what if' video if Dragonball's toys were owned by Hasbro and if Sunbow-Marvel would have to produce a Dragonball cartoon and that the western version would somehow be integrated into the Hasbroverse at the time by having Hector Remirez do the news broadcasts for the show.....And Toei would animate that on top of the actual anime, that or they'll just get AKOM to do it, LOL!
